Granddaddy Purple 50W Start Misstake

23_GG_GROW Update: 10/2: She's standing, finally. Usually, I have very stable seedlings, maybe it was genetics or not enough light at the beginning. I don't know the genetics at all from that perspective. Let's go. Update 10/1: So now it's going well. She's looking good and has gotten past the sudden "Weed Death." Update 9/28: I found another SF AC5 and installed a clip fan since she was stretching too much for my taste. I increased the PPFD to 450, measured with my VBR-100. 9/26 She got her 5L pot today. The soil mix is: 3L Floragard Professional Grow Mix 0.7L Seramis 0.7L Bio Bizz Coco Mix 0.6L Plagron Light Grow Mix The seedling is basically sitting in a cluster of Plagron Light Mix with Seramis for a gentle start. Watering is done exclusively with rainwater pH 5.8 with a 0.1-0.2 EC. I'm thinking about 2 weeks of veg for 4 - 8 colas since she should stay very small and I don't know the strain, so we'll see how she develops. 50W = 50 really good stable grams is the goal.

23_GG_GROW Week 2 begins, looks good so far. On 10/09, it was topped to 4 side shoots. The top was made into a cutting. Let's hope it roots, if not there will definitely be another chance to take one.

23_GG_GROW 16.10 Enjoyed the third training session. Did the second LST training today, I think by the end of the week it will go into flowering. The first LST training was 3 days ago. Considering how thin it was at the beginning, I can no longer bend the arms properly since it's getting such thick, sturdy branches. Since it’s only supposed to grow 90cm tall, I hope to train it with MainLining until 1 week before the end of flowering.

23_GG_GROW 16.10 Here we go into flowering. 19.10 Third training + Defoliation The strain or genotype is absolutely not suitable for LST MainLining, very sturdy, very thick branches. From the thin seedling, it has really become a wood monster. Well, let's see if it survives; it wasn't great with the training.

23_GG_GROW So she is in position, just 2 weeks until the stretch stops. I'm leaving every side shoot on her even if it's unnecessary until the end of the stretch. Since I don't know how tall this will get, that should take a bit of height off. Otherwise, she's a really strong resistant genetic. You always underestimate a plant, but this stuff is weed. Let's see how the week goes. Addendum 28.10. Today I removed a few leaves and also the shoots that really have no space. I'm really impressed with the 50W SANSI so far, considering everyone says cheap Chinese lamps can't do anything.....this one is really healthy and fit.

23_GG_GROW She's growing and is now slowly coming into bloom. The 50W is too little to light up a 40x40 area; 80 to 100W would really be better here. If I do this again, I would train the plant smaller to 30x30 or 25x25 cm so that the colas are fully in the light and not just barely like the main colas are now. If I raise the lamp higher, I lose PPFD in the core and end up under 700... Well, it's a test. 40cm is also big with a lot of stretch, but there's just not enough light.

23_GG_GROW 50W is done! The plant should have been a third bigger.... Way too little light on the area, what a stretch!!!!!! Well, since I didn't want to throw it away, it gets to spend the last weeks under 150W Mars EVO in the mother box, while the mothers have moved into the tent. The GDP was so happy after 30 minutes with over 1000ppfd that it immediately started showing Praying Leaves. Let's see how it goes from here. I'll test 50W again, but with a much smaller or shorter veg.

23_GG_GROW Every day 2L water 300ml drain. Thirsty is she in the wind channel.

23_GG_GROW She's getting everything out of herself. Buds are looking pretty nice. If I hadn't done that 50W crap test, it could have really turned out to be a beauty.

23_GG_GROW She's really getting everything out of the 5 liters and the condition she's in. Really monster buds and great trichomes. It stinks too.

23_GG_GROW No brown trichomes yet, it can stay a bit longer. Intense head buds.

23_GG_GROW On January 4th, it's finally happening. After the "screwed up" start with 50W, and the big mistake of working with genetics I don't know.... Growth... Flowering... Etc... I have to admit it was worth putting them under a 150W and just letting them do their thing. Massive stinky buds shining with resin, no matter which strain, even the individual calyxes at the bottom are just full of awesome stinky sugar!!! They stink, stink, and stink again, it’s so amazing. Since everyone perceives smells extremely differently, I can only say what I think it smells like. Sweet, heavy, musky. Delicious, delicious. Now it's just rainwater with nothing added. My rainwater has a pH of 5.8 and 0.038ms. So basically nothing in it at the right pH.

23_GG_GROW It's been 7 days in the jar after 7 days of drying. First test is top-notch.
