Today the GG4 is starting in my tent.... YEAHHHHH I'm excited. (Love the Gorilla strains)😈😍
I'm starting the germination process - with the glass of water method.
Scientifically speaking, the glass of water method is not only the simplest but also the most effective method. (With hydrogen peroxide) That's why it's my favorite...😉
This time I'm using my germination box from CannaKan.
With 50ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and 150ml of tap water (distilled water is supposed to be better). Ratio 1:3
After the first 12 hours, I submerged the seeds and after a total of 24 hours, I reduced the water level to the minimum. All 3 seeds have germinated nicely and are ready for the next phase. (GG4 See photo 👆)
However, I'm giving it another 6 - 12 hours this time (so that the root is about 1.5 - 2cm long) Currently, it's about 0.8-1cm
Yeahh after another 7 hours, the GG4 seedling is ready to be planted. (SEE PHOTO 👆) (Total germination time 31 hours.)
Day 2:
After the 31 hours of germination and successful sprouting, I planted the seedling in about 0.6 liter pots with BioBizz Lightmix 70% and 30% Coco from Plagron pre-watered and into a 2-3cm deep hole (of course in the middle of the pot).
I left the pot in the tent at 24°C & 80% humidity in the dark (see photo), with light air circulation from a fan (but not directed at the pots) on. Until the seedling slightly emerged from the soil. That happened on day 3.
Thus, the seedling phase is over and I've set the light for day 4 (timer, distance, light intensity) The so-called first day of the seedling phase 😜🙌 and I hope to see you there too.

The 2nd week of the growth phase is upon us...
...and reality hits hard.
I tried to run this grow with a higher VPD value and thus without having to add extra CalMag. According to a study, with an increased VPD, no additional CalMag should be added under LEDs. However, I'm still watering with tap water.
So I checked the values from my water utility. In my water, I have Calcium = 78 mg/l and Magnesium = 5.3 mg/l, giving a ratio of 14:1 😰. This is quite far from the optimal supply of 2:1 - 4:1 CalMag... 😅
The best solution would be to use a filtration system like the Watertrim. A cheaper option is to get Mono-Magnesium (or Mono-Calcium if needed) and balance the water in the right ratio.

@Kushycat, hi, they are thriving wonderfully next to GG4 😋 however, GrowDiaries is having issues with creating Fem10/11. And I can't add the seeds in the diaries. Probably because my diary was already created before they were in the database. Now I'm still considering whether to continue like this or create a new one... so I can choose them as seeds... but for now, I will continue like this 😅😉 so something should come up soon 😇
