CalicoCatMom Planted directly into coco coir on 10/3/25 in windowsill container. Sprouted on 10/6/25 - moving to basement greenhouse. Starting build a soil in 7.5 gal fabric pot to get the living soil ready. There is currently two strains in the grow tent drying. Will move the seedling into the grow tent once the other strains are dray and ready to move out.

CalicoCatMom Not a lot happening with the grow right now. I was in the greenhouse last night and decided the plant was healthy enough to transplant into its forever home. I started the build-a-soil about two weeks ago, by prepping the soil before transfer. I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it, but it's a living soil so I thought I'd get things moving along. I've never used build-a-soil before, so fingers crossed that it lives up to the hype. I'll be moving this into the tent shortly - I have a couple things drying in there right now and just need some time for trimming.

CalicoCatMom Moved into the grow tent on 10/14/25. I finished drying and trimming my last two and cleaned out the tent to get it ready for a new grow. Not a lot happening, but I was able to set up the parameters and light ppfd of 317 and 24 inches from the light with 80%. I will drop this down as she gets older, but for now, I'm watching the newly transplanted seedling to make sure it's happy with the substrate. Build-a-soil is new to me, and I've heard it has high nutrients and can potentially burn the plant, so I'm watching this new grow very carefully. If it doesn't look good, I'll move back to Fox Farms.

CalicoCatMom Compared to my other grow, this one is flourishing! Planted both around the same time and one is clearly doing better than the other. Initially after transplanting, I started seeing some yellowing on the tips of the leaves and panicked. I thought, because I had heard about nutrient burn with this soil, that my little seedling may not survive long after transfer. I'm happy to say that it was a little stressed and underwatered but that has since been remedied and the little seedling is doing quite well.

CalicoCatMom Starting off the week strong with a week 4 update. The grow is looking healthy and full. I haven't had to water the plant much. It's been over a week since I watered, but because the humidity is at 70% the plant is staying adequately hydrated and hasn't needed a lot of intervention. It's sitting on an AC Infinity Self-Watering Fabric Pot Base. I keep that filled eventhough the roots haven't made it down that far yet.

CalicoCatMom Topped at the 5th node. The internodal spacing is very short with this plant. The plant is throwing fan leaves and they're barely passing the top of the fabric pot. The light is at 404 PPFD, humidity adjusted down to 60%. I haven't had to water the plant in over two weeks thanks to the self watering basin. Seems to be doing well with the current set-up. This is my first attempt at using build-a-soil and plain tap water. Fingers crossed for a healthy grow.

CalicoCatMom I was wanting to put up the ScrOG netting, but the plant is so very compact in stature. It's getting decent light, and the moisture wicking system seems to be doing very well in both setups. Leaves are looking nice, but I was hoping for a bit more height. Maybe we'll see a growth spurt soon and get that screen going. Right now, the plant seems happy in it's current environment. Only adding water to the Self-Watering Fabric Pot Base. I'm adding about a gallon of water per week for the plant to draw upon.

CalicoCatMom Got a little busy this week and was a bit delayed on updating my grow project. The really nice thing is that I'm not having to add nutrients or monitor the water as much, this is a lazy person's dream. I unfortunately found myself getting a couple projects and neglected the growth for a week. Seems like everything is looking very nice. I'm debating if I want to flip it next week. I would have liked to see more height out of this, and that's why I'm tempted to let it grow another week before flipping to flower. I think I'll stick to my plan and flip it - use this as a template when I grow this strain again and use the same substrate.

CalicoCatMom This is my favorite part - going into flower! Spent some time on the grows this week. Defoliation, adjusting of the light, adjusting humidity. I was tempted to let it go another week, but I really wanted to keep consistent with recommendations. I'm very excited to see flowers soon!
