Fire in 40x40

Stony_German Tag 21 veg I've decided to keep this report after all, otherwise it gets too complicated and confusing. The Blue Razzsicle from Clearwater Genetics is a cross of (Now 'N' Later x Mai Tai) x Dante's Wrath (= Astronaut Status 24 x Dante's Inferno (Black Velvet Pheno). She is in her final 8-liter fabric pot and will also go into flowering in 7-10 days since there isn't much space in the 40 x 40. She has been topped and is being fed for the first time with Canna Terra Mineralish at an EC of 1.2, so it's very lightly dosed, and a pH of 6.0. Mycorrhiza and bacteria are from Dynomyco Spark and the regular Dynomyco granules. Of course, silica is a must. I'm using the immediately available (also as foliar feeding) Mono-Silica 40%. I hope to have fewer problems this time than with the way too big Iced up Cherries. May the Ganja Goddess be merciful and not let the stretch get out of hand. Stony_German Day 30 veg and day 37 overall. The lady is doing great. I'm trying to fill the small tent as much as possible with bud clips. I'm currently at 14 hours of light and 10 hours of darkness. Every day there's now one hour less light after going from 18 to 16 and then two days at 14. It doesn't follow any plan; I just did it this way this time. Everything is going much better this time in this mini grow. I'm feeding according to the Canna Terra Feeding chart with an EC of 1.3 and a pH of 6.0 at 600 ppfd light. So far, the Blue Razzsicle is handling everything well and has a very nice growth. I should have put the very compact Red Hot Violet in the small tent, but since it's already in a 16-liter pot, that's not possible anymore. Until next weekend. Stony_German Tag 4 Flowering You can see that the stretch is just around the corner. I'm trying to keep the 24W veg blue spectrum LED on above the 54W Sanlight Flex with full spectrum during the stretch phase. I'm curious if this helps them stretch less. From day 21, when lollipopping is due, I will remove the veg LED. The lady is in top health, drinking a lot and enjoying life. The temp could be a bit higher, but the exhaust, which keeps the humidity in check, is pulling too much room temperature due to the small tent size. So, a higher temp can't build up. But that's not a problem, just worth mentioning. I'm feeding according to the Canna Terra schedule with EC-1.5 and pH-6.0. In the next 10 days, we'll see if the little tent doesn't explode. 🙏🙏

Stony_German Tg 11 Flowering: the stretch isn't quite over yet. However, you can already see the buds forming. I don't think much more height will come. I can still go up 10 or 15 cm. This way, they are getting around 700-800 PPFD. That should work, but we'll know more accurately in 10 days. The lollipopping will be done next weekend. Fertilization was done according to the Canna Terra Feeding chart with EC - 1.5 and will be increased to EC - 1.6 this week. Only after the lollipopping will we switch to Canna Terra Flores. As I said, strictly following the Feeding chart. pH - 6.0-6.2 as always, the pH is adjusted regardless of whether it's water or nutrient solution. Oh yeah, every second watering will have nutrients added. Water-Feed-Water-Feed... With only an 8-liter pot, nutrients might be given at every watering later in flowering, so before switching to Canna Terra Flores, I'll flush with a lot of drain to avoid any salt buildup. That's why I also use Yucca powder from Raw as a wetting agent. I'm already looking forward to the buds and I'm curious how this mini-grow will perform. Last time everything was suboptimal. The Iced up Cherries were way too big and too old in a much too large pot, organic, etc., and still, the result was visible, but only because they were so extremely frosty. Stony_German Tag 18 Flowering I had to do some extreme Lollipopping because it's just too small of a tent to give all the buds light while also being able to control the humidity. I don't have a dehumidifier here to make it easier for me. So I'd rather have fewer buds and no mold. I also left some larger leaves at the bottom since they can still get some light through the radical defoliation. Starting today, I will also switch to the flowering fertilizer Canna Terra Flores. That's why I carried out the last two watering sessions with 3 liters to flush out any possible salt deposits with the heavy drain. What I'm curious about is whether the additional application of Plagron Powerbuds along with Cannaboost is responsible for the rapid transition to flowering. I can imagine that it could be. Especially seeing trichomes already makes me happy. Those who know me know that I love nothing more than Frosty Bitches. I will increase the EC during the week to EC-1.6 - 1.8, and the pH will stay at 6.0-6.2. Wishing all visitors and grow buddies a great weekend.

Stony_German Day 25 Flowering The buds are formed and the trichomes are there too. For Day 25, quite a remarkable resin development. The smell isn't too strong yet, but that will come. Watering is done daily with about 1 liter. With 8-liter fabric pots, I can't allow for a 2-day dryback; that would be too much. Feeding is done with an EC of 1.6 and a pH of 6.0-6.2. Once the lollipopping is done, there's nothing to do except admire the lady in her flowering. I just love the flowering phase the most, like probably all growers. No matter what comes out of this grow and what the yield will be, it's a bonus. Since I'm always well-stocked anyway, I have to see how everything develops and then decide whether to make buds or hash from her. Have a nice Sunday to all visitors, growmies, and buddies.

Stony_German Tag 32 Flowering Very nice and frosty, and the smell is candy candy and more candy. I'm totally a candy, fruity, gassy fan. These terp profiles are just my favorite and somehow taste the best to me. In 10 days, there will be the P+K Boost (as always from day 42-50). Right now, I'm feeding with EC-1.6 and pH-6.0 every other watering. What I want to mention is that I'm balancing out the calcium excess in my tap water with a little bit of Epsom Salt.

Stony_German Tag 39 Flowering We are in the bulk phase and also at the beginning of the PK 13/14 boost. Over the next 10 days, Canna PK 13/14 will be added to every second watering according to the feeding chart. However, I won't go higher than EC-1.8. Only if I don't see any burning will I go up to EC-2.0 once. The buds have turned out quite well for 8-liter pots and only 54w. The smell is candy with a little sherbert terps. Since the gassy aroma always comes in late, I'm very curious. It smells really, really delicious. The buds are already firm now, and I like the trichome density. Please don't trust the ml indication as I water according to EC after adjusting the tap water to EC-0.4. I always add a pinch of Epsom salt to the CalMag agent to correct my elevated calcium tap water. We'll see what else happens here. It's also slowly turning purple. Here's some bud porn to enjoy.

Stony_German Tag 46 Flowering We are in the middle of the PK 13/14 booster phase. The EC - 2.0 is the highest they have ever received. Otherwise, every second watering is fertilized with EC-1.8 and pH-6.2. Starting from day 50, the EC will be slowly reduced. The purple looks nice too. Unfortunately, I have a little bleaching on the top bud due to the height. I can't raise the LED another cm. Frost is just how I love it, and the terps are very strong towards Sherbert. Sweet candy and creamy sandalwood gassy. I know this terp profile from Growbros and also friends who had Sherbert genetics from the pharmacy. I know how good that tastes and it easily exceeds the 20% THC mark. Luckily, there's a CSC nearby that can do a test for €20. In about 3 weeks, this lady will be done. I want at least 20% amber-colored trichomes from this lady. She looks beautiful. I would have preferred her in the big tent with a larger pot, but which other one goes in the small tent? You can never know. It's a shame, but it will definitely be 40g of fine top shelf.

Stony_German Tag 53 Flowering The end of this grow is getting closer. I'm not adding any more nutrients; there should be enough for the last 14 days. Maybe I'll give a one-time final boost with PK 13/14 potassium, but we'll see. The buds are already rock hard, and the trichome heads can slowly mature to about 20% amber. The calyxes will start to swell now, adding even more density and weight. It should be ready in 2 weeks, but I'm not stressed if it takes 3 weeks. I believe everything should be done by day 65-70. Why Canna Terra is the best nutrient when using tap water can be seen by everyone, but here's why I say that. The whole grow has gone almost without much drainage during watering and feeding. Only when switching to flowering nutrients ("Canna Terra Flores") and before the PK-13/14 boost (day 42-49 flowering) did I water with three times the amount of water per pot volume, so 2.5 liters, to flush the substrate of possible salt deposits. Otherwise, I mostly watered/fed daily with 1-1.25 liters. I've tried the entire product line from 6 mineral nutrient manufacturers. They all worked well, but Canna stands out significantly. Should I try Athena (which is all the hype right now)? Let me know if anyone is interested; I would be curious, but I don't use an RO system, so I don't think Athena would be as good for me as Canna. That's my opinion, especially when using tap water. I've seen some amazing grows with Athena live from my grow bro, and everyone is thrilled, but they use osmosis water. Enough rambling, sorry, but I'm on weekend Wake'n'Bake, and the Frozen Tropicana Cherry from the last grow is great for starting the day. Stony_German Tag 60 Flowering: There are still no amber-colored trichomes present. While a large part is milky, this genetics will probably need another 1 to 2 weeks to reach the 10-20% that I like. It might get tight if I factor in another 10-14 days for drying, then the harvest will be at the latest on December 20th. To speed up the ripening a bit, I'm only giving 11 hours of light now. I've been watering with Canna Flush for a few days to wash out the remaining salts from the soil and to speed up the fade a bit. In the last week, a strong gassy note has come in, but the dominant scent is still a Sherbert-Candy mix. The buds are rock hard and there are still many calyxes swelling up. For a 40x40 grow, I’m very satisfied; what’s going to come out at the end is going to be impressive. Now it's time for bud porn. Stony_German Tag 67 Flowering We're close to the end of this journey. I've removed most of the large leaves to help the lower buds mature, which can be seen by the light green color indicating less light has reached them. I hope that growers with a bit less experience pay closer attention to the trichome development, because far too many would have harvested last week on day 60 even though the trichomes were only milky. But I say there are two types of milky, and only now are they really milky and not cloudy or slightly milky. The amber is just starting to appear slowly, but only here and there one or two. I think this beauty still needs a good week to develop 10%-15% amber. I always say better a little late than too early. You rarely find genetics that take less than 9 weeks, and the terp profile only gets better. You've waited 3 months, so why is it so hard for so many to wait just one more week? No more pH adjustment. The lady is also drinking much less in the last week, which is a strong indicator that not much is happening in the plant anymore and she hardly needs energy. 1 liter is enough for her for 2-3 days. This is also the best time to give less light. The Sanlight Stixx 54w is now at 80%, and the 700 ppfd is completely sufficient. The temperature is also going down a bit, which is good for the terps. Stony_German Tag 76 Bloom and Harvest Time Wow, what a genetics. What's hanging there is extremely frosty and the buds are solid as a rock. Now the calyxes are at their max swelling. Not much has happened in the last week. I see few clear trichomes but still hardly any amber ones. That could also be genetic. I've had strains that only had a few until the end. She's also drinking very little. All signs that she's at the end. But I have to keep in mind that the big ladies are also at day 55 of flowering and the drying of the Blue Razzsicle takes about 12 days. Then the new seeds will be popped, and a new journey begins. (little hint; it will be a growing for potency run, all strains that can have a lot of THC. Dad and boss (only at work, not at home 😆) needs something for his nerves 😁.
