Started this budget grow with 36"x20" grow tent and 1000w cheapo LED bought from amazon. Started with 2 seeds from Herbie Head Shop. One never cracked so going with one plant. Soil is 1/2 Miracle Grow Potting Soil and 1/2 organic potting soil from Home Depot, Also added a bunch of MG perolite to the mix. Didn't realize until after that the perolite had nutes already added. Started seed in wet paper towel then moved to Styrofoam cup with 100% miracle grow. Day 12 transferred to 3 gallon mesh pot. Plant was already root bound. This is only my second grow. First was 15+ years ago. Will see how things go with the MG soil....
Day 14 from sprout. Looking pretty healthy. Few notes. I have the light right up on the plant and am running it 24 hrs. Since this is an auto I want to push it as much as possible to get it as big as possible in the few weeks it's in veg. No fans. No plans for any nutes until well in to flowing if at all. May have to flush if there are signs of nute burn in the flowering stage. Not monitoring temp, humidity, ppm or pH.....
Looking pretty healthy. Plant is very short but getting wider by the day.
Did notice 1 lower fan leave curling slightly. Pulled it away from the light for 12 hrs. Not much change. Watering with distilled water.
Day 20: Leaves have stopped curling and have recovered nicely, Misting leaves twice a day. Still have light right down on the plant. Visible growth daily.
Beginning of week 4. Plant is looking very healthy and green. Probably getting too much N from the miracle grow but not worried, Plant is super short and compact. Leaving town for 3 days. Moved light up to 15 inches and watered a ton. Keeping fingers crossed all is well while I am gone.
Just returned. She is still going strong. No issues. Plant is getting super bushy.
Begin week 5. Still in veg but very close to early flower. Some nute burn on tips of leaves of bud sites.
Day 35. Still in veg. Lots of bud sites but I don't think it has flipped. Plant is very healthy looking. Noticing a sticky sap on some of the leaves. Decided to put lights on 18-6 and pull them back to 30" from plant.
Beginning week 6. Added FF Big Bloom. Plant is getting huge with plenty of bud sites. Did some defoliation as she was getting very bushy. Main base of the stem is thicker than my finger. White hairs showing....
Begin Week 7. Not much activity. Bud site are stalled...patiently waiting for buds to get bigger. Don't think this one will be finished for several weeks...
Day 46: Starting to see colas stretch out. Still looks healthy with a ton of bud sites. This auto should yield quite a bit as the plant is huge.
On day 52 of this White Widow Auto. Any recommendations on how to fatten up these buds? This auto was supposed to be done in 62 days but I am thinking it will take several more weeks as the buds are small. Currently using just big bloom.
The question was how to fatten up the buds. Not when he should flush and harvest. The products “dry kool bloom” or “beastie budz” by fox farms are similar that the are about 0-50-30 they are intended to be used in late flower to shock the plants into swelling and trichomes development.
Disclaimer! Do not do what I do....
I use them at 1/4 tea spoon for 4 gallons of water starting week 3 of flower. Mind you I am hydroponic. I maintain and go to a half tsp on week 5. Week 6 hours I use a full table spoon for 4 gallons and run that until I flush. Everything I read says NOT to do it but I got my info from an old timer and tried it with good results. Have a look and my stardawg and dark devil diaries.
Again I can not recommend that’s what you do. I’m just sharing my information with you.
@KanEbusKev I just read your latest update and your plan of a final week of growth after a good flush sounds
like a good plan just don't leave the soil too moist before you leave as you don't want to return to any mold problems
Day 65: Buds are SLOOOOOWLY adding mass. Not much to report. Getting about a quart of water with 15ml/gal of Big Bloom. Might have to up the Big Bloom.....will look in to that. Hope I can get her flushed, finished and dried before going on vacation in July.....
Day 67: Upped Big Bloom to 30ml/gal. Still slowly adding mass.
Day 74: Was gone for 5 days. Over watered before I left home. When I returned found some yellowing leaves. Thinking it may be nutrient lock out as I haven't been monitoring PH levels.
Will decide today whether to start flushing with plain water or try to get the PH in line and continue feeding.
Day 76: Yellowing of leaves has slowed. Not going to flush for 4-5 days. Think she's got a few more weeks.
Beginning of week 12, Day 78. Leaves are still slowly yellowing. Decided to flush it a few days ago and give it a small feeding.
Not sure if that was the right decision as I haven't noticed any more growth of the buds. Also noticed today there is not much smell coming from the plant this morning. Going to flush for another week or so and then harvest.
Day 80. Not much Growth to report. Nugs are very dense. Loupe being delivered today to check trichomes.
Day 81: Trichomes are crystal clear and look like glass. Looks like she still has some time to go. Flushing and waiting.
Day 84: End of week 12. Trichomes have quickly turned to 95%+ cloudy and about 1% amber. Hopefully she gets to 30% amber soon so I can harvest her. I need to go out of town Sunday for a week and need to try and decide whether to keep her going or cut her before I leave.
Day 86: Week 13, Still going....trichomes are cloudy but no amber. Been flushing with plain water and the nute deficiency is showing. Leaves are yellowing on entire plant. Leaving for 6 day vacation tomorrow. Unless something drastically changes in the next day, I will be watering the crap out her and let her go another week. Keeping fingers crossed.
Week 14: Day 96. Returned from vacation to find she is still alive. Not much change in the color of the trichomes. Most cloudy but very few amber. I chopped 4 stems before I left and let them dry. Smoked a small bud and was not impressed the buzz. Still ust feeding her water. Going to give her a few more days and then chop her. Interestingly she is now growing new white pistols on the top of the buds....wonder what that's all about??

Cut her down today. Final harvest was a large amount as seen in the photos.
The buds in the mason jar where cut a few weeks ago as mentioned in previous comments. They were dried for a week then put in to the jar.....they do not smell like weed at all. More like cut wet grass.
The rest of the plant that was cut today also has zero scent to it. After trimming the leaves from the buds I discovered white mold on 90% of the buds!!!! Don't know how long the mold infested the buds but I have noticed that the aroma left the plants several weeks ago. I saved a few buds to dry just to see how they turn out....the rest went in the trash.. :(
Pretty disappointed as the grow was going so well. Plant was easy to grow and took very little maintenance. I think the cool air of my basement along with some over watering contributed to the mold. Learned quite a bit, just disappointed that I won't be smoking any of this. Only other complaint was the fact that it took so long to finish. Advertised time was less than 60 days.
Gonna try again soon.

Hi @KanEbusKev! Autoflowers being late is a common thing, especially if it's your 1st run, since autos are sensitive to almost everything, a slight stress could affect its growth and delay the harvest by a few days. Don't worry and don't rush it, you want fully mature buds with red/orange pistils and milky trichomes. You're on the right track but from what I see on your last pictures, they will need 2-3 more weeks to fully fatten up and reveal their potential. I would recommend ~10 more days with the PK booster of your choice, then a good flush for a week or more. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊
