floristician Was enjoying the process of growth. I fed only half the recommended PK dose because the leaves are already a deep green. The tap is hitting. First issues… anyone an idea? CalMag? Light? Overwatering? ChatGPT says a little bit of everything.

floristician Something went wrong last week :(… I think I have a watering issue. I thought that with BioTabs the soil should always stay moist, so I never let the soil dry out completely. That was probably a mistake, because the roots aren’t getting enough oxygen. On day 38 I watered with 1.5 liters of water. The leaves perked up again. But on day 41 the leaves were drooping again, even though the pot is still heavy. I don’t understand why the plant is letting the leaves hang like that. I suspect it’s simply been watered too much.

floristician The plant is still giving me trouble. The leaves aren’t drooping as much anymore, but everything points to a calcium–magnesium dosing issue. I’m just going to finish the grow and see what the final result looks like.

floristician I think I’ve gotten the watering problem under control. The plant has recovered a bit, and I hope the buds will still get thicker now.

floristician The plant is now building up a lot of bud mass. By coincidence I bought some coconut water at the drugstore and noticed that it contains a lot of potassium, so I added about 30 ml of the coconut water to the plant, and I feel like it gave the flowering a real boost.

floristician The plant is developing very well now. The buds are getting thicker and thicker. I decided to take the risk and applied a bit more LST, even though the stems are already quite hard. The goal was to get more light down to the lower buds and to make sure the buds aren’t packed too tightly together — rot prevention being the key word here. I also still have some BioBizz nutrients left that I want to use up, so that I can eventually switch over completely to BioTabs. Unfortunately, the trichomes are still a bit far from the stage I’m aiming for. I’m still thinking about when the right time would be to stop feeding altogether.

floristician Autumn is coming, and the leaves are starting to change color beautifully. The plant is now drawing on its last reserves. I won’t be fertilizing anymore this week—only Top Max and Alpha Boost, plus a bit of CalMag. I might even leave out the CalMag; I’m still undecided about that. I’m thinking maybe another week, possibly even two, and then she should be ready. I like it with a bit more amber. I do feel, though, that the plant is still building flower mass and hasn’t really entered the ripening phase yet.

floristician I think the final week has begun. Unfortunately, the trichomes still aren’t as mature as I’d like them to be. I’ve stopped watering now and I’m no longer adding any nutrients.

Happy Harvest Day!

In conclusion, I can say that the grow was okay. I’m a bit disappointed that male pollen sacs developed—I had expected the genetics to be more stable. I can’t comment on the smoking experience yet, as the buds are still curing. That said, it’s also fair to mention that I ran into some difficulties during the grow. This will definitely have been the last automatic I grow in a small tent. I’ll most likely only use the F1 hybrids from Royal Queen Seeds outdoors in the future.

How is Your result with the dryferm vs Classic?
Sodaboi
Sodaboi commented2mo ago
@floristician, okay and If i have a good climation it may me unnecessary. I heard from ppl whose harvest molted in there and there is also this dry rocket
floristician
floristician commented2mo ago
@Sodaboi, Mold is definitely the biggest concern with these bags. That’s why I’m cautious and never dry the entire harvest in them at once. I also prefer a wet trim to reduce the moisture load inside the bag from the start. Regarding the Dry Rocket: It's a great tool, but the price point is quite high compared to other solutions. What convinced me to try the bags were the lab results shown in a video by Sanlight. They demonstrated that Terpene retention is significantly higher in the bags because they help maintain a more stable environment.

i agree to you move taking less- less is more in growing, and feedingschedules are only recommendations

@Mia_BIOTABS, The problem now is that I used about one-third BioBizz All-Mix in the pot because I still had some left from an old bag. Next time, I’ll stick with 100% BioBizz Light-Mix again. That’s why I currently have too many nutrients in the soil.

hi, well wateringregime is one of the hardest thing to learn in my eyes., and for the tabs you dont have to care , they dont need to be always wet ( like you wrote) . just look for the plants needs. keeping the balnce in the grow, just takes time
