GrowInBavaria The first days have started! Unfortunately, my tent had to move at short notice. That's why the plants were temporarily in a smaller tent – with a significantly weaker light. I have to be honest: I didn't really pay attention to the light distance during that time, everything was more or less done by eye. As you can see, the plants have stretched a bit because of that, but it's not a big deal – it can be easily corrected during repotting! Currently, I have five plants going: - Apples & Oranges x1 - Zoap Rose x2 - Clementine Slush x2 For the strains I have in doubles, I will select the best (Pheno) from each. The first nutrient addition has also begun. I oriented myself with the nutrient calculator from Shogun. Recklessly, I didn't measure the drain during the first watering – only during the second round, after the nutrients were already in the substrate. What can I say: - The A&O had a drain EC value of 1.1 - The others were at 2.2 – ??? 😅 I then flushed the small pot (0.33 L) with regular water – but that also didn't bring any significant decrease in EC. I now suspect that my EC meter isn't measuring quite accurately. Fortunately, a replacement has already been organized. Since the soil still contains enough nutrients at the beginning, the next watering will just be water again. **************************************************************************************************************************** 🌱 A big thank you to DrainMaster for providing their product! GrowInBavaria VT10 – 06.10.2025 Yesterday, I repotted – a bit earlier than originally planned. Still, strong and healthy roots have already formed. Zoap Rose and Clementine Slush were selected based on smell and appearance. In the end, all three plants were repotted into 11-liter pots and each was watered with 3.5 L. This was also the first time using the DrainMaster. However, the measured drain had an EC value of about 3.3 and a pH value of 5.4. After some research, it seems that this is actually normal for the first watering – at least I hope so 😆. If anyone has more accurate info on this, feel free to reach out! Except for the Clementine Slush, all plants unfortunately showed significantly drooping leaves after repotting, especially noticeable with Apple & Oranges. I hope this stabilizes in the next few days. More updates will follow soon! VT13 - 09.10.2025 On 07.10.2025, all plants were topped after the 2nd node!

GrowInBavaria VT16 – 12.10.2025 The plants are overall developing quite well – maybe a bit slower due to the topping, but all in all, I'm satisfied. Unfortunately, I've noticed some initial deficiency symptoms in two plants, specifically a Cal/Mag deficiency. I suspect that by watering using the 1/3 method without additional nutrients, the reserves were depleted faster than expected. The soil is also still relatively moist or in the middle range, which makes it a bit tricky to water again. Still, I've decided to carefully give about 650 ml of nutrient solution around the affected plants. I think I can already see some initial improvements. VT17 – 13.10.2025 Today, I further secured the four outer shoots of all three plants downwards with plant supports. I did this in previous runs as well and had good experiences with it. One could have possibly waited a bit longer, as the support is now quite close to the stem – but I think it's not a big deal. Overall, I'm satisfied with the development. INFO: I watered the two plants with deficiency symptoms according to the feeding schedule of the third week – except for Cal/Mag, which I increased by 0.5 ml and adjusted to my water values.

GrowInBavaria VT24 – 19.10.2025 A lot has happened since my last post in week three. I've watered for the second time now – again with the same nutrient schedule as before. The drain EC value was again around 3.3, which is definitely too high and shouldn't be like that. After further research on Reddit and with the help of ChatGPT, I think I've figured out the cause: The problem likely lies with the soil as a medium. In Coco, it would be much easier to control – at least that's what most people say. I probably should have only watered with water, mixed with a bit of Cal/Mag, until the drain EC value is in the desired range – that is, exactly when the plant actually needs nutrients again. I'll handle it that way from now on 😁! Still, the plants currently look pretty healthy. Here and there, I've added a few LST sticks to train the plants to grow wider. During the fourth week, I will also start defoliating a bit, removing some large fan leaves that block light from the other shoots. If everything goes according to plan, I'll send all three plants into flowering at the end of week 5! VT25 – 20.10.2025 All the larger fan leaves have been removed so that all the shoots get enough light. I've noticed some brown discoloration on a few leaf tips; I think the last nutrient solution was a bit too strong, but it's not a big deal – in the next watering, I'll only give Cal/Mag mixed water!

GrowInBavaria 26.10.2025 In the meantime, defoliation has been done again. Additionally, on 27.10., another watering took place, this time without nutrient solution – just with Cal/Mag. A few slightly burnt leaf tips are due to the previously slightly too high EC value. Other than that, the plants are performing excellently! The EC value in the drain is now decreasing again, with the highest measured value at 1.6. In the 6th week, another watering will be done, this time again with nutrient solution. At the end of the 6th week, all three plants will be sent into the flowering phase. 🌱💪

GrowInBavaria This week, I lightly defoliated again since some leaves were overlapping and condensation had formed on them. The Clementine Slush is currently the largest plant at about 25 cm, while the others are around 21–22 cm. On 03.11.2025, all 3 plants were initiated into flowering, I'm excited! 🙌

GrowInBavaria 05.11.2025-BT3 It's on! The flowering stage has officially begun. Today, I watered according to the nutrient schedule for flowering week 1 and also set up the SCROG net. Now it's time to wait and look forward to the stretch! No more cutting until BT21 – then it's time for lollipopping and a proper defoliation. I hope everything goes smoothly and no plant hermies.

GrowInBavaria 09.11.2025 – BT8 The plants were watered again. The nutrient schedule in flowering week 2 remains unchanged and still corresponds to that of the first week. In the meantime, some shoots of the Clementine Slush have already been threaded into the SCROG net. 11.11.2025 – BT10 Since watering with my battery-powered wand was increasingly getting on my nerves due to the strong growth in the flowering phase – and I can't defoliate the plants at the moment – I built a little watering aid. Four watering nozzles were attached to each pot. Now I just have to press the button on the battery wand, and the water distributes evenly throughout the pot. I was able to connect the battery wand with the watering system – more on that soon!

GrowInBavaria 16.11-19.11.2025 In the third week of flowering, the plants have been watered a total of two times so far, each time following the fertilization schedule from Shogun Nutrients. Additionally, I used 2.5 ml of Sugar Royal from Plagron, which I won in the giveaway – big thanks to Plagron for that! The plants are developing beautifully and showing strong growth. Especially the Clementine Slush is shooting up like crazy. The distance to the lamp is currently about 35 cm; a higher positioning of the lamp is not possible at the moment, at least not without Easy Rolls. Unfortunately, the Oranges & Apples are showing strange calyxes that strongly resemble a male pollen sack. After much consideration, I have decided not to dispose of the plant for now, but to continue observing its development. In three days, I will defoliate and lollipop – only after that will I reassess the situation and take action if necessary. Let’s hope for the best! What do you think – should I be worried? 21.11.2025 – BT19 “It has finally been defoliated and lollipopped. The plant was also examined again for pollen sacks, but so far there are no abnormalities. Let’s hope it stays that way!”

GrowInBavaria 23.11.2025 – BT21 The lollipopping and defoliation have gone pretty well so far. The buds are growing like crazy and the smell is steadily increasing! However, there are also problems. When watering, 3.5 L was probably too little, so salts have likely built up in the substrate. This led to nutrient burn and a nutrient lockout. Since I already had a slight over-fertilization at the leaf tips with the Clementine Slush, this is particularly annoying. When draining the Zoap Rose, I measured an EC value of 2.0–2.1, and with the Apples & Oranges even 2.3–2.4, which is of course way too high. Both plants were then only watered with water (pH 6.2) and an addition of Cal/Mag – the Zoap Rose once and the Apples & Oranges twice.

GrowInBavaria 04.12.2025 – 07.12.2025 BT32-BT35 As already mentioned, I had a high EC value in the drain, which I believe was due to too little water. I also found out that you don't necessarily have to fertilize 100% according to the schedule. For BW1–BW3, an input EC of 1.9 is recommended, but I think 1.6 is completely sufficient here. After all the flushing and so on, I did a bit of research and used the help of Gemini and ChatGPT. If you provide good points of reference and ask targeted questions, you really get useful and coherent answers. Especially when I was flushing and the pH value had dropped significantly (5.6–5.8), I was clearly explained what to do – and what can I say: The drain definitely matched afterwards! Furthermore, I had tent spacers printed to prevent the tent walls from collapsing under negative pressure, and I defoliated again at BT35! Here are the values from input and output: Plant 1 – Zoap Rosé: Input: EC/pH = 0.4 / 6.8 Drain: EC/pH = 1.6 / 6.0 Plant 2 – Apples & Oranges: Input: EC/pH = 1.3 / 6.6 Drain: EC/pH = 6.2 / 1.6 Plant 3 – Clementine Slush: Input: EC/pH = 0.4 / 6.8 Drain: EC/pH = 1.7 / 6.1 Once again, a big thank you to DrainMaster – it definitely makes everything much easier for me, and the risk of root rot is off the table!

GrowInBavaria 09.12.2025 – BT37 to 13.12.2025 – BT41 During this period, I watered according to the schedule again. Based on the drain values, I made some adjustments here and there, especially with the pH level, with some supportive help from Gemini. By now, I can clearly see that each plant has its own needs. However, during the vegetative phase, it works well with a uniform nutrient schedule for all plants. Starting from the flowering phase, you need to pay closer attention: How well is each individual plant saturated, and how high can the EC value still be? There have been a few deficiencies here and there, but overall, I am still very satisfied with the progress so far.

GrowInBavaria 16.12.2026-BT44-17.12.2026-BT45 Watering continued according to the schedule. Here are the current input and output values for pH and EC: Zoap Rose: Input pH/EC: 6.8 / 0.7 Output pH/EC: 6.2 / 1.4 Apples & Oranges: Input pH/EC: 6.7 / 1.0 Output pH/EC: 6.1 / 2.1 Clementine Slush: Input pH/EC: 6.9 / 0.7 Output pH/EC: 6.1 / 1.6 It seems to me that especially Apples & Oranges is currently very heavily saturated. The trichomes already appear mostly milky to slightly amber, which makes it quite possible that this plant will be harvested in the near future. Additionally, I will soon be testing the DryRocket, which I'm really looking forward to. Part of the harvest will be dried with the DryRocket, while another part will be dried for comparison with DryFerm Bags. Quick info about the DryRocket: DryRocket is an app-controlled dryer for cannabis flowers, specifically designed for home growers. The device automatically regulates humidity based on the VPD value, using the existing ambient temperature as a reference. This allows for even and gentle drying, with temperature fluctuations automatically accounted for, and manual adjustments are not necessary. This helps retain more aroma and active compounds while significantly reducing the risk of mold. The drying process takes place in a closed system, usually lasting about 8–12 days, and can hold up to 1 kg of fresh plant material. Control is conveniently done via smartphone. Additionally, a special drying granulate ("RocketFuel") is used for optimal moisture regulation. For best results, the ambient temperature in the grow area should ideally be between 15 and 22 °C. GrowInBavaria 22.12.2025 – BT50 After a short, illness-related break, I'm back and have new updates on the plants. All plants were fertilized according to the schedule, except for the Apples & Oranges. They were not fertilized anymore because almost all the trichomes were milky to amber. Here, only pH-corrected water was given after the last drain. The change in leaf color due to nutrient burn is now becoming more pronounced. Visually, it's not particularly pretty, but in my opinion, it hasn't significantly affected the plants. 26.12.2025 – BT54 Same procedure as above. If the EC value was too high during the last watering in the drain, only pH-corrected water and Cal/Mag were added to both plants – except for the Apples & Oranges.

GrowInBavaria 30.12.2026 – BT58 For all three plants, with the exception of the Apples & Oranges, only pH-corrected water with Cal/Mag was given. The Apples & Oranges received only water for the last three watering sessions and has not been watered for about a week now, until harvest. Furthermore, this was the last watering in the flowering week with Cal/Mag. For the remaining two plants, there is now only water as well, to achieve an EC value of 1.0 in the drain.

GrowInBavaria 03.01.2026 – BT62 It's time: The first plant is being chopped. At the same time, it was also the most difficult of all three, but I'm satisfied with the result. The whole thing is now being dried with the DryRocket. Larger sun leaves were removed, and care was taken to ensure that as few buds or leaves touch each other as possible. I'm definitely very curious about what this thing can do and whether it will be an alternative for me in the future for drying. I'll keep you updated. At the beginning, the relative humidity was around 57–59%, and the grow tent was completely closed, including all openings. Initially, I tried to seal the tent with tape, but it came off relatively quickly. On 05.01., I wrapped the entire tent with cling film. This allowed the RLF to stabilize at 60–62.9%. From day 4 or towards the end of the drying process, the humidity then continuously dropped. The temperature remained mostly constant throughout the entire period between 19.5 and 21.5 °C. There was only a peak of 23.9 °C for a few hours; otherwise, no significant fluctuations. The buds were mostly small to medium-sized, visually very clean, and the terpene profile is still very well preserved. The wet weight was approximately 335g in total. After drying was completed, the buds were placed in an airtight jar for 2 days. The RLF there was at 52–54%, which is a bit tight for curing, but still acceptable. Everything has now been transferred to Grove Bags, where the RLF has stabilized at around 55%. The DryRocket works, but you really have to make sure that the tent is as airtight as possible. For me, it helped significantly from day 3 to wrap the entire tent with cling film. I want to make it clear that I am not being paid for testing the DryRocket, and I was not given the rocket for free. Overall, I consider the rocket to be a very good and well-thought-out idea. The product is Made in Germany, comes from my region, and to my knowledge, there has been nothing comparable in this form so far. The process is extremely simple: Harvest the plant, hang it up, start the rocket – that's all you have to do. Due to my feedback regarding the somewhat low RLF, DryRocket responded openly and solution-oriented. They did not try to shift the blame onto the customer. Instead, they are currently working on optimizations for smaller quantities under 500g. In the future, I would wish that the RocketFuel (Silica Gel) could be regenerated or sent in for regeneration. I would also find an expanded app with more parameters and settings very useful. The current price is €299 including Rocket Fuel. Whether it's worth the price is something everyone has to decide for themselves. Production and support are based in Germany, which is a clear plus for me. Another test is coming! GrowInBavaria Finally, the time has come: harvest time. The trichomes were mostly milky – just on point. Plus, there was a really nice tangerine smell, pleasantly fruity but not at all overpowering. After the harvest, everything went straight into the DryFerm Bags and was dried there for 9 days. After bagging into the Grove Bags, the relative humidity is currently at 63%, which is perfect for the subsequent cure process. At the moment, the smell is still a bit hay-like, which is completely normal. From experience, that settles during the curing, and the actual terpenes really start to shine. The yield was brutal – by far the largest harvest I've ever had. A final taste test will of course follow! GrowInBavaria 16.01.2026 – BT 75 Last but not least, it was time for the Zoap Rose. Unfortunately, towards the end of the flowering stage, I noticed that some buds had developed a few bananas. Additionally, I proactively removed five seeds. However, during the harvest, I was immediately greeted by extremely intense terps: very fruity, with a slight hint of gum. Out of all three plants, this one definitely had the best terpene profile. Now, let's get to the highlight of it all. This plant was also dried with the DryRocket, just like the Apples & Oranges before it. This time, however, I didn't let the plant dry completely; I harvested it three days after the last watering. After that, it went into a 40 × 40 × 160 cm tent. Originally, I planned to use my 120 × 60 tent, but after consulting with DryRocket, I was advised to use a smaller tent. The reason: In smaller tents, the relative humidity can often be controlled better, as it naturally rises faster than in larger spaces. So, said and done – the DryRocket got another chance. And what can I say: The result was bomb. After drying, the buds were at 62% RH in the Grove Bags, and the terpenes were still crazy on point. For comparison: The Clementine Slush was dried in DryFerm Bags at the same time. Here, I currently still have a somewhat hay-like smell, which usually settles during the subsequent curing before the actual terpenes come to the forefront. The tent itself was additionally sealed with cling film, so everything was truly airtight. I didn't have to worry about anything throughout the entire drying process. The app recommends a room temperature of about 19–23 °C – I was consistently in that range. I didn't manually intervene in the system even once. This time, the drying process was noticeably slower than during the first run. The granulate of the DryRocket was completely saturated at the end, which was clearly visible from the green coloring. Conclusion: The test is definitely passed! I can wholeheartedly recommend the DryRocket here. As I mentioned in my other post, I would like to see a few improvements for the future: A way to regenerate the RocketFuel (Silica Gel) myself or send it in for regeneration An expanded app with more parameters and settings The current price is €299 including RocketFuel.
