Budofpray Hello folks….I found the place nice so i toke a rocking chair and I sat here ! 👍 First off all excuse my bad English….. and happy to meet you ! 👊 Welcome on my diaries ------------------------------------- This my first grow and for some reasons, i can't grow indoor ! So i have to make an outdoor run ! As everyone knows, outdoor grow can give you great yields and good quality but there is so much parameters you can't control….the weather is the main of them… so i decided to have a plan A a plan B and even a plan C in case of 👍 So stay tuned because anothers diaries are incoming 😏 with mephisto seeds and a quick kush from dinafem. And for the Outdoor RQS contest I would like to warmly thank James for trusting me and offering this apaitissante Green Gelato that I would presenter you from the vegetative phase All of them will be dedicated to full bio-organic technics because this time i want to try Something really new for me ! Build a full biotopes based on supersoil but with terra petra method…A mega supersoil 😜 My goal : feed the soil... not the plant ! The philosophy ? Let Mother do the job 🙏…! but with the goal of having big harvests with best quality as possible. Hummm… 😜 So it will be also an experimental work… feel free to participate !! 👍 Now let's go into the subject : TERRA PETRA. These words have meaning for you ? also called the Amazonian dark earth These are Pre-colombian old technics used to fertilize bad soils to transform them in supersoil with amazing properties (see pics) !! One of the main ingredients ? Bio char of course ! and few technics to correctly use it…! If i know a part of the theory, it s never easy to reproduce it especially for weed specificities… that's why it will be an experimental grow journal…! I hope that Shiva (in Hindu texts Shiva has offered us this plant) will help me in this stain 🙏 Ôm nama Shivaya So ready to start ? "...Bio char is a fine-grained charcoal high in organic carbon and largely resistant to decomposition. It is produced from pyrolysis of plant and waste feedstock's…." As u can see on the micron pic the bio char acts like a sponge, he have a large capacity of absorption and CONSERVATION. this last word is so important because if u plan to use bio char you have to respect the first rule : never put biochar without it being previously and correctly activated. if u do that it will act like a vampire and will drink all your nutrients with the result of stopping growth for a long period First operation : feed the biochar ! we have to load it before the activation ! that's what we're going to see together. If I were an engineer or a researcher,I would define the postulate of my research as well as the ins and outs...This makes... This does not mean that all growers understands clearly how they live, how they act, what they need, when use it or not...how use them etc etc... For many manufacturers this market represents a huge economic stakes….. why ? is it only bullshit marketing ?? 😏 Not at all.... it is not only marketing ! 😜What is delirious (bullshit) this is the price sold by those manufacturers because of the cannabis stamp on their products ! keep in mind finally that fungis/bacterias have been studied for culture only on recent researchs works...they really started after the 60's/70's.... keep also in mind that it is only in 2013 that an international consortium coordinated by INRA has for the fist time decoded the complete genome of glomus intraradices - a weel known mycorhizae -...and what they found is really surprising !! as I said above " sharing knowledge helps Always helps to improve your own knowledge!!... it s a virtuous circle…" This last point define perfectly and totally what the symbiotic organisms are : a virtuous circle 👌 they create a share to receive 😇 Fing good information, and good pics is not and easy thing... i lost a lot of links du to the death of my HDD...and strangely it was hard to find them again…. but keep in mind that a lot of studies on the web about mycorhizes, trichoderma or bacteria are often made around a specific subjet/plant or abilities ….and there is a lot of fungis families and sub-families...so if you do your own research on them try Always to know the protocol and postulats 👍… -------------- THE FUNKY SYMBIOTIC FUNGIS FAMILY ----------------------- A - MYCORRHIZAE : a little history... A Scottish fossil named (20454😙) has allowed to date by carbon 14 mycoorhizae fungis to 450 million years 😲….( and may be it could be a litle older…) As i said before, it took 4 years for an international scientists consortium to correctly decode the génome of Glomus intraradices (one of the well know mycos)…. in order to understand why it use symbiosis….. and what they found is so surprising…. 😱 Glomus intraradices "miss/lost ?" only one gene absolutely indispensable for him to live and growth alone… wich means two things : or G.intraradices lost this gene by time (mutation ?)...or it never had that gene…!! 😊 Wich means that his joob : is only to help plants to grow…. 💪 wich means it could be the first brick for the vegetal regne stage !! 🙌🙏 And it might be the same for all Endophytic fungi, name given to beneficial fungis…!! ----- END OF ANCIENT HISTORY -------------😴😿😁 At this step it's important to understand the two strains of beneficial mycorrhizae that interested us. Endo-mycorrhizae : wich have their biotop most in deep soil Ecto-mycorrhizae : wich have his specific biotop on the first part of the soil…(we will see later why) ------------ Most of the time, growers use manufactured products based on Endo-Mycorrhizae…. Endo-Mycorrhizae are classified as an arbuscular fungie...we will see why after ! As u see before, Endo-Mycorrhizae's spores need a host to start his life… without that, the spore is on a stasis state… on a Survival mod if we can say…💀 A zombie mod… 😜 not dead not alive all Myco can do, is slowy establish a network… with really thin filaments….deploying a net all around her It only remains to wait….. wait 😒 then a filamentous contact with the roots occurs.... the growth's root pulls these spores towards her... and spore infection occurs. (i said infection because technically keep in mind that all fungis, even the beneficials, infect the plant !! it s important to remember this 😤) at this time we can say… MYCO IS FINALLY ALIVE !! 😜 So the infection started, myco go in the root and installs it communication body...a sort or arbuscule (small tree) Inside the root. (that why scientist call beneficial mycorrhizae, arbuscular) to simplify this body will exchange food for sugar ! Take a look on pics... i built a chronologic diaporama on the development and how act myco's 👍 Update ---------- Now !! Myco are at works !! and they work hard !! Mycellium is deploying by thin filamentous net everywhere… in the same time myco's produce a large range of bio-substances...enzyms for a large part…. but with the marvellous abilities to chelated nutrients….a large part of myco are incredible to degrade quicly phosporus which is one of the hardest macro-nutrients to be integrate by roots… récents studies has demontrated an increase up to 50 % of plant ability to feed.😲 with a good roots mycorrhization so mycos chelate nutrient and feed the roots (specificly in P.K and micro, iron, mag etc... to simplify)…. in exchange they ask in return : sugar from plant. then the virtous circle is fully active… myco allows a faster and better growth to plants - plant makes more sugar --- so myco's devellop his network and feed more the plants --- so the plant produces more ans more sugar 🙌🙌… on the paper it seems so simple…. and in fact it is ! 😅 but when we do our own soil...most of the time we do a synthetic soil.... with sterilized substrat . And if we want to make this magic thing happens we have to respect somes rules...we will see that in the conclusions...😚 to close the endo-myco's chapter, and for resume endo-myco have great power to feed by a large range action and accelerate growth, but as a fighter against another fungi its only action is defensive… we call in fungi resarch this aptitude : competition. that means that if a myco detects a pathogene fungis she... stops feed plant and use its aptitude to devellop mycellium and spores (see pics) in order to extend his opponent by taking all the space...and do a chokehold...the fungi rear naked choke 😜… Keep in mind that when fungis are on defense or attack mod (for trichoderma) they use all their Energy to do the job….that means if they stop feeding the plant they continue to be feeded by the plant...this is the Reason why we have to build a good soil to maximize fungis effects. ------------------------------------------- Let's talk quicky about ecto-mycorrhizae : its represent the first bareer against every attacks from the first part of the ground….!! but it is the most difficult to host properly in our grow…. how create the good biotope 😭 normally in natural environment this fungis represent the first element to degrade the fallen residues to the ground and wich also can connect to all little plants roots growing on the ground... and more than that it creates a biotope favorable to bacteria wich have abilities to absorb atmospheric nitrogen !!! (we well see how its possible later). There too... it seems simple...but not really ! 😱 this process in natural environnement is a slow process….wich mean it take time to have a properly natural humus on the first ground part… and may be some of you already understood that if we dont build a right biotope on this part of our soil we cannot host properly this fungi 😗...and bacteria. I made a quick overview of the ecto-mycorrhiozae topic….but in the third Week or may be the fourth….i gonna try to build an experience with companion plants….and at this occasion I would come back on ecto-myco and their importance 👍👍 stay tuned !! But to close now this chapter…. Keep in mind that ecto-myco infection to the roots - by what we call a Hartig network (see scheme on ecto root infection) - build a shell wall arround infected root...increasing by 3 the thickness...against pets attack… this network is the ectomycorrizae body to feed and exchange with plant Inside cells root….👍.... they build mycellium as myco but not so extended... It's almost the same type of symbiosis : food for sugar…. P a litle bit….K a lot and also micro nutes…. they also compete against other fungis like myco's action….. but in addtition they have an antibiotic role….wich mean they can repair damaged roots 🙌🙌.... it also seems that this fungi dind't loose his ability to degrade cellulose and lignite to the difference of glomus intraradices…but only to degrade natural humus. Its time now to talk about our next fighter ! Trichoderma families. exactly like mycos there is a lot of trichoderma strains…. hazarnium, hamatum, atroviride, longibrachiatum….etc but they share the same abilities…. they are fighting !! when they infect roots they build Something like a 3d structure…. they produce less mycellium….but as a feeder role tricho have the marvellous ability to chelate Nitrogen…. not only in soil guys !! 😲😲 we will see later why ! but in exchange, it demand carbon from the plant !! And exactly as myco we have the same virtous circle that starts to work : i feed plant with N and micro nutes...she grows and by photosynthesis produces more carbon - i grown and chelate more N.... extatic symbiosis ! 😍 trichoderma is also a fuc*** fighter. he haves the three power ! competition ! antibiosis ! and chitinase !! wich mean he can infect another fungi or even nematodes by transpiercing their shell or membrane (see pics) 😈 he's a natural born killer !! But he's not onlu a killer also an absorber… on microscopic pics vs a nematode you can clearly see the substance emits by tricho that started melting nematode's membrane….and to be totally ingered... bacteria enters the scene. before i talk about bacteria quickly...I have to tell you that I have not finished with trichoderma !! they have a super power !! 💪💪💪 when the root infection is correctly develloped tricho have the fabulous property to act like a mobile nutrient !!! A MOBILE NUTRIENT !! 🙀😍 Yeah guys !! it s incredible ! it means two things : Besides the fact that he's going to feed continuously plant in n and micro….. during the flowering stage when plant loose 95 % of her ability to feed in N... tricho do this job ! even with atmospheric N 😜 and guys not only ! the fact that it act like as a mobile nutrient give it another super power ! it can fight against atmospheric fungis like botrytis 🙏 by surinfection and antibiosis after !! WTF !!😍 OMG !! this guy should be named….TRICHULKDERMA 💪💪💪 😜 !! At this step...you should be able to understand a lot of things…. if it's not ! read again and let your brain do the synthesis 😉 because of the time that takes me to synthesizing everythi i know….i am a bit late in my grow….😓 but if i'am on the right path normally I can catch up on my delay…. And potato is a root 👍👊🙌 Here is the recipe : How to make a Custom PDA wash a 200gr potato, keep her skin, cut the potato and Cook with small ebulition into a covered saucepan 45/60 mn approx...add molasses 1/2ml and 1 tsp melted brown sugar… add 1:4 ratio with demineralized water…. then you have a Fucking good PDA to increase fungi spore production and root infection at germinating stage 👍👊 (take a look on fast and furious kush diary to see what i am talking….) to activate the Micro organisms insoil before planting and you can use this at each transplant time...or if you use fungi as a curing solution….😘 stay tuned Update - Girls are in germinating process….. shhhh 😚 dont make noises please 😘 Soon it will be important to think about a good natural organic bareer for outdoor… not only against bugs but also as a feeder role for each one…. and others to be a host for ecto-mycorrhizae wich live on the first part of the soil and need lots of roots ans a bit mulch to be correctly activated…. after a very short germination period, girls shows the first sign of life on 05/21.... i'm going to prepare a veg mix with 1 Week of activation 👍 stay tuned !!

Budofpray the two seed popped up 05/21... but two days later…. Houston !? we got a problem 😮 one of them doesn't want to take off her helmet 😓 i tried gently to remove its shell….impossible ! i Don't even know if i damaged the root in this operation….any suggestions ? ------- In the doubt…. i decided to put a new green gelato to germinate 👍 ------- 05/24 So after 3 days in a box….OUDINI succeeded in getting out 🙏🙏 What else ? I have to find something good for the new baby gelato coming 😋…. ------- 05/26 As i said in my other diary "Fast and curious kush" i improved my PDA recipe… and i did it again 👍🙌…. A beautiful mycorrhized root at start 👌 In fact like @Bulbi said in a coment there is what i call "a latency" time for the root to be infected…. wich in fact seems totally normal….. so instead of 24/32 hours to see a big root it took 50h.... but the result is here…. it's hard with my Pocket camera to clearly see what i shoot….but when i saw the pic i immediatly do the comparaison with a Cobra…. (feel free to sponsor me with a good camera growdiaries 💪😜….or someone else😉) So as i want to be a "poor" Messenger of Shiva.. I was worried about the possible shock...but she seems healthy ! and shows no signs of stress at all... on the pics you can see Oudini at 8/5 days 😜...and ShivaCobra at 2 days 1/2 🙏🙏 ----------------- On the next episode of let mother nature do the job As i said on my other diaries It is soon time to draw up a first assessment of this phase… i already talked about a factor "X" because i changed so much in my germinating approach may be i missed something…but in the same time, some results shows me i'am on a good way…. Imagine a new growth Protocol took me one year….and as i already said it was a flash that made me landed here ! a conjecture of things 👍 i talked with @randyjustice about a factor "x"....😱 this damn factor x 😌 most of the time it is hidden in détails...🙀 and in my case it s probably thrue 😜 …. at this time i think that there is a corrélation between some strain/phenos and the booster for M-O at germinating phase i created….I am far from sure...but it seems to me that what i done with M-o at start was hard….it seems that it can hurt some seeds...but maybe it could also be a first Indicator of the ability/power of the seed itself I have to improve this protocole - first : by limiting the M-O powder to the minimum...too much is too much… and may be start at first in a jiffy pré-activated….it could be a good solution 👍 we will wee in the future...anyway as i said this is the first part of my experimentation... stay tuned this afternoon for this update about the next Week that looks "super Green" 👍… ----------- 05/31 this day was fu**** hot ! change from 19 to 27 ° in the shade….in one day…. at noon I realized that the soil seems close to dry….so i decided to in fonction of the progress of each seed to do a second innoculation by litle holes around the plant and with the last part of my PDA recipe i kept in the fridge… so i mixed 1/4 - 3/4 PDA and demineralized water….and and let outside the bottle go up to ambiant temperature…. after that i put half teaspon of M-O and shake vigourously the bottle to mix oxygen Inside….and watered gently all plant….see pics…Let's see what's going to happen the next days 🙏 ------------------------------------ - 06/01 -State of emergency is declared….update + pics ---------------------------------- What a bloody hell 🙀 Shpongle was Under attack last night ! Budofpray Previously on "Let Mother Do the Job"....it was a crazy week Sphongle was attacked cowardly and at night by caterpillars wich tried to eat them alive….as a result of this attack SphongleGroot is born (see pics on the previous Week) is it an attack fomented by others growers engaged in the RQS outdoor contest ?? 😂😂 Dunno… But if she loose 4 days to scarring properly….she's back to the scene… In the same period Oudini was ejected out of his pot after my fall….i didn't think she would survive when i saw the poor litle root...but she did it 👍 She shows all good signs now of a plant wich want to grow !! good girl 💪 In the same time ShivaCobra seemed to slow down at the beginning… but thanks to Bulbi by hazard i knew why….that what i call a factor " X" in fact when i imagined a protocol to infect weed root at the first stage of germinating process I had not taken into account on this damn factor…: THE LATENCY folks…. due to infection, the growth is slow down by fungi….time to build their first hypertrophied roots… now ShivaCobra is ready to grow 👌 On the next Week, i plan to transplant S-G....all my mix is already prepared including bioChar….the amazonian black heart (see first Week if you are discovering this diary) to follow 👌

Budofpray Previously on "Let Mother Do the Job" i have to admit that last Week i was a bit worried about this diary…. successive delays that accumulate… caterpillars attacks…. weather that sucks… But now that I see the progress of his dear little….i know that all is still possible ! If what I imagined as a process is even half a good (i talk especially about biochar and soil ) normally i shoud catch up my delay… let's see if i am right on that tought 👍 to follow…. 06/16 this Week was not a great week….i was not here to prevent plants from being overwatered…. unfortunatly these G. gelato are not in an airtpot so they are going to suffer a bit more than the others cause of lack of oxygen… hope the next Week they will have better conditions 😘

Budofpray Previously on the diary "Let mother do the job"... 🎞️ Gaïa is suffering so much...the YoYo weather continues to alternate cold weather rain and sun sparingly… I can't prevent plants from being overwatered…. which will slow their growth and may cause some worries… - 06/20 - Grow outdoor became more and more difficult to my point of view….for sure its dépends where you are...but it s a bit it's frustrating to be chained and not be able to do anything but wait for improvements...what bothers me the most is the significant variation from one day to the next… 28° one day 19° the next day….it plays on my morale To make matters worse...i had to go to the hospital twice to do blood test and and I stayed one night under observation…. I've had a crazy story because of the nicotine in the glycol in e-cigarette...with candida albicans...😡 be carefull guys if you smoke nicotine product in vape….you could be affected by this strange disease 🤢 Anyway….ShpongleGroot Shivacobra and Oudini have regained some health...slowly but surely….i lost time with this bad story and surely i transplanted too late the autos from my other diaries 🙄 never mind if i go like a 🐢...😀 i decided to activate a new ABH in prevision to the flowering time….because i plan to transplant SG soon…. Shiva Cobra after the latency time of root infection begin to grow normally and Oudini seems to be a midget at this time...i also plan for them a transplant soon… - 06/22 - update + pics i'am recovering very slowly a little bit of Energy...so i decided at least to transplant ShpongleGroot … i was pleased to see for the first time a little ecto-mycoorhizae at work 😍 unfortunatly i break the 'shroom during the transplant it is so fragile...but i'am sure i gonna see others during this grow 🙏 the transplant was a bit late like my other diaries but because of the candida albicans sur-infection i was so tired i had no energy at all.….i hope for the next days a real amelioration of my body/mind i used a new PDA recipe….with a bit more of molases and melted sugar….we will see later if it works better … thx for your support….Ôm nama shivaya 🙌

Budofpray Previously on "Let Mother Mature Do the Job"... BoP didn't know it... but he had been suffering from a strange disease for several months... Ironically 🙄 it was made by a natural human fungi called candida albicans…. this fungi regulate the enzymic activité of mouth and also intestines and liver...the nicotinic e-liquide that contains glycol and sugar have disturbed their activities...it results an incredible tiredness and symptoms of burn out 😱 so BoP has no longer been able to properly manage its diaries…. But now after a lot of analyses and a short hospitalization….recovering slowly his Energy ! Let's see if he can catch up his delay….again 🧐 ------------------------- Wow fellow growers….Life is Strange sometimes….! i know why I was so obsessed bu fungis 😂😂... Anyway….as you can see on pics i was not on the good timing for transplanting….so Oudini ans ShivaCobra showed first signs of deficiency….even ShpongleGroot was a bit...in organics it is not so easy to conterbalance this….we need time and love…. i could give up O nd SC....but i dont like at all....so i decided to plant O in 4.8 galllon airpot and SC in 6,6..... for SC it will his final pot so i put batmix for flo in the last part of airpot and mixed the two others parts as you can see on pics….it time for here to recover health… For O i plan other thing dépends of the folowing weeks and his progrees or not we will see. SG appreciated a lot his 2,6 gallon….and growing slowly but surely and recovered a nice citrus green… i hope now to do myself the job correctly…..🙏 öm nama shivaya forgivemy my mystakes… ---------------------- On the next episode….you will see some funny things….stayd tuned and thx for your support 👍

Budofpray Omg !! what can i say more….it is the 2nd heatwave's Week ! even if the temps dropped a bit we still have around 30/31° each days…. SG the most indica pheno suffered the most ….she's still freezed and shows some deficiency due to his difficulties to face the temps… Oudini and ShivaCobra appreciated a lot the transplant even if they grow slowly (most for oudini) but day after day they recovering a bit… i am waiting an atami product named Silic b'cuzz….dedicated for abiotic stress….hope he will be really efficient to fight against heat… -------------- if I had a statement to draw up now i would say this grow would be a big fail on my part…. for the moment i think that my biochar wasn't properly activated...but the heatwave was so brutal that it could be also the main Reason….dunno for the moment the prevailing feeling is anger towards myself...i knew that change a lot of things in my protocl could be a big risk...but not to this point. fortunatly i modificated somethings to the soil of ShivaCobra and she seems now the best of the three….maybe also because she is a pheno looking more like a sativa…. the next 7 days will be important to see if i can expect Something good about that run….🙏

Budofpray this Week was amazing. For the first time the middle of june we had a lull with the heat wave, and during 2 days we alternated between a light rain and sun….temperatures have dropped to a nice 27/28 °C so ShpongleGroot and Shiva Cobra litterraly explodes...like all my other plants SC is a nice sativa phenotype and grow now really fast. i m a bit worried cause i tought initally let her in this 30L airpot but if she keep growing like that i could be in trouble soon. SG loved her new place. she was a bit on deficiency before the repot but now she shows a marvellous dark green and grow also fast even if it is a true indica pheno. the smell seems really interresting when you rub the branches and the three are similar but with a sour touch for SC Oudini who is the smaller and the slowest of the three keep growing nicely. it will be soon the time for a repot. unforntunatly a new heat wave is announced but this time only for few days… to follow

Budofpray Previously on this diary…. after a litle lul in the heatwave plants grow fast excepted for oudini wich stay healthy but small…..never mind i Always have small plant in case of rain in late bloom or Something…. so i can easily protect from…i deciced to transplant her in final 38l pot; with biobizz all mix and light mix 50/50 add lava rocks and fungals. SC grows really fast…..too much in a sense….initially i was thinking i can let her in the 30l airpot until the end….but as a sativa pheno i am a bit worried! as i have neighbours not far i cant 'have a too bigger plant in height….in the same time as the pot is full of roots i have to watering 2 ou 3 times per days depending of the temps….this baby drinks a lot ! i have to find a solution. SG grows normally for a real indica….incredibly bushy with large leaves, stems are very thick….even if u rub leaves you got the fragrance on your fingers….amazing !! But i am a bit worry cause no real sign of stretch or pistils…. my only photo at this time wich shows the first bud is the quick kush...it s Strange cause we are on the 12 h outdoor cycle….hope pistils will comme soon cause here sometimes in late september we can have a lot of rain…. annouced by the breeder beginning of october i hope they will go in flowering stage next Week ! ------------ thx for Following and haapy growing all 🙏

Budofpray Previously on this diary….after a litle lul in the heat wave we are now in better conditions...even if they stay a litle bit hot. i was hoping a stretch phase for the next week (this one) and flowers...caused announced by the breeders early october and 8/9 Weeks of flowering normally i shoud already see flowers… and it s not the case. as i said last week only one of my photo are on bloom… come on ladies i need your flowers ! ----------------------------- this Week alternate with some rainy mornings and Sunny afternoon….temps are still a bit hot…. but they grows a lot…. especially ShivaCobra...i am a bit afraid cause i had to let her in their 60 l airpot….she was growing too fast...so i waited the last moment when i saw some N deficiencies to put her in 40 extra L soil with the last all mix i had... and the last fungal too. for sure one day after she loved that. Oudini is the only one who grows slowly but she s the first to show some pistils sign of incoming flowers. and suddently she took 15 cm and at the end of the Week showed the first real flowers. Shiva cobra will be the second one, and Shpongle groot the last one. they are close and next Week will be the first flo Week. ------------------------------------- Keep in mind that at this time in this grow...i was just a bit in better health after my strong candida albicans infection. fortunatly i have the pics to remember a bit me what's happened. At this time a potentiel Harvest is expected around last Week of end october at best according to what say the breeder (8/9 weeks) even if they talk around early october. So i have to try to find a solution to protect SC and SG to avoid trouble if we have two much rain at this period. cause it is normally the case Np or Oudini i could easily protect her . all the three plant smelling wonderfull when your rub the branches with an extra sour fragrance for SC who is the most sativa phenotype. literraly gorgeous 😍 Other thing, i talked 4 months ago with James from RQS because the deadline for the contest to end september for photos is not logical at all, according to the outdoor condition that we can't modify. and to my point of view for a fair contest the deadline should be extended with an extra month until the last diary end.
