No any fertilizers added. Flower full power. Stretching a bit. Removed some big leaves in the middle to expose small future buds to the sun. Bend branches to have more sun for lower parts. Keep removing leaves a little as soon as they cover buds from sun

Growing flowers is such a pleasure to watch. Still no any nutrient given just pure water from it’s birth. Sun is getting stronger and hot in the midday, so I water it in the morning for 20 min instead of 15 min. Every day pinching some of the fan leaves which is covering bud’s sites.

That is a sign of over feeding, go easier on the nutes or give them water only for now.

Keeps growing and starts to smell stronger. Got another problem. Caterpillars!!! I thought they eat only leaves, but those bitches dive right into the flower. Collect 3-4 per day. Very difficult to find when they are still small. I wander if they are smokable )) when get bigger eating crystals.

Solving caterpillars problem was easy, I just collected them from the top of each cola and they are gone. Will show you the Neighbour of my GG girl. It is Critical Kush Auto. Twice smaller, but getting ready faster. Plus, there are three clones from auto which grow! I cut them at veg stage during defoliation and just put directly in the ground instead of throwing them out. I know that nobody clone autoflower strains as it it useles, it is )) they don’t get bigger, but also flowering! And all of three survived.

Smelling smelling. I start to worry that my neighbors can smell it as well )) No caterpillars anymore, but a lot of grasshoppers. They are growing up inside my bush, but don’t touch buds, only eating fan leaves. Got some pictures of their used skin, which looks like a ghost of a grasshopper. Put also some pictures of the neighboring bush of Critical Kush. And still don’t know the breeder’s name as I got these two seeds from a friend. Just know the strains as they were written on the plastic bag. Both feeling good. Thinking when to harvest the Kush, as it looks ready. Already manicure it. Ed said it is better to manicure wet to not loose crystals while manicuring dry buds.

It is more and more hot outside. Grasshoppers eating the fan leaves as they are working as my trimmers ) Cut the second bush - critical kush auto. Already dry ) less than a week laying on a piece of cardboard. Total wet weight was 660 grams , so dry it will be around 150g. Already tried smoking it ) Gorilla glue is way bigger, buds are more fat and sticky, but still need some more time to mature. All of a sudden the clone of gorilla start to grow like in veg period! And it was cut from the plant during flowering! You can see it on the picture. It throws single leaves very often, and looks totally wired. Curious to see what will happen to it later.

Grow Questions

How a clone from auto flower strain can convert into veg stage? I have one like this but don’t understand how it is happened.
Solved
Buds. Not fattening

There may be a science behind that explanation but most likely the stress it caused the clone to fluctuate from it's cycle is possible. Simply put, when autos experience any out of the norm stresses, in most cases the flowering stage is differed and or prolonged.

Every day I’m going to cut it, the bush throws some new flowers. Buds are heavy and sticky. Got some nice scissor hash while cutting leaves. Didn’t cut it till now. Want to see the reaction on complete defoliation. The magic clone which I got from this GG Auto (!) keeps growing, and starts to give triple leaves instead of single. It is still a mystery for me how a clone from auto can convert into veg stage ) Some branches of this GG looks like they are different phenotype! With different shape of a leaf and slightly different shape of buds. So the whole bush is sort of Frankenstein strain )

They are strong and creative with me but I definitely should have left the bush for couple weeks more to mature.

Only when they start to get dry I realize my mistake. I cut it too early. It was already 9 weeks of flowering, and I could leave it to grow for another couple weeks. Buds are mostly not dense and more like popcorn compared to critical kush which I cut two weeks earlier. It was incredible 940 grams wet on the scales. Looked amazing and I hurry up. Hope I got into very beginning of the harvest window. Tried one small from the bottom as it was dry enough today. Works great, the high is heavier than low critical kush buds. Very creative. Next tim i will be more patient. Also got some hope to fix my mistake as I didn’t cut the whole plant and left lower buds to mature plus got a glitched clone from this glitchy auto which is already showing preflower

Interesting grow, looks good. Reminds me of when I was in Santa Cruz in the 70's and saw someone growing plants in a tub filled with sand. They grew fast and were big.

Hi @Sunny! Many factors can lead to burnt tips, but from what I read I think it's combination of heat and underwatering. With such high temperatures, make sure your medium is always wet. Good luck until the finish line! 👊

I love outdoor growing. It's my favorite...but mother nature and pests are killer. I had some tomato worm/Caterpillar troubles and i killed em on site but also tried some bt sprays and that worked pretty good.

Looking really good, just keep an eye out for sudden changes in growth/health. "It can grow really big if it's not auto" - Yes it can: https://growdiaries.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/static/post/photo/19262/929766_african-bagseedscustomsativa-dominant-hybrids.jpg . Those plants have 60cm space around them, that was about 6 weeks ago, tallest plants >3.5m, with extreme heat at times. They all fell over over from weight recently.

Nice plant! I live in the dunes so I mixed some soil from the shop together with sand and now she’s growing in open soil. Yours are in open ground so why do you water them everyday? Can’t the riots find water deeper in the ground? I hardly ever water mine :) Your going to have a big harvest from this auto! Best of luck! 👍

@CoastGrower, I’m using dripping tubes, for the whole garden. there are two small sprinklers at this spot. Don’t really measure it by volume but know how much time is enough depending on the heat and wind

@Sunny, dont lie to me : did you pray when you planted it? if not then someone somewhere prayed for you lol #science 🚀
Sunny
Sunnycommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, there was a small branch down the bush of gorilla auto, so I cut it and put under a lemon tree beside it just for fun. I didn’t expect it would start to grow. And all of a sudden it did. I just don’t understand why all other clones didn’t. They just formed a little bud.

gorrilla glue is a bit slower than average autos, could be a good idea to mix some fertiliser with flowering ratio if you want to kick it into gear : like molasses with some PK - hope this helps ! 🚀
