Heyo, I will be growing 2x CBD Auto Cheese - hoping to move one outdoors in early June, and leave one in the tent. Update - 1 of 2 seeds has now germinated (about 72 hours) and has been planted. The other has a good size crack opening up, so hopefully I can plant it in the next day or two. Update - 2nd seed now germinated (about 96 hours) and has been planted. Both are now in the tent, under homemade greenhouses until they sprout. Update - Day 7 from germination, and looks like one plant is doing well, and the other not so much. Not sure why the difference, but hoping it can pull through.

One of my plants (#2 in the photos) seems stunted and is curling/clawing. I know that is a sign of overwatering, but it has been watered only once in 7 days - the first day it was planted (and only 100 mls of spring water). Any other ideas? Thanks!

Hi @GeorgeSmiley! This looks like a combination of heatwave and too much water/humidity. Good to see that they overcome this slight issue. Happy growing 👊

Interesting week! I suspected my soil as the cause of seedling #2's curling/clawing/stunting, so transplanted both into a ProMix organic + perlite mixture. Seedling #1 had a decent root network, while #2 had almost nothing growing. (I also have a bunch of veggies starting in the same soil, and the same curling/clawing/stunting happened with my tomato plants)... I also lowered my light to 24 inches. #1 started to pickup growth almost immediately once into the ProMix (while #2 is slowly trying to rebound). In the meantime, I began germinating another CBD AutoCheese seed which has now been planted in ProMix and into the tent. As for the problematic soil, it was 75% peatmoss which had not been treated with lime, and I think it was too acidic. Either way I will stick with the ProMix for now. Will be starting some light nutrients this week - going to go with a 5-1-1 fish emulsion.

Great week - some pretty serious growth! Fed for the first time, using a 5-1-1 fish emulsion. Mixed at half strength for the first application. She seems to have enjoyed it! I think I will stay organic and alternate between the fish emulsion and some molasses, feeding once a week. She is very thick, which I guess is a good thing? I will start some LST in the next week or two; just seems she might be too bushy for it right now. Watering about 400-500 mls every 2-3 days now. She is definitely starting to stank! Going to have to invest in or make a filter in the next few weeks... I am in the process of moving from 24 hr lights to 20/4; gradually giving them an hour less a day for 4 days. It is causing a pretty decent temperature swing, but thinking that the dark period/energy savings is more important? Any thoughts, let me know! (*also - the second AutoCheese seedling that I started a week ago (after the first one damped off) is also doing well, but has what looks like a bit of nutrient burn on the cotyledon tips...I guess even ProMix can be a bit too hot?)

Transplanted at the start of the week - her size made that pretty difficult but she seems to have held up well. ...but it looks like she is starting to flower!? At week 4!? She is too small...not sure what to do, but ride it out I guess and hope she grows enormously throughout flower. Any suggestions for how to best get some yield, or as to why she may have started to flower in week 4, or whether she is even flowering at all would be appreciated!

Good week! She is definitely into flower now, and continuing to stretch out. Fed once with molasses, and once with 5-1-1. Trying to find a bloom fish emulsion (0-10-10) around here but no luck just yet. The smell is starting to be a problem....made a DIY filter (fan+piping+activated carbon filter sheets) but it doesn't seem to be doing the job. I think I will have to invest in a pricier online option from Amazon, which is too bad. Will be sending the younger AutoCheese and one of the Strawberry Coughs outdoors this weekend - have been hardening them off during the day this week. Hopefully that will give the flowering AutoCheese some room to grow!

Good week! Buds are coming in! Hoping they will beef up. Haven't been able to find a organic bloom booster locally as of yet...hoping to find one asap. Saw what might be a touch of nutrient burn on the tips, so gave a big flush with water. Hoping she keeps trucking along!

Good week! She continues to bulk up...hoping her buds will keep getting fatter. 6 main colas and a couple of smaller ones. She appears to have loads of trichomes which is sweet. Haven't been able to find an organic bloom fertilizer, so I just fed with a bit of molasses this week.

Decent week! Didn't feed this week, but will shortly with some molasses. Hoping the buds start to bulk up! I have defoliated quite a lot in the lower levels and some of the bigger fan leaves up top...hoping it helps some light get through. She is still pretty skinny though so hope to see some weight put on over these next 3-4 weeks!

Coming along - not getting as chunky as I had hoped...and she seems to be getting pretty close to harvest despite only having 64 days under her belt... Hoping that she bulks up a bit more! There are still a decent amount of white pistils (especially on the lower branches), so it seems like I've got a week or two to go. (I've been checking out the trichomes and they seem glassy still, thought I don't really have a great way to magnify in on them). Any tips/info appreciated!

Looking for some tips on when is best to harvest! I have heard that you want primarily red pistils and mostly cloudy trichomes with a few ambers thrown in. Any recommendations and/or observations on how far along my plant might be would be appreciated!

The best psychoactive properties will come from your cloudy milky trichomes. That is when the thc will be at it's highest. The clear and amber will contain less desirable compounds. It is always a juggling act trying to get the best mix because different buds will ripen at different times. It is something you have to kinda play around with to find the effect you like. But the more cloudy you have the happier you will be. It can be tricky to see cloudy at first but the amber are easy to spot. Don't let them amber up too much. I see a few cloudy on yours and no amber so you will probably be looking a week maybe 2 til harvest. Just look at them every day and you will see the change. Good luck

Another week, and a bit more bulking! Fed with molasses once or twice. Getting close to the end here, I think. Looked at the trichomes with a jeweler's loupe (thanks for the recommendations everyone) and hard to say but they seem to be about 50/50 milky and glassy. I chopped the top part of one of the main colas, and have hung it up to dry - will likely take another cola in a few days, and then harvest everything in a week or two - just so I have a bit of a range of harvest to go off in future. Exciting times!

Final stretch! I have harvested the two biggest colas already - I wanted to give myself a range to be able to see the difference in effects. Going to be harvesting the rest in the next few days. Trichomes are looking milky with the odd amber/coloured one (although I still find it pretty tough to tell even with the 20x jeweller's loupe). Looking forward to it! Been a great time; good plant.

After a couple weeks of curing, we've now done a few test runs of smoke and it is great! Great smell (the curing has really brought it out - after harvest it was very grassy/hay smelling, and now after cure its got a nice dank/cheesy bud smell). The high is very chill and mellow - doesn't last too long. Great for those who aren't longtime smokers. Rolls and smokes great. Good dense nugs too. Definitely brings out the munchies and the urge for a comfortable chair 😁. Would recommend this strain forsure!

Had a great time growing this plant! My first real grow, and it was very enjoyable. She had some troubles early on in life with problematic soil, and I think that stunted her growth. As well, I had a photo in the tent that I wanted to flower, so I flipped to 12/12 at about 4 weeks of flower for this auto, and I think that probably hurt the yield. Anyway I am happy with nearly an ounce from a first grow Auto with a few issues thrown in! Looking forward to trying it out....and to seeing how the three different stages of harvest I took will differ (one cola at 10 weeks, two at 11, and the whole batch at 12). Dried for about 3-4 days (until stems close to being dry and snappable) and will hope to cure for between two weeks to a month. Will try a sampler soon and return with the smoke report! Happy growing!

Ya, she’s starting to flower. Those white hairs are preflowers. From the research I’ve done, (I’ve only been growing them since yesterday haha) you don’t want to transplant them. Plant them in the same pot its entire life, so make sure it’s big enough. I was told 3 gal. Their growth is stunted and their internal timer keeps going. I was told to expect preflowers after approx 30 days. Hope this helps and that someone else can corroborate this info. Good luck 👍🏻
