FIE5TA 1. Shawty r1 - when the seed shell (helmet) came off, this seedling damaged its first two sets of leaves. Because of this, they grew slightly twisted and with defects. However, as you can see, the third set of leaves is coming out quite even. I'm glad I gave it a chance, otherwise I would have lost the seed
Throughout the entire cycle, I will be using the Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco PH Perfect line + using Radifarm (Valagro) once in the veg phase.

FIE5TA 👋👋👋
We're growing and developing nicely 👋👋👋
Shawty started ramping up her metabolism, she's drinking more, and the new leaves are coming in smooth and even. I applied Radifarm to Shawty. End Game already has a solid root system. Oh, forgot to mention: the source water is RO, 5.7 pH & 10 ppm

FIE5TA Hi everyone! ✋✋✋
Yesterday topped and bent down the Punch Line. She also had a bit of salt buildup in the substrate from the drought, but I sorted that out quick. Soon I'll flip this box to flowering, and I'll have to move the shawty to the next tent on 18/6 so she can catch up to the punch line in size.
@Tokvro, Hey bro, 🙌 thanks! Compared to End Game, the Shawty R1 handled the salty runoff perfectly fine, even though growth slowed down a little. All leaves stayed healthy and intact, which is great.
My thought is that if it’s slow from the very beginning, it probably needs a slightly lower PPM in the nutrient solution. Last time I grew it in soil and it started much faster.
Shawty is really high quality genetics with huge potential. Every plant I’ve grown from this line has had that classic skunky smell a mix of garlic and basil. The line is very stable, almost no phenotype variation. The only small downside is the thick seed shell, sometimes it makes germination a bit harder
@FIE5TA, definitely agree this strains very resilient and I didn’t have too high PPM in the beginning I just feel like with all the crossbreeding done to create this strain is what’s causing slow growth. Even now the new nodes take about a week or more to develop. Just hoping that in flower it takes off. Currently since I had it in a 2x2 tent 50% of the main branching doesn’t reach half way up the canopy due to lack of light. You’ll see me update the grow in about a week or 2
@Tokvro, Got it, bro. I grew another plant of this same strain before, but in soil, and it did pretty well there side branching developed nice and fast. The strain’s definitely resilient, but something in the conditions is holding it back, we just gotta figure out what exactly. I’m running this one on coco now, and those early hiccups can totally be from the coco itself sometimes it comes a bit salty, sometimes more acidic than ideal. Also, definitely ease off the nitrogen once flowering kicks in.
As for the heavy breeding and hybrid stuff: yeah, could be a factor, but honestly most modern strains are the result of endless crossing, so you could say the same about almost anything except pure landraces :)
@FIE5TA, just posted an update if you wanna see how bad the canopy looks :/ I topped them as well to stop them from growing too fast in the tent but regardless my other plant ate all the light so it lagged back 2 weeks maybe.
