Natrona Straw Trop Cherry
Lineage: Trop Cherry × Strawberry Cadillac
Height: Medium
Flowering Time: 56–63 Days
Scent: Strawberry, orange
Both parent plants have amazing terpene profiles, so some phenos lean orange while others lean into strawberry terps, or a combination of both. These strains are bred for flavor and yield, so you can expect a tasty and rewarding grow.
Hello Friends, welcome to my new journey in learning more about growing cannabis. This time I’m growing photoperiod strains of String Seeds Strawberry Collection. I won these seeds in the Diary of the month July 2025 with my Sunset Sherbet Automatic Diary. Here is the link if you want to take a look.

I chose these seeds for the flavor profile and what may be some beautiful colors. In addition, in the back of my mind I wanted to try a full photoperiod grow. The photoperiod strains I’ve grown before have been grown outside, untrained and subject wet and rainy spring followed by over 100f heat and humidity during our summers. Some were lost to bud rot at harvest. These will be my first controlled photo period grow. My tent is AC Infinity 4x4x6.5. I will grow these under 18/6 light hours with my autos (Apricot, Godfather OG, & Blueberry) during the seedling and veg stages. These are supposed to be heavy feeders so I’ll have to keep an eye out for nutrient deficiencies.
When the autos are harvested in mid-December, the Strawberry collection will be 6 weeks old. At that time, I will determine, based on their size and temperament, when to flip to 12/12 for flower. That will be near Christmas so I may keep them in veg until the New Year. I plan on training with Hst (topping) and LST. Straw-Trop Cherry and Strawberry Cadillac of the Strawberry collection are 56–63-day flower period. Based on this, these will be close for harvest in Mid-February. Straw-Lectric Lemonade has a 9-week flower phase and ready for harvest in early March.
So, friends, wish me luck and thanks for joining me on my new adventure.

I stacked three crates to bring the seedlings closer to the light and arranged the tent gals on the perimeter so these can be directly under the humidifier. I check them daily and give them a good misting with deionized water.
11/14 Pictures and I gave a watering with some cal mag and recharge because Strawberry Cadilac showed light tips Indicating a need for nutrients. That makes me think this Strawberry line is a heavy feeder.

Straw-Trop Cherrys’ are 3.5 inches tall. They are in a 4 inch pot and already the roots are showing out of the holes in the bottom. I will have to transplant soon, I have already prepared 6 -1.5 gallon pots with Happy Frog soil and earthworm castings. I prepared the planting hole with Dynomyco.

11/24 Started fertilizer for all strawberry collection. Each of them had yellowing on the lowest leaf. I removed these on all of them. Each received 120ml.
2 drops startbooster in 2 liters.

Calmag 1.5 ml/ltr

Temp 66.7
I brought in from outside my prepared posts to transplant. I tested the soil temperature, and it was 58 degrees. Too cold to plant. I prepared the tent area by moving in shelving and stacking crates to keep them close to the light. I put the pots in the tent overnight to warm the soil and transplanted the next day. On transplanting, I poured 500 ml ph 5.84 temp 73.5 and 294 ppm into the planting hole. Once I transplanted, I poured an additional 500 ml around the planting hole.
This week the girls doubled in size.
Straw-Lectric Lemonade #1 6” #2 4”
Straw-Trop Cherry #1 4” #2 5.5”
Strawberry Cadillac #1 7” #2 6.5”
Straw-Trop Cherry #2 has a kink in her main stem. When she was germinating and popping out of the soil, she did an about face and turned herself around.

12/1 Topped, Pinned and removed 2 large center leaves

Nutrients:
Aptus Regulator .75/gal
Cal Mag 1ml/g
Grow Time 8ml/g
Plant Juice 2 TBSP/g
The Strawberry’s received 1 liter 2 times on the 11/29 ph 6.17, ppm 551 & 64 f and 12/4 Ph 6.32. ppm 565, & 63.1F
On 12/1 All the gals were topped except Strawberry Cadillac #1. She is the mutant with the main shoot coming off the side. Since she is already weird, I attempted to FIM her. This method is supposed to create multiple colas rather than control the height of the plant. They all looked fine the next day and did not show any distress. I topped them between the 4 and 5th node.
Strawberry Cadillac #1 12.5” #2 9“
Strawberry Trop Cherry #1 6” #2 6”
Straw-Lectric Lemonade #1 8” #2 8.5
All are between 18-25 inches from the light. They are on raised shelving, pushed to the far side of the tent to receive the most humidity directly under the humidifier output.
I am using up various nutrients until I trans plant to the 5 gallon fabric pots. I decided to try Real Growers Grow Dots for this grow, so when I transplant, I will stir in Grow Dots into the soil and water only and CalMag as necessary. This decision is made to remove some tedious steps. With Autos near harvest, the photos in early veg and NYCDiesel a photo in late veg, I am having to make 3 different fertilizer blends to accommodate them all.

@WhiteEdge, I hadn't heard of them before i won these seeds in a contest. This breeder breeds for flavor/terpene profiles. I am curious, do they really taste like 🍓.
I hope I dont screw them up.
