Just harvested so will update along the way of drying and curing and most definitely the smoke. 22 Jul 19 - She’s pretty much dry and starting the cure but boy oh boy, what a smoke without any real cure time. The flavor so far is very tropical and smooth and only expect it to get better with cure time. Decided to watch the movie while were smoked a little and couldn’t stop laughing then just complete and total relaxation. This stuff is perfect with friends or just chilling. I’ve got lower back issues and completely forgot about the pain! I’ve got 9 more seeds to grow and can’t wait to start the next one but will definitely wait until I’ve got cooler weather. Thinking the heat didn’t help with the foxtailing issue I had. Everything looked beautiful while trimming but once dry, there’s definitely a few buds that are pretty flaky but has no effect on flavor or potency but did with the overall dried yield, which was right about 2.5 ounces. I grow for me and my family so still happy with the yield. HIGHLY recommend FastBuds Pineapple Express!!!

Worked as advertised but towards the end I noticed I should of upped the dosage a bit but that’s on me.
Had no issues, followed the feeding chart to the T and everything worked as it should.

All I can say is this girl pretty much took care of herself. Had no real issues till the end when she started foxtailing. I did the best I could to try and lower the temps but it was hot here for a couple weeks. I had read that PE likes it a bit cooler so will definitely grow this girl again but will probably wait until winter where I can control the temps a bit easier. All in all she still provided 345 grams of pretty solid buds. A little bit of fluffy stuff but most were pretty solid.

A couple of buds look like the tops aren’t really “compacting” and are stretching. Would lowering lights help, are the buds foxtailing? Is this bad? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Hi @Luv2Grow yes this is classic foxtailing caused from high temps. as far as bag appeal goes it's not pretty but no big deal Don't lower your lights it would only make things worse. I think your probably only 10 days or so from harvest by the looks so I wouldn't worry too much if there is any way you can lower temps this would stop the fox tailing I wish you a bountiful harvest 👌

@Fast_Buds,thank you for the kind words. I’m TRYING to be detailed but get side tracked between wife, kids and pets but I can’t say enough about y’all genetics. It’s pretty much all I’m growing now, other than freebies I receive. I really want to try y’alls Smoothies so I’m gonna try and get my hands on some soon.

@DILLIGAF, thank you, after doing some research and saw lowering lights wasn’t a good idea, I actual went back and raised them higher. I had about a week or so where my temps were around 85 and couldn’t get it lower but just recently got them to sit around 78 or so. I read that there was good and bad foxtailing but this stuff is just for me and family so don’t really care about bag appeal. I do appreciate your input, helped confirm what I was thinking! Much appreciated!!

Nice grow. Your foxtailing could just be genetics. Yes heat can contribute to the issue. Since she has more sativa genetics than indica genetics exposing her to too much red spectrum lights jump starts her defense response which is to grow foxtails. Backing off on the light intensity and adding more blue and white spectrum near the end of the grow will help keep foxtailing under control. It also helps with terpene production and preservation.

@Paul7227, Preciate it bud! If you’re stateside, I just went to Home Depot and got organic compost, peat moss, perlite and vermiculite. 3 parts compost, 3 parts peat moss, 2 parts perlite and 1 part vermiculite. Nice and airy and worked like a charm.

so you water each plant a half gallon with nutes everyday?
Luv2Grow
Luv2Growcommented5 years ago
@GrowerNotAShower, negative, I typically feed nutes twice a week and plain water with cal-mag in between feedings.

Did you use RO/DI water or just plain tap water?
Luv2Grow
Luv2Growcommented5 years ago
@GreenForDays, tap water but have a filtration system that runs through the house.
