First NFT

RumcajsGrow In the photo, three-day-old clones transplanted into cubes with a 75mm edge. They are placed on a home hydroponic system to maintain compact size and easy maintenance. Running at 25% power. I'm using the NFT system as a newbie; I have experience with soil, AirPots, coco, drip irrigation, and Wilma, but I want to progress rather than follow the beaten path. I've used Atami, Plagron, and Jungle in a Box fertilizers; currently, I'm using the AN line for pH perfect. I still say I'm learning, making mistakes that sometimes really cost me 😅. Once the roots come out, I'll transplant into NFT. I would appreciate any advice and comments 🙂🏽.

RumcajsGrow Hey everyone - let's do a little writing exercise, so don't drop dead on me 😀. About a week later, the roots from the big cubes during pre-growing were, in my opinion, long enough for me to make the final selection and pick the final pieces for the system. It's a massacre, the difference in the heights of the girls is already huge; I've never dealt with this many before, and I still don't know what I'm going to do with it. Besides transplanting, I haven't touched them otherwise. Let's take a look at the grow box. I'm gardening here in an area of 1.44m2, with a 100L NFT system. Of course, I'm not an idiot, and I start the watering with 30L. The water is heated in winter with a submersible aquarium heater. The modified passive intake ensures the distribution of fresh air along one side of the tent. Normally, I wouldn't worry about it, but the huge hydro tank was blocking fresh air from getting into the tent, so I went shopping for ventilation and made this contraption (in the photo on the right). As we go up in the tent, we encounter the oscillating fan Secret Jardin Monkey fan, then on the right side is the sensor set that moves depending on the light. Above them is the outlet for the humidifier AC T7, followed by Zeus 6 kilos. At the ceiling, there's a fan for circulating warm air (yes, you heard right, a second fan for circulation - every predator watches its prey, and when you look long enough, you'll find out which of the 16 prey in the enclosure is the slowest (the leaves aren't moving in the draft) and give it a blow from above - plus it helps to disperse warm air :) ) and right at the top is a set from Secret Jardin with a filter and extraction of 350m3/hour. Next time we'll discuss automation; today would be too much already. But let's get back to what happened today. The girls after the selection with big roots went into the final hydroponic system. Watering with pH 6.00, EC 0.91, and temperature 17.8C. Humidity is permanently 63-66%, temperatures 17/24C. Height increase of the girls by 9cm. Light set to 25%. Nutrients AN (0.9ml/l), Woodoo (0.5ml/l), vitamax (0.9ml/l), Calmag (0.4ml/l). I usually started giving it from week 3-4, but I was watching CannaPokec and this guy is throwing it in from the start - inspiration bro, thanks a lot - so I changed my life plans and it's been in there from the beginning too. Every day/every other day I spray it with either Canna Cure or Clonex mist, just whatever is at hand. Mycorrhiza is not used in the hydroponic system, so I'm skipping that. The girls have moved along quite well, and in this system, I'll be measuring how the EC level has changed in a week, as well as how much water the girls have absorbed. Since I'm running NFT as a newbie, I've set the pump cycling + placed the cubes 1cm above the nutrient film + placed two huge air stones in the tank. From my previous attempt, I found out that you can overwater even in hydro, and it can be a real mess, turning those beautiful white roots into total crap. Or to be more precise, in hydro, if there are signs of overwatering, the problem is a lack of oxygen. For now, peace out and let it grow 🖖🏼

RumcajsGrow Hey everyone, we have the continuation of Rumcy's story here. We're on the eighth day of growth in the big tent, and the girls are 26cm tall. In the top right corner of the second photo are the girls that are lagging behind. So I'm taking individual shots now. I don't know, let's take a look at it together. The pH is 5.9-6.1, the leaves are drooping and yellowing. Basically, they haven't moved at all compared to the others. It's a shame I can't check the roots; I could really use an endoscope 😁. I think it has to do with the roots, either they haven't reached the nutrient film (that's the thin layer of solution) or they just didn't take when transplanting; the conditions are the same, and they are clones 😊. Those are also the only four that I didn't top. All the others I topped, and if I didn't put Edit in the middle here, they managed it. I ended up topping because I want them to fill out faster - but hopefully, I didn't do it too early. From what I saw in the diaries with Bazuka, pretty much everyone was topping. Besides topping, I haven't touched them; even those, as you say, crippled floors didn't go down 😁. Although now that I look at it, maybe they should have gone down. The light output has gradually increased, in the photos it's at 50%, and if nothing went wrong, it's already at 75%. Light height is 60cm. Day temperature is 24, night is 17.5. Humidity is 65%, watering temperature is 17.5, its EC is 1.39, and pH is 5.9-6.1. Over the past week, the girls consumed 12 liters of water. Fertilizers according to you 😁, so I have someone to complain to. Damn, I like experimenting, and that's what it's all about. I can't keep up with automation, maybe next time.
