PurpleHazeSoldiers Day 67, It looks like one lady is maturing faster than the other. I will start keeping an eye on the trichomes soon because I do not like waiting till amber, I prefer to harvest early. I might make live rosin from the one maturing faster and buds from the other, but when they are ready at the same time I will cure them both because I still got weed for another year 😋

PurpleHazeSoldiers Day 75 and I just did check the trichomes with a microscope. There is a huge difference between the 2 plants. The first picture is from the girl that did mature a lot faster and she got some amber already but the less mature plant is still only clear trichomes. I have to say that I am not very happy with the different phenotypes because I only got 1 space to dry so I am kinda forced into making live rosin from the more mature plant and will dry and cure the other plant.

PurpleHazeSoldiers Today I did harvest 1 from the 2 plants because it was maturing a lot fater than the other. I did harvest this one to make bubble hash from it and to press live rosin in small batches after. I did cut all leaves and stems off so everything without trichomes is cut off and I did cut the buds in the size of my thumb and put everything in the freezer. The yield is ok because I do only use a small closet with 50x40 centimeter grow surface for 2 plants (this is why I use mainlining) with a 100 watts LED. So about 300 grams wet would make roughly 60 grams dry buds. The other plant is a lot bigger because I did top it one more time (this is probably why this one takes longer to finish) so it has the double amount in buds. I think that the end result will be around 1,5 grams per watt for this run so 150 grams (dry buds) in total but I will update the other harvest in 2 weeks from now. I will make bubble hash this weekend, let it dry after and store it in the freezer and press live rosin in small batches so that the terpenes stay preserved as much as possible. I will also update the amount of bubble hash this weekend. This is usually about 5% from fresh frozen material and I always wash 2 times only for quality above quantity. So I do aim for 15 grams bubble hash and I can press 5 times 3 grams into live rosin (if I did not smoke the bubble hash already 🤣).

PurpleHazeSoldiers This girl is smelling so so good!!! This past week I did feed her only half the portion from what I was giving her during flowering and I did feed her for the last time today. She is almost ready and I will flush her after this weekend and cut her the next weekend! 😋

PurpleHazeSoldiers Yesterday I did make bubble hash from the plant that finished first. I think that it is about 15 grams but we will see after this week because I let it airdry inside a cool and dark closet for a week before I store it in 3 grams batches in glass jars inside the freezer. From these batches I press live rosin when I am about to finish the current stash. After pressing live rosin I always let it cold cure for 2 weeks before dabbing it to maximize flavor. I might make some solventless distillate from 3 grams to make some edibles. My friend showed me how easy this actually is. You just use live rosin and press it for 30 minutes with low temperature and pressure with 15 micron bags. You will have a lot of oil, fat and contaminations on the paper and you have to throw this away. After you press another time for 30 minutes but this time with higher pressure and temperature. You throw the oily stuff away again and what you have left inside the press bag is for amateur setup at home the purest product you can get. It is an almost entire white brick that contains almost only thc. This is perfect to make edibles because it doesn't taste and when you know that with decarbing you lose roughly 15% mass because this will become Co2 gass then it is really easy to calculate how much milligrams of thc will be in the final product. These days I like to make sweet and sour gummy's to hide the live rosin flavour a bit (not everyone is crazy about the flavor but I am tho 😉) but this is not necessary with the distillate. The yield that we got with his method was about 65% from the live rosin so 3 grams live rosin will make 2 grams solventless distillate and that is 2000 milligrams. You lose 15% with decarbing so that is 1700 milligrams and I like to make 25 milligrams edibles so that are almost 70 edibles 😋
