Cherry Zoap (II)

TerpToad I had to leave early for the christmas holidays and had to give the super tiny seedlings into the hands of the AutoPot and hope for the best. While the Mint Jelly didnt survive and the Kritikal Bilbo stayed rather small, this Cherry Zoap exploded with growth and looks super healthy! Since I missed all opportunities for training so far I decided not to train at all and let her do her thing :)

TerpToad There is a good chance that the cherry zoap is already in her first week of flower, which is hard to tell beforehand with autos. Her growth is vigorous, and since I dont train her there isnt much to report on right now :)

TerpToad And off to flower she goes! I defoliated her a little bit and her sidebranches shot up to the top of her canopy. By the looks of it she will have 8-10 satellite branches beside her maincola. I added 40 grams of BioBloom to the soil (2 grams per liter of pot volume) and watered it in with some additional BioEnhancer

TerpToad Here come the buds :) Cherry Zoap is continuing to show great growth and she takes advantage of the space she got in the tent. Her sidebranches are growing vigorous and there are plenty of budsites. When I handle this plant, there is a inviting, fresh and sour citrus smell.

TerpToad This Cherry Zoap is now fully in flower! I topwatered some BioEnhancer and turned of the AutoPot to not overwater - which she didnt like at all. I turned it back on two days later, but she ist still showing some sad leaves. I am sure she will recover quickly :) Since the stretch stopped, I lollipopped the lower half of the plant. In a couple of days I will check the canopy to See if she needs additional defoliation. Every time I touch this plant, my growroom is filled by a wonderfull smell. The aroma is mainly citrus, but very complex and with some tartness, which makes me think of grapefruits. Delicious!

TerpToad Progress is made, buds will start bulking up soon. Nothing else to report :)

TerpToad We are slowly nearing the end, but the Cherry Zoap didnt get the memo and is telling me that she is hungry! Since she looks like she is ready for harvest in about two weeks, I wont give her any nutrients. Its somewhat early for her to starve, but I am sure the buds will turn out fine, even tho the plant may become pretty ugly in the end. I am happy with bud developement and the tart citrus aroma she smells of.

TerpToad One foot in the grave, but still working on them buds! Some of the flowers are turning into nice chunky tops.

TerpToad Close to the finish line! She is getting less water now and I am waiting for the trichomes to ripen up. Most of them are cloudy by now, so she could be harvested any time if I had to. There are beautiful red and purple hues developing and she is a pleasure to watch, I have to take a stop every time I pass the tent.

TerpToad Cherry Zoap was chopped on day 1 of week 12. harvest update soon!

TerpToad She yielded an impressive 72 gram of trimmen buds without any training! My second try with this strain showed how much of a performer Cherry Zoap can be. Nice chunky buds, good stress resistence and a great growth structure make this an easy growing recommendation.
