DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Cosmic Noodles — Week 2 VEG Two plants, two paths, same environment We’re officially moving into Week 2 of veg, and this is one of those interesting cases where we’re already seeing two very different expressions of the same strain. Both plants share the exact same environment, nutrients, PPFD, and recipe used across all the diaries in this run. The only real difference between them is how they got here. ⸻ 🌱 Plant B — 15 days of veg before 12/12 This one deserves a deeper explanation. Over the last week, Plant B exploded with growth — so much that I decided to start very soft, controlled low-stress training (LST). What I’m doing • Using simple wires • Gently pulling the main stem to the side • Moving leaves, not cutting them • Opening the canopy to expose new growth points No topping. No hard bending. No damage. Just guidance. Why I’m doing this By bending the main stem and repositioning leaves, we: • Reduce apical dominance • Allow light to reach lower nodes • Encourage side branches to activate and stretch • Create a wider, more even structure early Right now, we’re around node 6–8, and the lower branches are already 3–4 cm long — just from leaf positioning and gentle bending alone. That’s a strong response. Important context This is an autoflower, now running 12/12, not a traditional autoflower light schedule. Because of that: • Recovery time is limited • Stress must be minimal • Every action needs to be intentional This is why the training is soft, progressive, and constant, not aggressive. The goal is to bring out her potential, not slow her down. So far, she’s responding beautifully: • Happy leaves • Strong color • No signs of stress • Continuous growth I’m extremely curious to see how this structure develops over the coming weeks. ⸻ 🌱 Plant A — 12/12 from seed The sister tells a completely different story — and exactly the one we expected. Plant A: • Much smaller • On her third pair of true leaves • Tight internodes • Beautiful, healthy color • Growing straight toward the light At this stage, I’m not touching her. No training. No bending. No intervention. For the first weeks, I want her to: • Express her natural structure • Build roots • Show how she handles 12/12 from seed on her own I may train her later — or not at all. For now, observation comes first. ⸻ 🔍 Why they are so different Same genetics. Same feed. Same light. Same environment. The difference is time in veg before flowering pressure. Plant B had time to: • Establish structure • Build momentum • Respond positively to training Plant A is still: • Root-focused • Compact • Prioritizing survival and balance Both paths are valid — and documenting both is exactly why this grow exists. ⸻ 📊 Environment, light & feeding • PPFD, EC/TDS, nutrients: same recipe as all diaries in this run • Consistency is key — changes come from technique, not inputs • Full details remain shared across all reports for transparency Camera note: All photo reports are now done using Sony A6700 with dedicated lenses. DogDoctorOfficial 🌌 Folder #2 — Cosmic Noodles Week 3 Update — Technique, Response, Momentum First of all — thank you to everyone following this diary. This space exists to document real-time learning, real decisions, and real plant responses — and this week gave us a lot of material. Cosmic Noodles continues to impress. ⸻ 🌱 Plant B — 2 Weeks Veg → Guided Expansion still an autoflower This plant is moving fast, confidently, and with intention. Her growth this week was so strong that I made the decision to begin structured low-stress training, not to restrict her, but to open her up. 🔧 Training Method (Accurately Explained) This was a progressive process, not a single action: 1️⃣ Leaf Tucking (Start of the Week) • Larger fan leaves gently tucked under • Objective: • expose inner growth • encourage branch development • allow light to reach lower nodes This alone already triggered visible response. ⸻ 2️⃣ Directional Bending (Mid-Week) As growth accelerated, I moved from leaf work to branch positioning. • Branches were gently pulled outward • Secured using soft, green-coated wire • Wire anchored directly into the soil and pot edge • No rigid clips, no plastic clamps The wire is: • flexible • forgiving • adjustable allowing the plant to move while still being guided. ⸻ 3️⃣ Anchoring & Holding Space (End of Week) As branches continued to push hard, I introduced U-shaped wire anchors, pinched into the soil. Important clarification: • These are wired anchors, not plastic clamps • They hold branches down toward the soil • Purpose: keep the canopy open and horizontal • Result: light penetration everywhere This is not about forcing shape — it’s about creating room for expression. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Response Her reaction has been nothing short of outstanding. • Branches: Already pushing into the 6th–7th branch • Stress response: None observed • Vigor: Extremely high • Growth speed: Fast, confident, continuous She didn’t slow down. She leaned into it. This plant is healthy, driven, and clearly enjoying the guidance. Next week is going to be something special. ⸻ 🌱 Plant A — 12/12 From Seed (Autoflower) Running alongside her is Plant A, grown 12/12 from seed, and she continues to behave beautifully. • Leaf stage: • Third pair fully developed • Fourth pair coming in • Structure: Compact, balanced, composed • Behavior: Calm, steady, almost photoperiod-like Once again, it raises the question: Are these autoflowers acting like photoperiods? Or are photoperiods acting like autos? No answers yet — just fascination and respect. ⸻ 💡 Light Intensity & PPFD Response This week, PPFD was increased, continuing the controlled progression already established in the room. Key observations: • Autoflowers are responding exceptionally well • Leaf posture remains strong • Color remains healthy • No stress indicators present This reinforces that progressive PPFD increases, when done patiently, can be extremely effective — even with autoflowers. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (and What Not To) Expect: • Rapid structural development on Plant B • Even canopy formation as wire training settles • Continued confident growth across both timelines Do NOT expect: • Forced conclusions • Rushed flowering assumptions • Heavy-handed intervention We observe. Week 4 Context (12/12 Cycle) • Plants are now well established structurally. • Stretch is active but controlled. • Environment remains stable and unchanged, which is clearly paying off. ⸻ 2. Training Progression (End of Week 3 → Week 4) End of Last Week • Introduced gentle lateral bending using light wire. • Goal: break apical dominance early without inducing stress. • Response: immediate redirection of growth, no negative reactions observed. This Week (Week 4) • Introduced metal clamps to reinforce and stabilize bends. • Purpose: • Hold branches closer to horizontal / toward the floor • Encourage more even stretch and node activation • Maintain structure without repeated manual adjustment • Training intensity remains controlled and intentional, not aggressive. 👉 Important note for education: This is guidance, not force. Plants are being shown where to grow, not pushed. ⸻ 3. Plant Response & Vigor • Overall health: Exceptional • Lush green coloration • Fast growth rate • No stress markers (no clawing, no discoloration, no leaf deformation) • Training response: • Trained plants are accelerating growth and showing earlier developmental cues. • Untrained / lightly trained plants remain relaxed and expressive. • Leaf management: • Only gentle leaf tucking • No defoliation at this stage • Inner node spacing remains excellent, so intervention is unnecessary. ⸻ 4. Pre-Flower Observations (Very Important) • The plant grown in the plastic recipient pot, which experienced: • A different early light behavior • Slight vegetative overlap • More active training ➡️ Is showing early pre-flower signs. This is not surprising and is actually educationally valuable: • Training + structural stress (positive stress) often accelerates maturity signals. • Slight differences in early light exposure can shift hormonal timing. Meanwhile: • 12/12 from seed plants • Still in a clean transitional phase • No visible pre-flower yet • Strong branching (notably under ~6 nodes with good lateral expression) • Internodal spacing is ideal • Development is uniform and calm This staggered response is normal and healthy, not a concern. ⸻ 5. Nutrition & Environment (Week 4) • Nutrition: • Same recipe • Same measurements • No changes introduced • Plants are responding beautifully, so stability is prioritized. • Flower nutrition: • Not yet introduced. • Decision point clearly defined: • Full transition only once the entire room enters pre-flower / flower. • If a few plants advance earlier, a localized, light flower feed patch may be applied — cautiously and intentionally. This shows discipline, which is what separates dialed grows from reactive ones. • Room temperatures: • Stable • Supporting vigorous metabolism without stress • No signs of heat or cold response in leaf posture ⸻ 6. Grower Philosophy (This Week’s Key Message) “Everything is the same because everything is working.” This is one of the strongest educational points you can make: • No chasing symptoms • No premature feeding changes • Letting genetics + environment express naturally ⸻ 7. DogDoctorOfficial Cosmic Noodles — Week 5 from Seed Transition Week · Pre-Flower Expression · Two Approaches, One Room Hello everyone, and welcome to a big Week 5 update 🌱 This one is photo-heavy and detail-heavy, so thank you for bearing with us, there’s a lot happening, and we wanted to document it properly. This week marks what we consider a transition / pre-flower week, where hormonal shifts are clearly visible, structure is defining itself, and flowering intent is becoming obvious, especially on one of the plants. ⸻ 🌱 Quick recap for anyone just joining • Two autoflowers, same genetics, same room, same environment • Different early light histories: • One plant received an initial ~15 days under 18/6, then switched to 12/12 • One plant has been 12/12 from seed • Both are now growing side by side under 12/12 • No topping, no cutting, no high-stress training → Only low-stress techniques This run intentionally goes against many traditional autoflower “rules”, and that’s part of the learning process. ⸻ 🌿 Two Low-Stress Training Approaches (No Cuts, No Stress) 🔧 Plant with initial 18/6 period — Clamp-based LST This plant is responding extremely well to structural opening using metal clamps. • Clamps were used early to open the structure horizontally • Most clamps are now hidden under leaf mass, which is exactly what we want • Branching is strong, symmetrical, and well distributed • The plant currently looks like a round, open bush / ball • Internodes are stacking nicely, with great airflow She is not very tall yet, but that’s intentional — she has been pushed outward first. Now that structure is set, we expect vertical growth to accelerate. By the end of the week, she is clearly more advanced in pre-flower, with visible pistils and early flower formation. ⚠️ Important reminder: This plant also has ~15 days more life than her sister, which absolutely plays a role in developmental timing. ⸻ 🍃 Plant 12/12 from seed — Leaf bending & gentle tucking The second plant is trained exclusively through: • Leaf bending • Leaf tucking • Gentle redirection No clamps, no anchors — just guiding light access. She is: • Much taller (around ~30 cm by eye) • Roughly double the size vertically • Growing very fast, with all branches reaching upward • Open, dynamic, and beautifully balanced Her architecture suggests: • A strong root system still building • Rapid vertical expression • A plant preparing itself confidently for flowering She is slightly behind in visible flower development, which is expected given her age, but she is clearly transitioning. ⸻ 🌸 Flower Development & Pistils (White Hairs) On the plant that had the initial 18/6 period, we are seeing many pistils already. These white hairs: • Are the female reproductive organs • Indicate readiness to receive pollen (even though none will) • Signal the onset of flowering The 12/12-from-seed plant will show the same soon — just slightly later, which aligns perfectly with: • Her age • Her different early light history Nothing abnormal here — just biology doing biology. ⸻ 🌿 Leaves, Color & Genetics Both plants are showing: • Deep, lush green • Beautiful leaf texture and definition • No signs of deficiency or stress This is likely a combination of: • Strong genetics • Balanced nutrition • Correct environment • Gentle handling It’s honestly a privilege to watch them grow like this. ⸻ 💧 Watering, Nutrition & Why CalMag Comes In Now Hand-watered plants (the two we’re discussing): • Water: rainwater + dehumidifier-collected water • Very low mineral content → requires supplementation • This week we introduced CalMag Pro at 1 ml/L Why now? • Rapid growth + pre-flower = higher demand for Ca & Mg • Prevents: • Leaf issues • Structural weakness • Uptake problems later in flower Current hand-watering parameters: • pH: 5.9 • EC: 1.43 • Nutrition increased because plants are asking for it ⸻ Autopots (other plants in the room): • Mineral-only approach • Organics don’t work well in autopots • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.1 Different systems → different recipes → same goal: healthy plants. Photos show measurements clearly for transparency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Check (Winter Reality) Outside conditions: • 4–5°C • 90–95% humidity Inside: • Temps dropped slightly but remain stable • Day RH ~58% with lights on • Nothing concerning yet That said: • Winter is humid • Conditions may shift • We are watching closely and will adapt as needed For now: all good. ⸻ ☀️ Light & PPFD PPFD is adjusted per plant size, not uniformly: • Ranges roughly 700–850 PPFD • Plants are praying constantly • Clear sign they love the spectrum and intensity Again: light is tailored, not brute-forced. ⸻ 🌱 Daily Handling & Plant Care • Hand-watered plants are taken out individually • Weight is checked • Plants are observed closely • Positions are adjusted so no one feels crowded The room is becoming a mini jungle, and that’s exactly the intention 🌿 ⸻ Fungus Gnats — Honest & Controlled Yes, we have some fungus gnats. • Yellow sticky traps are in place • Watering is controlled • Dry-downs are respected Personally, I see them as: • A manageable part of organic systems • A reminder to stay balanced • Possibly even a mild defense trigger (personal philosophy, not science) They are under control, and roots are healthy. ⸻ New Team Member: Mr. Baggy This week also marks the first appearance of Mr. Baggy — our fluffy blue buddy won in a Grow Diaries contest 🏆 He’s officially part of the crew now, and you’ll be seeing more of him around. ⸻ 🌱 Final Thoughts & Encouragement These two autoflowers are growing beautifully, despite: • Non-traditional light schedules • Different early paths • Ignoring much of the usual “bro-science” This run is a reminder that: • Cannabis does not behave linearly • Each garden is its own ecosystem • Trying, failing, observing, and learning is how knowledge is built I strongly encourage everyone to: • Test things yourself • Think independently • Respect the plant more than the rules Nature often surprises us. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect next • Continued stretch on both plants • Clear flowering progression on both • Structural payoff from current training • Ongoing environmental adjustments as winter continues Thank you all for following along, for your patience with this big update, and for the love and support. DogDoctorOfficial Grow Report — Week 6 From Seed (12/12 From Seed · Early Flower / Week 2 Flowering Transition) Quick Recap (for new joiners) This is a 12/12-from-seed run, now entering Week 6 from seed, which we can comfortably call early flower / second week of flowering transition — though we don’t obsess over labels. We follow the plants, not the calendar. Two plants, two approaches: • Plant A: Metal clips + harder structural training, with a short 18/6 period earlier on, plus LST • Plant B: Pure 12/12 from seed, gentle LST and leaf positioning only Both plants are now fully in flower mode, no doubt about it, just expressing it differently, which is expected and welcomed. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day temperature: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% Even though it’s still a bit cold outside, increasing plant mass, higher lighting intensity, and added under-canopy lighting have turned the tent itself into a stronger and more stable heat source. This allowed us to stabilize conditions naturally, without forcing anything — exactly how we like it. Lighting & Atmosphere • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on plant size and position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm Airflow • Unchanged and dialed in • Vortex extraction • Cross-winds with multiple fans • Constant, gentle movement across the canopy The goal remains the same: fresh air, no stress, no stagnation. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks an important and intentional nutritional transition. • EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 From this point forward, all feedings will be pH 6.0 and above. Why? As flowering progresses, nutrient uptake priorities shift. A slightly higher pH improves the availability of key elements needed for bloom development, and the plants are clearly asking for it. Nutrient Change • Introduced: Terra Bloom — 5 ml/L • Removed: Terra Grow This switch is happening now, not earlier, because the plants have clearly entered the flowering transition. No rush, no shock — just listening to plant signals and responding accordingly. The current Plagron-based approach continues to perform exceptionally well, and plant response has been outstanding so far. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Behavior & Training Notes Both girls are looking amazing, each in their own way. • The metal-clip + harder-trained plant looks structured, composed, and confident • The pure LST plant is expressive, vigorous, and stretching beautifully The plant that experienced a short 18/6 period is currently smaller, noticeably so — which is interesting and worth observing. Not better, not worse — just different. Different light histories, different training styles, different expressions. This is exactly why side-by-side approaches are so valuable. Both plants are: • Healthy • Actively flowering • Responding positively to the environment and nutrition Plant A — Canopy Management Note This was also the week where a light, selective defoliation was performed on Plant A to open the canopy slightly and improve light penetration. She is clearly more advanced in flower development, visually closer to what would normally be considered around day 21 of flowering, and the timing felt right. Only larger, blocking leaves were removed — no stripping, no stress — just enough to: • Improve airflow • Expose developing flower sites • Support her more advanced flowering pace The plant responded calmly and confidently, confirming that the intervention was well-timed and appropriate. They’ve also been in and out of the studio for photos — and they handled it like champions.
