DogDoctorOfficial 🔥 SOUR DIESEL — The Ascension of a Legend Germination Report — Special Edition 8×8 Last 2025 Run ⸻ PART I — THE BIRTH OF A LEGEND 1. Origins in the Shadows of the East Coast Long before dispensaries, strain catalogs, and global cannabis culture, there was a raw, underground era — a time when growers traded cuts like sacred treasures and seeds traveled through word of mouth. From that world, deep within the 1990s New York and East Coast scene, Sour Diesel was born. Her creation wasn’t planned. It wasn’t designed. It was destiny — forged by accident, survival, and raw genetic power. ⸻ 2. The Accidental Ancestry The story goes like this: A ChemDog ’91–dominant hybrid hermaphrodited during a run, releasing stray pollen that landed on a nearby Super Skunk / Northern Lights female. From those seeds emerged something no one expected: • The fuel-soaked punch of Chem • The acidic sour electricity of Super Skunk • The foundation strength of Northern Lights A grower sprouted them… and one plant rose above everything — the now-mythic Diesel. Her aroma was so fierce, so unmistakably sour, that she earned her name within minutes of her first cure. ⸻ 3. Rise to Mythic Status Sour Diesel spread through New York like fire: • A cerebral rush unlike anything else • A terp profile that floods a room instantly • A clone-only legend for most of her early life By the early 2000s, she wasn’t just a strain — she was the identity of the East Coast cannabis movement. People crossed states for a cut. Growers protected her genetics like heirlooms. Smokers remembered their first hit for years. To this day, Sour Diesel is spoken of with the reverence reserved for royalty. And this diary will follow one seed — a direct descendant of that legacy. ⸻ PART II — THE OFFICIAL GERMINATION REPORT (Special Edition ) 1. Overview & Intent Unlike the other folders in the 8×8 run, this Sour Diesel will not follow the 12/12-from-seed protocol. A legend deserves tradition: • Light Cycle: 18/6 • Future Veg Duration: 2–3 weeks • Purpose: Highlight natural Diesel vigor, structure, and expression This report focuses on one selected seed, chosen from a germinated batch specifically for this diary. This plant will be the face of the Sour Diesel lineage for the entire run. ⸻ 2. Seeds Started & The Chosen Phenotype • Multiple seeds were germinated • One seed displayed unmistakable Diesel traits from the beginning: • Fast, aggressive taproot • Superior symmetry • Confident seedling posture • Sharp leaf morphology She has been chosen as the singular protagonist of The Ascension of a Legend. ⸻ 3. Environmental Conditions All conditions match the main room’s baseline: • Light: 18 hours light / 6 hours dark • Temperature: Stable, optimal range • Humidity: Supportive, with micro-condensation forming naturally • Medium: Identical substrate and workflow used across the project for consistency She will meet the rest of the cohort in approximately two weeks. ⸻ 4. Germination Performance The chosen seedling performed flawlessly: • Immediate germination • Strong, straight taproot penetration • Rapid cotyledon lift and expansion • Zero deformities or hesitation From the very first hour, she behaves like a plant that knows she carries history. ⸻ 5. Macro Photography Observations Macro imaging reveals the intimate details of her early development: • Micro-droplets on serrations resemble liquid diamonds under magnification • Leaf texture already shows thin sativa structure, a Diesel signature • Early cell development is visibly active • Light refraction on hydrated surfaces creates that signature “Diesel sparkle” These photographs elevate the documentation into an art form — the micro-world of a macro legend. ⸻ 6. Early Vegetative Behavior (18/6) Under classic veg lighting, she displays: • Ambitious vertical intent • Rapid leaf development • Strong metabolic rhythm • Balanced early node spacing She is clearly preparing for the explosive growth Sour Diesel is known for. ⸻ 7. The Road Ahead Over the next weeks: • She will continue veg under 18/6 • Macro photography will capture her transformation • At Week 1 Veg, I will prepare a special report titled: 🔥 “Sour Diesel — Rise of the Prime Phenotype” • She will later join the 12/12 cohort, standing out as the seasoned champion of the room FOR DISCOUNT CODES AND MORE JUST FOLLOW THE LINK https://website.beacons.ai/dogdoctorofficial 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. DogDoctorOfficial 📁 Folder #10 — Diesel VEG Week 1 Report | 18/6 (Pre-Flip Phase) This Diesel is not isolated forever in VEG — she is leading the room. She is one of the girls that started earlier on 18/6, and by the time the rest of the plants join the tent, she will already have ~3 weeks of vegetative growth. At that point, the entire room will flip together to 12/12. So the difference here is timing, not separation. ⸻ 🌱 Genetics & Legacy Diesel is a legendary strain, deeply embedded in grow history. Known for strength, structure, and personality, this plant carries that reputation naturally. This folder exists to document how Diesel behaves when given a head start in VEG, while still respecting a unified flip for the entire room. ⸻ 🌿 Growth Status — Week 1 Week one is exactly where it should be: • Healthy leaf emergence • Strong early structure • Leaves opening confidently • No signs of stress or imbalance She is responding beautifully to the environment and clearly enjoying the extra vegetative time. ⸻ ⚙️ Environment & Conditions (Same as the Room) Nothing else changes — consistency is key: • Light Cycle: 18/6 (pre-flip VEG) • Humidity: ~75% • Temperature: ~28°C • pH: ~6.0 • EC / TDS: ~1.0 ⸻ Feeding & Additives Following the standard recipe used across the run: • Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Vita Race Same nutrition, same philosophy. ⸻ 🔄 Timeline & Plan • Diesel begins earlier on 18/6 • She accumulates ~3 weeks of VEG • The rest of the plants join the room • Entire room flips together to 12/12 This ensures: • Unified flowering timing • Controlled comparison • No disruption to room balance ⸻ 🙏 Closing Notes Week one confirms that Diesel thrives with intention and patience. She’s setting the tone for the room, not separating from it. Big thanks to everyone following the journey and supporting the documentation. Next week, we continue observing structure and momentum before the full-room flip. DogDoctorOfficial 📁 Folder #10 — Sour Diesel Week 2 Veg | 18/6 Light Cycle This Sour Diesel is moving exactly as she should — slowly, steadily, and with confidence. No rush, no stress, just healthy foundational growth. She is currently in early vegetative development, working through her 3rd to 4th pair of true leaves, with compact internodal spacing and well-formed foliage. Structure is clean, leaves are vibrant, and overall posture tells me she’s comfortable in her environment. This plant is not meant to be pushed — she’s meant to be understood. ⸻ 🌱 Plant Status • Stage: Week 2 Vegetative Growth • Light Cycle: 18/6 • Height: ~10 cm • Leaf Development: 3rd → 4th pair forming • Growth Pace: Slow and steady (as expected) She’s building roots and structure first — exactly what we want at this stage. ⸻ 💡 Lighting & Environment • PPFD: ~400 µmol/m²/s • Distance to Light: ~1.75–1.80 m • Why this PPFD: At this stage, the goal is root development and node stacking, not vertical stretch. Lower PPFD encourages calm, efficient photosynthesis without stress or unnecessary elongation. 🌡️ Temperature & Humidity • Day: ~28°C • Night: ~18°C • Relative Humidity: ~75% This VPD range keeps transpiration active while allowing roots to work efficiently. ⸻ 💧 Irrigation & Substrate • Water Uptake: ~0.3 L per 24h • Solution pH: 6.0 • EC: 1.0 • Solution Temp: ~21°C • Substrate Temp: ~22°C Watering is steady and predictable — a very good sign at this stage. ⸻ Nutrition Program (and WHY) All inputs are chosen for root health, microbial activity, and long-term vigor, not speed. Root & Growth Support • Plagron Terra Grow — 2.5 ml/L Primary vegetative base nutrient, providing balanced NPK for controlled leaf and stem development. • Power Roots — 1 ml/L Stimulates root mass, lateral branching, and early nutrient uptake efficiency. • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L Breaks down dead organic material, improves substrate oxygenation, and keeps the root zone clean and active. • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L Early metabolic support, helping enzyme activity and setting the stage for later terpene expression. 🌿 Foliar Application • Vita Race — 2.5 ml/L (foliar spray) Applied generously — real showers, not misting. This boosts chlorophyll production, trace element uptake, and overall leaf vitality during early veg. ⸻ 🧠 Expectations (and what NOT to expect) What to expect: • Compact structure • Strong leaf posture • Slow but healthy node development • Root-driven growth What NOT to expect (and that’s okay): • Explosive vertical growth • Stretch • Large water consumption • High PPFD tolerance (yet) This phase is about foundation, not performance. ⸻ 🌬️ Final Thoughts — The Legend Herself Sour Diesel is not a strain you rush. She rewards patience, consistency, and restraint. Everything about this week confirms that she is: • Comfortable • Stable • Responding correctly No adjustments needed. No pressure applied. We let her do what legends do — build quietly before they speak loudly. On to Week 3. DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Sour Diesel — Catch-Up Report (Weeks 2.5 → 4 | 12/12 Transition) First — a quick word to everyone following the diary We want to start this update by apologizing for doing a two-and-a-half week report in one go. This is not a change in transparency or process — it’s simply to bring Sour Diesel back in sync with the rest of the room. All plants are evolving under the same tent, same environment, same rhythm. Having one diary lag behind doesn’t serve the journey — so we’re catching her up, cleanly and honestly. Thank you for understanding 💚 ⸻ 🌱 General Behavior & Growth Sour Diesel has been growing beautifully. • Strong, healthy structure • Deep green, lush foliage • No stress signals • Calm, confident growth She transitioned into 12/12 smoothly and is now fully sharing the same rhythm as the rest of the room. ⸻ ✋ Training Response (Week 3) Training started in Week 3, using only: • leaf tucking • gentle leaf bending No aggressive techniques. Her response was excellent. By the end of Week 4: • She became noticeably bushier • Leaves increased in size • Side branches began to push outward and upward • Branch length reached roughly 4–5 fingers, which is perfect for this stage Nothing exaggerated, nothing forced — just natural structure opening up. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Signals (or lack of — and why that’s okay) Despite being under 12/12: • No visible flowering signs yet • No pistils • No true flip signals This is expected. Why? • She had ~15 days of 18/6 vegetative phase • She’s now completing ~2 weeks of 12/12 • Sour Diesel often hesitates, then commits fully She feels close — almost like she’s thinking about it. We expect clear signs very soon, likely at the start of the next week. Ending this week: ➡️ bushier ➡️ more structured ➡️ clearly preparing ⸻ Nutrition & Autopot Reality (Important Note) She is currently being fed the same vegetative recipe, with one key adjustment. Autopots & organics — the reality Some of the inputs we normally use are organic / biological. These work beautifully with: • some gravity feeding • hand watering • living solutions But they do NOT work well in irrigation systems like Autopots. Why: • Living inputs can settle • Cause build-ups • Create pH fluctuations • Reduce line consistency • “Alive” water doesn’t like being stored or recirculated So for now: What she’s receiving • Plagron Terra Grow only in the Autopot system • EC lowered to 0.8 (instead of 1.0) • Even though NPK is present, we keep EC conservative • No boosters in the reservoir Occasional top feeding Once or twice, when watering the rest of the room: • She received the full recipe via top watering • This is likely how we’ll continue once demand increases Flower will bring higher needs — we’ll adapt when she asks, not before. ⸻ 🌬️ Environment No changes here: • Temperatures stable • Humidity stable • Airflow unchanged Everything remains identical to the rest of the room, so no need to repeat values. ⸻ 👑 What to Expect / What Not to Expect Expect: • A clear flip soon • Stretch after commitment • More expressive structure than some of the others • Increased nutrient demand once flowering starts Do NOT expect: • Instant pistils just because she’s in 12/12 • Heavy defoliation yet • Aggressive feeding right now • Identical behavior to other cultivars Sour Diesel does things her way — and she’s doing them well. ⸻ 🌿 Final Notes She’s healthy. She’s calm. She’s aligned with the room now. This Queen is not late — she’s intentional. Thank you to everyone following this journey, and thank you for allowing us to keep the diary honest, educational, and paced by the plant — not the calendar. DogDoctorOfficial 📌 Disclaimer / Timeline clarification Before we begin, a quick note for transparency: Last week, while compiling the reports, I unintentionally included some photos that actually belong to this week. That one’s on me. It’s fairly easy to notice which photos those are, and to avoid duplicating files, I’ll keep the correct visuals where they are while continuing to share this week’s genetics shots and videos as intended. Thank you for the understanding — clarity and honesty always come first here 🙏 🌬️ Week 4 Veg — Sour Diesel Quick recap (how we got here) This Sour Diesel has moved through veg without interruptions or stress. From early establishment to now, the focus has been consistency: stable environment, balanced nutrition, and no unnecessary interventions. No setbacks. No corrections. Just steady development and strong genetic expression beginning to show. Anyone joining us now is seeing her at a point where the foundation is already built. ⸻ 🌡️ Room Conditions & Environment Conditions remain identical and stable, exactly as intended for mid-vegetative growth: • Temperature: 25.7 °C • Relative Humidity: 60% • Airflow: constant and gentle • VPD: comfortably in range for veg This environment allows Sour Diesel to: • transpire efficiently • maintain lush coloration • build internal momentum without stress ⸻ 💡 Lighting (Week 4 Veg) • LEDs: running at 90% • Lighting source: top lighting only • Under-canopy lighting: not active yet (planned for flower) She’s growing into the light, not being pushed by it. We’re monitoring PPFD across the canopy using the TrolMaster PAR sensor, walking the room to understand distribution — not to chase numbers, but to stay informed. No adjustments are being made. Observation only. ⸻ 🌱 Nutrition Program Same trusted, balanced approach: • Plagron Terra Grow — vegetative base nutrition • Power Roots — strong, expansive root system • Pure Zym — enzymatic support and cleaner substrate • Sugar Royal — metabolic and microbial encouragement • Vita Race — foliar vitality and micronutrients The response is clear: lush green growth, expressive leaves, and relaxed posture. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Observations • Color: rich, healthy green • Vigor: calm but confident • Growth rate: steady, as expected for Week 4 veg • Structure: quietly stacking potential She’s a lush plant, no other way to say it. Balanced, beautiful, and clearly comfortable in her environment. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (and What Not to Expect) Expect: • noticeable acceleration soon • tighter internodal spacing • increased nutrient demand as root mass peaks Don’t expect: • explosive stretch just yet • dramatic visual changes this • the need for interventions or corrections This is the calm before the surge — the moment where Sour Diesel gathers herself before showing her true pace. ⸻ Closing Notes Week 4 veg is about trusting the process. Sour Diesel is exactly where she should be — healthy, lush, and preparing for the next chapter. Community Note Due to YouTube community guidelines, our educational channel was taken down. DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Grow Diary Update — Sour Diesel Week 4 | First week of flower (12/12) This week, the spotlight is on Sour Diesel, because she clearly stood out from the rest of the room — and when one plant speaks louder than the others, we listen. ⸻ 📍 Quick recap (so everyone is on the same page) • Sour Diesel just entered week 6 / first week of flower • She was running on Autopots with mineral-only feed • Organics and amendments were removed from the Autopot system • The rest of the room handled this change fine • She did not She started showing: • Droopy posture • Loss of vigor • Early deficiency-type signals • A general “I’m not comfortable” look Important detail: 👉 She was the only plant reacting like this. ⸻ 🌿 Why this happened (the key lesson) Sour Diesel is an old-school genetic, and not all strains respond the same way to abrupt system changes. In her case: • She was previously thriving with organics + minerals • Removing organics reduced: • Nutrient complexity • Biological buffering • Availability of secondary elements • This happened right at the transition into flower, when demand increases sharply On top of that, we had environmental pressure: • Outside temps: ~4°C • Outside humidity: ~98% • Room stabilized at: 21°C / 58% RH Those conditions are acceptable — but combined with: • Feed change • Flower transition • Genetic sensitivity …it was enough for her to react. ⸻ 🚿 Why we took her off Autopots Autopots are great — but they’re not universal. We removed her from the Autopot regimen because: • She needed immediate, tailored feeding • She wasn’t responding well to mineral-only delivery • Hand-feeding lets us: • Adjust EC gently • Reintroduce organics • Observe response feed by feed This wasn’t a system failure — it was a plant-specific decision. ⸻ Current feeding strategy (now) • Medium: hand-fed (off Autopots) • EC: 1.43 • pH: 5.9 • Full recipe: organics + minerals • Added: CalMag Pro Why CalMag Pro? • We’re using rainwater + humidifier water, which is very soft • Low calcium & magnesium availability can show fast in flower • This is both: • A corrective move for her • A preventive move for the whole room Meanwhile, the rest of the Autopot system is running: • 2.29 EC • pH 6.0 • Mineral-only • Other plants are stable and happy ⸻ 🌬️ Environment (current) • Lights: stable • Airflow: good • Temp: ~21°C • RH: ~58% Nothing extreme — but this shows how context + timing + genetics matter more than numbers alone. ⸻ 🔮 What we expect (and what we don’t) What we expect: • Gradual recovery, not overnight • Leaf posture improving first • New growth responding before old leaves • Stability over speed What we don’t expect: • Instant “fix” • Old damage to reverse • Her to behave exactly like the rest of the room From now on, she’ll simply need a bit more attention than her sisters — and that’s okay. ⸻ 🧠 The bigger takeaway This is a perfect example of why: • There is no single “best way” • Systems are tools, not rules • Genetics always get a vote • Listening beats forcing We’re not chasing perfection — we’re responding with intention. We’ll keep monitoring her closely over the coming week and adjust calmly, step by step. As always, this is just our experience and observation — not a universal recipe. Plants teach, we adapt 🌱💚 👽 New team member Meet Mr. Baggy Our new fluffy alien/beaver/whatever-he-is friend, won through a Grow Diaries contest. Expect to see him around — he’s officially part of the grow now. Week 5 Veg/pre-flower | 8×8 Tent | Master Conditions 🌍 External Environment (Context) • Outside temperature: ~5 °C • Outside RH: 92–96% (very high humidity) • Strong seasonal pressure influencing internal stability ⸻ 🌡️ Internal Tent Conditions • Tent temperature: ~21.8 °C (noted drop due to cold external temps) • Tent RH: ~58% → Very good considering outside conditions ⸻ 💨 Airflow & Circulation • Primary airflow: Bottom → top → wall return • Pattern: Full-room vortex circulation • Additional fans: Central airflow to break blind spots and mix layers • Goal: No stagnant pockets, uniform VPD across canopy ⸻ 💧 Water Source & Rationale • Water: Dehumidifier water + rainwater • Base EC: force • Systems designed to support plant intelligence, not override it FOR DISCOUNT CODES AND MORE JUST FOLLOW THE LINK https://website.beacons.ai/dogdoctorofficial 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Sour Diesel — Week 7 From Seed (Week 2 Flower) Quick Recap (for context) This Sour Diesel has had a tougher road compared to the rest of the room. Earlier in the cycle, she was hit by a combination of: • Colder external temperatures • Environmental instability during early development • Slower initial adaptation compared to her sisters She never fully enjoyed the colder phase, and recovery has been slow but steady, not explosive. This update reflects a plant that is stabilizing, not one that is racing. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day temperature: ~28 °C (successfully raised and now stable) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height and position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around ~909 ppm) As outside temperatures remained low, the room naturally became its own heat source due to: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Addition of under-canopy lighting No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself naturally. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant, gentle air movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (now transitioning downward — all feeds moving toward 6.0+) Why a Slightly Higher pH Right Now? As plants enter early flower, demand shifts: • Improved Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger P & K availability • Increased root activity A slightly higher pH during this moment supports: • Structural development • Flower initiation • Stability under higher PPFD and CO₂ Nutrient Transition • Terra Grow → flowering nutrients • Supporting the hormonal shift from stretch → stack • Minor signs of possible Ca/Mg demand observed → already being addressed → nothing severe or alarming (Reference images included above for transparency.) ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Progress & Current State She is flowering — slowly, which is expected after stress. Important clarification: • Week 7 from seed • Week 2 of flower This slower pace is not a failure — it’s a recovery-driven transition. She’s prioritizing balance before expression. Leaves are not “happy” in the Instagram sense, but they are: • Responsive • Stable • Not deteriorating That matters more right now. ⸻ 🌍 Seasonal Reality Outside conditions remain harsh: • Temperatures around 4–5 °C • Humidity consistently 90%+ • Full winter conditions The room itself is stable and dialed. The rest of the garden is thriving under these conditions. Because of that: • We are not changing the whole room for one plant • Instead, Sour Diesel receives extra attention and care • The environment remains optimal for the majority of the crop Adaptation goes both ways — plants and growers. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (and What Not to) What we expect: • Continued stabilization • Gradual stacking over the coming weeks • Expression that comes late, not loud What we don’t expect: • Explosive stretch • Perfect symmetry • A “pretty” early flower phase This phase is critical because it determines: • Whether the plant commits energy to survival or production • How much it can realistically give later on Right now, the goal is completion, not competition. ⸻ 🙏 Closing Thanks Huge thanks to: • The genetics creators • The nutrient partners • The GrowDiaries platform for providing a space where growers can document, learn, and interact • The community — OGs, newcomers, supporters, skeptics, lovers, haters — all part of the journey Growing is adaptation. DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Sour Diesel — Week 8 (Flower Week 3) — Strategic Reset Week ⸻ 🔁 Quick Recap — Where We Are • Genetics: Sour Diesel • Timeline: Week 8 from seed • Flowering: Week 3 • Height: ~60–70 cm (compact structure) • Room Temp: 28°C • RH: 65% • Feed EC: 2.9 • pH: 6.5 (kept above 6.0 intentionally) • Lighting: LED • Action this week: Strategic defoliation This plant is not tall — she’s compact, dense, and structurally tight. Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet. And we just improved airflow with defoliation. ⸻ ⚡ EC 2.9 — Aggressive but Intentional That EC is strong. But: • Plant is compact, not oversized • Sour Diesel can eat • pH 6.5 keeps availability wide (Ca, Mg, P balance) The key will be: • Watching leaf tips • Monitoring runoff behavior • Watching for clawing or salt stress Right now, if she’s praying and stacking, she’s handling it. ⸻ 🔍 What To Expect Next Week (Flower Week 4) After defoliation: You may see: • Slight pause (24–72 hours) • Increased vertical bud push • Better lower-site activation • More defined pistil clustering • Stronger apical dominance response If recovery is clean: • Buds begin early stacking phase • Internodes tighten • Resin production initiates at bract level If stress appears: • Slight leaf droop • Tip burn acceleration • Reduced upward leaf angle But based on structure and timing — this looks calculated, not reactive. ⸻ 🧠 Why This Week Matters Long-Term This week determines: • Airflow pattern for late flower • Mold resistance later • Bud density uniformity • Final trim efficiency • Light-to-bud conversion efficiency This wasn’t about now. This was about Week 7 and 8 survival. ⸻ 🙏 Appreciation Section To: • The OGs here since seed • The new followers discovering the journey • The silent readers • The critics • The skeptics • The lovers • The haters • The platform • The sponsors • The community • Grow Diaries itself Everyone has a place here. DogDoctorOfficial Week 9 From Seed Sour Diesel — 12/12 From Seed (≈ Week 4 Flower) First, a quick recap for anyone joining the journey now. This Sour Diesel had a rougher start compared to the rest of the room. Earlier in the run she experienced stress that slowed her development, which is why she remains smaller than the other plants in the room. That said, plants have an incredible ability to recover when given the right environment and a little patience. And despite her size, she is now building beautiful flower structure and starting to frost up nicely. Sometimes the smaller plants still carry the biggest character. ⸻ Current Room Conditions The room is currently running slightly on the warm and humid side, but this is intentional and carefully controlled. Environment • Canopy temperature: ~28°C (gradually tapering toward ~26°C) • Relative humidity: ~70% (slowly being reduced toward ~60%) • CO₂: 1000+ ppm through passive enrichment • PPFD across canopy: 800 → 1300 µmol This might look risky on paper, but the room has very strong airflow and constant air exchange, including inner-canopy movement. Good airflow changes everything. Without proper air movement these numbers would be dangerous, but with healthy circulation and CO₂ availability, the plants are able to metabolize efficiently. ⸻ Nutrient Program (Current Week) Feed EC: ~2.4 Soil EC: ~0.9 Current weekly top feed includes: • CalMag Pro • Terra Bloom (base nutrient) • Power Buds • Green Sensation • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Vita Race (foliar where applicable) ⸻ Why Power Buds and Green Sensation Now At this stage the plant has fully entered generative growth. The stretch phase is finishing and the plant is shifting energy toward flower development and resin production. Power Buds Power Buds helps signal the plant to transition more strongly into flower formation. At this stage we want the plant focusing on bud site development and structure, and this additive helps push that direction. Green Sensation Green Sensation comes in as a flower booster, supporting: • bud weight • terpene production • resin development • potassium and phosphorus availability during peak demand Around week 4 of flower, plants start increasing nutrient demand for flower building, which is why this product becomes relevant now. ⸻ Why Power Roots Was Removed Early in the run the focus is on root system establishment. Power Roots is excellent during: • seedling stage • early vegetative growth • transplant stress But once the root system is already developed and the plant has entered full flowering mode, the focus shifts from root expansion to flower production. At this point it becomes more beneficial to direct the feeding program toward generative growth rather than root stimulation. ⸻ A Quick Note on Leaf VPD Leaf VPD is always something to keep in mind, but we won’t go too deep here since we’ve covered it in previous reports. What matters most is that: • temperature • humidity • airflow • light intensity are all working together. Even though humidity is currently around 70%, the strong airflow and active transpiration keep the plants functioning properly. The leaves are still able to transpire and regulate themselves efficiently. ⸻ Plant Development Despite the smaller plant size, the flower formation is looking excellent. Bud sites are stacking well and trichome production is already beginning to show. She is starting to frost up nicely, almost like a light snowfall on the sugar leaves. The structure is surprisingly elegant for a plant that had a slower start. Sometimes the plants that struggle early end up showing the most personality later in flower. ⸻ What to Expect Next Week Over the coming week we should begin to see: • increased bud stacking • calyx swelling beginning • more visible trichome development • stronger aroma production The plant should now start focusing more energy on resin production and flower density. If conditions remain stable, the next weeks will likely show the true character of this Sour Diesel. ⸻ Final Words To everyone following this journey: Thank you. To the OG growers, the new followers, the people quietly watching, the ones leaving comments, the ones sharing knowledge, and yes — even the haters. Energy is energy, and every voice contributes to the ecosystem of this community. Shoutout as well to the GrowDiaries platform, the broader growing community across platforms, and everyone who continues to support, question, discuss, and share knowledge. We grow together. And sometimes even the plants we think we messed up still remind us why we love doing this. DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Sour Diesel — Week 10 From Seed (Week 5 Flower) The comeback story. ⸻ 🔁 Quick Recap — The “Unhappy Girl” That Didn’t Quit This Sour Diesel started as the most challenged plant in the room. Slow growth, stress signals early on, and clearly behind her sisters. But plants don’t quit — they adapt. She stayed smaller (~60 cm), but instead of stretching for size, she focused on recovery and survival. And now, in Week 5 of flower, we’re seeing something special: 👉 A full metabolic comeback 👉 Active water uptake (~1.2L/day) 👉 Healthy flower development despite early setbacks This is why we document everything — not just perfection, but resilience. 🔬 Macro World — What We’re Really Seeing This week, we zoom in — literally. Macro photography shows us what the eye misses: ✨ Trichomes (The Frost Begins) • Tiny resin glands forming on sugar leaves and calyxes • At this stage: mostly clear → early cloudy • Function: • UV protection • Pest defense • Secondary metabolite production (terpenes, cannabinoids) 👉 This is the plant saying: “I’m protecting my flowers now.” ⸻ 🌸 Calyxes (The Core of the Flower) • The actual reproductive structure • Each calyx = potential seed site (if pollinated) • Now stacking and swelling slowly 👉 This is where your final yield is built. ⸻ 🌿 Pistils / White Hairs • These are stigmas, part of the female reproductive system • Their job: • Catch pollen • Signal reproductive maturity At Week 5: • Still mostly white → plant is actively building, not finishing • Upright and fresh → healthy hormonal signaling 👉 White pistils = growth mode 👉 Dark/orange pistils = maturity progression ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Feeding (Dialed In) You kept it consistent — and that’s why she bounced back: • 🌡️ Temp: 28°C • 💧 RH: 60–65% • ⚗️ pH: ~6.0 • ⚡ EC: 2.4 • 🌬️ CO₂: ~1000 ppm • 🚰 Water intake: ~1.2L/day 👉 That water uptake is key — it tells us: roots are active → metabolism is running → recovery is real ⸻ 📸 Plant Structure & Expression • Smaller frame, but balanced structure • Bud sites forming across the plant • No wasted energy — everything is focused 👉 She didn’t win the height race… 👉 But she’s still in the quality game ⸻ 🧠 What This Plant Teaches Not every plant is a monster. Some are: • Stressed early • Slower to adapt • Smaller in size But with stability and patience: 👉 They recover 👉 They produce 👉 They surprise you This is grower discipline — not chasing perfection, but supporting the process. ⸻ 🎒 Official Introduction — Mr. Baggy He’s been around… now it’s official. Mr. Baggy is part of the team. From garden runs to studio sessions — always present. A reminder that even in serious work… 👉 we keep it human 👉 we keep it fun 👉 we keep it ours ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next Week (Week 6 Flower) • Calyx swelling will accelerate • Trichome production will increase visibly • Pistils may begin slight color change in some areas • Aroma profile will start developing deeper layers ⚠️ Key focus: • Watch EC → avoid pushing too hard now • Maintain airflow (density is coming) • Stay consistent — no big changes ⸻ 🤝 Gratitude From grower to growers: Big love to: • The GrowDiaries community • Everyone following — OGs & new • Supporters, challengers, silent watchers And to the people behind the tools: • Plagron • Zamnesia • The lights above us ⸻ 🌱 Closing She started as the weakest in the room. Now she’s a reminder: 👉 Growth isn’t always fast 👉 Progress isn’t always big 👉 But resilience… always shows 📡 DELETED @ 1K Please stay tuned.we never quit https://www.youtube.com/@TheDogDoctorOfficialNEW 🙏 Thank you for your patience and continued support. DogDoctorOfficial Week 11 From Seed | Week 6 Flower 🌸 (Sour Diesel) Quick Recap — How We Got Here This run has been 12/12 from seed—no veg, no safety net. And this Sour Diesel made that very clear from the beginning. Early stress slowed her down, and in this style of run, that time doesn’t come back. Just like an autoflower, every day counts—and she felt that. She stayed smaller than the rest. Lower water intake. Less stretch. But she never stopped pushing. She adapted, stabilized, and found her rhythm again. ⸻ Current State — Week 6 Flower Now she’s showing her true character. • Temps: 26°C • RH: 60% • EC: 2.0 • pH: 6.5 • Water intake: ~1.2L/day (14.5L soil) Not the biggest drinker—but steady and consistent. We performed a light defoliation, opening her up and preparing her structure for the weeks ahead. And she answered back: Compact, dense buds Noticeable frost building That classic Sour Diesel energy starting to come through Small frame—but real presence. ⸻ Observations • Tight stacking despite limited size • Strong resin production for her stage • Healthy recovery after early stress • Efficient metabolism relative to her size • Terpene profile already hinting through She didn’t win in size— but she’s absolutely delivering in quality. ⸻ The Real Talk This is what 12/12 from seed teaches you. There’s no time to recover mistakes early on. Every stress moment leaves a mark. And this Sour Diesel carries that story. But more importantly—she shows what recovery looks like. Not every plant needs to dominate the room to earn respect. Some earn it by fighting back and still finishing strong. ⸻ Looking Ahead — Week 7 Next week we expect: • Buds tightening further • Frost becoming more visible • Terpenes getting louder—true Diesel character coming out What not to expect: • No major size increase • No catching up to the larger plants And that’s perfectly fine. Now it’s about honoring her finish, not comparing her journey. ⸻ Gratitude 🤝 Big respect to everyone involved: • The genetics — Sour Diesel showing resilience and character • The gear — LEDs, tent, airflow, all working in harmony • The sponsors — for the continued support • The GrowDiaries platform — for letting us document the real journey And to the community: OGs, long-time followers, new supporters, Those showing love and those bringing questions— all of you are part of this. ⸻ Sour Diesel. DogDoctorOfficial Sour Diesel — Week 12 (Week 7 Flower) “The Ascension of a Fighter” 12/12 from seed. No safety net, no adjustment phase — just straight into the cycle. And from day one… she struggled. But she stayed. ⸻ 🌱 How did we get here — 12/12 from seed This run was built around a system — not individual plants. From germination, all plants entered the same 12/12 rhythm. No veg buffer, no separate adaptation window. And that means one thing: ➡️ The environment doesn’t adapt to the plant. ➡️ The plant adapts to the environment. Most did it smoothly. She didn’t. Different feeding sensitivity, different response to VPD, different pace. She never fully synced with the room… But she never gave up either. ⸻ 🌿 The “Unhappy” Plant That Didn’t Quit Let’s be honest — she was behind from the start. * Slower development * Less vigor early on * More sensitive to feeding and conditions In a single-plant run? She might have been considered a failure. But here’s the reality: She adapted. She corrected. She found her rhythm — late, but real. And now? She’s showing why genetics matter. ⸻ ❄️ Trichomes & Frost — Unexpected Power For a plant that struggled… The resin production is honestly impressive. * Buds coated well beyond expectation * Trichome coverage consistent across sites * That classic Sour Diesel sparkle starting to show character Not the heaviest producer in the room — but absolutely punching above her weight. ⸻ 🌸 Density & Structure This is where she surprises even more. * Smaller plant overall * But buds coming in tight and compact * Good stacking despite limited size She didn’t stretch much — but what she built, she built with intention. Dense. Focused. Efficient. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment — Why we didn’t adjust for her Important point here. This room is dialed for system stability, not individual correction. * Temps, RH, feeding — all set for the majority * Adjusting everything for one plant would destabilize the whole run So in this case: ➡️ She had to adapt to the room ➡️ Not the other way around And that’s exactly what makes her story interesting. Because she did. ⸻ 💧 Nutrition Same base feeding as the room: * Terra Bloom * Pure Zym * Sugar Royal * Power Buds * Green Sensation * CalMag Pro pH ~6.5 | EC ~2.0 She showed sensitivity early on, but stabilized over time. No chasing deficiencies. No overcorrections. Just steady input and patience. ⸻ 🧠 Observations This plant is a lesson. Not every plant thrives instantly. Not every phenotype fits the system. But resilience… that’s where the real value shows. She may not be the biggest. She may not be the easiest. But she’s earned her place in this run. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect next week * Continued resin development * Slight increase in bud density * Possible early signs of ripening (some pistil darkening) * No explosive growth — but steady finishing She’s not going to suddenly become the biggest. But she will finish properly. ⸻ ⚠️ What NOT to expect * No late stretch * No dramatic size increase * No sudden change in structure This is about refinement now, not expansion. ⸻ 🙏 Final Words To everyone following this journey: * The ones who support from day one * The new people discovering the process * The skeptics — always part of the balance * The silent watchers * The platform hosting this space * The sponsors and partners * The genetics behind this resilience And especially… This plant. Not perfect. Not easy. But real. DogDoctorOfficial Sour Diesel — The Ascension of a Legend 🙂 Week 13 | Flowering | The quiet final stretch Sour Diesel was never the easiest girl in the room. From the beginning, she was the one that lagged behind. Smaller, tighter, less vigorous, less willing to stretch into the room the way the others did. She never had the same natural momentum, never claimed the same canopy space, and for most of the run, she looked like the plant that simply got outpaced. But this is exactly why this week matters. Because despite a slower start, despite a more compact frame, despite being the smallest girl in the room, she never stopped building. She just did it differently. And now, near the end, she is showing exactly what resilience looks like in flower: a compact, dense, intensely stacked Sour Diesel with real weight, proper frost, and far more character than her size first suggested. She may not be the tallest plant in the room. She may not be the widest plant in the room. But she earned every gram she is carrying. And that deserves its moment. Small frame, full intention Sour Diesel never became a large plant structurally. She stayed shorter, tighter, and more compact from the start, which naturally put her at a disadvantage in a room where the rest of the canopy climbed higher and intercepted more direct top light. In a standard top-down setup, that usually means one thing: the lower half underperforms. Less penetration. Less useful PPFD below the crown. Less productive lower flower development. But this is exactly where the layered lighting approach changed the outcome. Because while her top canopy remained below the rest of the room, she was never truly left in the shade. The inner canopy bars and under-canopy support kept usable photons moving through the lower structure, which meant the lower sites still received enough energy to remain productive. Not equal to the top, of course—but productive enough to continue building instead of stalling. And on a smaller plant like this, that matters even more. She did not need extreme stretch. She needed access. And access changed everything. That is why this plant still developed visible lower flower mass, proper side stacking, and much better density through the mid and lower zones than a compact plant like this would usually produce under top light alone. She stayed small. But she never stopped producing. Why we are now running only water + enzymes At this stage, the job is no longer to push growth. The structure is built. The flowers are formed. The plant has already done the heavy lifting. Now the goal is not to feed harder. The goal is to finish cleaner. From here forward, Sour Diesel is running on plain water and enzymes only. That means no more base nutrients, no more bloom push, no more unnecessary inputs—just hydration, biology, and a clean finish. And at this point in flower, that makes sense for several reasons. 1. The plant no longer needs to be pushed Late flower is not the time to force new production. The plant is no longer trying to build a new framework. It is finishing, ripening, and reallocating what it already holds. At this stage, overfeeding usually does not create better flowers. It more often creates excess residue, unnecessary salt accumulation, and a dirtier finish. The bulk is already there. Now we let the plant finish what it started. 2. Enzymes help clean the root zone This is where enzymes earn their place. At the end of the cycle, enzymes help break down leftover organic material, dead root matter, and residual waste in the medium. That helps keep the rhizosphere active, reduces unnecessary buildup, and keeps the root zone cleaner during the final stretch. The goal here is not “feeding” in the classic sense. It is maintenance. Cleanup. Biological support. We are not trying to push more into the pot. We are trying to help the system finish clean. 3. We reuse this soil This matters. Because this medium is not being treated like disposable substrate. It will be reused, and what is left in it matters. By finishing lighter and keeping enzymes in play, we are not just thinking about this harvest—we are also thinking about the biological life left behind in the soil after harvest, and how that soil transitions into its next job outdoors. Instead of ending with a heavily loaded, overly salted medium, we finish cleaner, keep the biology more intact, and make that transition back into living use much easier. That matters now. And it matters later. Why the light is also being reduced now This is another late-flower adjustment that often gets overlooked. At this stage, they do not need the same intensity they needed during peak production. Earlier in flower, stronger PPFD made sense because the plant was actively building mass, driving expansion, and converting light into structural output. Now the job is different. Now we are finishing ripeness, not chasing stretch or bulk. So light intensity is being reduced accordingly. Not because the plant is “done” —but because she no longer needs to be pushed like she is still in peak construction mode. Softer finishing light helps reduce unnecessary stress in late flower, lowers excess demand, and better matches what the plant is actually doing now: ripening, maturing, and closing. Less push. More finish. What to watch now: trichomes, calyx, pistils, fade This is the week where patience matters more than feeding. Not every sign of maturity happens at once, and not every visible change means harvest is immediate. This is where people rush. Do not harvest because one sign changed. Harvest when the plant begins aligning across multiple signals. That is what matters now. Trichomes Trichomes are still the clearest indicator of maturity, but they need to be read correctly. What we are watching now is the shift from clear → cloudy, followed by the first meaningful amber development. * Clear = still immature * Cloudy / milky = peak cannabinoid maturity * Amber = oxidation / deeper ripening The goal is not “amber everywhere.” The goal is a mature field. We want the majority developed, mostly cloudy, with the first real amber appearing in context—not isolated, not on sugar leaves, and not misread from damaged tissue. Sugar leaf trichomes mature faster and are not the best harvest reference. Watch the calyx heads. That is where the real read is. Calyx swell This is one of the most overlooked end-of-flower signs. The calyx is what we want to watch now. As the plant finishes, the calyxes swell, stack tighter, and begin to look fuller, rounder, and more pressurized. That final inflation is one of the clearest visual signs that the flower is actually finishing. This is where the “weight” often really appears. Not because the plant suddenly grows more structure, but because the flower tightens and finishes filling itself in. Pistils / white hairs White hairs are useful, but only in context. Fresh white pistils still mean the plant is actively expressing new growth. Darkening pistils suggest progression. Receding pistils suggest maturity. But pistils alone are not a harvest signal. Some plants throw fresh hairs late. Some oxidize early. Some mislead entirely. Watch them—but do not trust them alone. Leaf fade Late flower fade is expected now. As the plant winds down, it naturally begins reallocating internal resources, and leaf color starts to shift with it. Greens soften. Some leaves pale. Some yellow. Some lose intensity. Some anthocyanin expression may begin to show depending on environment and genetics. This is normal. Late flower should look like a plant reaching completion, not like a plant still trying to look vegetative. The goal now is not perfect green. The goal is proper finish. What to expect next week Expect ripening. Expect more calyx swelling. Expect more pistils to darken and recede. Expect more visible fade. Expect aroma to deepen. Expect the plant to look less “fresh” and more finished. That is what you want. Do not expect explosive new growth. Do not expect dramatic stretch. Do not expect massive visual change overnight. The final week is rarely about expansion. It is about refinement. Less building. More finishing. And Sour Diesel is finally entering that part beautifully. Thank you for being here And before she closes, thank you. To Zamnesia for the genetics. To Plagron for the support. To Grow Diaries for the platform. To everyone following since day one. For caring enough to pay attention. DogDoctorOfficial Week 14 from seed — or around Week 9 flower in this 12/12 from seed journey — and today we focus on our Sour Diesel. The small one. The difficult one. The “unhappy” girl of the room. And honestly? Sometimes those are the plants that teach us the most. This report also represents the beginning of harvest time for her, although we decided to divide the final documentation into multiple updates because there were simply too many photos and too much to talk about in a single post. So this entry focuses mainly on the living plant itself: her structure, morphology, resin production, density, colors, trichomes, and overall expression before harvest. The next report will go deeper into the harvest process itself — cutting, trimming, drying, observations after chop, and eventually the smoke review once everything is properly cured. Now, let’s address the obvious part first: yes, she stayed much smaller than the rest of the room. And that’s completely okay. When growing multiple genetics together in one shared environment, perfection for every individual plant becomes impossible. One room cannot fully satisfy the exact preferences of every cultivar at the same time. Some genetics dominate the environment naturally, while others adapt differently. Sour Diesel in this case never became the biggest or happiest plant in the tent, but she never stopped fighting either. And honestly, there is something beautiful about that. Despite her smaller structure, she produced dense, compact flowers with excellent frost coverage and surprisingly solid stacking. She may not have filled the room vertically, but she absolutely made her presence known up close. Sometimes quality hides inside smaller frames. Morphologically she developed in a very compact way compared to the taller spear-shaped plants around her. Tight internodes, clustered flower sites, chunky calyx development, and resin-covered sugar leaves gave her a very distinct look in the room. As harvest approached, the flowers started showing more maturity signals everywhere: pistils darkening and curling inward, calyxes swelling harder day after day, resin heads thickening, and that beautiful late-flower texture beginning to appear across the buds. And honestly, the trichomes are looking gorgeous. Frost levels became impressive for such a small plant, especially in macro range. Under magnification, the flowers almost stop looking real. Tiny crystal forests everywhere, sticky sugar leaves, swollen resin heads, and layers of texture forming across every surface. Some trichomes are still clear, many are cloudy, and small amber signs are beginning to appear here and there — exactly the kind of progression we like to monitor carefully during these final stages. The colors also started telling the end-of-cycle story. Greens slowly softening, pistils shifting into orange and brown tones, flowers tightening up and looking heavier despite the plant’s overall small size. She may not have been the easiest plant in the room, but visually she absolutely earned her moment. And of course, we cannot ignore the newest member of the inspection team: our tiny plastic fly friend. He or she took the job very seriously this week, carefully inspecting trichomes, density, calyx development, and overall quality control during the photoshoot. Thankfully, the inspection passed successfully. No complaints from management. This update is also a reminder that not every successful plant needs to be gigantic. Sometimes growers become too focused on size and forget to appreciate resilience, uniqueness, resin quality, flower density, or simple beauty. Sour Diesel may have remained compact, but she still carried herself with character all the way to the finish line. For now, we continue observing and documenting her final living moments before harvest. The next update will dive much deeper into the actual chop, trimming, drying process, and final impressions once she officially completes her journey. So if anyone has been following this little fighter since the beginning, stay tuned — we are not finished with her story yet. Massive thanks once again to everyone involved in this journey: Zamnesia for the genetics. Plagron for the support. The sponsors and equipment partners helping make these projects possible. Grow Diaries for providing the platform. The growers sharing advice and positivity. The longtime followers who have been here since the first weeks. The new people discovering the project now. The skeptics, the critics, the silent viewers, the supporters — everybody crossing through here adds something to the experience. From grower to growers, thank you for following along. And to our little Sour Diesel: small, stubborn, frosty, and unforgettable. — A quick note about some of the macro photos and “photo merges” shared in this diary. A lot of the close-up images shown here are actually focus-stacked macro photographs. That means they are not a single photo, but a combination of many images merged together to create one final detailed shot. Depending on magnification and depth, some stacks here were made from around 50–60 photos, while the biggest one in this update reached around 255 individual frames. Why? Because at high magnification, the depth of field becomes incredibly small. Sometimes only a tiny part of the trichome or calyx is in focus at once. So we take many photos while slowly shifting focus through the subject, capturing different layers of detail from front to back. After that, all frames are merged together using Affinity Photo 2, creating a single image with much more depth and sharpness than a normal macro shot could achieve alone. Final color adjustments and edits are also done afterward to better represent what we experienced visually in the studio. So behind every “simple” trichome photo there is actually a surprising amount of work, patience, and processing involved — but honestly, it’s worth it. These plants become entire microscopic worlds once you get close enough. 📡 DELETED @ 1K Please stay tuned.we never quit https://www.youtube.com/@TheDogDoctorOfficial NEW 🙏 Thank you for your patience and continued support. DogDoctorOfficial Sour Diesel — The Little Survivor Harvest & Trimming Report — Part 1 Before starting this report properly, we once again want to apologize for dividing the harvest documentation into multiple parts. Even when plants are smaller than the giants we have shown recently, we still believe every genetic deserves proper documentation, proper explanation, and enough time to tell the full story from seed to final medicine. That means: - harvest, - drying, - trimming, - curing, - smoke review, - terpene analysis, - and final reflections all deserve their own moments. And honestly? That is exactly what GrowDiaries is about for us. Not just showing finished buds. But documenting the entire journey honestly. The beautiful parts. And also the difficult ones. --- This week, we are talking about the smallest and most unhappy girl from the room: Our Sour Diesel. And honestly… in a room full of different genetics sharing the same environment, same feeding schedule, same lighting, same humidity and same rhythm, it is impossible to make every single plant perfectly happy all the time. Some genetics thrive. Some tolerate. Some struggle. And this Sour Diesel definitely struggled more than the others during this run. Compared to the monsters surrounding her inside the 8x8 room, she stayed smaller, more sensitive, and clearly less comfortable with the overall conditions. But here is the important part: She never gave up. And neither did we. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is remove the weak plant and move on. But when we have: - the space, - the patience, - the time, - and the love for growing, sometimes it is worth allowing plants the opportunity to recover and finish their journey. And honestly? We are very happy we did. Because despite all the struggles, this little Sour Diesel still delivered beautiful medicine. --- By Week 15 from seed, she was finally ready. Not the biggest plant. Not the frostiest in the room. Not the highest yielder. But still beautiful in her own way. Dense little flowers. Strong aromas already developing. Beautiful trichomes. Classic Sour Diesel energy hidden underneath the stress she experienced. And because the entire room was coming down together, her time also arrived. Could she maybe have stayed another week? Possibly. But in a mixed-room environment, timing becomes a collective decision. And honestly, we were happy with where her trichomes stood: mostly cloudy, a few amber, still some clear heads, but overall exactly inside the window we personally enjoy harvesting our medicine. --- After harvest, we broke the plant down branch by branch and placed everything carefully onto drying racks. Drying conditions stayed similar to the rest of the room: around 20°C and 60% humidity. Slow. Controlled. Patient. Exactly how we like it. After roughly 7–10 days, once those little branch snaps finally gave us that beautiful “click” every grower loves hearing, trimming time arrived. And honestly? For a smaller plant, this became a very peaceful trimming session. Trim bin on stage. Gloves on. Zamnesia curved scissors ready. Mr. Baggy supervising operations as always. And one by one, we cleaned her carefully. Those curved scissors truly make a difference for us because they allow easy access deep into compact flowers while preserving structure and avoiding unnecessary damage to the buds. Small details matter during trimming. Especially with resinous flowers. --- And despite being a smaller harvest… this girl was still sticky. Very sticky. The gloves quickly started collecting resin, giving us beautiful finger hash that we rolled gently into small charas-style balls to enjoy later. And honestly? One of the most beautiful parts of hand trimming is exactly this connection. Feeling the resin. Feeling the texture. Understanding the plant directly through touch. No machine replaces that. The trim bin also collected a nice amount of resin-rich material through the screen, which we later gathered into another small hash ball. Not massive amounts. But beautiful medicine nonetheless. And honestly? That always makes us happy. --- Final dry result: 54.2 grams. And while some growers may look only at numbers, we honestly prefer looking at stories. Because this plant easily could have been discarded much earlier in the run. Instead, she recovered, finished, dried properly, trimmed beautifully, and now rests curing safely inside one of the Zamnesia vacuum metal containers. For smaller personal jars like this, we absolutely love these containers because: - they preserve aromas very well, - reduce unnecessary air exchange, - protect terpenes, - and keep special flowers separated for long-term enjoyment. This became one of those “open only sometimes” jars. The kind of medicine you revisit quietly from time to time. --- We also decided to press part of this Sour Diesel to explore her resin potential. But… we will save that entire conversation for Part 2. Because that story deserves its own moment. And honestly? There are lessons there worth sharing. --- For now, we simply close this chapter feeling grateful. Grateful that we kept her alive. Grateful that patience won. Grateful that even the “unhappy plant” still found a way to become beautiful medicine. Sometimes plants teach us more during struggle than during perfection. And this Sour Diesel definitely reminded us of that. --- Huge thanks once again to: Zamnesia for the genetics, Plagron for the nutrients, Future of Grow LEDs for the lighting, GrowDiaries for the platform, and every single person following these journeys. The OGs. The silent followers. The new growers. The skeptics. The lovers. The haters. The accidental visitors. If you are here reading this… you are part of the story too. And honestly? We appreciate all of you. Part 2 coming soon: Smoke review, curing evolution, terpene profile, rosin discussion, and final thoughts about this little survivor. The journey continues. As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Let’s celebrate it responsibly and continue to learn and grow together. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 Quick little side note before closing this update: Apologies if some of the photo sequences appear slightly out of order or jump a bit between stages. With hundreds of files, multiple cameras, daytime/nighttime shots, trimming sessions, macros, and documentation spread across different moments, sometimes the gallery decides to dance left, right, up and down on its own 😄 But honestly… maybe that chaos is also part of the real grow room energy. Nothing here is over-polished or artificially perfect. Just real plants, real moments, real documentation and real passion for the craft. Thank you all for following along through every step of the journey 🌱

Sour Diesel — Our Strain Review First of all, before giving numbers or stars, I think it is important to be honest and fair with this review. This run was not fully her fault. Actually… most of the difficulties came from us and from the environment she had to deal with. Growing inside a shared room with multiple genetics always means compromises. Some plants adapt perfectly to the environment, others demand different conditions, different feeding rhythms, different intensity levels or simply a different type of attention. And our Sour Diesel definitely belonged to that second group. She was the “unhappy girl” of the room Sensitive, demanding and clearly not fully comfortable during several stages of the run. But despite all of that, she never fully gave up. She kept pushing, kept producing, kept stacking flowers and in the end still delivered beautiful old-school medicine packed with character and nostalgia. That alone says a lot about her resilience. So for this run, I am giving her: — 8/10 And honestly, I think this score says more good things than bad things. Why? Because even under imperfect conditions, shared space limitations and environmental stress, she still managed to produce quality flowers, beautiful terpene expression, strong effects and genuinely enjoyable medicine. That means there is definitely something special hidden inside this genetic. The reason I cannot give a higher score right now is simple: I do not think this run allowed her to show her full potential. And I want to be fair about that. This is one of those strains that deserves a second chance in a more dedicated environment before receiving a final verdict. Some genetics are easy crowd-pleasers that perform almost everywhere. Others need a little more understanding, dialing-in and adaptation to truly shine. I believe Sour Diesel belongs to that second category. In terms of resistance though? Respect where respect is due. Because despite everything she went through, she still finished the race. And that matters. Flavor-wise, she delivered exactly the kind of profile many old-school lovers search for: Sharp diesel. Skunky background. Earthy complexity. Nostalgic smoke. Classic cerebral effect. Very uplifting medicine. Very functional. Very social. Very creative. The kind of flower that makes you smile halfway through the session because it reminds you why you fell in love with cannabis in the first place. Would I grow her again? Absolutely. And honestly… I think she deserves it. Not because this run was perfect. But because I believe there is still much more hidden inside her waiting to be discovered

DogDoctorOfficial Week 15 From Seed — Sour Diesel | Part 2 — Cure, Smoke Review & Final Thoughts 🌱 Before starting this final chapter, a quick recap for everyone arriving here for the first time. This entire run was done 12/12 from seed inside a room shared with multiple genetics, different personalities and different expressions. Some girls loved the environment from day one. Others needed more patience, more adaptation and more understanding. And our Sour Diesel… she definitely had her difficult moments. She never fully enjoyed the room conditions the same way some of the others did. While the rest exploded with vigor and stacked aggressively, this girl stayed smaller, more sensitive and a little more demanding. In another environment, another setup or another run focused only on her, maybe she would have shown a completely different side. But that is also part of growing. Not every plant becomes the biggest one in the room. Not every run is about chasing records or numbers. Sometimes the lesson is patience. Sometimes the lesson is resilience. Sometimes the lesson is simply learning when to support instead of giving up. And honestly… I am very glad I kept her alive and trusted the process. From seed until harvest, she received the exact same love as every other plant in the room. Minimal training, only some gentle leaf bending here and there, plants growing naturally into the PPFD provided by the LEDs. Organic and mineral nutrition working together through the Plagron line. Slow development, careful observation and a lot of patience. After harvest, she dried for around 10 days at roughly 18–20°C and 60% humidity before trimming day arrived. Branches were broken down slowly by hand, gloves on, trimming bin on the table and the curved Zamnesia scissors once again becoming absolute heroes during cleanup. Even with a smaller harvest, she still covered the gloves with sticky resin and rewarded us with beautiful finger hash and a nice little collection from the trim bin screen. In total, she delivered 54.2 grams. And honestly? Considering everything she went through… I am genuinely happy with that result. Not every victory is measured only in weight. Sometimes a successful harvest is simply reaching the finish line. After trimming, she went into the Zamnesia vacuum containers for cure alongside some glass jars for comparison. Humidity stayed stable and now, after roughly one and a half to two months of curing, this little jar became one of those “special occasion” jars. The type you do not open every day. The type you revisit slowly. The type you respect because there is not much of it left. And now for the important part… The smoke. This girl is beautiful. Very old-school feeling medicine. Strong diesel and skunky notes immediately hit on the inhale with that nostalgic classic Sour profile many growers still chase today. Sharp, dirty, fuel-like terpenes mixed with that earthy-skunky background that instantly brings memories from older genetics and older sessions. The smoke itself is smooth but expressive. Not aggressive on the throat, but very loud in flavor. And the effect? Completely cerebral. Uplifting, active, creative and socially pleasant while still carrying enough depth to relax the body without knocking it down. This is not couch-lock medicine. This is “sit outside during sunset and watch the world slow down a little” medicine. Perfect for daytime sessions, creative moments, long conversations, walks, music or simply reconnecting with your own thoughts. Very functional while still being powerful. And honestly… probably one of the most nostalgic smokes from this entire run. We also decided to press part of the harvest to see how she behaved as rosin. And yes… mistakes were made 😄 We pressed at around 90°C for roughly 180 seconds and ended up going slightly hotter than ideal. The result came out darker than expected, but still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. The terpenes remained beautiful, the texture cured nicely and overall it became another great learning experience. That is also part of the journey. You learn. You adjust. You improve. And next press gets even better. One thing I also wanted to share in this final report are some of the macro focus stacks included in the gallery. We have one 99-frame stack, one 160-frame stack, one 222-frame stack and one 255-frame stack. These do not represent the harvest itself. They are artistic and educational macro projects created to showcase the trichomes, textures and structure hidden inside these flowers. Tiny worlds inside tiny worlds. A way to slow down and appreciate details our eyes normally miss. And honestly… this little Sour Diesel deserved that attention. Of course, Mr. Baggy stayed with us the whole way through the process as always. Despite being a blue fluffy assistant with questionable qualifications, his emotional support during trimming, curing and “quality control sessions” continues to be outstanding 😄 As we close this run, I want once again to thank everybody involved. Zamnesia for the genetics. Plagron for the nutrients. FOG and Future of Grow for the lighting. GrowDiaries for the platform and the community. The OG followers. The new followers. The silent watchers. The supporters. The skeptics. The lovers. The haters. The growers. The learners. The teachers. Everybody who stopped by and became part of this journey in one way or another. This run may be finished… But the next adventure is already growing somewhere nearby 🌱
