India_Calcoen I’m starting my first indoor grow! I decided to grow Zamnesia’s landrace pack. I want to get familiar with the origins of contemporary hybrid strains. It’s going to be a challenge - growing radically different genetics with diverging growth and flowering times, all in the same tent. I will need a lot of patience and settle for a lower yield, but I love starting a new learning journey!
I’m intrigued by the relationships between people and their (heritage) crops and animals. My other hobby is raising Ronquières turkeys. The original breed of turkeys that were domesticated by the indigenous people of central America and brought to Europe by Spanish explorers in the early 1500s. The Belgian artist Joachim Beuckelaer painted a (dead) turkey in 1566 that looks exactly like my turkey tom named “Hempie”.

My seed was planted on the 29th November into a growbag with soil and germinated on the 4th of December. I transplanted the seed with it's growbag to a 12,5 litre Airpot on the 14th of December. The growbags are quite handy when I want to transplant a seedling from the propagator to the pot. I can lift the seedling with it's soil easily and the roots grow easily through the growbag.
I have 4 plants growing at this moment. Thai from the Landrace Pack didn't germinate so I decided to grow Lamb's Bread instead. Today I decided Hindu Kush has to go because she didn't perform well enough. I planted the Lamb's Bread into the old pot of Hindu Kush.
I will use the pot with the beer bottle to plant a seed directly into it. I'm filling the hole with Plagron Seeding & Cutting Soil and put the seed directly into it. I will use a plastic cup as a propagator. Hopefully I will have five healthy plants by next week. 🙏🙏🙏

Lamb’s Bread is growing, not vigourosly, but she is steadily getting more leaves. She has a bright green colour, while my other plants are a darker green.

Lambs Bread is growing fine. I defoliated some of her small leaves and tips at the bottom of the plant. No special remarks. I’m happy with her 😊

Lamb’s Bread is growing fine. I’m giving her 0,5 litres of plain water every two days. Today I added 0,5 ml of Power Roots and 1 ml of Sugar Royal.

Lamb’s Bread is going fine. At first I decided to let her just grow without training, but some side branches stayed under her thick dark green leaves and I decided to cut some of the big leaves off. She is also switching to 12/12 today. We will see how she stretches.

Lambs Bread is growing fine. I cut off some big leaves that were depriving some side branches of light. I try to let her grow as she wants, trying to not interfere with the way she wants to grow.

Lamb’s bread is doing fine. I defoliated her a little bit because her large fan leaves were covering buds forming on smaller side branches. I’m satisfied with her 😊

Lamb’s Bread has started to stink! I don’t recognise this smell. I thought she maybe smells like sheep 🐑 but it isn’t quite it. I defoliated her a bit today to let more light in and because I need the space in the tent. I like how her bright green buds look like and how small crystals are forming on the leaves around her buds. She is doing a good job 👍💚

Lamb’s Bread has been growing balls and some pollensacs even opened! 😳😳😳 🤬🤬🤬 I took her from my tent and put her in my living room. Tomorrow I’m having a thorough inspection and I’m deciding if I’ll have to cut her down…

Lamb’s Bread is growing fine. She has a lot of small trichomes on her leaves and it looks almost fuzzy, or shiny. No special remarks this time. When I’m not defoliating she smells ok. When I start cutting the leaves it smells like animals or puke 😅

I killed my Lamb’s Bread. The balls were everywhere and I don’t have the energy to remove them all and check her everyday for new ones. Unfortunately she pollinated my Afghani, quite a few pistils turned brown. My chickens will be happy, they love the hempseeds. I juiced my entire plant and drank it. Who knows, maybe it will do something good for me.
@Natrona, I can imagine how you felt… it really sucks finding those balls. 😟 this is my first indoor grow and I wonder how often plants herm. What is your experience?
@India_Calcoen, i was trying living soil product which needs less watering than most other. I watered my 2-3day span. This created lockout, but by the time I got it corrected the stress made it hermi. This was my first experience and didn't even know what to look for. I do now. The hermit plant maybe 4 seeds. The others over 100 -200 per plant. Sheesh 💚💫
