Bud_Wiser Papaya Frosting looks good, she emerged right after her fastest sisters and playing "catch up" She is getting about 200PPFD of light Fed her 1EC of a A+B+Calmag mix pH'd to 5.8 I am keeping her on a seedling mat to keep the temperature high as the room temperature is quite cold

Bud_Wiser Papaya frosting from Barney's seem to not like the conditions that much Her sisters under same grow light and getting same nutrients look much better and grow more vigorous After transplant to 25L pots I have increased the EC of feed to 1.4 and PPFD to around 300

Bud_Wiser 3 weeks passed and Papaya Frosting is doing ok I suspect the root zone EC raised because she is starting to show some signs of osmotic stress For the next week I am going to tone down the EC to restore balance Growth rate is normal so I am not going to take any drastic measures as flush Did a proper manifolding and she recovered quickly πŸ’ͺ

Bud_Wiser 2nd round of topping has been done this week as well as some unwanted node removal. She is slowly recovering and hopefully in about a week or two it will be ready to flip her to flower I ran into some nutrient problems in the tent, some imbalance that I am trying to fix now Nothing too serious, a bit of excess causing some lockouts I decided to go a little lower on EC to dilute the root zone buildup I cut on the calmag for next 2-3 reservoirs

Bud_Wiser Another week passed, The growth speed increased, it almost seem like they are getting bigger and bigger every day The nutrient imbalance signs on the old growth won't go away but the new growth looks promising With EC increase I also increased the PPFD to 450 In a couple of days another training session and maybe some defoliation too Happy Weekend Everyone! 😊

Bud_Wiser Flipped to flower 4 days ago The conditions are: PPFD 550, RH 60%, Temp 23-24C The grow rate is ok, she is a little pale but that's still the residue of problems from earlier Papaya Frosting is nowhere near the level of the Original Barney's Farm genetics I understand ambition and pursuit of collaboration and fame but in my humble opinion the collabs only harm Barney's quality The genetics are mid at most, on flimsy and smaller side, hopefully flower will defend them a little because it doesn't look too good

Bud_Wiser Stretch is coming to an end it's time for major defoliation Papaya Frosting lost about 70% of foliage and half of the bud sites, still there is plenty left For some reason some of the plants in the tent are turning lime green, This is my first time growing in Plagron, wondering if you all have similar experience with the nutrient line Growth is as expected, leaves praying to the light. I don't think I will look for cause of the discoloration and just keep on schedule

Bud_Wiser on 23.02 I did a full system and grow medium flush, system cleaning and tent cleaning Flushed first with light nutrient mix with addition of 3% H2O2 Last few grows was such a hit and miss when it comes to root health in autopots I am considering swapping back to air pots and top watering for the next run Papaya Frosting is doing great. She smells incredible, gassy with some fruity notes. Her stacking is impressive

Bud_Wiser Snow covered the Papaya Frosting mountains. The buds are really heavy and nearly wet of resin that is slowly maturing Currently the trichome check revealed about 60% cloudy 35% clear and about 5% amber mainly on the top sugar leaves The terps are very earthy with fruit undertones. The resin is sticky as glue creating micro hairs when touched She needs about 10 more days up to 2 weeks to fully mature

Happy Harvest Day!

Papaya Frosting is not a beginner strain. It's highly potent and quickly transfers from a happy euphoric high into a couch lock situation. The smell of Papaya Frosting is slightly gassy with a fruit salad mix. It's hard to exactly pinpoint what fruit is in the smell. The taste on the other hand is a different story. You get smacked in the face with rich fruity mix of citrus and berries. The creaminess of papaya and the sweetness of it is noticeable on the exhale mixed up with peppery undertones. The fruity notes are almost candy like and they linger after the exhale. Not overly sweet.
