CheeRz GERMINATION - The Journey of Permanent Bluez Begins
🌿 THE STARTING LINE
Strain Selection:
For this IZI Seeds Grow Report Contest, I’ve chosen the Permanent Bluez. The genetics sound incredibly promising, and I can't wait to see how this strain performs under my LED setup. Big thanks to IZI Seeds for the opportunity!
Germination Method:
I am using the glas of water Technique for a reliable start.
The seed was placed in a glass of room-temperature, pH-balanced water.
It will stay in a dark, warm place until it sinks or shows the first sign of the taproot (usually 12-24 hours).
Once the shell cracks, it will be carefully transferred into the starting medium.
📋 INITIAL PARAMETERS
Method: Water soak
Temperature: A steady 24°C to simulate ideal springtime conditions.
Lighting: Total darkness for the first stage to minimize stress on the sensitive embryo.
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Xmas came early this year! The packaging from IZI Seeds is top-notch and the seed looks very healthy and mature. My goal for this run is to document every step with precision—focusing on environment control and plant health to get the best out of these genetics. Let's go, baby, and keep it IZI! 💚"

CheeRz WEEK 1 - VEGETATION: Observations & Early Mutations
🌱 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Growth Status:
The Permanent Bluez is now one week into vegetation. The plant shows great color and strong stem development, reaching a height of 5 cm. However, this phenotype is showing a distinct mutation right from the start.
The Mutation:
As seen in the photos, the seedling has emerged without a traditional growth tip (Apex). The primary set of leaves is developing, but the central terminal bud is missing. This is a rare but interesting genetic trait that will definitely influence how the plant structures itself in the coming weeks.
Reaction:
Despite the missing tip, the plant is very vital. My focus is now on supporting the existing foliage and observing how the plant chooses to develop its next nodes. The genetics from IZI Seeds are definitely unique, and I'm ready to adapt my training methods to this specific lady.
📋 ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS
Light Cycle: 18/6
Temperature: 24°C
Humidity (RH): 50%
pH Level: 7.0
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
Week 1 and already a surprise! The missing growth tip makes this run very special for the IZI Seeds Contest. I’m not worried because the overall health and green 'pop' of the plant are excellent. It’s all about observing and reacting now. Let's see what she does in Week 2! Keep it IZI 💚.

CheeRz WEEK 2 - VEGETATION: Intervention: Topping the Mutation
✂️ THE GROWER'S INTERVENTION
The Challenge:
As documented in Week 1, this phenotype of Permanent Bluez emerged without a traditional central growth tip (Apex). To prevent the plant from staying dormant at that terminal point, I had to take action this week.
The Action: Topping
I performed a clean topping at the site of the missing tip. The goal was twofold:
Stimulation: To force the plant's energy from the central mutation into the lower lateral branches.
Structure: To encourage the development of a multi-topped canopy right from the start, bypassing the dead-end mutation.
Reaction:
The plant is showing great vitality and has already accepted the LST and topping. The side branches are beginning to push up, and I can see the structure adapting. This shows excellent resilience!
📋 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
The focus this week was on a mild environment to support recovery after the cut.
Light Distance: Slightly increased from the Pure LED Q-V2 to reduce intensity and light-stress.
Temperature: A gentle 24°C – 24.5°C.
Humidity (RH): Increased slightly to 55% – 60% to minimize transpiration stress on the developing foliage.
pH Level: Steady at pH 7.0.
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Week 2 was critical for this run. I made the call to perform a manual topping to deal with the missing apex from Week 1. I'm very happy with how she reacted! She’s a fighter and already pushing the lower nodes. This looks like it's going to work out beautifully for a nice, bushy structure. Challenge accepted! 💚" Keep it IZI 💚

CheeRz WEEK 3 - VEGETATION: Post-Topping Recovery & Early Lateral Growth
🌱 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Recovery from Topping:
After the successful intervention in Week 2, the Permanent Bluez is now fully focused on developing its side branches. The central mutation is no longer an issue, as the plant’s energy is being redistributed beautifully to the lower nodes.
Vigor:
The growth is steady. The leaves are a deep, healthy green, and the stem is thickening up. At 10 cm height, she is staying low and compact, which is perfect for the planned training in the coming weeks.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
The Supplement Strategy:
Since the substrate is still rich in base nutrients, I am only using specific BioBizz supplements to support root health and metabolic efficiency during this transition:
Root-Juice (4 ml/l): To ensure a massive root system for the upcoming explosive growth.
Acti-Vera (2 ml/l): Boosting the plant's natural immune system.
Bio-Heaven (2 ml/l): Helping with nutrient translocation and keeping the plant’s energy levels high.
Calmag (0.3 ml/l): A steady baseline to support the high metabolic rate under the Pure LED Q-V2.
Parameters:
pH: 7.0
Light Cycle: 18/6
Temp: 24°C
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Week 3 was the 'calm before the storm.' After topping her last week, I’m just letting her find her new rhythm. The IZI Seeds genetics are showing great stability and a very healthy response to the training. She’s building a solid foundation now. Next week, we start shaping the canopy! Keep it IZI 💚

CheeRz WEEK 4 - VEGETATION: Training Tensions & Emergency Recovery
🌿 CROP MANAGEMENT: PUSHING THE LIMITS
Growth Status:
It’s Week 4 of vegetation, and the Permanent Bluez is growing incredibly vigorously. The early topping has resulted in a very bushy, multi-branch structure. To keep the canopy even and ensure light reaches the lower nodes, I’ve intensified the LST and performed further defoliation.
The Injury & Recovery:
I made a silly mistake this week—I was a bit too aggressive while bending the branches for LST and hurt "Bluey" a little. I immediately provided emergency treatment by reducing tension and supporting the area. Fortunately, she seems to have recovered well and continues to grow with great vitality.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I am sticking to the supplement-heavy routine to support the plant through this high-stress training and recovery phase:
Root-Juice (4 ml/l): Maximizing root health to fuel the explosive top growth.
Acti-Vera (2 ml/l): Vital for the "emergency treatment" to help the plant heal the stem injury.
Bio-Heaven (2 ml/l): Providing the metabolic boost needed for recovery and rapid foliage development.
Calmag (0.3 ml/l): A steady baseline to prevent any deficiencies under the Pure LED Q-V2.
Parameters:
pH: 7.0
Height: 10 cm (kept low and wide through LST)
Light Cycle: 18/6
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Week 4 was a bit of a rollercoaster. Even though I caused a small injury during training, the resilience of these IZI Seeds genetics is impressive. She didn't slow down at all! The structure is now perfect for the upcoming flip to flower. Keep it IZI! 💚"

CheeRz WEEK 5 - FLOWERING: The Flip & Nutrient Transition
🌼 THE TRANSITION TO FLOWER
The Flip:
This week marks the official start of the flowering stage. The Permanent Bluez is currently 20 cm tall. She is staying compact and very bushy, which is a direct result of the topping in Week 2 and the consistent LST I've applied since then.
The Strategy:
The light cycle is now 12/12. I am expecting a healthy stretch during these first weeks of bloom. The plant's structure is robust, with the side branches well-positioned thanks to the red LST clips. The foliage is a vibrant, healthy green, showing she is perfectly primed for bud production.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
With the move into the flowering stage, I have updated the feeding schedule as follows:
Bio-Bloom (1 ml/l): Introduced for phosphorus and potassium.
Top-Max (1 ml/l): To stimulate flower production.
Fish-Mix (2 ml/l): To provide organic nitrogen for the early flowering stretch.
Acti-Vera (2 ml/l): For continued immune support.
Bio-Heaven (2 ml/l): To keep metabolic energy levels high.

🌼 FLOWERING UPDATE
Bud Development:
We are now in the heart of the flowering phase (Week 8 / Week 4 of Bloom). The Permanent Bluez is standing strong at 43 cm. The buds are swelling beautifully, and the trichome production is accelerating. The sweet berry aroma is getting much more intense.
💧Water Quality & Adjustment:
This week, I did a detailed check of my local tap water parameters. I discovered that the natural Calcium and Magnesium levels are significantly lower than required for a high-performance LED grow. To prevent any deficiencies during this critical swelling phase, I have adjusted my supplementation accordingly.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I have dialed in the nutrients precisely to support the plant's peak metabolic needs and compensate for the water values:
Bio-Bloom (3 ml/l): Increased to 3 ml/l to provide heavy phosphorus and potassium for the bud swelling phase.
Calmag (1.5 ml/l): Significantly increased to 1.5 ml/l to compensate for the soft tap water and support the plant under the Pure LED Q-V2.
Acti-Vera (4 ml/l): Maximum immune support and enzymatic activity.
Bio-Heaven (4 ml/l): Ensuring maximum energy availability for cell division.
Top-Max (1 ml/l): Supporting terpene and flower production.
Bio-Grow (1 ml/l): Maintaining the nitrogen baseline for leaf health.
Parameters:

CheeRz WEEK 9 - FLOWERING: Resin Production & Strategic Defoliation
🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS
Development:
We are now in Week 9 (Week 5 of Flowering). The Permanent Bluez is showing great consistency, maintaining a height of 43 cm. The buds are continuing to develop beautifully, and the "frost" is becoming much more intense as resin production kicks into high gear.
🌿 Environmental Shift:
The daytime temperature has risen slightly to 27°C. This warmth seems to be pushing the metabolic rate, as the plant is drinking and processing nutrients very efficiently. The aroma is slowly becoming more complex and pungent.
✂️ CROP MANAGEMENT: DEFOLIATION
To ensure that the lower bud sites get maximum light and to maintain optimal airflow during this critical phase, I performed a strategic defoliation this week. By removing some of the larger fan leaves that were shading the interior, I’m helping the plant focus its energy on the developing colas.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I am sticking with the high-performance nutrient routine established last week to support the swelling buds:
Bio-Bloom (3 ml/l): Heavy P-K support for mid-flowering.
Calmag (1.5 ml/l): Keeping the levels high to compensate for my soft tap water and support the LED intensity.
Acti-Vera (4 ml/l): For peak immune and enzyme support.
Bio-Heaven (4 ml/l): Maximizing nutrient uptake and plant energy.
Top-Max (1 ml/l): Enhancing terpene and floral development.
Bio-Grow (1 ml/l): Sustaining the green foliage.
Parameters:
pH: 6.5
Humidity (RH): 50%
Day Temp: 27°C
Night Temp: 21°C
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Entering the second half of bloom! The Permanent Bluez is looking fantastic. The strategic defoliation has really opened up the structure, and you can see the buds responding already. Keeping the nutrients stable at the higher levels is paying off—she’s green, frosty, and happy. The IZI Seeds quality is truly showing. Keep it IZI 💚"

CheeRz WEEK 10 - FLOWERING: Entering Peak Ripening
🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS
Bud Swelling:
We have entered Week 10 (Week 6 of Flowering), and the Permanent Bluez is prioritizing bud ripening. The flowers are swelling significantly, and the density is increasing. The structure is now fully established, showcasing the benefits of the early topping and LST. The resin production is intense, giving the buds a distinct 'sugar-coated' appearance.
📋 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL & VPD
This week, I am focusing on environmental precision to optimize metabolic activity without introducing stress:
Day Temp: 26.1°C
Humidity (RH): 51%
VPD: 1.66 kPa
By maintaining these parameters, I achieve a VPD of 1.66 kPa. This falls almost into the ideal range for late flowering (typically 1.2–1.6 kPa). A slightly higher VPD is beneficial at this stage as it maximizes nutrient transport while keeping the relative humidity low, which is crucial for prevent mold issues. The Pure LED Q-V2 is delivering the necessary light intensity without pushing the temperature too high.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I am maintaining the high-feed schedule to support the final swelling of the buds, as established in the log:
Calmag: 1.5 ml/l to prevent deficiencies under the intense light.
Acti-Vera: 5 ml/l to maximize immune and enzymatic support.
Bio-Heaven: 5 ml/l for maximal energy and nutrient uptake.
Bio-Bloom: 4 ml/l for phosphorus and potassium demands.
Top-Max: 5 ml/l to enhance terpene profile and flavor.
Bio-Grow: 1 ml/l for overall health.
Parameters:
pH: 6.5
Humidity (RH): 51%
Day Temp: 26.1°C
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Week 10 and we are in the home stretch! The Permanent Bluez is ripening beautifully. By dialing in the climate to 26.1°C and 51% RH, I've achieved a VPD of 1.66 kPa, which pushes the plant without over-stressing her. The IZI Seeds genetics are handling the high-intensity routine perfectly. Keep it IZI 💚"

CheeRz WEEK 11 - FLOWERING: Final Resin Peak
🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS
We have entered Week 11 (Week 7 of Flowering), and the Permanent Bluez is showing her full genetic potential. Even though she stayed very compact at 43 cm, the resin production is absolutely insane now. ❄️ The sugar leaves are completely covered in white frost, and the buds are starting to swell significantly under the heavy feeding schedule.
📋 ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
The environmental focus this week remains on maintaining a warm and dry climate to support the final hardening of the buds and to maximize trichome development. The day temperatures are averaging around 27°C with a relative humidity in the 45-50% range. These conditions are specifically chosen to prevent any moisture-related issues during the final ripening stage and to push the resin production to its limit.
👃 TERPENES & AROMA
The smell is becoming incredibly pungent this week. As the resin matures, the Permanent Bluez is developing a complex profile: a dominant, sharp gassy/diesel nose with a sweet berry undertone. Every time I open the tent, the aroma is overwhelming. The Top-Max is definitely doing its job in enhancing these heavy terpenes. ⛽🍇
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I am maintaining the high-feed schedule to support the final swelling of the buds:
Calmag: 1.5 ml/l to support metabolic functions.
Acti-Vera: 5 ml/l for ongoing immune support.
Bio-Heaven: 5 ml/l for nutrient uptake efficiency.
Bio-Bloom: 4 ml/l to meet final phosphorus and potassium demands.
Top-Max: 5 ml/l to boost terpene profile development.
Bio-Grow: 1 ml/l for underlying plant vigor.
Parameters:
pH: 6.5
Humidity (RH): 50%
Day Temp: 27°C
💭 GROWER'S NOTE
"Week 11 and the frost is real! ❄️ The smell is getting better every day, with those heavy gas and diesel notes really taking over. I'm keeping the environment warm and dry for the finish to ensure the highest possible resin quality and bud density. Quality over quantity, always! ☀️ Keep it IZI 💚"

CheeRz WEEK 13 - FLOWERING: Late Flowering Phase / Flush Start
🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS We are officially entering Week 13 (Week 9 of flowering). Environmental conditions are dialed in with a stable VPD of 1.69 kPa. The plant is responding perfectly, showing extreme resin production and dense flower development. The trichomes are looking mostly cloudy with some beautiful amber heads starting to appear. The plant’s structure remains extremely compact and sturdy under the LED.
👃 TERPENES & AROMA The aroma has evolved beautifully this week. The heavy fuel-like "Gas" scent has faded into the background, leaving a dominant profile of sweet berries with a distinct sour finish. It’s a very complex and refined smell that really highlights the Sour Bluez heritage.
💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING
I watered the plant yesterday (2nd April) with 1.7L of pure water, adjusted to a pH of 6.8 using citric acid. Last Monday (30th March) was the very last nutrient feeding (where I already cut out Bio-Grow). From now on, the plant will only receive pure, pH-regulated water to flush out any remaining salts and prepare it for a clean, smooth smoke. The focus is now entirely on a clean burn and white ash.
Current Feeding Schedule:
~~Citric acid: 1.2 ml/l~~

💭 GROWER'S NOTE Week 13 and the flush has officially begun! Maintaining a consistent VPD of 1.69 kPa to ensure maximum resin output while keeping the dense buds safe and healthy. The resin coating is so thick it covers even the larger sugar leaves, which are now showing a lovely dark purple/anthracite "fade". The plant is extremely compact and I'm very happy with how it’s ripening. Keep it IZI 💚
Visuals:
This phenotype grows as a compact, smaller plant, making it ideal for space-limited setups. The buds are characterized by a vibrant, light green coloration that looks fresh and "loud." A subtle but beautiful detail is the expression of delicate purple nuances, which appear strictly on the very tips of the bud structures (calyxes), creating a refined contrast against the bright green backdrop.
Aroma & Flavor:
The terpene profile is exceptionally consistent—it begins with a light berry sweetness, transitions into a refreshing sour tang on the mid-palate, and finishes with a heavy, lingering gas/fuel.
Resilience & Growth:
Despite its smaller stature, the plant is incredibly tough. It recovers remarkably well from physical stress or training injuries and shows high stability when exposed to dry environments or intense feeding schedules.

CheeRz FINAL HARVEST REPORT: Permanent Bluez (IZI Seeds)
🌼 SUMMARY OF THE JOURNEY
The cycle is complete. From a tiny seed to these resin-drenched, purple boulders, the Permanent Bluez has been a pleasure to grow. Despite a minor LST injury in the early stages, she bounced back with incredible vigor. She handled high VPD levels and a full BioBizz feeding schedule like a champion, staying vital and deep green until the final day.
❄️ THE HARVEST
Harvested at Day 70 of bloom. The buds are incredibly dense and heavy. The trichome coverage is top-tier – literally every millimeter is covered in "frost". The visual contrast between the anthracite-purple calyxes and the bright white resin is world-class.
👃 FINAL AROMA PROFILE
The scent is exactly what I hoped for: A dominant base of Sweet Berries with a sharp, Sour finish. The "Permanent Marker" funk is still lurking in the background, making it a very complex and exotic smelling harvest.
📊 TECHNICAL STATS
Total Time: 14 Weeks
Bloom Time: 10 Weeks
VPD at Finish: 1.69 kPa
Trichomes: 90% Cloudy / 10% Amber
💭 CLOSING THOUGHTS
A huge thanks to IZI Seeds for these amazing genetics. This strain is for anyone who wants high-end bag appeal combined with a robust and forgiving growth habit. I'm now moving into the drying phase (18°C / 60% RH) to preserve those precious terpenes. Final weight and smoke report coming soon! Keep it IZI 💚
