Dream Widow (DWC)

MontanaManMedical She’s getting big really quickly, as her growth rate continues to accelerate. So far she’s looking healthy. With such strong genetics, it’s no surprise. Blue Dream is a legend and White Widow is an OG legend.

MontanaManMedical She’s growing wider, as well as a little bit taller. Definitely the signs of a hybrid strain. I’m always curious about how strains like this end up stretching once they are in the flowering stage.

MontanaManMedical She’s growing really fast, with her width outpacing her height. The leaves look pretty healthy, with very little discoloration. I’m glad that I’m giving her more time in veg than the strawberry cough plant. I’m still curious how much she will stretch in flowering.

MontanaManMedical I kept the nutrients at the same strength, as she isn’t growing nearly as fast as Strawberry Cough. I had the inner container come dislodged from the bigger net pot. I tied down the smaller net pot to the bigger one using the same plastic coated wire I used before I got trellis nets. This should do the trick and something I’ll start doing from now on to keep this from happening again.

MontanaManMedical She’s gotten much healthier and bigger in the last week! I’ve removed some of the older fan leaves to make room for the branches under them. The newer leaves look wonderful. I’ll be putting her in the flowering tent next week as planned. If growth continues at this rate, she’ll likely be a heavy yielder.

MontanaManMedical I got this lady into the flowering tent just in time! It’s continuing to grow rapidly, with good overall color. I’m most curious how much this strain will stretch, at least at this point.

MontanaManMedical She’s stretched a decent amount for her first week. She’s significantly Sativa, so I’m hoping she’ll make it up past the second trellis net by a little bit. That will help ensure she gets her share of the light, as her sister has filled up her own side.

MontanaManMedical She’s just now passing through the top trellis net. I imagine that she still has a little stretch left in her, which should help the lower branches get closer to the top net. The leaves look really healthy and bud formation is starting.

MontanaManMedical I did some defoliation, in stages, a little after the photos were taken last week, in effort to minimize shock to the plant. She’s responded wonderfully, stretching rapidly, with her lower branches rapidly growing past the lower trellis net. The buds are already developing at a rapid pace, though there’s not much of a smell, even if one touches them.

MontanaManMedical She stretched just a little in the last week, so the development of the plant has been concentrated on the bud sites, which are exploding everywhere! You can already see her getting frosty and she still has 5 weeks to go. Wednesday will be halfway through flowering and she’s looking better than ever. Earlier in the week I re-calibrated my PH probe and discovered it was reading high by 0.5. This explains why Maui Waui got worse in flower, despite seemingly recovering in veg! I will re-calibrate the PH probe every 3 months from now on. That, combined with a little bit of defoliation to benefit the lower branches, resulted in a lot of stretch being redirected towards the lower branches, some of which have made it past the upper trellis net. What a great week!

MontanaManMedical She’s getting absolutely massive! It’s currently snowing outside, and that matches Dream Widow right now! 4 more weeks, but the size is already quite impressive. I’m still planning to let her go for 9 weeks.

MontanaManMedical Growth remains steady, though it has slowed down, with the existing buds looking like they’re starting to ripen. I’m sticking to my 9 weeks timeline, which means that this week is the last week of full strength nutrients. I’ll be reducing nutrients next week, along with trying out “Carboflush” from Lotus nutrients for the first time. I love what I get with their other nutrients, so I’m excited to see what this will do.

MontanaManMedical Just 2 weeks to go! I’ve reduced the nutrients as usual, with no more boost. I added the CarboFlush instead of CytoPlus like I used to use during flushing. I’m curious how much more sticky it’ll get because of the new addition.

MontanaManMedical We’re almost there! With just a week to go, she’s been given the last nutrients as she continues to get stickier. There’s still very little smell at this point. We’ll see what it’s like in a week and while it’s drying.

MontanaManMedical So excited to be able to harvest this strain. There’s almost no smell, which is unusual in my experience, and I’m going to be extra curious about what it ends up smelling like after drying and curing for a while. As stated earlier above, she was easy to trim, with a good bud to leaf ratio. She was also very dense and sticky. I’m looking forward to being able to sample her.
