Overall it was a pretty stable and quiet week. I continued with the feeding program and without bumping the nutrients up or around too much I'm kinda just on autopilot. I'm unsure how long this strain is supposed to go (pack says 70-80 days) so assuming that's close or correct I'm about half way which is pretty encouraging from all the production I've seen so far. GN #3 and #4 seem to be the frostiest out of all the ladies with GN #2 being the heaviest producer BY FAR (this plant is straight grenade nuggets, absolutely massive). I'm still waiting on GN#1 to really fill out as it is very visually behind the others in terms of production, but as it appears to be the most sativa of the bunch I could see it running for a couple more weeks so maybe that will offset the production. One thing I did notice with this strain and I'm not sure if it's because of the strain or just because I maybe messed up my veg/bloom transition phase but they sputtered out of Nitrogen right about mid week (week 5), I had thought I was dealing with a Phosphorus deficiency but I do believe it's actually Nitrogen as all the lower leaves are uniformly turning yellow while staying soft and not burning at the edges (similar to Mag), so for all future runs I'll definitely make sure to provide these ladies with a lot of N right out of the gate, hopefully this isn't compounded by the longer flower period.
Trichome Production (in order from highest to lowest production): GN #3 -> GN #4 -> GN #2 -> GN #1
Flower Production (in order from highest to lowest production): GN #2 -> GN #3 -> GN #4 -> GN #1
Sativa to Indica growth (in order from most Sativa leaning to most Indica leaning): GN #1 -> GN #3 -> GN #4 -> GN #2
Odor Strength (in order from strongest odor to least strongest odor): GN #4 -> GN #3 -> GN #2 -> GN #1
Odor Type: GN#1 - A bit of chem here, still waiting for it to really develop, definitely some sour notes though. GN #2 - STRONG chem genetics coming through, deep rotten sour smell, some hints of rubber ball. GN #3 - Incense/Berry odors, a mix of sharp and sweet that is hard to place (most like Golden's I've tried). GN #4 - PINESOL ALL THE WAY. My god this stuff reeeeeeks like pine chemical cleaner.
Overall though nothing too crazy going on for the mid flower update. Likely going to hit them with another feed on the next water then an organic brewed tea (with just some basics) to try and keep the good times rolling.
Thanks for checking out the grow, see you guys next week!
@RussianPetrol, thanks man , yea the batch of oil is very strong , I took just 1ml of oil at 4 in the afternoon the other day and was still laying in bed at 2 in the morning buzzing like a bee lol just couldn't sleep , lol best part is this batch I made a full 1 ltr of it so will last me a very long time I added one Oz per 1 cup of oil so it's a nice one for sure ,
Looking awesome. I just popped a few GPS seeds a couple weeks ago, 2 Dreamcatchers and 2 Chinook Haze. Good to see a few other diaries with their seeds. They appear to have stellar genetics.
@buddha61, That's awesome dude! Good luck with your grow. I have a pack of Dreamcatcher as well so if you're doing a journal for those I'll definitely check it out, I'm really interested to see how those come out for you. This is my first run with GPS seeds but so far I'm really enjoying it, they're absolute frost factories. I'll likely pop some more GPS next round so we'll hopefully get to see how just how stellar the genetics are!
