Straight water week. Kind of in autopilot a bit, just giving plain water pH'd water and monitoring the trichomes.
Almost all phenos seem like their gonna be between the breeders suggested 10-11 week window, with MAYBE the GN#1 going beyond that. I'd expect GN#3 to come down first as it is the furthest along, with GN#4 behind it and then GN#2 most likely
Overall the fade is going nicely, yellows are starting to creep in everywhere and take over. I have seem some purple coloration (which GPS seeds typically have from the Stardawg male) but nothing like what they're showing on the site (just an observation as I'm perfectly happy without any coloration), I believe this is due to the fact I couldn't bring down my temps to really encourage the color change. I was able to drop the water temp which has helped some, but overall my ambient air temps have remained the same through all weeks.
To get into the plant specifics...
ALL PLANTS HAVE SOLID TRICHOME PRODUCTION. These ladies are serious business when it comes to frostiness. I know I've said it in previous weeks as well, but they just keep stacking on the frost as we close out the weeks.
GN#1 -This plant continues to bulk up, absolutely the latest bloomer of the group though. The buds have an almost 'greenish-blue' like appearance under the trichomes and the colas definitely fill out more into a full branch than the pocket nugs of the other phenos. Very skunky and sweet smell that has gotten more complex over the weeks.
GN#2 - I'm quite confident that this will be the biggest yielder at this point. It really just puts the other phenos to shame in terms of production. The trichome production on this plant is also something truly special, it's really putting on the frost and is probably the 2nd frostiest pheno in the bunch. This pheno does have a nice musky smell, but the downside is it's the weakest smell of the bunch, though still probably able to fill a jar/bag without too much issue. This plant proves that finding the right pheno is hard stuff, as this plant is like 2/3 a keeper for sure.
GN#3 - The tropical skunk leaner...This plant seems to have a solid trichome blanket as well, but made with much smaller trichomes that seem less pronounced from a distance but up close just completely cover the buds. These buds smell sickly sweet and skunky, a much more focused sweet than the GN#1 which seems to bring out more of the skunk/musk with the fruit. This pheno smells like a fruit basket, not just a single fruit. I'm very excited to bring this plant down and I'm pretty confident it will be the first one down and could possibly be the best tasting of the bunch!
GN#4 - If we could plot this plants "smell" journey out, it would be VERY interesting in my opinion. This plant started off smelling 100% like pinesol, then kind of matured a bit to the point of smelling like model glue (somehow more offensive and acrid than Pinesol), then in the last couple days it has started to take on a fruit smell behind the acridness. It's a very interesting plant and easily has the best trichome production/coverage of all the phenos. I haven't had the chance to smoke any final product yet, but if I had to pick my keeper RIGHT NOW, it would be #4 for the absolutely stunning look of the buds with calyxes swelling and pouring out over each other, and a smell that absolutely knocks you off your feet.
Overall I think about 1.5 - 2 more weeks for these plants. Then we'll bring it down.
@RussianPetrol, thanks man , yea the batch of oil is very strong , I took just 1ml of oil at 4 in the afternoon the other day and was still laying in bed at 2 in the morning buzzing like a bee lol just couldn't sleep , lol best part is this batch I made a full 1 ltr of it so will last me a very long time I added one Oz per 1 cup of oil so it's a nice one for sure ,
Looking awesome. I just popped a few GPS seeds a couple weeks ago, 2 Dreamcatchers and 2 Chinook Haze. Good to see a few other diaries with their seeds. They appear to have stellar genetics.
@buddha61, That's awesome dude! Good luck with your grow. I have a pack of Dreamcatcher as well so if you're doing a journal for those I'll definitely check it out, I'm really interested to see how those come out for you. This is my first run with GPS seeds but so far I'm really enjoying it, they're absolute frost factories. I'll likely pop some more GPS next round so we'll hopefully get to see how just how stellar the genetics are!
