Terp_Turkey Do I have to say dear diary? It's been super cold in my basement. Really dry too. Don't have a humidifier in my veg tent so they suffer until I get the VPD going in the other tent. Survival of the dankest. Hopefully they don't get too stunted and can't root out enough for the 3 gallon pots. Have something underneath them so they aren't just on the basement floor. Wish me luck.

Terp_Turkey Dear diarrhea. This week I ghetto rigged my basement to be more insulated and it's much warmer especially when the lights are on. Monday it was well over 60 degrees in the tent. Sprayed them with lost coast plant therapy this week for a preventative measure. I have the same plants flowering in another tent and they are really beautiful. Smells like tropical fruit and floral in my tent. Rest in peace to my cousin Daniel who was a sweet and thoughtful person, car enthusist and chef. What a shame. Would have loved to share some of this weed with him. RIP

Terp_Turkey These guys got lucky and caught some VPD by coincidence this week. It's been warmer and raining so they got some humidity too. Saw that some bug nibbles on a leave so I sprayed the shit out of them again with lost coast plant therapy. Thinking of tying down the hive plant this week because it's like 6 inches taller than the maple root. Those plants are doing really well in flower in my other tent right now and I should only have a few weeks left on them so I'm getting excited. I'll try to figure out another way to take pictures so they don't look like this hopefully soon. Sorry about the lines lol.

Terp_Turkey This was the last week of out "heat wave," so this next week my basement will get colder again. I was thinking maybe breeders could send me their testers so I can torture their new cultivars in my basement. I tied The Hive plant to the fabric pot this week and put LST clips on the Maple Root. My other plants in the bigger tent are almost done and the Hive smells like tropical fruit, honey and floral. It is the biggest plant I've ever had in that tent and I'm excited to see how much I get. The Maple Root seems more earthy and nutty? It's in the back so I can't take a big whiff. One day I ripped a leaf off of it and it smelled like a fresh thing of diapers. So, maybe it's super funky idk.

Terp_Turkey I had to move these plants to a warmer location because it's so cold out I was afraid they were going to get too stunted in the basement. I super cropped The Hive and added more LST clips to the Maple Root plant. My little humidifier is broken so I'm hoping it catches some VPD by coincidence. I don't think I'll be able to super crop the Maple Root because the wood is so stiff and not plyable. Some bug nibbled on the Hive so I sprayed them with lost coast and an insecticidal soap.

Terp_Turkey They are doing better in the warmer room. The Maple Root got a bunch of side branches because of the way I trained it. The one I grew before didn't get any side branches because I don't realize the structure of the plant. The Hive is still recovering from being super cropped. Do you think I could transplant them soon???

Does anyone have a good strategy for defoliating the more leafy varieties when they start flowering? Is there a node to fan-leaf ratio you go for or can you just take off as much as you want to direct the energy to the bud sites?

You probably don't need those lower leaves and also leaves that are touching tent walls, and are not facing the lamp, as they are not contributing to photosynthesis, but plant spends energy on those leaves to keep them green and upright.

I like to leave as many peace as possible until day 15-21 of flower it varies depending on statin and how large the plant where when they were put into 12/12 light cycles. Smaller plants won’t flip to flower as quickly as larger more mature plants. Around day 15-21 i try to remove the lower leaves not getting direct sunlight. Always make sure to keep as many leaves as possible at this time only cut away what you need to cut away. Now later in flower when buds are really starting to fourm you can start to cut away more and more fan leaves I wouldn’t cut them all at the same time but by the end of flower you really don’t need that many fan leaves other than the ones at the top of branches

I would Take Out the damaged ones at first and If she's still too packed take of the ones causing bad airflow. But stretching her out a bit would work too. The more leaves you can keep the better!

I just harvested one that had a super low yield because I didn't defoliate enough:(
