Sour Diesel & Mimosa x Orange Punch

Katzi 04/01/26 Time to transplant. Two 15L pots were filled with roughly 60% Plagron Bio Light Mix and 40% perlite. Each pot got 75g of STARTREX, 5g of MYCOTREX directly into the planting hole, and two slow-release fertilizer tablets placed about 10cm above the bottom of the pot. Following the Autopot instructions, I fully saturated the pots with water and let them drain for about 20 minutes. After that, I added another 1L of water mixed with 1g BACTREX and 10ml ORGATREX per pot. Looking back, this was probably a bit much for such young seedlings. Oh well, onward we go. Unfortunately, I’m also dealing with a small fungus gnat infestation from my houseplants. Despite taking precautions, they managed to sneak in during the transplant process. Looks like nematodes will be in my future. Wish me luck _______________________ 04/01/26 Zeit zum umtopfen. Gefüllt wurden zwei 15L Töpfe mit ca. 60% Plagron Bio Lightmix und 40% Perlite. Dazu jeweils 75g STARTEX, 5g MYCROTEX ins Planzenloch und 10cm vom Topfboden entfernt 2 Langzeitdünger-Tabletten. Rückblicken betrachtet wohl alles etwas viel für die noch zu jungen Sämlinge. Egal, weiter gehts. Leider kämpfe ich mit einer kleinen Trauermückenplage bei meinen Zimmerpflanzen. Trotz Vorsichtsmaßnahmen haben sie es geschafft sich in den Umtopfprozess einzuschleichen. Das spricht für einen zukünftigen Nematoden Einsatz, wünscht mir Glück.

Katzi 11/01/26 Both plants seem to be slowly bouncing back and are starting to show stable growth. The Mimosa x Orange Punch is staying a bit lower compared to the Sour Diesel. I haven’t added any additional water up to this point. Because the tent is located in my bedroom, humidity at night can spike up to 75%. Still seems to be within a reasonable range for now. Thoughts about moving the setup to the attic are getting louder. I’m planning to relocate the tent before setting up the ScrOG net and committing to the final layout. _______________________ 11/01/26 Die beiden scheinen sich langsam zu fangen und eine stabilen Wuchs zu entwickeln. Die Mimosa X Orange Punch wächst etwas flacher als die Sour Diesel. Wasser habe ich bis dahin noch nicht dazu gegeben. Durch meinen Schlafzimmer Standort habe ich Nachts hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit von bis zu 75%. Aber sollte noch alles im Rahmen sein. Überlegungen zu einem Umzug auf den Dachboden werden lauter. Ich denke kurz von dem Einsatz des ScrOG- Netzes werde ich das Zelt an einen neuen Standort aufbauen.

Katzi 19/01/26 Another small update. Both plants are doing great and handled the topping without any issues. In the meantime, I treated myself to an AC Infinity Cloudforge T3 to better unlock the potential of my setup. And what can I say, the VPD-based automation between 0.8 kPa and 0.9 kPa works flawlessly. I’m hoping that once they move up to the attic, I’ll also get nighttime humidity under control. Until then, I’ll keep things as they are, seems to be working just fine :) 17/01/26 Yesterday I watered each plant with 4 liters of tap water. Since both look healthy and strong, it was time to bring out the guillotine. I just hope the cut wasn’t too close to the two main shoots. Time will tell. 14/01/26 Here we go, my friends! Both plants are clearly enjoying themselves and are getting noticeably bushier every day. They’re also looking healthy overall, at least to my eyes. What do you think? In a few days, I’ll probably top them after the 4th node. _______________________ 19/01/26 Nochmal kleines Update. Beide sind wohlauf und haben das Toppen gut weg gesteckt. Zwischenzeitlich habe ich mir noch einen AC Infinite Cloudforge T3 gegönnt um das Potential meines Set Ups besser nutzen zu können. Und was soll ich sagen. Die Automation nach dem VPD Wert zwischen 0,8kPA und 0,9kPA funktioniert tadellos. Ich hoffe, wenn die Beiden auf den Dachboden gezogen sind, bekomme ich die Luftfeuchtigkeit in der Nacht auch in den Griff. Bis dahin geht es so weiter, scheint zu funktionieren :) 17/01/26 Gestern habe ich jeweils 4Liter Leitungswasser gegossen. Da beide einen gesunden und starken Eindruck machen wird die Guillotine ausgepackt. Ich hoffe der Schnitt war nicht zu nah an den beiden Trieben. Abwarten. 14/01/26 Es geht los meine Freunde! Beide haben Bock und wachsen jeden Tag erkennbar buschiger. Auch machen sie einen gesunden Eindruck, oder wie seht ihr das? In ein paar Tagen werde ich sie wohl nach der 4. Nodie Toppen.

Katzi 25/01/26 Both plants have recovered well from the topping. I’ve also started removing a few of the first leaves to improve airflow and overall air access within the canopy. The Autopot system is still not running, as I’ll be moving the plants up to the attic in a few days. Sour Diesel continues to stretch more vertically, while the Mimosa x Orange Punch stays shorter and bushier. _______________________ 25/01/26 Beide haben das toppen gut überstanden. Außerdem habe ich angefangen die ersten Blätter zu entfernen, um eine ausreichende Erreichbarkeit der Luft zu gewährleisten. Autopot ist noch nicht am laufen, da ich die Pflanzen erst in ein paar Tagen auf den Dachboden verfrachten werde. Nach wie vor wächst die Sour Diesel mehr in die Höhe, als die Mimose X Orange Punch.

Katzi 31/01/26 I wasn’t fully happy with the ScrOG net situation after all. The gaps on the sides were too large, and the mesh openings themselves were a bit too wide. So I got creative and modified the net using a wick from my last grow experiment and some plant wire. I’m pretty happy with the modification :) I also pushed another Biotab into the substrate for each plant, since the veg phase is already in its third week. Now it’s really time to give the ladies a few days of peace. If the grow continues like this, I might switch to flower in about a week. We’ll see :) 28/01/26 The move is done. The entire tent is no longer in the bedroom and has been relocated to the attic. This has definitely improved the relative humidity situation :) The Autopot system is now up and running as well. I did another round of defoliation. Unfortunately, I don’t own a proper ScrOG net. The coarse, elastic net I’m using is actually meant for plant support, but I’ll give it a try anyway. I installed the net at the height of the Mimosa x Orange Punch canopy, roughly 25cm above the pot. The Sour Diesel was guided into the net, bringing both plants back to the same height. Now I’ll give them a few days to recover and see how they respond. _______________________ 31/01/26 Ich war mit der ScrOG Netz Situation dann doch nicht so zufrieden. Zu große Lücken an den Seiten und zu große Öffnungen. Also war ich kreativ und habe das Netz mit einem Docht aus meinem letzten Grow Experiment und etwas Pflanzendraht angepasst. Bin ziemlich happy mit der Modifikation :) Zusätzlich habe ich jeder Pflanze einen weiteren Biotab ins Substrat gedrückt, da die VEG nun schon in der dritten Woche ist. Jetzt aber wirklich ein paar Tage Ruhe für die Damen. Wenn der Grow so weiter läuft, werde ich möglicherweise in etwa einer Woche auf Blüte umstellen. Mal sehen :) 28/01/26 Der Umzug ist vollbracht. Das komplette Zelt steht nun nicht mehr im Schlafzimmer, sondern auf dem Dachboden. Dies verbessert die Situation der relativen Luftfeuchte zum positiven :) Das Autopot System ist nun auch erfolgreich in Betrieb genommen. Ich habe noch ein weiteres mal entlaubt. Leider besitze ich kein echtes ScrOG Netz. Das grobmaschige elastische Netz hat eigentlich den Zweck der Stabilisierung, jedoch werde ich es trotzdem versuchen. Das Netz habe ich auf Kopfhöhe der MxOP installiert, ca. 25cm. Die SD habe ich in das Netz geflechtet, somit haben beide Pflanzen wieder die selbe Höhe. Jetzt lassen wir den beiden erstmal ein paar Tage Zeit zur Erholung.

Katzi 08/02/26 The Sour Diesel seems to have handled the snapped branch very well and is filling the net much more densely than the Mimosa x Orange Punch. The latter has grown noticeably more compact and is only lightly woven into the net, while the Sour Diesel grew taller and wider, filling the ScrOG net far more. Overall, I’m happy with the canopy density and both plants look healthy in general. Thanks to the Autopots combined with Biotabs, this has been a very relaxed grow so far, mostly limited to tasks that are actually fun (ScrOGging!). The entire exhaust and circulation setup with the AC Infinity controller also leaves a very solid, high-quality impression. Combined with the humidifier, I can automate everything based on VPD, which is a really nice and insightful setup to work with. And since everything feels right at this point, I’ll be initiating flower tomorrow and switching to 12/12. I’m curious to see how different the stretch will be between the two plants and how well I can keep the buds at an even height! 03/02/26 I was probably a bit too impatient and went a little too hard when pulling the branches down. One main branch of the Mimosa x Orange Punch snapped, but it’s still alive. Unfortunately, I was only able to patch it up a day later. It looks okay so far, even if it’s obviously not ideal. Still, it seems to be moving on and recovering. Over the next few days I’ll mostly let them recover and watch how the canopy fills in. Depending on how things look, this might be the final stretch of veg before the flip. The first indoor grow is all about gaining experience anyway :) __________________ 08/02/26 Die SD scheint das Abbrechen des Triebes gut überstanden zu haben und füllt das Netz viel dichter aus, als die MXOP. Letztere ist eindeutig kompakter gewachsen und nur leicht im Netz eingeflechtet, während die SD höher und breiter gewachsen ist und somit das ScrOG Netz viel mehr ausfüllt. Insgesamt bin ich mit der Dichte des Netzes zufrieden und generell machen beide Pflanzen einen gesunden Eindruck! Dank der Autopots in Kombination mit den Biotabs habe ich bisher einen sehr entspannten Grow, der sich fast ausschließlich auf Tätigkeiten beschränkt, die Spaß machen (Scroggen!). Auch macht das ganze Ab- und Umluftsystem mit dem AC Infinity Controller einen sehr guten und hochwertigen Eindruck. In Kombination mit dem Luftbefeuchter kann ich nach VPD Wert automatisieren. Sehr schöne und einsichtsvolle Angelegenheit! Und da sich bis jetzt alles richtig anfühlt, wird ab Morgen die Blüte eingeleitet und auf 12/12 umgestellt! Ich bin gespannt auf den wahrscheinlich unterschiedlichen Stretch beider Pflanzen und wie sehr ich die Blüten auf eine Höhe bekomme! 03/02/26 Ich war wohl etwas zu ungeduldig und habe es beim runterbringen der Triebe etwas übertrieben. Ein Haupttrieb der MXOP ist gebrochen, aber noch am Leben. Ich habe den leider erst einen Tag später verarzten können. Sieht soweit gut aus, auch wenn es natürlich nicht optimal ist. Jedoch scheint es weiter zu gehen. In den nächsten Tagen lasse ich ihnen Zeit zur Regeneration und schaue wie sich das Netz füllt. Je nachdem, wie es ausschaut könnte das der letzte Wachstum der Veg sein, bevor ich die Blüte einleite. Der erste Indoor Grow ist zum Sammeln von Erfahrung da da :)

Katzi 15/02/26 The last day of the first week of flower. Both plants still look very healthy overall. The Sour Diesel has clearly picked up speed and is right in the middle of the stretch. The Mimosa x Orange Punch, on the other hand, remains compact and is lagging behind in vertical growth. Next week I’ll probably try to elevate the MxOP a bit to compensate for the height difference and even out the canopy. 11/02/26 We’re at day 3 of flower. Both plants have become quite dense by now, so I slightly increased the intake and exhaust power since the canopy is getting pretty thick in some areas. I’m keeping an eye on proper airflow and will wait until week 3 of flower before doing any lollipopping. During the dark phase, temperatures have been regularly dropping below 18°C, so I decided to install a heating mat afterwards. It was a pretty fiddly operation since I couldn’t remove the pots from the tent due to the ScrOG net. Still, I’m very happy with the result. The setup is as follows: 10mm cork board for insulation on the bottom → heating mat → metal grid → pots. The mat isn’t exposed to mechanical stress because the grid is slightly elevated. This should ensure that the organic nutrients from BioTabs can function properly. Over and out. ____________________________ 15/02/26 Der letzte Tag der ersten Blütewoche. Die beiden machen weiterhin einen sehr gesunden Eindruck. Die SD hat schon deutlich an Wachstum zugelegt und ist eindeutig mitten im Stretch. Die MxOP bleibt weiterhin kompakt und bleibt beim Wachstum hinterher. Ich werde wohl dann nächste Woche versuchen die MxOP aufzubocken, damit ich die unterschiedlichen Größen etwas ausgleichen kann. 11/02/26 Wir befinden uns an BT3. Beide Planzen sind mittlerweile gut dicht gewachsen, weshalb ich die Um- und Abluftleistung etwas erhöht habe, da das Blätterdach stellenweise ziemlich dicht bewachsen ist. Ich achte auf genug Abluft und gedulde mich noch bis BW3 bis ich lollipoppe. Da in der Dunkelphase die Temperaturen regelmäßig unter 18°C sinken habe ich mich dazu entschieden nachträglich eine Heizmatte zu installieren. War eine sehr fummelige Angelegenheit, da ich die Töpfe aufgrund des ScrOG Netzes nicht aus dem Zelt nehmen konnte. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich jedoch sehr zufrieden. Der Aufbau ist wie folgt: Am Boden eine 10mm Korkplatte zur Isolation - Heizmatte - Metallgitter - Töpfe. Die Matte erfährt keine mechanische Belastung, weil ich das Gitter auf Abstand gesetzt habe. Diese Maßnahme sollte sicherstellen das der organische Dünger der BioTabs auch ordnungsgemäß funktionieren kann. Over and Out.

Katzi 19/02/26 In my opinion, both plants are doing great. They look healthy, show strong growth, and are drinking plenty of water. This week I added 10ml of BioTabs Bio PK 5-8 per liter of water for each plant. Due to the height difference, I decided to elevate the Mimosa x Orange Punch a bit. My guitar footrest has finally found its true purpose :) The nice thing about this solution is that I can easily adjust the height further if needed 8) Unfortunately, the Mimosa x Orange Punch no longer benefits much from the heating mat, but I guess you can’t have everything. Next week it’s finally time for lollipopping. The tent is slowly getting crowded. Until then, I’ll just let them keep growing and make sure airflow stays on point. _______________________ 19/02/26 Den beiden geht es meiner Einschätzung nach prächtig. Sie sehen gesund aus, zeigen ein starkes Wachstum und trinken ordentlich Wasser. In dieser Woche habe ich jeweils 10ml in 1L Wasser Bio PK 5-8 von Bio Tabs dazugegeben. Aufgrund der ungleichen Größe habe ich mich dazu entschieden die Mimosa X Orange Punch etwas aufzubocken. So hat meine Gitarren Fußbank nun auch ihren existenziellen Sinn gefunden :) Charmant an der Lösung ist, dass ich bei Bedarf noch etwas erhöhen kann 8) Leider profitiert somit die Mimosa X Orange Punch somit nicht mehr so wirklich von der Heizmatte, aber man kann wohl nicht alles haben. Nächste Woche gehts endlich ans lollipoppen! Langsam wird es eng im Zelt. Bis dahin lassen wir einfach weiter wuchern und achten auf einen ausreichenden Luftaustausch.

Katzi 26/02/26 Small update. The two ladies have obviously recovered well and seem to have handled the radical haircut just fine. Flowering is now in full swing for both of them :) 23/02/26 It’s the beginning of week 3 of flower and lollipopping was due. Both plants had become extremely dense with a lot of foliage, and I was starting to worry about proper air circulation. I also raised the Mimosa x Orange Punch another notch to balance out the Sour Diesel’s stretch. I definitely went a bit overboard with the defoliation :D At some point I couldn’t see the forest for the leaves anymore. Still, considering the stress, they actually look pretty happy. I’ll keep a closer eye on any signs of herming, just to be safe. I also added 1g of Bactrex and 20ml of Orgatrex per liter of water for each plant. Now it’s time to give them some peace and hope for a healthy comeback. ______________________ 26/02/26 kleine Update. Die beiden Damen haben sich offensichtlich gut erholt und scheinen den radikal kurzen Haarschnitt gut verkraftet zu haben. Bei Blüte ist bei beiden in vollem Gange :) 23/02/26 Es ist Anfang der Blütewoche 3 und es steht das lollipopping an. Die beiden sind sehr dicht gewachsen und haben sehr viel Blattwerk entwickelt, sodass ich mir auch schon etwas Sorgen um eine ausreichende Luftumwälzung gemacht habe. Auch habe ich die Mimosa X Orange Punch eine Stufe höher gestellt um den Stretch der Sour Diesel auszugleichen. Ich habe eindeutig etwas übertrieben beim entlauben :D Im Prozess habe ich wohl den Wald lauter Blätter nicht mehr gesehen :D Für diese stressige Aktion sehen sie jedoch eigentlich ganz happy aus. Ich werde verstärkt auf Zwitter Anzeichen achten müssen. Sonst habe ich noch jeweils 1g Bactrex und 20ml Orgatrex in einem Liter Wasser hinzugegeben. Lassen wir den beiden etwas Ruhe und hoffen auf ein gesundes Comeback.

Katzi 02/03/26 We’ve reached day 22 of flower. The ladies are doing great! Both handled the lollipopping without any issues and are pushing out plenty of leaves. I’m hoping the stretch is mostly over by now, even though I still have a little headroom left. Both plants are clearly focused on bud development and have started producing resin. The Sour Diesel definitely seems to be pushing a bit harder :) The smell is still manageable but clearly noticeable. The Sour Diesel has now reached 90cm in height, while the Mimosa x Orange Punch is sitting just under 50cm. Thanks to my guitar footrest, I’ve been able to balance the height difference quite well. The two main tops of the Sour Diesel are still sticking above the general canopy, but I’m not too worried as long as I don’t see any signs of light stress. I also insulated the space under the elevated pot with felt to retain the heat from the heating mat. Seems to be working nicely :) Today they each received another 10ml of Bio PK 5-8. So far, I’m very happy with the Autopot and BioTabs combination. When it comes to feeding and watering, this has been a very relaxed grow. It really allowed me to focus on the individual traits of both plants and already learn a lot for the next run :) __________________________________ 02/03/26 Wir haben Blütetag 22 erreicht. Den Damen geht es blendend! Das Lollipopping haben beide locker weg gesteckt und lassen ordentlich die Blätter wachsen. Ich hoffe der Stretch hat mittlerweile ein Ende, auch wenn ich noch ein klein wenig Luft nach oben habe. Beide sind sichtbar mit der Blütenbildung beschäftigt und haben mit der Harzbildung begonnen. Die Sour Diesel macht den Eindruck etwas mehr Gas zu geben. :) Geruch hält sich noch im Rahmen, aber deutlich wahrnehmbar. Die Sour Diesel ist mittlerweile 90cm hoch gewachsen und die Mimosa X Orange Punch bringt es auf knapp 50cm. Mit meiner Gitarren Fußbank konnte ich den Unterschied jedoch ganz gut ausgleichen! Die beiden Haupttriebe der Sour Diesel schauen trotzdem über das allgemeine Blätterdach, was ich aber für nicht so schlimm halte, solange ich keine Anzeichen für Lichtbrand erkennen kann. Auch habe ich den Raum unter dem aufgebockten Topf mit Filz isoliert, um die Wärme der Heizmatte aufzufangen. Scheint auch gut zu funktionieren :) Heute gab es nochmal jeweils 10ml Bio PK 5-8. Bis jetzt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit den Autopot - Bio Tabs Kombination. Was das Düngen und bewässern angeht ist es bisher ein sehr entspannter Grow! Ich konnte mich voll auf die Eigenheiten der beiden Pflanzen konzentrieren und schon einiges lernen für das nächste mal :)

Katzi 09/03/26 We’ve reached day 29 of flower. The ladies are developing beautifully and together they’re producing a really nice fruity, lemony aroma. Both plants look healthy, are forming nice resinous buds, and are happily praying to the artificial sun. The leaf color also looks good to me, although the Sour Diesel is showing a slightly lighter shade of green. The two main tops of the Sour Diesel got a bit too tall, so I tied them down slightly using some plant wire to create a more even canopy. It’s obviously not perfect, but considering the very different growth patterns (the Sour Diesel is basically twice the size of the Mimosa x Orange Punch!) I managed to create a fairly even canopy overall. I’m hoping the stretch is finally over now. We’ll see in the next update :) _________________________ 09/03/26 Wir haben Blütetag 29. Die Damen entwickeln sich wunderbar und produzieren einen wirklich fruchtig zitronigen Duft in ihrer Kombination. Beide machen einen gesunden Eindruck, bilden schöne harzige Blüten und beten die künstliche Sonne an! Auch die Blätterfarbe sieht für mich gesund aus, wobei die Sour Diesel ein minimal helleres grün an den Tag legt. Die beiden Haupttriebe der Sour Diesel sind mir etwas über den Kopf gewachsen. Ich habe sie mit Hilfe von Pflanzendraht etwas untergebunden um ein gleichmäßigeres Blätterdach zu erzeugen. Es ist natürlich nicht perfekt, jedoch muss ich sagen, dass ich trotz des stark unterschiedlichen Wachstums (Die Sour Diesel ist doppelt so groß, wie die Mimosa X Orange Punch!) ein relativ homogenes Blätterdach gezaubert habe. Ich hoffe der Stretch hat nun ein Ende. Ob es so ist, seht ihr beim nächsten Update :)

Katzi 16/03/26 We’ve reached day 35 of flower. The ladies look healthy and happy and are spreading a really pleasant fruity aroma. The Mimosa x Orange Punch in particular has a very sweet and fruity smell that’s honestly pretty delicious. I’m really curious to see how that one turns out :) Today they each received another 10ml of Bio PK 5-8 in 1L of water. For that, I close the valve of the Autopot system for about two days to create some room for the nutrient solution. That method works very well. In general, I’m still very impressed with how well the Autopots and BioTabs work together. Both plants have shown no deficiencies so far and are constantly praying to the artificial sun. A very relaxed grow overall. My main priority now is keeping the humidity below 55%. Luckily that works quite well even without a dehumidifier. Due to the slightly lower temperatures, VPD fluctuates around 0.8–0.9 kPa during the dark phase and around 1.0–1.2 kPa during lights on. Since the relative humidity usually stays below 55%, that’s perfectly fine for me :) __________________________ 16/03/26 Wir haben Blüte Tag 35. Die Damen sehen gesund und munter aus und verbreiten einen wirklich angenehm fruchtigen Duft. Besonders die Mimosa X Orange Punch hat einen wirklich leckeren süßen und fruchtigen Duft. Da bin ich sehr gespannt! :) Heute gab es nochmal jeweils 10ml Bio PK 5-8 in 1L Wasser. Dazu schließe ich das Ventil am Autopot System für zwei Tage um etwas Platz für die Nähstofflösung zu schaffen. Das funktioniert sehr gut. Generell bin ich immer noch begeistert von der Funktionsweise der Autopots und der BioTabs. Beide Damen haben bis jetzt keine Mängel gezeigt und sind stets die künstliche Sonne am anbeten. Wirklich entspannt. Priorität ist jetzt die Luftfeuchte unter 55% zu halten. Das funktioniert zum Glück auch ganz gut ohne Luftentfeuchter. Aufgrund der etwas niedrigen Temperaturen schwankt die VPD in der Dunkephase irgendwo um die 0,8-0,9kP und in der Lichtphase 1,0-1,2 kP. Da die relative Luftfeuchte normalerweise nicht über 55% steigt reicht mir das jedoch aus :)

Katzi 24/03/26 We’ve now reached day 43 of flower, which puts us in week 7. Last week was the final feeding, so from here on it’s mostly a waiting game. The buds are still developing nicely, and especially the Mimosa x Orange Punch is getting quite frosty :) VPD sits around 0.8–1.0 kPa during the dark phase and about 1.1–1.25 kPa with lights on. Relative humidity is now consistently in the 45–50% range, which I’d say are pretty solid numbers for my setup. The plants seem comfortable and show no signs of deficiencies. The smell has definitely intensified, though it’s still in a moderate range. The anticipation is building :) _____________________________________ 24/03/26 Wir haben mittlerweile BT43 und sind somit in Woche 7 der Blüte angelangt. Wir haben in der letzten Woche, das letzte mal Dünger hinzugefügt und nun heißt es warten. Die Blüten sind weiterhin am wachsen und besonders bei der Mimosa X Orange Punch wird es schön frosty :) VPD liegt so in der Dunkelphase zwischen 0,8-1,0 kP und während der Lichtphase zwischen 1,1-1,25 kP. Dabei ist die relative Luftfeuchte mittlerweile Dauerhaft im Bereich 45-50%. Also ganz passable Werte für mein Set up würde ich sagen. Die Damen scheinen sich jedenfalls wohl zu fühlen und zeigen keine Anzeichen von irgendwelchen Mängeln. Die beiden riechen mittlerweile etwas stärker, jedoch noch im moderaten Bereich. Die Vorfreude wächst :)

Katzi 31/03/26 It’s day 50 of flower for the two ladies. We’re moving further into the final stretch: The Mimosa x Orange Punch will probably need another one to two weeks, while the Sour Diesel might take another three to four weeks. From here on, it’s water only. The MXOP is now giving off an increasingly strong sweet and fruity aroma, which really builds anticipation :) The buds on the Sour Diesel, which were a bit behind in density before, have gained some volume over the past week. Seems like there’s still more to come there 8) The Sour Diesel has been forming large buds from the start, and with plenty of white pistils still present, they’re clearly continuing to bulk up. On the MXOP, I suspect a slight to moderate nitrogen excess. The leaves are a darker shade of green and not quite as upright as those of the Sour Diesel. That said, it seems manageable, as there are no burnt tips visible. From this week on, I’ll start checking the trichomes on the MXOP. Over and out :) ________________________________ 31/03/26 Es ist Blütetag 50 für die beiden Damen. Wir bewegen uns weiter auf die Zielgeraden zu: Die Mimosa X Orange Punch wird sicherlich noch ein bis zwei Wochen brauchen und die Sour Diesel weitere drei bis vier Wochen. Es gibt weiterhin nur Wasser. Die MXOP verbreitet mittlerweile einen immer stärkeren süßlich, fruchtigen Geruch, der meine Vorfreude wachsen lässt :) Auch die Buds, welche der SD etwas an Dichte hinterher hingen, haben in der letzten Woche etwas Volumen zugenommen. Hier geht anscheinend noch was 8) Die SD bildete von Anfang an große Blüten, welche auch ,offensichtlich durch die noch weißen Pistillen, weiter an Volumen zunehmen :) Bei der MXOP vermute ich einen leichten bis moderaten Stickstoffüberschuss. Die Blätter haben eine dunkelgrüne Farbe und stehen nicht ganz so aufrecht, wie bei der SD. Ich denke der Überschuss ist jedoch überschaubar, da keine verbrannten Spitzen zu erkennen sind. Ab dieser Woche werde ich anfangen mir die Trichome der MXOP anzusehen. over and out :)

Katzi 07/04/2026 Day 57 of flower, my friends. First, the Sour Diesel: she obviously still needs some time (breeder says 70–75 days of flower). She’s still showing a lot of white pistils. That said, she has already developed some nice chunky buds and seems to keep stacking calyxes. The smell is pleasantly fruity and lemony. Some lower leaves have started to yellow, and a few leaves at the top are turning purple. I’d attribute that to the “autumn” phase kicking in. Patience is key here. The Mimosa x Orange Punch is further along overall (breeder says 55–60 days of flower). The buds have thickened up a bit over the past week, although they’re noticeably smaller than those of the Sour Diesel. Probably a result of excess nitrogen. On the other hand, they are beautifully frosty and have developed an intense, almost heavy sweet and fruity aroma. I’m really looking forward to the taste on this one :) Most of the pistils on top are no longer white, but they’re still sticking out from the buds. The trichomes are mostly clear to milky, with barely any amber. So I’d say she needs at least another 5 days. One thing I’ll definitely do better next time is lollipopping/defoliation. The lower half developed quite a few small popcorn buds since I wasn’t thorough enough there. Do you think a partial harvest makes sense in this case? Harvesting the top buds first and leaving the lower two-thirds to mature a bit longer? They still look somewhat underdeveloped. Maybe they’ll bulk up a bit more so trimming them is actually worth it? __________________________ 07/04/2026 Blütetag 57, meine Freunde. Zunächst die Sour Diesel: Braucht offensichtlich noch etwas Zeit (laut Breeder 70-75 Tage Blüte). Immer noch weiße Pistillen. Sie hat jedoch bereits schön dicke Buds entwickelt und produziert anscheinend immer noch Blütenkelche. Geruch ist schön fruchtig/zitronig. Einzelne Blätter im unteren Bereich haben sich gelb verfärbt und oben verfärben sich einige Blätter lila. Das schreibe ich mal dem aufkommenden Herbst zu. Hier ist weiter Geduld angesagt! Die Mimosa X Orange Punch ist insgesamt weiter! (laut Breeder 55-60 Tage Blüte). Die Buds sind in der letzten Woche etwas dicker geworden, jedoch deutlich kleiner als die der Sour Diesel. Wahrscheinlich eine Folge des Stickstoffüberschusses. Dafür sind diese wirklich schön frostig und haben einen intensiven und mittlerweile schon schweren, süßlich- fruchtigen Duft. Auf den Geschmack freue ich mich bereits besonders! :) Die Pistillen sind oben eigentlich alle nicht mehr weiß, aber stehen noch von den Buds ab. Die Trichome sind noch klar bis milchig. Bernstein sehe ich kaum. Von daher sage ich, die Gute braucht noch mindestens 5 Tage. Was ich beim nächsten mal definitiv besser machen möchte, ist das lollipoppen/ entlauben. In der unteren Hälfte sind relativ viele kleine Popcorn Buds entstanden, weil ich da nicht gründlich genug gearbeitet habe. Denkt ihr in dem Fall macht eine Teilernte Sinn? Erst die oberen Buds und die Blüten der unteren beiden Drittel noch stehen lassen? Diese machen einen noch unfertigen Eindruck. Vielleicht werden die unteren Blüten dadurch etwas dicker, damit sich das trimmen auch lohnt?

Katzi 13/04/26 Day 63 of flower for the two ladies. The “autumn” phase is progressing further for both of them. The Sour Diesel is already pulling nutrients from its fan leaves, while still continuing to stack new calyxes. The buds have become nicely sized and look fairly dense overall. My crystal ball says about two more weeks! The Mimosa x Orange Punch is entering its final stage and is dominating the tent with its heavy, sweet and fruity aroma. The buds have noticeably bulked up again and are completely covered in frost. Really excited about this one :) The trichomes on the upper buds are roughly around 15% clear, 5% amber, and 80% milky. I’ll check them again in two days and then decide on the harvest. I’d say it’ll be ready within the next 2–5 days. Overall, the plant looks beautiful, especially the upper part, which has developed a really nice deep purple color. Kind of a shame the contrast doesn’t fully show because of the limited space. _________________________________ 13/04/26 Blütetag 63 für die beiden Damen. Bei beiden schreitet der Herbst weiter voran. Die Sour Diesel zieht bereits Nährstoffe aus ihren Segelblättern, bildet dabei jedoch immer noch neue Blütenkelche. Die Buds sind schön groß geworden und sehen insgesamt auch ziemlich dicht aus! Meine Glaskugel sagt zwei Wochen noch! Die Mimosa X Orange Punch ist in ihren letzten Zügen und dominiert das Zelt mit ihrem schweren süßlich- fruchtigen Geruch! Die Blüten sind nochmal merklich größer geworden und komplett mit Frost bedeckt. Da bin ich sehr gespannt drauf! :) Die Trichome sind oben an Blüten so über den Daumen gepeilt zu 15% klar, 5% Bernstein und zu 80 % milchig. Ich werde in zwei Tagen nochmal die Trichome prüfen und dann über die Ernte entscheiden. Ich denke in den nächsten 2 - 5 Tagen wird es soweit sein! Allgemein sieht die Pflanze wirklich schön aus - der obere Teil ist richtig schön dunkel violett. Schade, dass der Kontrast aufgrund des begrenzten Platzes nicht so zur Geltung kommt.

Katzi 17/04/26 After 67 days of flower, I swung the axe and harvested the Mimosa x Orange Punch. Overall, she turned out nicely frosty with a promising sweet and fruity aroma, even though the yield will probably end up somewhere in the mid range. That said, she had pretty limited space due to her neighbor, the Sour Diesel. In the end, she reached a height of about 50cm. Since I only have one tent for both growing and drying, she’ll be spending the next 10–14 days in my no-frost fridge at around 7°C. The Lotus Dry method has already proven itself over the past two years with five previous outdoor grows. Really looking forward to testing this one :) ___________________ 17/04/26 Nach 67 Tagen in der Blüte habe ich die Axt geschwungen und die Mimosa X Orange Punch geerntet. Insgesamt schön Frost geworden mit einem vielversprechenden süß-fruchtigen Geruch, auch wenn der Ertrag sich wohl eher im Mittelfeld bewegen wird. Jedoch muss man auch dazu sagen, dass sie durch ihre Nachbarin Sour Diesel nur sehr beengte Platzverhältnisse hatte. Sie hat letztendlich eine Größe von 50cm erreicht. Da ich nur ein Zelt zum growen und trocknen habe, wird sie die nächsten 10-14 Tage in meinem Kühlschrank mit No-Frost Funktion bei 7°C verbringen. Die Lotus Dry Methode hat sich in den letzten zwei Jahren bei 5 vorherigen Outdoor Grows bereits bewährt! Ich freue mich aufs testen :)

Katzi 20/04/26 Happy 420! Day 70 of flower for the Sour Diesel. Her neighbor moved out three days ago, and she’s been claiming the space ever since. Hard to believe there used to be another plant in there :D At 100cm, the Sour Diesel is about twice the size of the Mimosa x Orange Punch. She has a nice lemony smell and has developed some dense buds. Unfortunately, there’s been a bit of foxtailing over the past two weeks, most likely caused by light stress. Due to the different plant sizes, I had to hang the light at an angle since I couldn’t quite get the MXOP up to the same canopy level. As a result, the Sour Diesel probably received a bit too much light on the top buds. Other than that, the plant looks great and is deep into the autumn phase. Starting next week, I’ll begin checking the trichomes. ______________________ 20/04/26 Happy 420! Blütetag 70 für die Sour Diesel. Ihre Nachbarin ist vor drei Tagen ausgezogen und nimmt sich seitdem den Platz, den sie braucht. Kaum zu glauben, dass hier eine weitere Pflanze drin stand :D Die Sour Diesel ist mit 100cm doppelt so groß, wie die Mimosa X Orange Punch. Sie riecht zitronig und hat schön dichte Blüten entwickelt. Leider gab es in den letzten beiden Wochen auch etwas Foxtailing, was wahrscheinlich durch Lichtstress ausgelöst wurde. Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Größen der beiden Pflanzen musste ich die Lampe schräg hängen, weil ich es nicht ganz geschafft habe die MXOP auf die selbe Höhe des Blütendachs zu heben. Dadurch hat die Sour Diesel wahrscheinlich etwas viel Licht abbekommen, an den obersten Buds. Ansonsten sieht die Pflanze sehr gut aus und ist tief im Herbst angekommen. Ab nächster Woche werde ich anfangen die Trichome zu überprüfen.

Katzi 29/04/26 Day 79 of flower for the Sour Diesel. Aside from the foxtailing, she turned out to be a very nice plant. Dense buds with a citrusy, slightly fruity aroma. Starting tomorrow, the lights will stay off, and then it’s time to swing the axe. Amber is around 10–15%. And just like that, this grow is coming to an end. I’ve learned a lot and taken away some valuable insights. I definitely underestimated the difference in growth between the two strains. Still, I managed to compensate for the 50cm height difference fairly well and was able to provide both plants with enough light. Overall, I’m convinced by the combination of Biotabs and Autopots. The effort is noticeably lower compared to more common feeding methods, and you get a buffer of at least a week where you wouldn’t need to intervene, since the water reservoir is large enough. The ventilation and humidification setup from AC Infinity is also very user-friendly. After a bit of trial and error, it’s quite easy to dial in a solid automation for climate control. That’s it for now, thanks for following along and see you next time :) ______________________________ 29/04/26 Blütetag 79 für die Sour Diesel. Abgesehen vom foxtailing ist es eine sehr schöne Pflanze geworden. Schöne dichte Blüten mit zitrisch eher fruchtigen Geruch. Ab morgen bleibt das Licht aus und dann wird die Axt geschwungen. Amber so 10-15%. So neigt sich dieser Grow dem Ende zu. Ich habe viel gelernt und einige Erkenntnisse mitgenommen. Den stark unterschiedlichen Wachstum habe ich zu wenig bedacht. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich den Größenunterschied von 50cm ganz gut kompensiert und konnte beiden Pflanzen genug Licht zur Verfügung stellen. Allgemein bin ich mit der Kombination von Biotabs und Autopots überzeugt. Der Aufwand ist merklich geringer, als bei gängigen Düngemethoden und man hat einen Puffer von mindestens einer Woche, wo man sich nicht kümmern müsste, da das Wasserreservoir groß genug ist. Auch die Luft und Befeuchtungstechnik von AC Infinity ist sehr zugänglich. Nach etwas ausprobieren hat man ganz schnell eine sinnvolle Automation zur Klimaregelung gefunden. Katzi 01/05/26 The Sour Diesel was chopped on day 81 of flower. Over the last few days, she had the tent all to herself, which gave her enough space for the final ripening. The aroma has become heavier now and leans more toward a slightly sour profile. Overall quite intense, less rounded and a bit sharper, but not in a bad way. I’m curious to see how it develops after curing. The plant is now hanging upside down in the tent, drying as a whole. She reached a height of 100cm, making her twice the size of her neighbor. I’m expecting a higher yield here. Aside from the foxtailing, the buds turned out nice and dense. Update coming soon. _______________________________ 01/05/26 Die Sour Diesel wurde an Blütetag 81 abgeholzt. Die letzten Tage konnte sie es sich im Zelt alleine breit machen, was ihr genug Raum für die letzte Reife gegeben hat. Der Geruch ist nun etwas schwerer und macht einen eher saueren Eindruck. Ansicht intensiv und weniger rund als etwas bissig. Aber nicht im schlechten Sinne, ich bin gespannt auf das ausgehärtete Produkt. Die Planze trocknet kopfüber, im ganzen im Zelt. Diese Pflanze hat 100cm erreicht und war damit doppelt so groß, wie ihre Nachbarin. Hier erwarte ich einen höheren Ertrag. Abgesehen vom Foxtail sind die Buds schön dicht geworden. Update folgt.
