I brought the plant off a friend who grew it from seed until 3 weeks old.
It was in soil medium and i use coco so i transplanted from soil to coco using research and used mykos mychorhaize to enchance root growth.
By the way this my ever first grow.
The leaf had yellow spots on em so i done some research and decided to follow instructions and remove infected leaves.
The plant has grown very slowy as i can tell by the top leaf expanding but i have one problem why is my leafs drooping down?
4 week 1 day old applied foiler application with sumo active boost and fed.
4 week 3 days noticed very green but very slow growth
Can someone please advise me why my plant leaf are dropping down and what i can do to fix them? You can see by the picture, its week 4 its a slow growth and worried, the stem is purpley colour and leaves feel kinda dry.
It looks like a few possible issues her roots are a bit wet or she is in a state of transplant shock from going from soil to coco or your lights are too close .The red stems and pale color leaves are a sign of nitrogen deficiency possibly others. She just isn't taking enough up through her roots. I don't see any perlite in your mix. you need to have about 25-30% perlite in your mix to allow for a free draining mix. Also you should lower your ph to 5.8-6.3 they are better able to absorb nutrients at that ph range. I would also raise the light up slightly to eliminate the possibility of light stress the indication is the canoe shape of the upper leaves. I would let her dry out a little bit before your next watering you don't need to water the entire pot her roots are still small. maybe an area about 6" around the plant. I would also suggest that you may need to increase your nutes a little bit raise it slowly go by your brands feeding schedule which should be available on their web site to give you a better idea. She should green up after she gets more nitrogen. Good luck hope this helps I'll follow along.
She grown once again very nicely and reached 11-12in tall but noticed some leaf problems such as the photos for this week.
I have removed damaged leaf and scheduled light for flowering 12/12.
Can anyone advise whether it is a female or male and what is the problem with the leaf?
Nice flowering stretch time to see some buds soon i guess.
It has stretched nicely i guess during the flowering period.
I have upgraded the tent size to 1m x 1m x 2m and seems to be better air flow and humidity levels.
Also changed the hygrometer to a AirComfort bluetooth wireless monitor which gives great detailed information on temps and humidity as per picture added.
Finally pistils have developed cant wait to see bud sites.
My plant has been in flowering stage for 1 week or more on a 12 / 12 cycle and 12 pure darkness of course...i have verified that it is female and increased it nutes today.
When will do i expect to see white pistils and buds?
Some leaves have burnt and have yellowness on them?
After the switch to 12/12, the plant enter a stage of rapid growth, know as the stretch or preflower. Depending on the strain the first signs of buds will appear during the 3d or 4th week of flowering, some fast strains will have the first sign of buds at the end of the 2nd week of flower. As for your other question, get an EC/PPM meter, it takes the guesswork out of feeding.
Very calm week she has been drinking plenty and formed beautiful nice pistils all over her cant wait to see how she develops in a few weeks.
Should i increase her p.h level when watering?
Pistils have grown very nicely around the plant. I have removed some fan leaves and always removed the katana roots and introduced pk warriro to fatten buds and start developing. Started to smell sligty and looking great so far.
She has started to fatten up abit give it a couple more weeks am sure she will start looking a lot more dense and big. I have started to decrease nutrients and still ph betwen 5.5 - 6.5 and also struggled with temps this week as we have been receiving some stupid up & down weather but she seems to be doing fine.
If you look closely some lovely crystals have been developing. Any advice would be cool.
She hasnt budded up as much as i expected but not finished the few in that stage yet. She is very sticky and smelly. Not to sure whether it is a stavia or indica strain?? I have struggled with temps this week as its been stupid here gbh btw and i have temps from 26 all the way to 35 and battle much as i can but must of was light off ?? O well let see what we get ? :-)
Is my plant a indica or stavia strain? The pistils have gone brown on some buds what does that mean and how long left on approx before chop chop? My bud havent fatten much too neither why? Maybe temps? And light i have knocked down to 250w due to high outside temps.
Hi mate looks to me that you may have a sativa dominant hybrid strain ( flower development and leaf shape)
Your buds don't look too bad Lots of visible trichomes and generally fairly healthy.
It's not unusual for buds to pack on most of their bulk during the final weeks of flowering. I would keep the HID's on
250w to keep the heat down you should be good 👍 hope I've helped 😀 and best of luck
She fatten decently and looks great. Aswell as that she smells absolutely smelly very much like cheese which lingers with you once touched. Still feeding as normal going to reduce its nutes gradually and start adding Ripen additive during last weeks.
So last week before i flush i think the trichomes are nearly milky cloudy?? What you guys think? Gave it a last boost before I actually inspect the trichomes with jeweller loupe. She smells absolutely pungent and stinky.
Started flushing as i have noticed the trichomes becoming cloudy milky type which i believe is the best to start. She looks great and smells great what do you guys think?
Great experience and very happy with total yield for first time grower. This my first ever grow. The bud is alright and enjoyable. I cant wait to crack on with the next one. I also found a seed whilst trimming what does that mean ?? Lol
Hey ghost. If you are sure there was no other way that pollen got into the room like bag weed or anything them yes she self pollinated. This can be from stress but since you got tue seed from a friend it probably came out of a bag of seeded bud which mean the mother was most likely hermie because I doubt the grower seeded them intentionally. This is why it is important to get your beans from a reputable breeder. Most seeds that come in buds you get are going to be hermies.
