RemoveYourChains Seeds broke ground in 2 days. Looking forward to this experience. After breaking ground, I transplanted them into their final pots (2x 27l - modified plastic pot (sides are drilled). Simple soil grow, with about 200gr mycorrhiza added to each pot. Lights are about 60cm away on a 75% dim. Some things that I'm experimenting with during this grow for the first time: - Modified plastic pots (drilled all pots full of 4mm holes, making it essentially a rigid airpot) - Electrical grounding of the pots (I know I know, I'm skeptical as well, but we can't know for sure if we won't experiment and collect data, I'm doing a run 1 year from now without this with the same seeds) - Adding raw aloe leaf gel all through the growth to the water - Trying out advanced nutrient's bud candy If you like my diary and want to help me do experiments, then consider tipping p2p money: BitcoinCash: qzhulr6wly39pzvpc3fwpp4gem2v8nhrgv520ztsgk Monero: 8A8sTmARFbt6RffJ6cV5wQ3vuU2ejBoTy4b5NWviEmDpTadUZy8DBAC7GZutEhh9gtYeK9eFi2m9gLeTpCfpAFfUA1pQmfh Cheers 😎

RemoveYourChains Week 1. Both seem to develop identically. Only gave them ph adjusted water in the 6.5-6.7 range (lately I've been using water conditioner used by aquarists, seachem with great success). By the end of week 1 both reached 6cm height with 3 nodes. I plan to top them at node 6 or 7. (no pun intended)

RemoveYourChains Week 2: By the end of week 2 they reached the height of 12 cm with the 6th node developing. Speed of growth feels rapid, at least compared to what I've grown so far. Plants are stocky, despite the distance of the light (still 75-85cm on 75% intensity) I've watered 3 times so far, with minimal calmag and plagron terra grow nutrients during the last watering. I now plan to top at the 6th node when it gets a little bit more developed and start adding silica with the next watering (which will be made from melted snow for as long as its available).

RemoveYourChains Week 3: I've watered 2 times this week. At the beginning of the week, 2l/plant with 1.25ml/l calmag and 2ml/l Rihno skin silica added. In the second watering 3 days later I mixed in 6 aloe leaves with 2ml/liter calmag and 4ml/l silica (2l/plant) The plants progressed from the last week's measurement (~12cm) to 23cm for the smaller plant and 26cm for the bigger one. Topped both plants at node 6 and removed the uppermost fan leaves at day 6 of the week to prevent them shadowing the side branches, 1 day after watering. Plants seemingly weren't stressing visibly, side branches have grown significantly by the next day. 1 plant (specimen #2) is visibly bigger and stronger now (not sure if's due to genetics or environmental factors, I plan to take some clones of this). Kept the light about at arms length for the whole week at 100% (200W).

RemoveYourChains Week 4: lots of progress this week, plants gained a lot of width (both have great structure, strong branches and an almost even canopy after a about a week from topping, only done crop steering techniques like lst and bending some of the top branches. Water uptake is consistent, outflow ph is getting low a bit (~6.2) on both plants. I plant to use ~6.8 for the next waterings. Nutrient wise I phased out raw aloe for now and started shifting to bloom nutrients. supplementary calmag/silica have been added. Moved the light further and the tip burn issue that started to develop on the weaker plant went away. I like that the colour is not too dark (I often had N overfeeding in the past). I plan to continue mild defoliation as the bud sites develop. Will be reaching 12/12 in a day or 2.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 5: By the middle of the week I have adjusted for a 12/12 light cycle. Plants gained mostly girth with a height of about 47cm. (~40cm for the smaller plant). I can't rotate them anymore as they are too bulky. The branches are heavily staging, but no sign of gender so far. The smell became quite significant so the carbon filter must run constantly from now on. Did only defoliation all through the week (mostly light blocking fan leaves and the lowest bud site beginnings). During one night I had the dehumidifier stop in the breathing room, so they spent the whole night around 90% relative humidity. hopefully it won't cause any lasting damage. :( I went light on the nutes (1ml/l or less) for this week, but I'll plan to elevate dosage to about 1.5ml/l bloom nutes by the end of next week. Managed to take about 15 clones to be given away to friends just from the defoliation cuttings.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 6: 10th day of flower, 42 days from seed. Water uptake rose significantly this week. I had to water 3 times, ~3l-4l / plant, added nutes to every feed. New addition is Bud Candy from Advanced Nutrients (first time test for me). Flower stretch is in full swing. I slowly let it grow closer to the light in the following weeks, closely monitoring for light stress issues, target is 70cm for the next few days. Overall, leaf health is very good, shape and growth are very nice no sign of burn or other health issues. colour is pleasant, branches are very strong. I decided to go for a more hands off approach and see how this strain develops naturally from now on. Did minimal defoliation around the top of the plant. the smallest auxiliary branches have reached almost the main colas. Started lolly-popping lightly on the last day of the week. Set up a second fan targeting the top 3rd of these gluttonous ladies. So far so good. 😎😬

RemoveYourChains WEEK 7 (FLOWER): 47 days from seed, 16th day of flower. The bigger plant reached 83cm height by the end of week 7 while the other consistently lags behind by about 5cm. Structure is identical on both plants. Bud sites are developing well. (getting a bit overcrowded in the middle of the plant). Did some lolly-popping at the beginning of the week and minimal defoliation all through the week. Watered every 3rd day with the usual nutes. I plan to add raw aloe gel again next week. RemoveYourChains WEEK 8 (FLOWER): 24 days from light switch, 56 days from seed. The bigger plant reached 93cm in height (smaller is about 85cm) by the end of the week. I think this will be the maximum height they'll go. Both plants have developed a lot of bud sites all over. I've been removing the lowest ones and some leaves all through the week. The plants now show notable structural differences. On the bigger plant, the secondary and other lesser branches shoot up almost to the top of the canopy, whereas on the smaller plant they didn't develop at all, only the main branches create the canopy The smaller plant has slightly bigger bud-sites for now. The colour got a lot darker on both plants, the oldest leaves started to slightly crawl down so I halved the nutes for the last watering. They drink consistently 3-4l every 2-3 days. I'll stay at low nute levels for the next 2-3 watering (I might do a flush too) and monitor leaf health. Top dressed with plagron light mix this week. Not sure if I should defoil more aggressively, tips are welcome.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 9 (FLOWER) Day 63 from seed, Day 31 of flower. They drink about ~20l / week. Low dosed nutes for 2 waterings and got back to normal feeding by the end of the week. Swelling and trichome production is in full swing, stretch pretty much stopped (only 3cm vertical growth in the first half of the week). No herming detected so far, despite light leaks. Smell has been quite diverse, sometimes it produces something like a wet dog smell, kush scent is getting more pronounced too. The smaller plant has a bit different bud structure to the other one. Based on breeder specification, there's 1-1.5 months to go.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 10 (FLOWER): Day 70 from seed, day 38th of flower. Buds are developing nicely, mostly vertically filling out the stalks for now, had to stake some branches as they started crumbling. This strain would certainly benefit from a scrog net. On touch, the buds feel very dense with some pistils starting to brown. Smell got heavier and sweet....my bud rot anxiety kicked in too... 😬😬😬 Few of the lower, smaller leaves started to show what seems to me PK deficiency (will try to take pics of this later), while on the top of the plant the minimal tip burn seems to have progressed slightly, about half a milimeter. Decided to go easy on nutes for now and monitor it more closely. water uptake has been consistent (about 20l/week). In retrospect, I should have taken out more lateral branches on the more bushy plant. The smaller plant with not many lateral branches shows some fox tailing on top of the main colas (any suggestions on why this can happen?) Thanks for reading. :)

RemoveYourChains WEEK 11 (FLOWER): Day 77 from seed, day 45 of flower. Swelling is ongoing, luckily the weather has been dry for 1-2 weeks now and I managed to touch even 40% relative humidity in the grow room. Water uptake is still consistent (~20 liter / week) I removed some lesser bud sites from plant #2 as they didn't get too much light but started to lean on stronger branches. After drying, even those lesser buds were potent AF and tasted very good even without any curing. 😲 We are 10 days off to enter the breeder's specified flowering window (55-65 days). On the smaller plant ( #1), buds seems to be swelling faster but pistils didn't start to brown on it, contrary to the other plant (#2) which has plenty of brown pistils. Will be checking trichomes around day 55 of flower.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 12 (FLOWER): Day 84 in total, 52nd day of flower. Water uptake still consistent, this week they got fed once and were watered 3 times in total. I had to implement support for most branches as they are falling over. Checked trichomes on plant #2, still clear with 1-2 amber on the sample (top cola). ~1-2 weeks left at least. Progress is slowing, no fade visible yet.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 13 (FLOWER): Day 91 from seed, day 59 of flower. Water uptake slowed significantly, at the last day of the week I flushed them with about 10l of ph adjusted water. 2 weeks of rainy weather have arrived, hopefully it won't cause any mold problems. Trichomes are still mostly clear (90%+), smell is incredible, little to no fading visible. Been cutting, drying and smoking lesser bud sites for 2 weeks now, By default I have skepticism towards "celebrity strains", but this is very good. Even these unripe buds have produced very heavy indica effects, with full body and mind relaxation with a very strong and pleasant terpene profile.

RemoveYourChains WEEK 14 (FLOWER): Day 98 from seed, day 66 of flower. Progress halted pretty much completely. On the samples I took it's still mostly clear with some amber on both plants... 😞 There's a high chance I won't be able to wait for all cloudy due to an upcoming trip either, if you are new, always add 1-3 weeks to the breeder specified flowering period. Here's some things I would do differently based on this grow: 1.) plan with more time (this strain probably needs about 72-78 days to ripen in these conditions, your xp may differ based on conditions) 2.) lollypop more aggressively and use a net 3.) veg for 1 more week

Happy Harvest Day!

Took 105 days from seed, 73 days of flower. Resilient, fast development, high yield, reacted well to stress. Smell/aroma is very deep, reminds me of the smell of antique fabric/perfume/cabinet of old people. Will update smoke report after some curing. uncured samples were potent AF, as early as 2 weeks before harvest. Calming, heavy indica, body stone, time slip effect.

RemoveYourChains Harvest time has come. I let it dry out by mistake and the plants faded/crumbled significantly in a day. Unfortunately I didn't have time to measure wet weight, but feels like a decent harvest with hard and sizeable nugs. About 4 days before harvest the bottom larf/smallbuds and weakest side branches on the smaller plant was ~100g wet in total. Total dry weight came out to be 240g, without the larf. For the fellow nerds some numbers: 105 days from seed. 73 days in flower ~770kwh energy used ~252.35l water input in total ~14ml grow nutes ~160ml bloom nutes ~220ml bud candy ~300ml silica ~154ml calmag ~240g dry weight Based on local expenses (electricity, water, nutrient, soil), it comes out to ~1EUR/g which is very nice from my perspective. I had 2 similar phenos: #1: pistils remained white until end of flower, faded into very light brown only by the last week. Had about 10% bigger buds, feels denser on touch, overall the plant was smaller (~10-15cm shorter) with less/shorter lateral branching. #2 was bigger, more bushy. Buds are not as big as on #1, the pistils on this started browning very earl into flower. Both plants developed about the same, with the same water uptake all through the grow. Overall I'm very happy with this strain, it showed rapid growth, withstood stress and produced flavorful and potent buds. stay tuned for pics, weighing and smoke report after curing. Well done, nice structure, perfect light intensity, accurate feedings, this is what your plants are showing in the pictures. The choice of choosing a cultivar from a well established seeds bank like Barney’s is brilliant.
