YourLocalGrowmie This is Franky
Aka Frankenstein.
It's a grafting plant I kept for roundabout 16months and used as mother for clones and simply preserving genetics and all that jazz.
The bottom which all is grafted on is "witches weddings" from seedsman.
It's a simple and vital growing plant. The flower is boring tho. So there are no original branches left.
The lineup:
- kmintz (2phenos) ripper seeds
- korenji (2phenos) ripper seeds
- Tropicana poison - sweet seeds
- cap junky - seedjunkys
- ninja runtz (3phenos) - nasha genetics
-Blue runtz - unknown breeder
- nebula (Tropicana cookies Tahoe og mimosa) - unknown breeder
- blueberry muffin (ice ice berry pheno) - Humboldt seed company
- garlic berry -gtr seeds
- grape venom - black tuna seeds
I most likely forgot some strain....
But I'll keep this updated once a week or so
The dosage of biotabs is as in the description of the company.
I was just too lazy to translate the g into ml
Or whatever.

YourLocalGrowmie Franky is back after a few weeks of taking a break.
Franky had to recover from the repotting and root trimm and then it also had to adjust to the new soil with a lot of nutrients. Basically Franky has been doing nothing for two weeks. That's why I didn't do any updates. Franky then showed small signs of soft skin mites so I had to use some neem oil which gave Franky a small extra stress and burn for a few days.
Now....finally...Franky is doing fine and on its way to go into flowering soon.
Just one last trim and one last bending down and one last recoveryphase and then I will send it.

YourLocalGrowmie Look at her go!
Fully recovered from neem overdose and almost ready for flower.
She be getting the same treatment as always:
12-15L water every 7 days.
Probably will switch it up to same amount of water every 5 days soon.
I did under canopy defoil and cut out a lot of branches that don't get any light.
In the next few days I will start lowering the hours of light by 30mins each day and let it slowly fade into flowering 12/12h.
I'm really excited to see how things will stretch in the next few weeks.
Update coming soon again.

YourLocalGrowmie Updated version:So this is Franky again.
I have slowly reduced the light from 18/6 to 12/12 by 30mins per day.
15 in the morning and 15 in the evening.
Today is the first day in 12/12h flowering.
Franky is starting to shoot long branches as expected.
Explanation of the edited picture above:
Red = Ninja runtz x 4 phenos
Blue = kmintz x 2 phenos
Orange = korenji x 2 phenos
Green = grape venom
Purple = nebula
Black = blue runtz +.blueberry muffin
+ update : yellow = cap junky + Tropicana Poison
Sht is getting wild already.
But I'll see how much it needs to be tamed in the upcoming 18 -21 days of flowering.
Then it's time for some heavy defoil and lollipoping
Update: it needs a lot of taming* and care.
I'm picking a hand full of small leafs from the bottom part of the plant every day by now already.

YourLocalGrowmie Week 2
Franky is stretching. It needs more water than usually.
I pick out leaves from the bottom part every day.
In roundabout 10/12 days I will do a big defoil.
Till then I might take off a leaf here and there to stop it from overstretching

YourLocalGrowmie Phew.
Beginning of week 3 flowering....
So it seems as if Franky has decided when to be lollipopped. A bunch of leafs and branches stopped being supported in the shaded under canopy. They have not being getting enough light and air so I had to take off the whole blueberry muffin branch and one of the korenji phenos.
Besides that I noticed that some of the upper leafs have very light chlorosis and red stems.
From my experience it's most likely due to very high level of calcium in my tab water and eventually also due to lack of PK.
Next watering I will add some pk booster and some Epsom salt to enrich water with magnesium and eventually stop chlorosis.
Also at the end of the week I will do a big defoil.
Ps. I took photos and did the video after watering. That's why the leafs aren't praying as much as usual right now.

YourLocalGrowmie Hi again!
Franky has been stretching a lot.
I did a "big" defoil on day 20 to stop the stretching. I didn't do too much I think.
Tried to take out a lot of big leafs and did a bit of lollipopping from beneath.
It was the biggest and most exhausting defoil I did so far. Took hours and eventually sometime I got tired.
:D
Today is day 24 of flowering btw.
I started adding Epsom salt in a very small dose and also started adding green sensation from plagron to fight the red leaf stems and discolorings on some leafs that were indicating a lack of magnesium & phosphor.
It seems to have taken the first dose very well.
I'm extremely pleased with the looks so far.
I will try to send into flowering earlier tho next time cuz this sht is growing wild. :D

YourLocalGrowmie Heyall
Franky is entering week 5 of flowering now.
I'm taking off small sht buds from the under canopy almost every day and a few leafs.
Not much. Just a tad here and there.
Also different expressions are starting to get very visible.
Grape venom for example seems to have a discoloring and doesn't overall look as happy as the other strains.
But besides that.....
Gal is happy.
Gonna add some microbes with the next watering.
Always a bit of run off.
Now always adding green sensation

YourLocalGrowmie Hi!
This is Franky the grafting plant again!
All you see here is just one single plant.
It's beginning of week 6 of flowering.
Right now things are going on autopilot.
I barely do anything besides giving water with a bit Epsom salt added once a week.
Every watering now gets green sensation added.
Β± allways a bit of run off.
Flowers are developing their own identitys now. The differences in the grafted strains are very visible and smell able.
I'm not sure but....it looks a bit like the Tropicana poison is taking longer than as a singular plant. It usually would take 7 weeks with this specific Pheno but it really looks like it will need as long as most of the other strains ATM...
I stopped picking small buds from the bttm half of the plant in preparation of the second defoil and lollipop in week 7.
That's all for now.
See ya next week :)

YourLocalGrowmie Another week, another upload .....
Week 7 of flowering
Franky is going into fade.
It's getting pretty dense and frosty everywhere.
Still doing nothing but giving 14 Liters of water twice a week.
Adding a bit green sensation here and then.
Didn't take picture of all the grafted strains this time but I will definitely before chopping in the upcoming weeks.
Stay tuned for more Franky

YourLocalGrowmie 8th week of flowering!
Franky is fading!
Or at least some of the strains on Franky are :D.
Very interesting to see how it unfolds and how the strain use the nutrients given.
Most strains are smelly AF and sticky af.
Which makes me really happy :)
Now I'm just adding water and letting a bit of flush out every time.
Harvest will be soon.
Stay tuned for more franky

YourLocalGrowmie Week 9 of flowering!
Franky is faaaading....faaading....faaading.(Shoutouts to Toro y Moi)
Uhm....I think we at the end now.
I've only been giving water and picking yellow dead leafs.
Most strains look really really ripe, and I don't like overripe stuff.
So even if a few might look like they could go longer, Imma end this with the next upload in a few days.
Having this grafting project was a blast.
Thx everyone for tuning in and watching this grow.
If anyone has any questions on grafting just hmu with a comment or pm.
Ps: I haven't seen blue runtz in two months but it was there all along too...oh and the permanent marker as well :D.
Very fun to watch things uncover now.
This strain is nice but it's not my fav terpene profile.
I hadn't put any focus on this strain ..it was just there because of an accidental switch.
It was sold to me as cap junky but turned out permanent marker :/
It does get u incredibly high tho :D

YourLocalGrowmie Okok. Franky is at an end.
I did the first harvest....
Now first I have a reveal to make.....:
Franky was most likely carrying a latent pathogen which showed only twice on separate clones that where taken from Franky around beginning of January by showing symptoms like Mosaic patterns on leafs, twisted growth and witches broom style growing. This was noticed during a neem oil overdose which caused the pathogen to appear and become visible for a short time.
Since Franky did not really show signs - I sent it as soon as it looked healthy af.
With that being said....
I am more than happy that everything still worked out - the buds coming out are amazingly frosting and extremely smelly.
The amount could be more but I ain't gon complain....too much ;)
Favourite strains:
kmintZ
Korenji
Nebula
Ninja runtz 1 (this has already been tested to have 19% thc and 11% CBD. Very surprisingly high amount of CBD....but it tastes amazing
Never could let go of such a project.. especially not after pedicure and repotting π Good skills come in hand with emotionless character and an empty hole in your chest? π
If you have a plan it's rather simple to get it this well structured with an even canopy.
Nonetheless, just in theory. Working it out is something else. Need perfect handling and/or good repairs + somehow timing, either way nice skills.πͺ
Impressive.
πππππ
edit: I am nearly crying, just let Franky live, give it to foster parents or an auction! With such a productive mom you sure have enough harvest already πΉ
So much silly talk .. so again. Well done!
@TruTraTri, hahahaha this project has burnt a hole into my chest...or eventually will at least when the harvest is done :D
Thanks for the kind words. I wish I could keep it but space is limited....and I know nobody who can take it... Franky is about 16months old and I did copy all strains of Franky onto another plant (franky#2) that is waay smaller and only maybe 2 months old by now. So at least the spirit will live on...and so will all the strains ofc ;D
Love how you marked everything with the colored circles, Franky π
Makes it so much easier to follow π
And the plants look absolutely fantastic β big thumbs up πͺπ₯π―πΏ
@RockoCalenberg, hey mate thx for the kind words. I'm not sure if the auto-translation is a bit off track but it's just one plant* I named Franky and it has all strains grafted onto it :)
@YourLocalGrowmie, Ahh thanks for clarifying π
Auto-translation fooled me a bit! But that actually makes it even more awesome β one grafted super-plant? Franky is a beast πΏπ₯
hello dear Grower- Feeding schedules are always recommendations. and you can always give more if the dosage is not sufficient- did you use the tabs, too? because they are the Nitrogen mainsourcce
Strains and setups are different, so there is always a variation
but in the end, less is more for everyone and everything-enjoy your multiple strain grow
@Mia_BIOTABS, hi there.
Thx for writing :)
I'm very satisfied with bio tabs. I used Silicium flash, startrex and the tabs to amend the soil.
70L soil + 250g startrex +250g Silicium flash + 5 bio tabs.
I did do a little bit less than I could have done. But should be fine for the amount of time I'm planning.
Cheers π₯
@YourLocalGrowmie,
allright, you can always do a topdress with silicium flash, that keeps them happy-
and i do it the same, i take less, because thats never a problem for the plant- enjoy your grow
@RelaeX, hey there. Idk. If my technique has a special name...but basically I cut of a branch or tip and split the stem open in half with a scalpel. Then I cut off a branch from a strain I want to attach and slice it at the stem so it fits good in the open split stem branch of the plant I graft on. Then lower light to low ppfd...maybe 80 or even less...and put a small plastic bag. Maybe ziplock back with lots of moisture inside over the attached branch. Treat it like a clone. Give it some water with sprayer every few days. 10-14 days later let the bag open and check how branch reacts after a few hours
@YourLocalGrowmie, thx for the fast answer. I know this technique as "Veredelung" at roses or trees. It is n1 to see that i Γ€t work with cannabis also@YourLocalGrowmie, thanks for the fast answer. I know this technique as "Veredelung" for roses or trees. It is nice to see that it also works with cannabis.
@RelaeX, I would argue that it might even be easier with cannabis than with most other plants like trees....I tried a few times to graft lemon and orange branches to one another and it didn't workout....yet....^^. you also graft?
