Germination

TurtleInWeed Welcome to my new run! With Grizzly Glue from Zamnesia, this run kicks off with a strain I've wanted to grow for a while. As exclusive genetics, it was particularly interesting for me to see how it develops under organic conditions and what growth characteristics it shows. This grow is part of a deliberately relaxed organic setup. I'm working with BioTabs NL in combination with my Blumat system, aiming to implement a stable "only water" run. The focus is on consistent conditions, healthy root development, and a smooth process without unnecessary interventions. Instead of pushing the plants, I want to give them the space to show their natural growth and unfold their potential step by step. The grow will be documented cleanly – from germination to harvest – with the goal of capturing a comprehensible, reproducible organic run. 🌱 Germination & Start – Day 1–2 | Grizzly Glue After about 32 hours, I checked the cotton pad and saw that the taproot had already developed a few millimeters. The seed was then placed directly into the prepared planting hole and lightly covered with substrate. The goal was to achieve as gentle a transition as possible from the germination medium to the soil, without unnecessarily stressing the young root. For the final pot (20 L), I sensibly combined my existing substrate leftovers. The mix is airy, balanced, and provides, in my view, a very good basis for an organic grow with BioTabs NL. In the first few days, root development is clearly the priority – everything else can build up in peace.

TurtleInWeed 🌱 Week 1 (Day 8–14) After the first seven days, I noticed a little stretch. Nothing wild, but enough to raise the light to 35%. The distance is about 45 cm, and since then the ladies are looking much more relaxed. The Grizzly has reached about 9 cm. I've been watering very moderately with around 30 ml every three days – better too little than too much at this stage. On Day 10, there was the first little highlight: white roots at the edge of the cup 👀 Since the cups are transparent, I quickly crafted something to keep the roots from getting light. Improvised, but it serves its purpose. By Day 14, the roots were definitely ready to move. I didn't hesitate long, decided to go for it, and repotted right away. After going through the BioTabs NL schedule, the ladies were already in their final 20 L pots. All relaxed, no stress. So far, everything is running completely stress-free. The plants look healthy, are growing evenly, and show no signs of trouble. Just the way it should continue.

TurtleInWeed 🌱 Grizzly Glue – Veg Week 2 (Day 15–21) Unfortunately, the Grizzly didn't have an optimal start. When transplanting, the root ball partially fell apart, which visibly stressed her. As if that wasn't enough, I also splashed the nutrient solution on her leaves while watering – the result was slight necrosis and additional stress. Currently, she is clearly lagging behind the others: thinner main stem and overall smaller, less vigorous structure. The positive thing is that she has stabilized now and is slowly picking up pace again. I'm closely monitoring her development and will decide in the next few days whether to extend the Veg by a week – originally planned for 3–4 weeks. 💧 Watering & Setup Day 13: 1 L filtered, dechlorinated water, pH 6.5 1 g Bactrex 10 ml Orgatrex Day 19: 650 ml water, pH 6.5 (without nutrient solution) Veg Week 2 went overall smoothly, the plants have settled well into their 20 L pots.

TurtleInWeed By the end of the week, the Grizzly is clearly recovering. The initial root stress in the final pot seems to have been overcome, and she looks to be back in full swing. She is growing very bushy with short internodes, so I decided against topping and instead started with gentle LST to open her up a bit. The color is a nice dark green, overall a very vigorous impression. On day 25, I watered with 1 L of filtered, dechlorinated tap water.

TurtleInWeed 🌱 Grizzly Glue: Week 4 Veg (Day 29-35) The Grizzly was the epitome of calm this week. Beautiful dark green, healthy look, new growth a bit lighter but absolutely within range. Overall, she looks very vital and stable. At five weeks, she has remained quite compact and stout. For my personal taste, she's almost a bit too short, but that's probably more due to my skills than her xD. Positive: The internodes have gotten a bit longer this week, especially the lower shoots are slowly coming up after the LST and are aligning nicely. Structure is building up slowly but solidly. No drama, no issues, just relaxed, healthy growth. 💧 Watering Protocol Day 28: 2L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated Day 31: 2L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated Day 34: 2.5L filtered + dechlorinated + aerated + 0.3 ml/L CalMag (BioBizz)

She's developing beautifully despite the initial slow start! Week 2 and already showing strong healthy growth with excellent leaf development. Love the documentation with all these photos. How's she recovering from the transplant? Great to see her getting stronger! 🌱

Don't worry about it, mine has also stayed pretty small and compact. But it starts with some nice thick buds 😉
