EVD420 Yo, what’s up growmies 🤝 Here’s the latest report. Meet K8, my personal favorite. It shows an amazing dark green color and a brilliant fruity flavor. I’ve selected 8 plants for this run, and one has already shown male traits. We’ll be closely observing the rest — this one’s definitely a standout. Stay tuned, yo!

EVD420 Yo, what’s up growmies 🤝 Update on K8 F4. Upon returning, I noticed that the plants had stretched into the light, but no burning occurred. Some plants were light-deprived — specifically, three plants were selected and given additional light. The remaining five plants were defoliated and switched to flower. This is my favorite phenotype. No terpene expression is visible in the leaves yet — we will monitor that during flowering. Structurally, these are typical bush-type plants. One difference from the previous generation: dark, deep emerald coloration observed previously is not yet visible here. We will continue to monitor.

EVD420 During this reporting period, K8 underwent selection and structural work. Several plants expressed male sex. One male — #1 — was selected and kept due to its strong growth vigor and overall superior appearance compared to the rest. Plants #5 and #6 were removed from the selection. All remaining plants were cleaned up: non-promising and weak branches were removed. Additionally, all plants were topped to control vertical growth and maintain a compact structure. At this stage, all plants have been fully transitioned into flowering. The current focus is on observing the onset of flowering and further phenotype expression. Waiting to see how these girls perform 🌱

EVD420 During this reporting period, no major structural interventions were recorded. Visual inspection shows the plants remain stable and healthy, with no visible stress indicators. The line appears to be transitioning phase toward flowering, though pistil development is still progressing slowly. Initial floral structures are forming, but full flowering has not yet accelerated. Canopy structure has settled, and overall morphology remains consistent. At this stage, the plants are considered to be in early transition / pre-flower, awaiting stronger floral expression.

EVD420 Flowering officially started on February 20. Selection & Pollination • Plants #3 and #4 were temporarily isolated for controlled pollination. • Controlled pollination window was completed on February 20. • The selected male #1 was removed after pollen work was finalized. Targeted Cross • Plant #2 — one branch was pollinated with Diesel pollen. Phenotypic Notes • Plant #3 — noticeably more bushy, with stronger lateral branching. • Leaf rotation is present across all plants, though less extreme compared to other K-lines. • Plant #4 — shows a darker coloration, which is characteristic for the K8 line. Population is now fully in early flowering stage, with seed development initiated on selected branches.

EVD420 Pollination Outcome Previously selected plants underwent controlled pollination. However, seed set appears unsuccessful — fertilization did not take effect. No viable seed formation is currently observed. Current Status Plants remain in active flowering. The line will now continue through bloom toward full maturation without additional pollination at this stage. Observation continues until end of flowering cycle.

EVD420 Pollination Results Inspection shows that pollination was successful on the branches that were intentionally fertilized. These areas are now showing clear signs of seed development. Plants that were not pollinated continue normal flower production. The flowers are developing well, though it is still too early to draw firm conclusions about final traits. Phenotypic Observations Morphological differences between the plants remain minimal. At this stage, the line appears to demonstrate good phenotypic stability. Current Status The population is progressing through flowering with both seeded and unseeded branches present. Further observations will be made as flowering advances and traits become more pronounced.

EVD420 General Overview Four plants in total: • 2 pollinated • 2 unpollinated The difference is clearly visible — pollinated plants are yellowing earlier and show reduced biomass, which is expected due to energy being redirected into seed production. Seed Development Seeds on pollinated plants appear to be fully matured and ready for harvest. Aroma Profile The aroma occasionally shows diesel-like hints, though it is still too early to draw final conclusions. Maintenance Removed excess foliage to improve airflow and overall condition. Current Status All plants have been transitioned to pure water (flush phase). Estimated time to harvest: ~2 weeks

EVD420 Harvest • Plants #2, #3 and #8 were harvested last week after spending one week on pure water. All were pollinated: • one crossed with Diesel • one within the line • Plants #4 and #7 were harvested this weekend, allowing them additional time to mature. Phenotypic Observations No particularly standout traits were identified in this run. • Semi-dense flowers • Weak aroma profile • Mature trichomes present, but without exceptional expression Result The cycle is completed. While the current run did not reveal strong phenotypic highlights, the line remains promising for further work. Next Step In the next cycle, focus will shift to more targeted selection and refinement of this line.

EVD420 Seed Yield Seeds were collected from plants: #3, #4, #7, #8 (including multiple expressions). Total yield is estimated at ~150–200 seeds. Notably, even plants that were not intended for pollination ended up seeded, indicating full pollen spread across the environment. Observations No clearly distinct or unique phenotypes were identified in this cycle. The population did not reveal strong standout traits worth immediate selection. Strategy Moving Forward Given the lack of clear differentiation, next steps may include: * Stepping back one generation, or * Mixing the seed stock to perform a broader pheno hunt, aiming to uncover hidden or recessive traits Result The cycle is completed. A large seed pool has been generated, providing material for deeper exploration despite the lack of standout expressions in this run.
