Lil' Red Riding Hood | Humboldt CSI

ThePurpleAlchemist Alright, my girl has got her hood on and is ready to go see grandma! I'm very interested/excited to see how this one turns out. So far growth has been slow and steady. Things will pick up as more leaves are grown.

ThePurpleAlchemist We are coming to the end of week 2 and she is looking healthy. Everything seems to be normal, growth is slowly starting to ramp up as she sprouts new sets of leaves. It's the winter time here so I've been struggling a bit to keep it humid inside my tent. I know VPD and environment is very important during this stage. I have a tiny humidifier but it doesn't seem to help much and uses a lot of water. Future plans are to top at the 6th node and transplant up to its final pot. ThePurpleAlchemist Hello fellow growmies! I hope everyone's plants are doing great! My lil red riding hood is trekking along on her way to grandmas house! I just transplanted her into her final home where she can really let her roots out and grow much more. I also topped the plant for the first time, I plan on giving her one more topping and then calling it good. Not much else to say, from here I plan on increasing the nutes and doing some LST to shape the plant. I will talk to you guys at the next update! 😁

ThePurpleAlchemist This plant is growing wonderfully!! I topped her for a second time and have been doing some LST here and then. The growth structure of this plant makes it so you don't really have train/shape the plant as much. It's already starting to stink pretty bad which is new to me and it excites me! This is my 3rd serious indoor grow and I've never had a plant in Veg smell this strong. I also just flipped the lights to 12/12 so we're ready for the stretch and I can't to see some buds start to grow.

ThePurpleAlchemist First week of flower! She is starting to stretch nicely and smell stinky! I had to quit smoking for a new job so I'm pretty sad that I probably won't be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor but hopefully somebody else will be able to.

ThePurpleAlchemist I'm pretty sure the stretch is finished and buds are slowly starting to form. This is probably the most exciting part of the grow, for me at least. I did a pretty aggressive defoliation/skirt on her this grow. It always hurts a little cutting off all those leaves and bud sites but I think it will benefit the final product and if not, then lesson learned!

ThePurpleAlchemist I have been slacking on keeping up with taking pictures 😓 Everything seems to going smooth besides running out of room for my fan, I guess that's not the worst problem to have though! She is stacking very nicely and buds are getting bigger everyday. One good thing about not smoking anymore is that I don't feel rushed at all to harvest. I'm going to let her grow till she can't grow no more! 03/26/2026-Mid Week Update Added a few more pictures. That 2x2 is full to the brim! 😅My poor fan is getting swallowed in the corner by the plant. I got the light as high as it will go and the fan has to stay for airflow so hopefully she doesn't grow vertically anymore. I have plucked a few "balls" on the lower sections, I'm almost positive they would have turned into nanners if I left them. I think they are just a by product of hybrid breeding and possibly some stress. The breeder recommends to be on the look out for them around week 2-3 of flower so makes sense. Other than that, she lookin nice! Leaves are starting to darken/purple around the edges and she is stacking wonderfully. I'm thinking I should have some decent buds by the end of it.💪💪

ThePurpleAlchemist Lil Miss Riding Hood is coming along nicely. She is definitely pushing the limits of what this tent can hold and the light also. Some of the tops on the sides aren't getting full exposure to the light which isn't ideal but it is what it is. I would say that we are about half way to the finish line. Happy Growing everyone!
