#8 – Gorilla Cookies Auto

ojulhao In week 2, I transplanted the Jiffy Pellets into 2L pots and started feeding them Green Power 5 in 1.

ojulhao Later in week 2, I discovered that my tap water has a magnesium deficiency, so I bought Epsom Salt to fix it. From now on, I will always use 0.3g/L along with my regular nutrients. Also, I left home for almost 10 days and tried an automatic watering system. When I arrived back, the plants looked like the pictures above, not very healthy, but quite big. I decided to top them as a test. As you can see, I had 6 plants. I topped the biggest ones above the fourth node and the smallest ones above the third node. I think it will be a good experiment. However, I will only be keeping 3, as 6 is too many for my small tent.

ojulhao This week I started training them, maybe too late. I see that one branch on one of the plants broke a little (I think it tried to grow and snapped), but it looks like it managed to form a new connection. It’s a bit weak, though. As you can see in the pictures, I made some strange training while trying to arrange the branches in a better position. I feel I should have done the topping one week earlier and started training before, as it would make it easier and probably lead to better results. Let’s see what happens.

ojulhao Hello, lovely people. Today is the last day of the fifth week. They started flowering in the last few days, and we can already see the buds developing. I trained them a bit more; they’re turning into little monsters and taking up too much space in my small tent. Since they’re getting tall, I decided to do some lollipopping, removing the small buds growing very low down and taking off some leaves that don’t receive much light. Overall, everything looks good. I can’t see any problematic leaves, which is probably the first time this has happened to me. Let’s hope it continues this way.

ojulhao Hello hello, We are at the end of the 6th week today, and the plants are growing so much. The main branches became very tall, so I decided to use a net to help me control them. I'm enjoying the result so far :)

ojulhao Hi everyone! Great news this week :) I got a new LED light, a MARS HYDRO FC3000 EVO 300W. It has basically double the wattage of my current one. I already installed it for this growing cycle. However, even before installing it, I thought the plants were doing very well. Probably my best growing cycle so far. The branches look full of buds, which are getting bigger and bigger every week.

ojulhao Hello everyone! Along the week, I've noticed that the leaves were becoming yellowish and drying. I'm not sure what it can be. Maybe I overfed them :/ Yesterday I tried to flush them, let's see if that will help. Besides that, I noticed that one of the plants is looking way more mature than the others, not sure why. Overall, I'm pretty excited to harvest them. Today is the 56th day of growth, and I expect to finally harvest them by the end of this month.

ojulhao As we finish week 9, I can say they are definitely smelling a lot. When I enter my building, I can smell it in the corridor already lol. That's not a problem tho. One of the plants is way more frosty than the others, not sure why it happened. The other two are a bit less frosty, but are looking better than last week. I still have the problem with yellowish leaves. I'm not using nutrients again this week. Hopefully, they are ready to harvest by 1st April.

ojulhao Hello everyone, posting a bit later this time. We’re now finishing the tenth week, and the situation hasn’t changed much. I’m still watering with plain water. It looks like they’re losing more leaves every day. I’ll give it two more weeks before harvesting and see if the buds improve.

ojulhao That's her final week. I realized there are almost no leaves left. I'm not sure what happened. If you have an idea, please leave a comment. Basically, only one of the plants turned out to be very sugary and good-looking. The other two didn't show too many trichomes. The leaves became yellowish and dried. At this point, almost no leaves are left. I'm harvesting it soon.

ojulhao I harvested the plant on 12 April, which means it took 91 days from germination to harvest. However, I would say that the last 2 weeks didn't add much to its final state. After harvest, I let them dry for approximately 14 days with around 55% to 60% humidity inside the grow tent. I didn't check their weight before drying.
