1st attempt at DWC

Made my own DWC bucket. Bought 2 10L buckets with lids, £6.50 2 5" Net pots £1.00 Air pump £11.00 Air stone 4" £5.00 Air line 3m £1.50 Total cost £25.00 (update week 9 just before publishing diary. The oxypot setup cost £27 and I wish I had bought it from the start. Also I'm glad i had made a change in nutes as using coco nutes in dwc probably would have been problematic). I am planning on using my Shogun Coco nutrients just because I cant b arsed buying and proper hydro ones, Plus I am thinking of changing my nutrients in the future because all I have ever used are these, could do with comparing them with other brands. 18/5/19. Popped my seed into a jiffy pellet after letting the pellet sit in a ph 5.5 Ec 0.2 solution. That's 5ml/L Katanna Roots. The seed may have gone in a little deep, we shall see. Placed the Jiffy in my humidity dome. 21/5/19 Day 0. Seedling starting to show. Now it's been moved from humidity dome to the 10L bucket with 8L in 0.25ml/L Coco A&B, 5ml/L Roots. Ph 5.8 Ec 0.3 22/5/19 Day 1. All is looking good. the Ph had risen to 6.4 and Ec to 0.5 after 24hrs. Have added Ph down to get Ph5.7 26/5/19 Day 5. All is looking good, the Ph has been rising slowly but the odd drop of Ph down sorts that out. I let the Ph creep up to 6.1 then bring it down to about 5.7 the Ec seems stable at 0.5 28/5/19 Day 7. Week has flown by. The Ph 5.9 and Ec 0.4 am not going to do a reservoir yet, going to see if I can get to 10 days before I change it.
