Shire_gorilla Leaves are looking quite dark and have a rubbery feel to them. They are different to any other leaves I've had so if you think it's anything to stress about drop me a comment. I've not started to feed yet, just water.

Shire_gorilla Just letting it do it's thing. I have tucked the odd leaf but will see what nature does with it.

Shire_gorilla Over the last week I've taken a few of the big fan leaves out as they were taking over and needed to create some space for air and light. Upped my watering marginally as she is a thirsty beast who's leaves feel heavier and denser than any that I've had before.

Shire_gorilla I can't work out if this plant is suicidal or if I'm killing it. The yellowing of the leaves continues. It started with the bottom leaves and worked it's way up. Then the tips and outer edges started to crisp up. When the yellowing started I increased calmag to 1.5ml/l from 1 ml/l, and then this week dropped it to 0.75. I have brought the feed down from 4 to 3 ml/l. I also bought a pH metre, the ph of the mix was sitting at 5.7 so I've brought that up to 6.9. My next course of action is to test the pH of the water run off to see what that is reading. I'm at a bit of a loss as I really wanted this to go well.

Yeah man, I feel that 😅 some girls really like to make things complicated… Had a few like that myself, looked like they were slowly giving up 💀 Your idea with checking runoff pH is a solid move 👌 I’d also check runoff EC, that can tell you a lot about what’s going on in the medium. Could definitely be some kind of lockout. Don’t give up yet – sometimes they just need a bit of correction 😏💦

It looks like an iron deficiency caused by pH being out of range in week 5. Then the pH problem persists in the subsequent weeks. I’m concerned the damage is irreversible at this stage, and the final yield will be low. When this happened to me in DWC systems in the past, I stopped trying to recover the plants because the effort simply wasn’t worth the outcome. In hydro, everything progresses much faster anyway — the difference between week 5 and week 7 was visible within roughly 48 hours. Take a look here: https://dutch-passion.com/en/blog/a-visual-guide-to-cannabis-deficiencies-n987
