PapaTerps ZkyscraperZ - N.Y.Ceeds
Hello, SPRING is upon us and grows that I had started before and around Christmas are now well into their flowering period or harvested, so I decided to select a few strains to start growing for this Spring and into Summer. π
ZkyscraperZ by N.Y.Ceeds is a hybrid strain, with genetics stemming from OZ Kush, a demo cut and SpritZer, which is a famous strain in the New York area! I've selected this pheno for its unusual flavours, which have been described as being fruity with anise and hints of grapes, with her affects leaning more towards the relaxing and calming end, perfect for the end of the day! Since this is an "unknown" brand and strain on this site, I will link the cannverify site and the site where I purchased the seed so if you're interested, you can look for yourself:
* cannverify: https://cannverify.com/verify/9070102VC
* purchase: https://house-of-seeds.de/en/products/zkyscraperz-nyceeds
As always, you are all more than welcome to follow along with my grow, I will try to put as much information about my process without overloading the diary with "too much language" ensuring to keep the key points and not to repeat steps that I have already mentioned in the diary π Happy Growing guys! β
Day 1 - Seed dropped into a cup of water, RO and pH'd to 6.3. She will remain here until the seed pops and a taproot appears.
Day 2 - Seedling has not yet popped, but she was the last to be dropped into water, so I'll give her another day or so ππ»
Day 3 - a nice taproot has appeared from the seed, so I have transferred her from her germination cup to her starter pot. I created a 2cm creator in the starter pot, dropped the seed in, taproot facing down, and then covered her with loose soil and watered it with about 20ml of RO tap water with root nutrients and pH'd to 6.3 ππ»
Day 4 - she has appeared, but her shell is still in the soil, so I will leave her for a few more hours to work her way out π€π» She was tall enough after a few hours, for me to remove her shell and membrane. Her starter leaves are now exposed to the light, so for now, I let her grow ππ»
Day 8 - she's growing really well and is developing her first set of leaves really well! I've moved all the seedlings into larger starter pots, to allow them to grow a bit more before I move them into their main grow pots - this is mainly to buy me another week or two, to finish off the plants that are currently in my veg tent ππ»

Day 19 - watered with 200ml of RO tap water every second day, water mixed with the defined nutrients, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! She is still in her starter pot for now, but tomorrow she will be moved into her main grow pot, which will be a 10L fabric pot. She has grown really well, but she won't progress too much more until her roots have more space to grow. I will update this again when she has been transfered into her new pot π
Day 21 - I've transplanted her to her main grow pot, a 10L fabric pot. I also watered her with 1L of RO tap water, with defined nutrients mixed individually in order and then pH'd to 6.3. I will let her settle in over the next few days before she's watered again. ππ»

Day 34 - watered with 1.5L of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed in order and then pH'd to 6.3. She has made great progress and has developed 9 budsites, so I decided to top her reducing her to an optimal 8 stems ππ» I've also removed some of her fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration ππ» she'll be left to grow now for a few more days before we start to prepare her for bloom ππ». I'm really impressed with her veg so far, for an unknown breeder, she has totally outperformed the more expensive brands so far and already looks set for bloom! I'm excited for this ones journey ππ»

Day 40 - watered with 1.5L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and pH'd to 6.3. She has grown really well after her topping last week and is just about ready to switch into bloom! I've altered her nutrients in her feed to make the transition to bloom a little less stressful and I've performed some LST on her lower nodes, to force them to grow out and away from the upper nodes, so they get more light during bloomππ» I've also removed a few fan leaves to improve general airflow and light penetration πͺπ»so yeah, this will be her last week in veg, from next week, she will be in the flowering tent ππ». She's looking a little sad at the moment, because I haven't watered her in a few days and it's just about to switch to nighttime schedule, so don't worry about her π

Day 48
πΏ She has been watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and pH'd to 6.3! I've upped her nutrients to include more bloom nutrients, because she has been moved into the flowering tent and is now on a 12-12 schedule πͺπ»π.
πΈ She should start her transition into flower over the next couple of days as she reacts to the new light schedule and will then begin the stretch phase!ππ»
βοΈ I will not perform any training or defoliation on her, to allow her to focus all her energy on the stretch πͺπ»

πΏ She has been watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and pH'd to 6.3! No alterations to her feeding this weed, she is in stretch!ππ» From next week, her grow nutrients will be reduced and bloom nutrients increased ππ»
πΈ She has started her transition into flower as her budsites have started to appear and white pistils have appeared on her stems!ππ» She has also stretched really well and has more than doubled her hight πͺπ»

Day 62
πΏ She has been watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and then finally pH'd to 6.5ππ»This week, I increased her bloom nutrients and reduced the BioGrow nutrients as she is just about to finish up her stretch ππ»
πΈ She has also stretched really well and her flower sites have been developed to a point where they are now clearly defined on the plant, she has a really nice structure with good internodal spacing and strong stems! Over the next few days she will finish up her stretch phase and then switch her focus over to bulking her flower ππ»
βοΈ No work on her just yet, as she is still in stretch, but in a few days, I will defoliate and lollipop her, with a goal to improve light penetration and airflow and to remove any budsites that are too far from the light ππ»

πΏ She has been watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and then finally pH'd to 6.5ππ»This week, I increased her bloom nutrients again as she will need the extra nutrients as she starts to bulk her flower
πΈ She has pretty much finished her stretch and has now switched focus to developing and bulking her flower, which is is covered in; maybe the most bud-sites I've seen on a plant this size - her scent has just about started to appear also, very fruity with notes of gas π
βοΈ I've lollipopped her again, removing all of her lowest most budsites and fan leaves, as they are just too far away from the light source - but other than that, she hasn't required much effort ππ»

πΏ She has been watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients and then finally pH'd to 6.5. She is approaching harvest, so her nutrients will start to be reduced over the next week or so, before she begins flush ππ»
βοΈ No work on her this week, as nothing have been required! From next week, I will start to remove some of the larger sugar leaves to ensure that her bud is not being instructed.
πΈ Shes into week 7 of bloom now and her flower is finishing off the bulking phase and will soon be reaching full maturity. From today, I will start checking her pistils and trichomes daily to track maturity, as well as for pests and diseases, which might affect the plant before harvest πͺπ» Her flower is big and thick and shaped like a pine trees, there are lots of greens, blues and purples, and her aroma is very subtle yet sharp, I can't place it just yet; other aroma in the tent are overtaking it...

Day 105
πΏ She has been watered with 3L of plain RO tap water pH'd to 6.3. She is approaching harvest, so I've steadily reduced her nutrients over the last few feedings until all nutrients had been removed from the water. She has now received her final watering, so once she dries back I will harvest her ππ»
βοΈ No work on her this week as I removed a lot of foliage from her last week.
πΈ Shes into week 9 of bloom and her pistils have mostly turned amber and her trichomes are basically all milky with about 20% turning amber, so we are maybe two days from harvest ππ» I've dropped her down and away from the light source so she stays cooler and to delay her dry back by a day or so, to give her more time to use up any nutrients left in the soil. That's all guys, cya in a few days π»
