birdmountain There were three sisters, living off the sun and without Plagron, but one has died, sailing off into Nirvana. We are left with two sisters, but one of us remains small, not developing any leaves, as it normally should. ...... 😔 All three seeds germinated, but only the one that formed roots first is developing as desired. The next one germinated a day later and is not developing any leaves except for the cotyledon. The third seed only germinated on the fourth day, and the root first grew downwards and then back up. This seed did not develop at all and has not even unfolded the cotyledons and has withered. It has already been removed. They received exactly the same soil composition, moisture, light & temperature. The seeds were placed in Lightmix soil, with regular fertilized potting soil underneath. My conclusion; a seed is not just a seed. Oh well, it happens, that's why multiple seeds were sown. However, one is developing splendidly, especially after I raised the humidity and temperature to 28°C during the day and a humidity of 74%. Unfortunately, the other seedling hasn't developed further this week; it did establish roots in the soil, but there was zero development above ground. Therefore, it was removed. The humidifier has increased the humidity and prevented the soil from drying out. I only added minimal water, hardly worth mentioning. It has beautiful, large, and evenly shaped leaves, so the journey can continue. The seedling phase is over, and in about two weeks, flowering will begin; until then, it needs to stretch. First signs of side branch development are appearing in the leaf axils. Since this is my first indoor-grown autoflower, I won't be making any cutting or bending measures to see how the autoflower develops in my grow box. Among the three sisters, the remaining plant shows consistent vigorous growth and makes a very good impression. Unfortunately, the other seedling did not develop further this week – it formed roots, but there was no change above ground. Therefore, I removed it. The plant has large, nicely shaped, and even leaves, so it is well-prepared for the next stages of development. The seedling phase is complete, and flowering will begin in about two weeks. birdmountain In the third week, growth has exploded as expected. To promote the development of the side branches, the first pair of leaves was removed below the tip. So far, everything is going as desired. A bit of vinasse from sugar beets and two sprays of the leaves with an extract from seaweed for mineral supply have been administered. She now needs a bit more water than in the second week.

There are some yellowing leaf tips; I suspect the roots have penetrated into the lower substrate fertilized with cow manure, which is why there was no fertilization this week. She now needs significantly more water than in the past weeks and is being watered twice daily. Additionally, some sugar beet molasses was added. birdmountain Since the weather has been quite warm this week, she spent a few days during the day in the foil tent. The growth has already slowed down; I had hoped for more, but it’s probably my fault and affects both plants. To lower the pH level, I added vinegar to the water for a while until the watering water had a pH of 6. Apparently, that didn’t suit them too well; the lower leaves are dark green, but the higher ones are getting yellower. At least she is forming many flowers; I hope she survives my torture.

birdmountain She has stopped growing in height and is forming her flowers. Although she is small, she still has four weeks until harvest, and hopefully, the buds will develop robustly by then. The scent is still weak and doesn't have a specific profile of terpenes.

birdmountain The delicate lady, now with well-developed hard flower clusters and a promising scent, can still ripen for another week. According to Zamnesia, which indicates 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest, she should be ready then. The leaves continue to lose color, the buds are getting thicker, and the scent is increasing. In the meantime, she also spends the nights in the tent, and the back-and-forth transport has come to an end.

birdmountain She spent almost the entire week outside, except for two rainy nights when the risk of bud rot at 89% humidity was too high for me. The buds have gotten a bit thicker and larger, and the smell is very sweet. I still can't bring myself to harvest her; she still has too many fresh, bright pistils. I also haven't found any browned trichomes that would indicate full maturity. So, it's going into another week of flowering.

birdmountain I would have liked to harvest them, but they're not ready yet. During the cold nights and days of the "Ice Saints," they spent their days indoors. I've also noticed that they've been visited by mites. The magnifying glass confirmed it. I can't say whether it happened outdoors or indoors. I think it's too late for a neem treatment. I'm looking forward to when it finally gets warm!

birdmountain The effort required to get even more out of the plant wouldn't have been worth it anymore. So it stayed in the dark for another 36 hours before it was harvested. It's now hanging in the grow box and will slowly dry, and I'll be able to provide a smoke report by the end of the month.
