One of the shells cracked slightly after soaking for 24 hours. Seeds were placed in wet paper towel, in a plate cover with another plate, on a heat mat.
Both seeds sprouted within 24hrs. Root seems healthy and growing, planted out after 36hrs or so into paper cup with 70/30 coco-perlite mix.
Both plants have grown a bit with Black Sugar showing third set of leaves, on day 14.
Was a bit concerned about cold day/night temps so will keep the heatmat and thermostat on.
Beginning of week 3, not much growth from the previous week so will give it a bigger feed, increase nutes and monitor.
Replanted the Purple Kush auto now on day 17 into a 3gallon pot. About a 70/30 Coco/perlite mix, mixed some mykos in and sprinkled in the hole, and a little bit of root blast.
Day 21 - replanted the black sugar into a bigger pot - special soil and perlite mix.
Including humate, gypsum, vegetable essentials, ocean solids, oyster grid, dolomite and guano.
On day 16 today. They seem to be a bit stunted, perhaps due to the cold.
Wondering if I should I replant into bigger pots or wait another week?
Especially the one on the left since it's an auto, it may start flowering in a couple of weeks.
Honestly ya its recomended to start autos in the pots they will finish in transplanting will stunt it a bit too and it looks like the bright yellow centres of new leaf is a mild zinc deficiency . also over nutrienting can cause the plant to lock out nutes and stop growing all together . a wise grower once told me with liquid nutrients less is more and to start at a smaller dosage than actually recomended on the bottle then adjust to your plants cues . id transplant now cause root bound plants can go into nutrient lock out too . just some tips many pros always repeat and really recommended.
The auto in Coco (on right) is starting to look better, more nodes and bigger leaves.
The black sugar have not improved much, could be because of transplant an adjusting in the soil mix. Will keep an eye on it
The auto has grown a bit and looking healthy.
Topped it today (sixth node).
The black sugar on the other hand not so much as the lower leaves keeping turning yellow. Suspect it's nutrient lockout, as it has been given some nutes, and soil should have enough Nitrogen and other nutes.
Flushed with Ph'd 7 water and topped it. Will wait a couple days before watering again, with no nutes unless there's an issue.
The auto is pushing on and forming new leaves after the topping, looks healthy.
The other plant still has issues, lower leaves tips keep turning yello/brown and then dying.
Only watering with a teaspoon sillicon and callmag added.

Should I replant in Coco or just keep flushing it?
Transplanting her will cause stress and stunt her, but so will overfeeding. If your flushing isn't helping, then I would transplant her sooner rather then later. When you transplant make sure your PH is correct and you can add microbes and seaweed/kelp to help the roots and reduce stress. Start low with your feed and work your way up. good luck!
Middle of week 7, the PK started flowering beginning of the week, looking very pretty and reaching for the lights, yay!
I transplanted the sugar into Coco with a good dose of mykos and Rhizotonic. Remove the lowest set of leaves and hope that she will recover well.
Slight yellow on leave tips (the PK) don't think it's lack of nutrients more likely Excess nitrogen. Have given it a lighter feed without Guano. Will monitor and flush if needed.
Have switched lights to 20/4 for flowering the auto. Will flip the sugar once the auto is done.
Got a new PH and Ppm pens this week (bluelab) which should help to make more accurate readings, I believe my previous feeding was too high.
Nutrient readings now: Black sugar EC 1.0 (around 700), purple kush 1.6-1.8 (1200).
Also changed bloom nutes to include CMX flairform for cal-mag and iron. Headmasta to increase yield and resin hopefully. The buds on the kush are slightly bigger and the hairs are still white/greenish so should have a couple weeks left to flower.
PK trichomes are turning milky thought buds are not fattening much.
Feeding more bloom nutes incl Headmasta, these photos are the day before feeding them recharge.
The sugar is still struggling a bit, pH 6.2 and ppm about 1.2 which may be a little bit high.
Now at day 70, which should be typical for her to be ready for harvesting.
The trichomes are about 20% milky.
Don't want to wait to long and lose too much cbd.
Should I taking the tops now and leave the popcorn buds another week, or feed/flush and wait a week?
My first question is what light are you using and how many watts. I have had this problem a FEW times and your going to be shocked by my answer. If you are using a high intensity LED like a quantum you are actually deficient in phosphorus,potash or calcium. It took me forever to figure it out. Same exact thing in week two or three for on multiple projects. NOW through the help of another forum I have been using the recommended dosage plus an additional 50% early on in flower. Have a look see at my PPM in me reservoir on my last two. Prepare to be floored. But to me it looks like they are starving in one aspect and your lights are to close. Raise them up to maximize your footprint and let them have it as far as the NPK is concerned. It’s scary at first is soiless and hydro but we got you. If you are still apprehensive send me a message or let me know and I’ll point you to the other forum that I’m referring to and you can read over and talk with people a little more frequent.

purple kush got a bit fatter and pistals almost all turning brown, I think she's ready soon. Will have a closer look.
Sugar is looking better throughout except some browning tips. Going to clone and flip her soon.
Buds fattened up and the trics are looking good, more amber than a week ago and I think ready for harvesting.
Did actually take the top off a couple of days ago.

My first auto, so it was a learning experience. She was had a slow start but that might have been due to the cold, and transplanting shock from cup to pot.
Flushed with ph6 water and bit of cal-mag, and Flipped her into flower about a week ago. So this is actually Flower week 2.
Still having a problem with leave tips turning brown. I think it's cal-mag or potassium lockout, but note sure.
have also been giving heavy feeds , EC 1.4 - 1.8 which is approx 1000- 1260 ppm.
With pH fluctuation between 6.3 and 5.8
In the end got a really small harvest, about a 1/4 ounce. Lessons learned here is to dial in the nutes, lights and pH during veg as she doesn't easily recover from burns.
Love the sweet taste though!
She is looking good, finally getting to the end of flowering. I was away for a almost 3 weeks and was a bit concerned about the leaf burn/issues.
Changed the nutes up to just bloom nutes and a bit of callmag. Hopefully she will fatten up a bit more now towards the end.
The last 2 weeks should be getting nutrients out not ramping up. These weeks is when buds put on most weight. I would harvest when at least 5% amber the rest milky white. If you harvest immature buds you'll end up with low thc, smell, taste, and weight. Also probably end up with headache weed. Patience is key to good smoke.
Tricomes turned milky and signs of amber, she's finally finishing..can't wait. Looks like snow...
Not expecting a big yield, pmostly popcorn buds, will be happy with what she delivers though.
Have been flushing for more than a week now, just Ph'd water. Leaves turning very yellow and brown.
