Bread_n_Buds We still have a couple of plants finishing maturing in the small grow tent, but we have to hurry. We're heading to the Mary Jane Berlin, and I'd like to have most of them already well into maturity.
Once again, our friends at Zamnesia, probably knowing I'm a gray-haired guy, are playing on my nostalgic feelings, and after Classic Skunk, they sent me Blue Widow to grow. It's not as historic as the first, but it's the cross of two incredibly historic and stable strains: White Widow, known for its potency and a favorite for years, and Blueberry, of which Zamnesia has an incredibly good version. Baskets of fruit are promised with every toke.
The seeds were germinated in a small glass of water for about 24 hours. Once they hatched, they were placed as soon as possible in peat cups filled with fresh Plagron BioLightMix, ideal for the first week of life.
Fertilizers used: We're in the very early stages of growth, so let's go easy on the soil to ensure good germination. Add only:
- 1 ml/l Pure Zym
- 1 ml/l Power Roots

Zamnesia Description - Blue Widow is a favorite of many connoisseurs. The combination of highly resistant genetics with those with fruitier flavors has created a strain that hits so hard it's won over even the most experienced smokers. This shouldn't be surprising when you know Blue Widow's genetic pedigree.
One of this strain's distinctive features is its sweet flavors, accompanied by an unmistakable fruity aroma—so fruity it literally inebriates the taste buds. Its nature induces a predominantly cerebral and very potent effect. Prepare to feel as if your mind has left your skull, letting you drift for several hours before returning to earth. That said, Blue Widow offers entirely new cerebral experiences, but that doesn't mean it's too heavy to handle; on the contrary, it allows for clarity of thought, inspiring you and increasing your concentration.
Therapeutically, Blue Widow is particularly suitable for treating symptoms of stress, anxiety, nausea, mild pain, and loss of appetite.
Blue Widow is one of the tastiest strains in our catalog and offers a potency that's worth considering. If you're looking for a connoisseur-worthy strain capable of producing exceptional buds of the highest quality, then this strain of cannabis seeds is for you.

Bread_n_Buds * Quick photos of the grow tent due to a change of location. I've moved to southern Spain and am building the new grow area, which will be ready in 7-10 days.
Lots of new things coming soon...
The two Zamnesia Blue Widows are working hard to get ready for flowering, which will begin on May 1st. I've already set up the first 12/12 today. We have two plants, one with a "normal" Christmas tree-style technique.
The one I worked with the techniques was topped high at the 5th internode because the plant showed some signs of mutant growth at the beginning, but then, as the interrods increased, it became normal, so I decided to leave it at the 3rd internode. The abnormal one at the 5th internode. I topped it and left some stuff underneath, including some nice, irregular branches that I like to see.
The other one, left to grow freely and beautifully, has everything it takes to become a beautiful medium/large plant. It hasn't been growing for more than three weeks, but I see it ready to give its best.
Feeding // We're still in the vegetative stage. You need to look at the plants and decide how much base fertilizer to give. If they're too dark, reduce or stop watering after 2/3. If they're too light, give the maximum recommended dose. Plants with toppings will slow down and therefore require less base fertilizer. Free-growing plants require more or less the recommended dose.

Lots of new things coming soon...
The two Zamnesia Blue Widows have reached the beginning of flowering. They're not huge, but I'm sure they'll yield good results. We have good canopy, and we're confident they'll flower well.
The one with the technique was topped high at the fifth internode because it initially showed some signs of abnormal growth, but then, as the internodes increased, it returned to normal, so I decided to leave it at the third internode. The abnormal one is at the fifth internode. I topped it, leaving some of the undersides, including some nice, irregular branches that I like.
The other, left to grow freely and vigorously, has all the makings of a beautiful medium/large plant. It hasn't been growing for more than three weeks, but I see it ready to give its best.
Nutrition // We're in the first week of flowering, around 12/12, and there are still few signs of pre-flowering. It's very important to start immediately with Power Buds, which stimulates bud formation. We directly replace Alga Grow with Alga Bloom (without thinning as with autoflowering plants) and leave Power Roots and Vita Race foliar sprays for the first two weeks at most. DO NOT START RIGHT AWAY. GREEN SENSATION should be administered from the fourth week of flowering, as Plagron has repeatedly recommended. If you notice rapid flowering, start from the third week, never during pre-flowering. It's a booster.
- 4 ml/L Alga Bloom
- 1 ml/L Pure Zym
- 1 ml/L Power Roots
- 1 ml/L Silic Rock
- 1 ml/L Sugar Royal
- 1 ml/L Cal Mag Pro
- 5 ml/L Vita Race (foliar application twice a week)

Bread_n_Buds The two photoperiod Zamnesia Blue Widow plants are truly in excellent health, and we've successfully reached the third week of flowering.
Plant #2 - The one used the topping technique was topped high at the fifth internode because it initially showed signs of abnormal growth, but then, as the internodes increased, it returned to normal, so I decided to top it and leave the rest. A few extra branches are visible, but I like crazy plants; this one had a few three-node gaps at the beginning, but then it returned to normal.
Plant 1 - Left to grow freely, this plant didn't seem in great shape, but flowering is giving it beauty and vigor.
Nutrition // We're still on the early flowering program. We remind everyone that Plagron recommends Green Sensation, so starting from the fourth week onward, if you add the bosster earlier, you're wrong; the initial flower formation doesn't need it. But Power Buds is very much needed from the first day of flowering as a stimulant for initiation and flower point formation.

Bread_n_Buds This is the HARVEST report of the first Blue Widow by Zamnesia, the finish day of the second one next week.
This plant grew without any particular techniques, so in a classic "Christmas tree" fashion, but with a large, pointed top that isn't artificial but a gift of nature.
I've said many times that wherever Blueberry is found in Zamnesia strains, it's always a very good strain. This is a very good classic strain, not a first-generation one, but a little later, and involves crossing Blueberry x White Widow.
The main characteristic of these plants is an excellent, big, well-structured main cola.
This plant was left to grow simply, and after 3-4 weeks of vegetative growth, we successfully entered flowering with a beautiful main cola, good peripheral buds, and a good amount of resin.
The flowers aren't very compact, but they still have their appeal.
Growth is clearly excellent thanks to a controlled PPFD. We're providing the right amount of light at every stage and are experiencing potency spikes thanks to Zamnesia.
PPFD - We achieve a PPFD of 800 μmol/m²/s (shorter plants) up to approximately 1250 μmol/m²/s, using CO2 to reduce clade formation and high-intensity lighting.
Measurements taken with Phantom Photobio https://photobio.com/
Lighting - The lamp used is the fantastic Zamnesia Phytonaut 480W LED, set at 85% to provide a good average PPFD for all plants, both those closer to 20 cm (1250 μmol/m²/s) and those around 40-50 cm (750-850 μmol/m²/s). The older plants were almost done, otherwise I would have double-potted them.
Z - https://www.zamnesia.io/en/14526-led-cultivation-lamp-phytonaut-480.html
The cultivation system is the Zamnesia Ecosystem, complete with a powerful and modern ventilation and extraction system, a very intuitive controller, the excellent lamp mentioned above, and a grow box made of elegant and fabric on the outside and the highest refined quality on the inside. The steel frame is unmatched on the market.

Links may be local; Google the products if you have trouble using them.
Nutrients - We are in the final stages of using only water at the right pH, but the plant was grown with Plagron soil and basic nutrients (strictly organic) and plenty of additives, but with proper flushing.
All nutrients are available on the Zamnesia website. Also check out the living substrate and fantastic new product line from Zammi.

This strain deserves a real 10 star rating because even in the summer it gave me flowers, especially with this plant released in the last week, of super quality. Furthermore, smelling it definitely takes you to heaven and takes you back to a Back in the Days; you won't mind. All the classic strains remind me of my numerous trips to Amsterdam, my absolute favorite city. The Blueberry genetic line, present in many Zamnesia strains, is also pure magic. I encourage you to try them all. It's a truly fantastic strain on its own and for crossbreeding.

Bread_n_Buds This is the harvest of the second Blue Widow, which gave us beautiful, firm, dense flowers of excellent quality. The other plant is documented in detail in the previous week's harvest.
This plant was grown with the help of a main line, but without LST training. Then, topping at the 4th or 5th internode, letting it go for another three internodes, and then topping again once or twice. I really like the plant this way, so it's very regular and aligned.
