Natrona Auto Black Cherry Punch Pyramid Seeds
Hello Friends,
I won 1st place Meme of the Month June 2025 sponsored by @PyramidSeeds. Winnings included 1 strain from each of their lines: Gold, Heart and Fast. I chose Black Cherry Punch auto as my choice from their Heart Line.
I was anxious to start another grow however, after completing the Strawberry collection grow, I pulled my back cleaning the tent and rearranging the wiring. Meanwhile I downloaded the Kannabia 2026 lunar grow calendar. It indicated that March 28-31 is the best time for germination, so I waited to try out the recommendation while my back healed. I observed the truth in this lunar planting guide. I planted peppers during the off week, and none germinated. Two Black Cherry Punch seeds planted 3/25 germinated in 3 days on 3/28 and #3 on 3/29.
For this grow I am using Real Growers- Grow Dots at a heavy feed 3 tsp per gallon of Happy Frog potting soil. I will only have to ph the water.
3/25 Note the pic shows 5+2 on the package but only 6 seeds. When I was opening the pull tab, it opened spilling seeds out on the counter and floor. I lost 1 seed in the process. I put 3 seeds in root riot cubes that had been soaked in filtered water. I put these in a germination box. This has a tray with a wicking mat, humidity dome and LEDs that use a combination of blue, red, and white lights.
3/28 BCP 1 & 2 germinated. BCP1 already shows the first true leaves.
3/29 BCP #3 germinated.

β’ Powerful Effect: With a high THC content reaching up to 25%, it provides a relaxing effect that helps manage chronic stress, pain, insomnia, and depression.

Technical Specifications:
β’ Genetics: Indica-dominant hybrid
β’ THC: Up to 25%
β’ Flowering: 65 days

Ideal Growing Conditions:
Auto Black Cherry Punch, as an indica-dominant strain, performs well both indoors and outdoors. However, due to its dense structure, it can be prone to mold in high humidity conditions. Therefore, it's important to monitor humidity levels and provide good ventilation. Optimal results are achieved by light defoliation to improve lighting to the lower branches and prevent moisture buildup.
Conclusion:
Auto Black Cherry Punch by Pyramid Seeds is the ideal choice for those who appreciate sweet and floral aromas and are looking for a powerful means of relaxation. This strain will provide unforgettable moments, filling your mind and body with pleasant relaxation and a sense of calm.
Auto Black Cherry Punch β Frequently Asked Questions
Is Black Cherry Punch a sativa or indica?
Auto Black Cherry Punch by Pyramid Seeds is an indica-leaning hybrid. It combines relaxing body effects with a clear, pleasant head high typical of modern dessert hybrids.
Is Cherry Punch a good strain?
Yes. This lineage is prized for its intense cherry/berry dessert terpenes, dense resinous buds and a balanced effect profile. Our autoflowering version keeps the flavor while making the grow cycle simple and fast.
Does Black Cherry have seeds?
If you mean the cannabis strain: yes β Auto Black Cherry Punch feminized autoflower seeds are available from Pyramid Seeds. They flower automatically and are designed for reliable, uniform results.
Who bred the Black Cherry Punch?
Pyramid Seeds developed its own selection and stabilization of the Auto Black Cherry Punch line. The classic βBlack Cherry Punchβ name is associated with genetics descended from Black Cherry Pie Γ Purple Punch; our team created an autoflowering version through in-house breeding and selection.
How long does Auto Black Cherry Punch take from seed to harvest?
Typical autos finish in about 9β10 weeks from seed, depending on environment, pot size and light intensity. Cooler nights or sub-optimal light can extend the cycle.
What does Auto Black Cherry Punch taste and smell like?
Expect a sweet black-cherry, berry and candy profile with hints of dessert pastry. High resin production makes it attractive for extracts.
Is Auto Black Cherry Punch beginner-friendly?
Yes. As an autoflower, it doesnβt need photoperiod changes. It responds well to LST (low-stress training), moderate feeding, and stable 18β20 h light indoors.
Why didnβt my Black Cherry Punch turn purple?
Purple hues depend on phenotype and conditions. Slightly cooler night temps near the end of flowering, strong light, and proper ripeness encourage color. If temps stay warm or plants finish early, buds may remain green but potency and flavor are unaffected.
Do I need to change light cycles for this strain?
No. Autoflowering plants bloom automatically. Indoors, keep a continuous schedule (e.g., 18β20 hours of light) from start to finish.

Natrona Auto Black Cherry Punch Pyramid Seeds

4/4 After transplanting all three Black Cherry Punches to their final 3-gallon pots and starting the tent automations, I discovered the sensor probe was broken. The AI controller did not recognize the device so none of the automated devices worked. This meant I had to manually control the 16sqft tent space. Daily filling the humidifier and turning on and off the fans and lights all without ventilation. During week one, I used distilled water for misting.
When I started watering with tap water, I discovered my PH pen is way out of balance. I ordered a new one. By 4/7 BCP 2 & 3 looked weird.
4/8 I started 3 new seeds by soaking in water with hydrogen peroxide overnight. Then put in paper towels overnight. They had ΒΌ inch tales when I planted in Coast of Maine and Myco in the hole.
4/9 I removed BCP 2 & 3 from their pots. Iβm not sure if the soil with the grow dots is too strong for the seeds or not. But in comparison, the 3 Auto Ducci started the same day and with the same soil preparation and are growing fine.
Light misting daily. 4/14 Black Cherry Punch 5 & 6 are up and #4 died. Iβm going to say the soil is too strong for them.
So out of 6 black cherry punch seeds, it looks like my grow will be 3 BCP #1 5,6.
4/16 BCP #1 is 2 weeks ahead of her sisters #5 & 6. 150ml
5 &6 got 75 ml.
I added Silica Gold 2ml/g
Ph 6.15, ppm 371, 77F.
I wanted to start growing seeds Iβve won so I
have Auto Ducci running beside Black Cherry Punch since both strains are 65 day from seed to harvest ..
If colors emerge, BCP should be purple and Ducci pink, anxious for flowers.

I donβt mind that the PPMs are so low because I have GrowDots at a heavy dosage for the duration of this grow and none are showing nutrient deficiencies.
Black Cherry Punch1has had a flourish of activity this week. She has more than tripled in size with her stretch and is now 14 inches tall and started flower. The nodes are spaced about 4.5 inches apart.
BCP5 is the runt of the litter. She is only 2 inches tall and failed to grow the leaf pair on the first node but has balanced out on the second node.
BCP6 is 4 inches tall and coming along nicely.
Apologies if I havenβt visited your diary lately. The system only allows me to visit one diary a day. When I go to the next personβs diary, the first personβs diaries pull up repeatedly. Iβve reported it and hopefully they will fix it soon.

This week Iβve been flushing with plain ph 6.5 water. BCP1 is in flower and doing fine. BCP6 shows the start of a nutrient issue and BCP5 looks very green. Ducci, also shown in the group pic has nutrient issues on all 3 plants. I mention this because Iβm trying GrowDots for the first time and seeing that different strains and within the same strain differences in how the plants respond to the nutrients.
Iβm using Grow dots at 15ml/gal. I used a heavier dose because it was mentioned that they were heavy feeders. I also used the heavy dose for those sativas (Amnesia & Hawaiian Snow) with 10-14 week grow periods. This heavy dose did not pose any issues early on with any of the plants. But now as time progressed lock out is affecting them. My thoughts are that until you know how a strain behaves, GrowDots should be used at the lowest rate and add a .25 dose to topsoil later if more is needed. I like the ease of just ph the water just not inconsistent results.
BCP1 has a 45 day flower window from April 30 which puts harvest June 15th. BCP 5 & 6 are 2 weeks behind BCP1 but BCP6 started flower on May 14 (~July 1 harvest). BCP5 is just stating to show sex with white hairs.
Harvest for these will be staggered with BCP5 harvest eta mid-July. Thanks for stopping by.

This week Iβve been flushing with plain ph 6.5 water since each plant shows a different level of nutrient issues. All of the black cherry punch gals are in flower with a 45-day window. BCP1 started flower 4/30, which puts harvest June 15th. BCP 5 & 6 are 2 weeks behind BCP1. BCP6 now 24inches tall, started flower on May 14 (~July 1 harvest). BCP5 had a 8 inch stretch this week and is now 20 inches tall. In addition, has started to bloom on May 19. That estimates harvest July 10th.
Thanks for stopping by.

These gals remain in the tent and have more room now that I have moved the others outside. They share space with Ducci Auto. Black Cherry Punch auto did not like the Grow Dots and showed nutrient issues early on, so I continue flushing with 1gal plain water ph 6.31 and 224 ppm. BCP 5 is bushy compared to #1 &6. Buds on 1 & 6 are showing some orange hairs.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the busted automation... it brings me back to creating a grow room with my dad in the early 2000s when I first started growing... learned a lot from him! Automation is so useful though now, especially in these tents. I hope you're getting a new controller soon!
