The haze seeds popped real quick I put them in root riot damped with clonex and water, 1 teaspoon/gallon. I am excited to see how these work in the summer heat here. probably get 90 in the tent.. just a note that this is the second week not the first, I was stoned and deleted the first week. no big deal, these should take awhile to become something we all like. so far I am very impressed with the germ rate. 2 in less than 24 hrs. and still have 3 more. thanks dinafem
man it has been hot here and it is not even summer. well in the tent I have the two sisters and they are getting hot. it was close to 93 on the reader but it is the humidity that is worrying me. it reads 20%, I had a big problem trying to get a garden started awhile back and I heard I was over watering to giving nutrients too soon, the more I researched my problem the more I found that the humidity really matters for these to take off. I found that humidity breaks down to relative humidity. yes that is the true humidity inside anyways. there is a real big math table that helps you dial in what you need. right now I am too high in heat and humidity is low. the one sister I bent the thing last week and put cloth medical tape and some toothpicks to keep her up, to me today she seems to want some food as she looks starved, but I have my fingers crossed and hope these two take off when there roots settle in. this is a experiment for me on this grow.
I am using a 6x6x6 rock wool cube then I am using 3 gals of coco in the bag for the roots? to take off in. so I am hoping because of the heat, I should be able
to keep those roots damp at least for a few days time. I also have put the fan blowing on the tent wall and not directly on the plants, I was getting wind burn on my leaves,
I will be working on the heat issue as well, I need to get the temp down. I have a few ideas but I have to wait on the most part as my son leaves my daughter is home from school. so in the meantime I have the tent open now to lower the heat and like before I started having problems, so I need to keep the tent door shut to raise my humidity.
now the heat issue I have to solve with out making noise/ bigger fan motors. I do have an idea to perhaps try to vent the heat out more. just need the time to get it going.
hard to do for now.
1. better venting of hot air
2. cool the air down.
3. change light hours to 18 hours on. I have done this in the past but I ran them on 16hrs. right now I have them set for 21 hours on, losing 3 or 4 hours a day may work better as well.
I shall have these done asap. I need to make these sisters grow in to monsters.
I plan on using house and gardens, root stuff, and aqua flakes on one and nothing but foxfarm on the other? as aside by side. I have seen good stuff from the aqua flakes, so we will see. what else do I have to do but get it all together and figure out what these ladies like best, but they are in the end weeds.
ok so I got the timer set for a 17 on 7 off.
hoping this helps as well as I tuned the fan the other way to vent the heat but it does not suck hard, it is a desk top fan that I put into a Styrofoam cooler that I was trying to make one off those home made air conditioner, you freeze gallons of water and rotate them as needed, it kind a lowered the temps by a few degrees, I will keep an eye on it, but I will be trying to put a 6 inch inline in, I tried this before but it was too loud for my needs, so I will try to wrap it in a towel to dampen the sound, but not sure where I can mount it, I have limited space, in the mean time, I did some of the list. now I wait till next week
The sisters are still up and going. they got their first feeding of the above nutrients,
they looked like they needed it. Other wise not much goigng on yet. waiting for them to take off. I will now with these diaries, I will start to tell a story, I think no one really reads these to learn anything, I could be wrong. so I will smoke some hash and tell a story, maybe a long one or a short one. who knows what will happen, maybe nothing or maybe a movie, haha.
maybe you will have to read this to find out, maybe the story will be about a found bud.
perhaps it will be a continuous story.
along time ago on a plant in a far galaxy away there was a weed master who smoked every day, every night to maintain the brain, the weed master would smoke and grow and consume the great cannabis plant, to evolve it and see how high they can take it, to soar beyond the clouds, puffing away the pure bliss. a bliss that produced some of the finest clouds.
on the green world where would they grow, where would they go?
not very far said the green man. not very far.
we have everything we need here. we just want to smoke and grow. each day, everyday, every night.
maintain our standards in a bright haze in a skunk field of sticky buds.
whoa did you see that. a big puff of cloud.
until next time.
these two ladies are still up and going. I took out some of the bush on one and the other I am leaving it alone. no topping maybe just take of the bottom branches like the other. I will see how the one looks in a few days. these two should take off now. I will be running a uvb t5 light. I will run this or try to run it at 4 hours through out the grow, I am impressed as these two have both similar growth structure only one is smaller because there is not as much coco in the fabric pot. last week I started to tell you a story. perhaps if I remember were I left off, let me think.
The green man came in and went as quick as he puffed. They grew their buds in a classy joint uplifted in the spirit of the old west but with out the fire crackers being thrown into the air for it was a june night perhaps like this one chasing the dawn of the puffing cities in between the milk and honey, puff puff pass.
have some class until next week.
So I topped these two sisters about 4 days ago. one is a bit smaller and the other is bigger but both have the same growth patterns growing identical they where extreme bushes so I topped them and took out some vegetation and I am hoping to see good results. I guess I will find out if I fucked this up or will get a good yield on? ill find out in like 8 or so weeks.
so mr green why did you do this? I am not certain doctor chop and top.
now we wait till next week.
they are still up and going. I tied sown some of the branches to get some growth on the lower stuff but I for got to tie down a branch or 2. what mr green why did you do that?
they were lower branches ? yeah I know and i am hoping they will catch up mr green. other wise they seem ok with the heat, I have been running the uva/b plus t5 light. I intend to run this for at least 4 hrs/ this adds a lot of heat so I my have to turn the other off. the led over head. either way I can still keep it hot. yeah I know I am doing my best at 90 and it is a beast. it is 99 outside. I have good air flow but I am afraid to try to use the loud fan cause of noise. I also need the time to mess with it. kind of hard to do it now. perhaps later mr green
the sisters have been in flower maybe 4 days or so? anyways still up, gave them fetiloom bloom and root 9/58/8
just had a long day and needed to be done. the ph was 5.8 so it should be ok. I don't remember last weeks story about mr green but this weeks story is really funny since mr green like to smoke hash. im glad my mrs green does not smoke.
other wise I have beewn running the uvb light for about 3 hours almost daily as well as getting my temps down to almost acceptable heat. 86 yes I know those 2 degrees matter, but the the strain likes the heat it seems? until next week.
ok so this week has been hard I have been able to keep the temps 85 but this hard as it will be in the hundreds here the next few days. so I will be doing my best to keep this grow cool. I will put ice cubes on top of the grow media for a slow cool melt. I need to keep those roots cool. I will try to open the tent more and exchange the air out and try to lower things when I do. other wise the one sister that was chopped(lower branches taken off has started to have nice bud sites and it is developing daily. the other that I had topped I have not seen and good signs of flower, I mean she is in flower by maybe a few days? this will be good cause in 3 weeks I will be moving this grow to a cooler room so I will be excited to get a new grow in there. I hope that the heat does not fuck with my yield but ill find out. the other that was topped should be ok in 3 weeks so I should get a good yield from her. I fed her kelp and this is said to help with heat. i am doing the best I can with this heat and is the biggest reason I do not grow during these months the heat. 83 degrees and I freak out. so imagine my panic when I see that 92 degrees. heart attack. I've got this Mr. green, I've got this
the sisters are still up as it has been hot. heat wave. so it has been warmer in the tent, more than I like but I have been doing good exchanging out the air twice a day and I've been keeping those roots cool the best I can. the one that was chopped is about a week or two in flower than the other that was topped, the topped one now about a week. they are coming along good and I got my fingers crossed that kelp will help. other wise Mr. green what do you think?
the sisters made it another week, it has been hot and we are suppose to have more heat, so in the mean time I have been trying to keep those roots cooler. trying to ke the temps down in the tent, doing my best mr green. anyways the haze that was chopped has more a haze smell, while the one that was topped is more sweet musky smell and she has a lighter green to her while the one that was chopped has a darker green, also noticed the trichomes are starting to form on both. so far I am pretty happy with these two mr green. well done now keep that heat down
ok so I made it another week and could not come soon enough. I am now in a cooler environment 77 with lights on and 77 lights off. also a new light mars 800 watt led. I got the light about 2 years ago and could not run it as it was way too hot where my grow spot was. I am hoping that the new cooler spot for the next few weeks will help them fatten up. I will start a flush on them though and keep my eyes on the tris, or do the best I can. roots are cooler and just wish I could have done this from the start of this grow. other wise jack a pad on the back
this is a great strain, grew real fast right from the start, I will grow this again as it was a great pleasure. so thank you to the people from Dinafem all in all real happy with the extract im getting. real nice sticky stuff. just makes me happy😀 I will hbe doing this one again
at first I had the grow in a hot closet in a tent. I was worried but giving kelp and silica I think may have helped. I was able to move the grow for like the last month or so in to a 77 degree spot, so I was able to get a nice purple fade in one while the other was kinda getting it. I harvested about 80 days from seed so not too bad. I made some extract just from the trim and the pop corn buds and I was impressed on the sticky goodness I got. now I am waiting to use a rosin press on some buds, I plan to make some cartridges, some edibles and ill have some buds to smoke.
A few degrees can make a big difference mate so if you can drop the temps slightly that would be fantastic 👍
Time for the flower show to begin with a well trainied plant 👌
Thanks for this week's update my friend 👊
All the best ✌️
Mark..
Thank you so much for choosing our genetics for this adventure on the grow diary platform 👍
You look to be of to a flying start 👌
Let's see what you can do with our Haze XXL Auto 😏
All the best ✌️
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, I finally did the harvest, 80 days from seed, as I also was able to get some purple fades going on as well. all in all a great strain. thanks for all the info. mark. cheers
@DinafemSeeds, so far so good and seen the first little pre sign, go these opened up as well so hoping I got it right one is chopped and the other was topped make sense? the one that was topped is more of a bush. the chopped one is where I took the lower branches out and left the upper ones. I think looks like it will yield more. time will tell.
