McBubatz Today, April 6, '26, a new journey begins.
Here with the Slurricane #7 S1 from In House Genetics.
Here are some details about the strain ⬇️
The Slurricane #7 S1 is a legend in the "Iced-out" category. It is world-renowned for its monstrous trichome production, which often makes the buds appear as if they are rolled in sugar. The plant tends to have a strong vertical stretch, which is why techniques like LST or SCROG are highly recommended to control the height in the tent. The buds are often dark purple, almost black, and have an extremely dense structure.
💨 Aroma & Terpene Profile
The profile is a feast for lovers of "gas" and fruity notes:
Primary: Intense sweet berries (blueberries/blackberries).
Secondary: A heavy, gassy undertone (diesel/fuel).
Finish: Notes of creamy earth and somewhat sharp licorice.
🧠 Effects
Not for beginners! The Slurricane #7 S1 is known for its "Heavy-Hitter" effect:
Initial: A brief moment of euphoria and focus.
Main effect: An intense, relaxing body high that relieves tension and often ends in "couch-lock." Ideal for late evenings or to help with sleep issues.
Slurricane #7 S1
Breeder: In House Genetics
Genetics: Slurricane #7 x Slurricane #7 (S1 selection of the original Slurricane)
Type: Indica-dominant hybrid
Flowering time: 8 – 10 weeks (about 60 – 70 days; some phenotypes up to 75 days)
Stretch: High (can stretch significantly during flowering)
Yield: Medium to high
THC content: Very high, often tested between 25% and 30%+
Difficulty: Experienced (requires attention to nutrient control)

McBubatz So, the Slurricane has made it to the final pot and can really get going now.
In this grow, I'm also using BioTabs and an Advanced Nutrients mix again.
To start, according to the instructions, I'm adding the BioTabs components, one tablet of Voodoo Juice Plus (for all 4 in the tent), and a bit of Great White to the pot or watering. That's it for now.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great week 🍀🌞

McBubatz 5. Week. The Slurricane #7 is developing splendidly, but has become extremely bushy in the meantime. To improve light penetration for the lower shoots and to prevent mold, I thoroughly defoliated and manicured the plant today. Especially large, light-blocking sun sails and weak shoots in the lower area were removed.
Nutrient-wise, everything is running stable. The combination of BioTabs Base, OG Organics Iguana Juice Grow, and Ancient Earth ensures a flawless, deep green. The Voodoo Juice Plus Tabs and B-52 alleviate some of the stress and boost the soil life. The plant now has another two weeks to recover from the stress and perfectly fill its space before it goes into bloom.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a nice week 🍀🌞

McBubatz 6th week, the last week of Veggie.
Slurricane is an absolute beast, mega strong shoots, extremely vigorous growth, and already exuding a nice scent. It's also slowly showing that it wants to bloom (pre-flowering), so far everything looks female (with hairs). Regular defoliation is still happening, and I'll do it again before the switch.
For the next watering, I'll add some Iguana Juice Bloom and Tasty Terpenes to help with the switch.
6th week, 2nd day. Today I did a bit more defoliation, and in 2 days it will go to 12/12.
6th week, 4th day, you can't see any defoliation anymore 😅, but that's okay, today it was set to 12/12.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a nice week 🍀🌞

McBubatz Week 7, 1st week of flowering.
The switch to 12/12 was a few days ago, and today I added 2 Deep Red strips as well.
Slurricane is in full swing and is outpacing all the others; in terms of width and height, I’d say it’s right at the front in the tent.
It got Bud Ignitor for the first time today, although I don't think it really needs it with how well it's doing.

Slurricane is absolutely the queen in the tent and rises like her name suggests, like a hurricane into the sky 😆. By far the biggest in the tent, the others need to be propped up in the coming days so I have a relatively equal height in the canopy 😅.
Bud Ignitor is also showing its effect and many pistils are already shooting out 💪.
This week the blue ADDlite's are still running and next week the 2nd Deep Red lights will join in and the blue will be turned off.

McBubatz 9th week, 3rd flowering week.
Hey folks! Quick update from the basement: The ladies are in absolute luxury food and shining in the finest deep green. No burnt tips, no blockages – the Mars Hydro is blasting (now with 4 Deepred ADDlite fixtures) and the plants love it! ☀️ The Slurricane was intentionally allowed to grow a bit taller as a spearhead to test how much maximum LED light pressure the genetics can handle without CO2. So far, she shows absolutely zero stress!
Focus this week: The stretch is slowly heading into the home stretch and the first white pom-poms are exploding everywhere. Time to serve the girls the absolute luxury menu to ignite the resin and terpene production completely now! 🔥 Since I'm also using Big Bud and Bio PK, I've opted for a controlled hybrid strategy: The Bio PK is given as a targeted one-time application with smooth 3 ml/L instead of the full dose of 10 ml/L. This way, I perfectly feed the soil life without making the soil "too hot."
The nutrient cocktail (per liter):
-Iguana Juice Bloom: 2 ml/L (The organic foundation)
-Ancient Earth: 2 ml/L (So the roots can soak up every drop perfectly)
-Big Bud (Organic): 1 ml/L (Started relaxed with 50%)
-Bio PK (BioTabs): 3 ml/L (The secret upgrade ingredient for the big flower push)
-Bud Candy: 2 ml/L (Sugar/carbohydrates for sticky buds and fit microorganisms)
-Bud Factor X: 2 ml/L (The absolute resin and trichome turbo)
-Tasty Terpenes: 2 ml/L (Amino acids for stable shoots)
-B-52: 2 ml/L (Vitamin shot against any stress)
Next stop: Keep an eye on the leaf tips and sharpen the scissors. As soon as the vertical growth completely stagnates, there will be a radical cleanup down below (lollipopping)! Stay tuned! 🌿💪
Update: 3rd day of the 3rd flowering week, Slurricane got a little decluttering, a few undersized shoots and many leaves have been removed. Let's see if she can handle it as well as the topping and training.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great week 🍀🌞

McBubatz 10th week, BW 4.
The radical lollipopping of the Slurricane before the stretch is really paying off now. Everything down low is perfectly clean and ventilated, while up top, things are going wild. The buds are stacking up like little, dense towers on top of each other (nice stacking). By the beginning of week 4, the Slurricane is already showing a decent resin coverage – the sugar leaves are starting to sparkle really intensely. Hopefully, these will be rock-hard buds 💎.
Smell / Terpenes:
Very intense and sweet. Strongly reminiscent of a fairground, freshly made cotton candy, and a fine hint of bubblegum. An absolute terpene monster in the making 😁.
➡️ Watering amount: about 1.5 to 2 liters daily (extreme turnover, no drop of drain)
➡️ Nutrient schedule: Base mix like last week, stopped Bio PK, increased Big Bud to 2 ml/L (100%) to maximize cell division in the flowers.
➡️ Climate: RLF consistently in the optimal range (50–53%). Occasional temperature spikes up to 30 °C are easily handled by the plant thanks to the excellent airflow in the lower canopy area.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a nice week 🍀🌞

McBubatz 11th week, 5th flowering week.
The Slurricane is turning into an absolute resin monster. The trichome explosion for this early stage of week 5 is phenomenal: The resin carpet is creeping extremely far onto the sugar leaves, making the buds shimmer almost silver in some places. The flowers exhibit very tight "stacking" (short internode distances) and are forming a perfectly pointed rocket shape. This is going to be an extremely compact, continuous bud complex.
Topping and Low-Stress Training (LST) are showing their maximum effect. The crown is forming a symmetrical, flat roof with 5 to 6 absolutely equal main shoots in the sweet spot of the lamp. At the outermost leaf tips, there's a very subtle lightening – the sign that the plant is operating exactly at the upper nutrient saturation limit. Maximum energy without over-fertilization.
➡️ Watering amount: 1.5 liters (optimally adjusted)
➡️ Fertilizer: Unchanged from the previous week (nutrient level stable)
➡️ Climate: Masters the partial 31 °C without any heat symptoms.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great week 🍀🌞

McBubatz 12 weeks, 6th flowering week.
The Slurricane shows an impressive bud structure. As you can see, the colas are developing nice volume. The resin production is in full swing, which is especially evident in the close-ups. The plant is concentrating all its energy on the flower calyxes, which makes it a bit more susceptible to nutrient fluctuations (rust spots on the leaves) – hence the focus on the "adjustment" with Cal/Mag.
We're following the schedule in sync with Blucci to stabilize nutrient uptake for the remaining time.
➡️Watering: 1.5 liters daily.
➡️Nutrient adjustment:
➡️Iguana Juice Bloom: Reduced to 1 ml/l.
➡️Cal/Mag supplement: Integrated starting now (tomorrow) to stop the calcium lockout and support the plant in its high metabolism.
➡️Climate: 50% RH

Slurricane has a few issues, since my Cal/Mag ran out I had to order some first. I gave a bit today (50% of the manufacturer's recommendations) of Cal/Mag and a light nutrient mix and now I have to see if it stabilizes or continues to spread. If necessary, a "soft flush" with Flawless Finish will be done to eliminate any potential blockage.
Unfortunately, under the stress, it developed one (the fattest) bud that had a small spot of bud rot 😭. I removed it right away, it was just a tiny spot but better safe than sorry. The rest is still clean for now.
The humidity has been adjusted down to 45%.
➡️Watering: 1 liter daily.
➡️Nutrients: Adjusted a bit more often this week based on the current K blockages.
➡️Climate: down to 45% humidity.
Little update:
The addition of Cal/Mag has helped, the Slurricane has stabilized a bit.
I tried to capture the trichomes as best as I could. They are mostly milky with a few amber and a few clear, so they're nearing the end.

Slurricane has managed to stabilize and is doing relatively well again 😁. Right now, she's on her way to the finish line; I think by the end of next week she could be ready. At the moment, she's causing the least stress 😅, the temperatures seem to be just right for her. I'm slowly reducing the nutrients now, and like the others, she'll get a light mix that will be gradually decreased.

Slurricane is now only getting clear water, I think she will be harvested at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. She is also only getting clear water (pH adjusted). If I have a bit more time in the coming days, I'll post some more pictures of the buds.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a nice week 🍀🌞
Top, beautiful plump buds (slight red tint on top), smell very sweet with a hint of spice. Weight was good for the size. Growing was relatively easy, recovered well from the slight blockage and didn't cause any stress otherwise.

McBubatz 16 1/2 weeks and the Slurricane was harvested. So far, she has performed well and the result is, I would say, relatively good. Had some minor issues, but she recovered very quickly. In the end, everything went well and 575g wet on the scale. The terpene profile is nicely sweet (more details after drying), so she’s going back into the tent for the next run.
Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a great week 🍀🌞
@Hawii_ReLoaded, haha yeah, that's usually how it is. But they're not the cheapest either, so you can't really go wild when ordering 😅 that's why the selection is even worse 🤣. Hopefully, they'll deliver the right results.
Beautiful buds, how do you implement fertilizer, all in the same canister and water with it or separate and do you do fertilizer with every watering or every 2 or 3 watering?
@desade9, Thanks, buddy. Since the fertilizer is basically the same for all the plants, I prepare a base mix for the whole batch; then I take about 1.5 to 2 liters (depending on need) per plant and add whatever else is missing. After that, I water them. Right now, I’m watering daily and adding fertilizer each time (following the grow diary).
