JackJolla Diesel: Growth stable despite the Ph keep is around 7, i think i'll start the training in the next days. Wedding Cake: i don't know, this little one is strange, it stopped growing in height, its still under 10 cm, but the vegetation keep growing strong but a little slower than the Diesel. Sunset Sherbet: the growth is now stabilized the trunk is stronger and the second set of leaves its growing.

JackJolla Wedding Cake: Stable growth and recovery well after topping on day 17, low height, reaching 10cm, but the trunk is healthy and strong. Diesel: Stable growth and recovery well after topping on day 16, good height, reached 115cm, the trunk is healthy and strong. Sunset Sherbet: Growth is now stable with better development of the vegetative part, for now I do not foresee topping or lst, the height is exaggerated for the development of the trunk, reached 15cm, but the trunk has a strange shape, the first part is slender and long up to the first node, then the trunk doubles, I plan to add supports in case the base does not support the plant in the next stages of growth, slight yellowing of the leaves.

JackJolla Diesel: The plant has slowed a bit after topping but now growth seems stable. Wedding Cake: Still the lil one of the three, growth is now more stable after topping. Sunset Sherbet: It was the one with the least expectation of the three, but after FIMIing, growth continued without a hitch and is now almost as tall as the other two.

JackJolla The growth of all three plants seems stable, although I’m noticing a substantial difference in growth between the Cake/Diesel pair and the Sunset. I think this may also be due to the fact that Cake and Diesel are in a fully homemade organic soil, with a very high percentage of self-produced organic worm humus, which helps maintain more stable soil moisture. However, the plants seem to be struggling to stretch and are continuing to have a good vegetative phase, but with a very “bushy” structure. The soil pH is struggling to come down and is currently around 6.7–6.9. As for the Sunset, its soil was prepared with basic potting soil, perlite, and Monster Bud Mix by Zamnesia. It is much lighter and more aerated, and the plant is now showing very healthy growth, stretching well without producing too much vegetation. The pH here is better, around 6.3–6.5. Currently, I have only performed topping on the main cola, a small amount of defoliation — not too much, because I’m afraid of overdoing it and stressing the plants T.T — and I’m trying to use LST. I also tried FIMing the Sunset to compare the differences with topping, but unfortunately I failed miserably.😅 I probably made the cut too lightly, so I then had to fix it with topping, while still keeping the two small branches just below the node. Any observations or advice are more than welcome! 😁 This is my first grow, and the anxiety about possibly damaging the little ones is huge!

JackJolla Diesel: I’m very happy with the growth! The topping + LST is showing its results, flowering is exploding, and the buds are developing in a healthy way, already giving me great satisfaction. Compared to the other two, it almost seems about one week ahead. The plant has a large and very healthy leaf mass, but for now I’m being cautious with defoliation because I don’t want to stress the plant too much. Wedding Cake: Even though it germinated together with the Diesel, flowering is much further behind. However, just like with the Diesel, the topping + LST is showing good flowering results. As with the Diesel, the leaf mass is very dense, although in the last few days some leaves have shown signs of stress. I need to understand what caused it. For now, I’ve only removed the unhealthy leaves, much more than on the Diesel, and I’m worried this might be why flowering is further behind compared to the other plant. Sunset Sherbet: Even though it germinated one week later, in terms of growth stage it has now caught up with the Wedding Cake, including the flowering phase. Here you can notice that the FIMing caused some issues; in fact, there are far fewer bud sites compared to the other two plants, and it developed more vertically. However, this also resulted in less foliage, making it much easier to manage compared to the others. Unfortunately, during LST, one central branch was damaged and had to be removed. As with the Wedding Cake, some strange spots have also appeared on the leaves, although they are less widespread. Let’s see how it goes! For now, everything seems to be giving off great vibes for a good harvest!!😁😁

JackJolla All the plants are flowering, but I’m experiencing some issues. Up until now, growth had been going fairly well, even though the plants stayed very short and bushy. However, they are now showing quite a lot of stress, especially on the leaves. Diesel seems to be the most resilient, while with Wedding Cake and Sunset I’m starting to get a bit worried. I started supplementing with BioBizz CalMag because the issues I was seeing seemed to point in that direction, but after a week the problem is still there. Wedding Cake is showing brown spots on both older and newer leaves. Even though it continues to produce a lot of new foliage, which makes it almost too bushy, for now I’m just slightly reducing the watering and continuing to remove the most damaged leaves. Sunset, on the other hand, is not showing brown spots, but almost all of the leaves are turning yellow, especially the lower fan leaves. With this plant, I’m continuing to water as usual because the soil dries out much faster than the others, since it contains more coco fiber and is probably better aerated. For all three plants, the nutrient doses are the same, with the addition of CalMag, but it seems like they are struggling to absorb nutrients now that they need them more during flowering.

JackJolla We’ve entered week eight, one of the final weeks, since the genetics I chose are listed as **8–9 weeks from seed to harvest**. I hope we’re close to the end, because the plants are becoming more and more stressed and I still can’t understand what the problem is. It almost seems like some kind of nutrient uptake lockout. For now, the maturation of the flowers doesn’t seem to be compromised, and the trichomes are starting to develop a nice color, although the buds still look a bit sparse. As with last week, Diesel is holding up well, even though she is also starting to show some leaf issues. I just hope this is due to the flowering stage. The others, however, seem to be getting worse, especially Sunset. Wedding Cake is maturing well, although the spots keep reappearing and some leaves are starting to yellow there too. Sunset, on the other hand, seems to have slowed down in maturation, and the leaves are getting worse and worse. I’m limiting defoliation because I don’t want to add more stress to a plant that is already suffering quite a lot. -------------------------------- **End of W8 Update:** Thanks to the help of this amazing community, Sunset and Wedding have recovered really well! Diesel, on the other hand, is still struggling, but due to my lack of experience I can’t really tell whether it’s just because it’s reaching the end of its cycle, or if the care I gave didn’t bring the results I was hoping for. The buds seem pretty mature now, they’re getting richer in terpenes and reaching a good size, but I’m also wondering whether the treatments I gave this plant may have made the situation worse. I’ll update you again in the next few days! And if you have any advice, guys, drop it in the comments — it’s always more than welcome!

JackJolla Here we are again after the first harvest! As I thought, the main cause of Diesel's misfortunes is the soil it shares with WC, which now that it's nearing the end of its cycle is showing the same signs. Currently, unlike D, it's much further behind in terms of terpene maturation, so let's hope it holds out a little longer. Like the other one, the buds haven't swollen as they should. The surprise is SS; despite a bit of stress, the buds are forming perfectly, rich in terpenes and increasingly plump. With the different soil, the plant's performance is also better than the other two. Now we've recovered some specific soil and we'll see how it goes for the next one.

Good for being the first! After all the stress the plant was put through, things could have been worse, but even though they didn't get huge, the buds managed to reach a good terpene maturity of around 70%. I finally found the problem underlying the various sources of stress in the final stage: the composition of the organic soil isn't ideal at all. In fact, I expect the same problem in the final stages of WC, which uses the same soil! This is a very important point for future growth.
