Week 10 update - so things haven’t, really, in any way at all, gone the way they were supposed with this plant. Seedling issues, location issues, nute deficiencies, more location issues lol. So I guess it’s appropriate that we end up right back here and in a perfect spot to run out a 1 plant Scrog. So that’s what I’m gonna do - drop a net on er and get as much coverage out of the old vipar as I can. It only makes sense given where this plants at and how much spread we have left. Only topped once but she now has enough side branching to warrant a good fill during the stretch. I held her back a week just to stagger out my projected chop times with the rest of what we got go’n on this season. Well see - she could turn out to be an absolute gem🤞🤞🤞. After all the bull shit so far that would be epic🤘. Thanks for taken a look👊.
Jun 24 update - net went down today. A little later than preferred but should be alright as long as we don’t get too much stretch. The light is already pushed to its height limit😬. Also stripped er down and lollipopped out the lower half. Gonna let er chill for a day and then finish tying er back to the net. Alls good👍. Three weeks of tucking and tying then she’ll generally take care of herself save the feedings. Flip should still be on sched. For next week.😎
June 26 update - tied er down as best as possible. She won’t be perfectly even by any stretch. She’s also real lanky so not gonna push it if she ain’t where I want er and we have to wait bit on the flip. Well see how well she releafs and stretches over the next few days👍
Background
To the best of our knowledge, White Label is outta Amsterdam and this is their purple haze. It’s a 70% sativa, medium size by comparison to other sativas. Sorry - specific strain background is unknown. The effects description is perfect for our purposes and sounds like a great day time option. The original intent was to just get one of these growing, throw on a property and let her do her thing without much involvement. Well, complications arose and ensued and we ended up having to swap out the 707 in the cabinet with this girl instead just to keep growth rates relatively comparable with the strawberry Cough that’s fully go’n off right now👍. Then she caught a massive deficiency and ended up in ICU. The planting medium is coco and purlite in a 7gal. Smartpot. She was topped at about the 5th node to match heights with the SC and break apical dominance. There is honestly no particular plan with this plant so it should be fun to see how she turns out - thanks for stoppn in. She’s def. an all time classic👊.
@randyjustice, cheers bud appreciate the look👍. This one got delayed a week with a deficiency issue... and then another week to stagger harvest with other grows. If all goes well with getting the net down this week, probably be flipping this Saturday/Sunday. Depends on how tameable she is - scrogging this plant is a bit of an afterthought... much like the entire grow! Lol👊
@mr_h_kovert, appreciated as always HK. Still a little in awe on the colour variance. Yield was a surprise too so it’ll keep us in a haze for a good while👍😎👊
Good job! I know you think differently for this round, but they say part of being a good grower is learning to resolve and adapt to problems, and with that yield you proved that you can. I still have yet to get a grow that I'm completely happy with. It's all a learning experience.
@MovingOn, yeah I guess so. In the end I’m happy with it - just a little annoyed with some of the decisions which only made it more difficult. But ur right - end result is there👍 And man she’s tasty👌👊
