Something like the 4th seed I've had in my time where the case hadn't shed once it was above ground. Had to do some surgery and in doing the cotlydons broke off. All that was left was a little stalk. A day under the light and it's sent forth its first leaves, so we're good to go.
Came back from holiday to find this one had shot up. Not been seeing all that much stretch recently in my plants but this lady went for it. Quite a number of branches shooting for the sky and pleased to see a number of bud sites stacking up.
Slight N Def in lower leaves so will correct that. And she's drinking about a litre a day which is impressive in this climate.
Definitely a different pheno from the last time I grew it too. Much more sativa dominant with wispy pistils, while last time it produced hard bud tops with thick pistils.
Plant has been showing a slight N def and perhaps very slight Mag too. Upped the feed. Can see why she needs it because all tops are shooting up. Hard to remember what's the main stem. Look forward to those filling in.
No smell yet and only just getting a hint of trichs. Be interesting to see if she stops her stretch this week.
Day 47 - Trichs now starting to appear on leaves. Still been stretching this week but looks like it might have stopped. Should be quite a good yielding plant. Lots of bud sites.
Takes its nutrients well. It's seemed hungry this one. Still watering every 3 days.
Plant is coming on nicely. This week the buds have started to fill in nicely and its probably going to start building this week. Got some smell coming off it now which it didn't a week ago, and trichs starting to cover the leaves. Should hopefully be a high yielder. Very different pheno to last time. Hope it stinks as much though.
Noticing a mag def on lower leaves. Had upped the calmag but I might actually get it some Epsom salt to keep that at bay.
Still drinking a lot. Watering every 3 days. I'm thinking she will go to 10 weeks, maybe 11.
Buds are coming on nicely. All filled in now and there's some fairly long colas. Did a bit of defoliation and bowl trained it a little.
Plant has started yellowing more on its bottom leaves. Would have liked grow feed for longer, but it's been fairly slow. They were fan leaves barely getting any light at all so I'm not bothered. Plant only has two or three weeks left so will probably feed a couple more times and then start flush. There's also a very slight bit of light bleaching on top.
Smell is starting to grow. This was a smelly plant last time I grew it. Hope it keeps getting stronger.
Buds are very tall and thin. Other pheno had very compact and short buds with thick pistils.
Day 61: just wondered what people's thoughts were on the last pictures. Nearing the end of flower so not too worried but wasnt 100% how I should treat this. K def? Ca Def? Or just nute burn? Leaves have been yellowing for a little while. Looking particularly at the scorch marks on the leaf margins. Seem to remember hearing that was more indicative of deficiency than burn which would normally just show at the tip.
Buds are starting to finish now. Few problems this week. She has a K def. She's been a heavy feeder all along but this slightly seems excessive, which got me thinking that its possible too much Ca is blocking out K. So I've cut back on calmag this week.
Buds are very long and thin. Quite a bit of foxtailing going on, so started a bit of backbuilding.
Bit of light bleaching as well on top as I've got a very small space and they get quite close to the light.
Overall I'm not worried. We're at the end of week 9 now so going to start flush next watering and she should be ready in a couple of weeks.
Not the strongest smell yet but it's building. More of a green smell at the moment.
Very almost there now. Smell has got a lot stronger in the last week. Buds have swelled up a lot and the trichs are looking mostly cloudy.
Noticed a few really bright red pistils on the buds amid the orange ones. Pretty cool. And a bit of purple coming into the buds too in places.
The leaves are exhibiting deficiency now and I reckon I'll keep her going another week.
Still flushing. Expected it to be finished now but still lots of clear trichomes and barely a single amber. Most leaves have yellowed now. Perhaps I shouldn't have started flushing so early but expected only a week or so left.
The buds have started showing some blue and purple. Smells strong. The sort of funky smell that's not entirely pleasant and feels thick. Giving the filter a run for its money.
The buds are fairly dense but I can tell they'll separate out a bit when drying. It's also been foxtailing bad which I've tried to curb with some backbuilding but now just waiting for these trichs to turn because it doesn't look like the buds are going to swell anymore. Lots of different subtle colours in these buds though so looking forward to the final product. Not the frostiest but will certainly make up for it with smell.
Just chopped and hanging. Second time growing this strain and a completely different pheno. So different. Very sativa dominant. Bud sites stacked up and swelled a lot but weren't that dense. Not the frostiest buds but smells great.
UPDATE: Plant is dry and in jars. Amazing orange or clementine smell in there and the buds have a really nice fiery look to them. The high is definitely sativa dominant. Quite euphoric and really strips away stress and anxiety.
First plant I've had break the 100g mark so very happy with that. Very easy to grow.
Could be a humity issue that stops the husk fully coming away? Ive had that with a cpl of seeds and fixed by putting them in makeshift humidity dome for a day,, then it sloughs away easily with a gentle touch. Interesting to know they can survive without their cotlydons tho!! It really is quite hard to kill a weed plant it sems!
@Dorsal_fins,true go check my blue diesel yesterday moving her she fell got cover in soil was batterd couldn't hold her self up leaves had all shrivled up today she's got all her leaves out like nothing's happens they really are resilient
@420_liquidsun, Yeah I'm not too worried. Could have done with feeding grow for maybe one more week but she'll do just fine. Looking forward to watching the show over the next couple of weeks.
Mate I always germinate my seed and then put the seed shell poking out of my Rockwell I like to see it come out after 24 hours the tap root is nice 👍 the shell should be out the soil now when the shell is half off but it normally like it cought on sumert that's why it not falling off now from under the shell of both sides it's parted go from under and with tweezers slightly nudge on each side it will start to loosen then after a couple of minutes comes off
some times the skin from the shell as the leaves closed slightly look where the loose skin his and same process with tweezers nudge not pull and it will come off when that happens your girl opens up strait away
Have only ever lost one seedling and I think that was down to a dodgey seed and have germinated well over 70 now i also find that when I do it properly it can take 2 to 3 days for the shell to fall off I ain't waiting that long
Happy 😊 growing 😎
@ForestGreen, I just finished my first lst autoflower grow, not quite on the same level as your autos, but Im happy with the results, I know there loads of room for improvement after seeing your Lst autos
Cheers
@Killabeez, thanks mate. Yeah it's the way I've always grown. Started out with just cfls so lst was always essential, plus I've got no height in my tent. Kind of wish I could just let them grow tall but this also works for me.
@Kvothe, Thanks man. They changed the voting system to make it more anonymous and hidden. There were a lot of problems with people begging for votes. Also you could see the rankings before voting so naturally people tended to only look at the top rated diaries and voted for them. There's a couple of articles about it in the journal. I was quite surprised and chuffed to win though. Loads of diaries equally as good as mine.
@Book_of_Thoth, It was a real bitch to trim. Actually far too much leaf material in the buds. Not sure if that was done to pheno or feed regime in some way.
She's looking like she's snapping back from some stress real well buddy. I really like how you've trained her down so you can have a more even canopy with lots of top colas. You are doing some really nice work here, keep it up :D
@DabCrab, yeah she's doing well. Think I might have a different pheno since the last time I grew this strain. She seems a bit leggier. I've just been away for a week straight after training. Get back tonight so visit back for an update on how she's looking. Lots of top colas I'm hoping.
