HomeToGrow Moin, Beide Sämlinge machen sind sehr gut in ihren kleinen Töpfen. Generell scheinen beide Seeds sehr vital und vorallem in den letzten 3 Tagen hat sich die Wachstumsgeschwindigkeit merklich erhöht. Beide scheinen auch den relativ hohen Anfangs Ec von 1,6 bereits sehr gut zu vertragen, was für mich bisher für einen heavy feeder Strain spricht. Leider muss ich früher oder später mich für eine der beiden Pflanzen entscheiden, bisher wirkt die vordere etwas wüchsiger und wird damit wahrscheinlich das Rennen der beiden gewinnen und der Verlierer bekommt vielleicht einen Platz am Fenster aber mal sehen. Hey, Both seedlings are doing really well in their little pots. Overall, both seeds seem very vigorous, and their growth rate has increased noticeably, especially over the last 3 days. Both also seem to be handling the relatively high initial EC of 1.6 very well, which to me suggests this is a heavy-feeder strain. Unfortunately, sooner or later I’ll have to choose between the two plants. So far, the one in front seems to be growing a bit faster and will likely win out, while the loser might get a spot by the window—but we’ll see.

HomeToGrow Moin, Beide White Sweet Candy OG Pflanzen entwickeln sich gut und das Wachstum legt so langsam an Geschwindigkeit zu. Beide Pflanzen stecken sowohl den relativ hohen EC als auch die hohe Lichtintensität sehr gut weg. Ich denke am Wochenende fällt die Entscheidung und eine von beide Pflanzen wird in den 3,5 l Endtopf gepflanzt. Vielleicht toppe ich beide Pflanzen vorher noch oder aber ich warte noch ein paar Tage bis die Pflanze in ihrem Endtopf den "Schock" verkraftet hat. Die Woche über gab es kein einziges Problem mit Nährstoffen, Licht oder Schädlingen. Ich muss sagen bisher wirkt die Sorte für mich wie ein absoluter Gewinner, endlich mal wieder eine Sorte die richtig Bock hat zu wachsen! Hey, Both White Sweet Candy OG plants are developing well, and their growth is slowly picking up speed. Both plants are handling both the relatively high EC and the high light intensity very well. I think I’ll make a decision this weekend and transplant one of the two plants into the 3.5-liter final pot. Maybe I’ll top both plants beforehand, or maybe I’ll wait a few more days until the plant in its final pot has gotten over the “shock.” Throughout the week, there hasn’t been a single problem with nutrients, light, or pests. I have to say, so far this strain seems like an absolute winner to me and finally, a strain that’s really eager to grow fast!

Vegi Woche ist vorbei und ich musste mich für eine der beiden Pflanzen entscheiden, welche nun im Zelt bleiben darf während die andere am Fenster chillen darf ggf. nehme ich von dieser im Anschluss Stecklinge und gebe auch ihr noch eine Chance. Beide Pflanzen sind sehr vital und sehr wüchsig. Mitte der Woche wurden beide getoppt und gestern ging es dann in den 3,5 l Endtopf. Ich habe die Möglichkeit auch noch genutzt die Seiten Triebe mit Heringen zur Seite zu binden damit alle 4 Triebe auf der gleichen Höhe sind. Der EC wird bisher auch sehr gut vertragen und es scheint auch noch ein höherer EC möglich zu sein ob das in dieser Phase aber unbedingt notwendig ist glaube ich etwas zu bezweifeln. Geplant ist nun der White Sweet Candy OG noch bis nächste Woche Sonntag in der Vegi zu halten und anschließend wird auf 12/12 umgestellt. Eigentlich würde ich der Pflanze lieber noch 2 Wochen Zeit geben und dann scroggen, da aber mein anderer Steckling zu früh geliefert wurde und nun echt gerne in die Blüte möchte, da mir sonst ein ähnliches Szenario wie bei der Apples&Bananas droht kann ich ihr nur noch etwas mehr als 1 Woche Zeit geben. Naja etwas habe ich es schon erwartet wenn man nen Steckling und eine Samenpflanze gleichzeitig grown will. Bisher bin ich maximal zufrieden mit dem Strain, wenn der Strain in der Blüte weiterhin so gut performt kann ich nichts anderes als mich für die Möglichkeit diesen Strain als Tester zu grown nur bedanken! Hey, The third week of the vegetative phase is over, and I had to decide which of the two plants gets to stay in the tent while the other gets to chill by the window. I might take cuttings from the one by the window later and give it another chance. Both plants are very healthy and growing vigorously. I pinched them back midweek, and yesterday I moved them into their 3.5-liter final pots. I also took the opportunity to tie the side shoots to the side with stakes so that all 4 shoots are at the same height. The EC has been tolerated very well so far, and it seems a higher EC might be possible, though I’m a bit skeptical as to whether that’s absolutely necessary at this stage. The plan now is to keep the White Sweet Candy OG in veg until next Sunday and then switch to 12/12. Actually, I’d prefer to give the plant another two weeks and then SCROG it, but since my other cutting was delivered early and is really eager to start flowering otherwise I risk a scenario similar to what happened with the Apples & Bananas I can only give it a little over a week. Well, I kind of expected this when trying to grow a cutting and a seed plant at the same time. So far, I’m completely satisfied with the strain. If it continues to perform this well in flowering, I can’t help but be grateful for the opportunity to grow this strain as a tester!

HomeToGrow Moin, Die 4. Vegi Woche ist vorbei, die White Sweet Candy OG wirkt äußerst vital und strotzt nur so vor Energie, gefällt mir bisher wirklich gut. Ich habe die 2 oberen Haupttriebe mehrfach durch LST etwas herunter gebunden damit alle 4 Triebe auf der gleichen Höhe bleiben und das Wachstum sich gleichmäßig verteilt. Sonst habe ich lediglich einzelne Blätter entfernt, die untere Triebe verdeckt hätten. Der Strain hat sich davon allerdings unbeeindruckt gezeigt und wächst unbeirrt weiter, so könnten sich gerne mehr Strains verhalten. Der EC wurde nicht weiter erhöht und in den kommenden Tagen werde ich sie in die Blüte schicken, freue mich schon auf möglichst dicke Buds und ein süßes Terpenprofil. 🍃 Hey, The fourth week of veg is over. The White Sweet Candy OG looks incredibly healthy and is just bursting with energy. I really like how it’s coming along so far. I’ve tied down the top two main shoots a few times using LST so that all four shoots stay at the same height and the growth is evenly distributed. Other than that, I’ve only removed a few leaves that would have blocked the lower shoots. The strain, however, hasn’t been fazed by this and continues to grow undeterred. I wish more strains would behave this way. I haven’t increased the EC any further, and in the coming days I’ll be sending them into flowering. I’m already looking forward to buds as thick as possible and a sweet terpene profile. 🍃

HomeToGrow Moin, Seit nun 5 Tagen befindet sich die White Sweet Candy OG in der Blüte und alles verläuft sehr entspannt. Langsam beginnt die Pflanze sich etwas zu stretchen ist dabei aber deutlich weniger aggressiv als so manch andere Sorte. Die Sorte macht auf mich einen wirklich sehr guten Eindruck, bisher gab es kein einziges Problem, die Internodienabstände finde ich sehr gut und die Blätter werden wirklich riesig und alle Triebe wirklich sehr stabil und die Pflanze hat einfach Bock zu wachsen! Mittlerweile ist Die Tropfbewässerung auch installiert und übernimmt dir Bewässerungssystem, gegossen wird dabei 3x täglich, wobei nur am Tag der erste Bewässerungszyklus mit Drain gegossen wird. Sobald der Stretch durch ist kommt zusätzlich eine kleine Intercanopy-LED zum Einsatz, sodass hoffentlich alle Blüten Licht abbekommen. Die zusätzlichen 30 W der Internopy-LED wird von der oberen LED Leistung abgezogen sodass statt wie sonst 130 W von oben nun 100 W von oben und 30 W von den Seiten auf die Pflanzen gegeben wird mal sehen wie das Endergebnis aussieht. 😄 Bisher habe ich den Dünger auch noch nicht auf den Blüte Dünger umgestellt um die am Anfang der Blüte notwendige Stickstoffzufuhr weiterhin hoch zu halten, ab kommender Woche bzw ab der nächsten Tank füllung kommt dann der Blüte Dünger zu Einsatz. Hey, The White Sweet Candy OG has been flowering for 5 days now, and everything is going very smoothly. The plant is slowly starting to stretch a bit, but it’s doing so much less aggressively than some other strains. This strain is making a really good impression on me so far, there hasn’t been a single problem. I think the internode spacing is great, the leaves are getting really huge, all the shoots are very sturdy, and the plant is just eager to grow! The drip irrigation system is now installed and handling the watering; it’s watered three times a day, though the first watering cycle is done with drain only on the day itself. Once the stretch phase is over, I’ll also be adding a small intercanopy LED, so hopefully all the flowers will get some light. The additional 30 W from the intercanopy LED will be deducted from the upper LED output, so instead of the usual 130 W from above, the plants will now receive 100 W from above and 30 W from the sides. Let’s see how the final result turns out. 😄 So far, I haven’t switched to the bloom fertilizer yet to keep the nitrogen supply high, which is necessary at the start of flowering; starting next week or when I refill the tank, I’ll start using the bloom fertilizer.

HomeToGrow Moin, Wir befinden uns mittlerweile am Blütetag 12 und der Stretch ist voll im Gange. Von der Wachstumsstruktur würde ich die White Sweet Candy OG wie eine klassische OG beschreiben starke, dicke Haupttrieb, mittelgroße Internodienabstände (finde ich persönlich sehr angenehm), starke Seitentriebe und generell eine sehr buschigen Pflanze. Durch die starken Haupttrieb eignet sich die Sorte für mich nicht um die Triebe mit Budclips auf eine Höhe zu bringen, dafür ist dann eher das Herunterbinden der Triebe geeignet. Setzt man etwas früher als in meinem Fall ein Scrognetz ein erreicht man ein wirklich schönes und homogenes Blätterdach der Triebe. Auffällig ist, dass die ersten Pistils sich erst ab den 10 Blütetag zeigten und der Übergang von der vegetativen Phase ins Blütenwachstum etwas verzögerter abläuft. Aus meiner Erfahrung spielt das keine große Rolle bei der späteres Blütenentwicklung. Schon jetzt zeigt sich, dass die 4 Haupttriebe massive Buds produzieren werden. Ich freu mich auf die kommenden Wochen und vorallem auf die ersten Trichome und der damit beginnende Geruch, ich bin mehr als gespannt und bis jetzt ist dieser Strain im Wachstum und der Performance allgemein einer meiner Favoriten der letzten Jahre! Respekt an SSSC für die Tolle Arbeit. :) Hey, We’re now on day 12 of flowering, and the stretch is in full swing. In terms of growth structure, I’d describe the White Sweet Candy OG as a classic OG with a strong, thick main stem, medium internode spacing (which I personally find very pleasant), strong side shoots, and overall a very bushy plant. Because of the strong main stem, I don’t think this strain is suitable for using bud clips to keep the shoots at the same height, tying the shoots down is a better option. If you set up a SCROG net a little earlier than I did, you’ll achieve a really nice, uniform canopy. It’s noticeable that the first pistils didn’t appear until the 10th day of flowering, and the transition from the vegetative phase to flowering is somewhat delayed. In my experience, this doesn’t play a major role in later flower development. It’s already clear that the 4 main shoots will produce massive buds. I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and especially to the first trichomes and the scent that comes with them I’m more than excited, and so far, this strain is one of my favorites of recent years in terms of growth and overall performance! Kudos to SSSC for the great work. :)

Blütewoche ist vorbei und die White Sweet Candy OG hat sich nochmal deutlich gestretcht, vorallem die drei verbleibenden Haupttrieb (Leider ist mir Anfang der Blütewoche beim letzten scroggen ein Haupttrieb abgebrochen) werden höchstwahrscheinlich zu ziemlich großen Buds! Mit den noch erfolgten Stretch hat die Pflanze hier ideale Höhe erreicht und ich hoffe nicht auf weiteres Höhenwachstum sonst muss ich den Filter und die Abluft etwas umhängen. Besonders in den letzten Tagen beginnt merklich die Blütenbildung zu beginnen und immer mehr Pistils schießen aus den Blütenansetzen. Trichome konnte ich bisher aber nicht erkennen das wird sich in den kommenden Tagen aber sicherlich noch ändern und ich bin wirklich gespannt wo die Reise noch hingehen wird und wann ich das erste mal einen Einblick in das hoffentlich süße und vielleicht etwas kushiges (?) Terpenprofil erblicken kann. Diese Sorte macht einen wirklich Lust zu grown! Einzig tut es mir etwas Leid, dass ich dem Strain nicht das ganze Zelt an Platz gegeben haben. Ende der Woche sind mir ein paar kleine Anzeichen eines Calciummangels an zwei einzelnen Blätter aufgefallen, weswegen beim gestrigen Ansetzen der Nährlösung erstmal auch eine kleine Menge an CaO hinzugegeben wurde. Ende der 3. Blütewoche wurde die Pflanze ordentlich gelollipopt und vorallem die zum Teil schon fast riesigen Blätter wurden entfernt und die Struktur deutlich luftiger gestaltet sodass nun auch ein Guter Airflow gewährleistet ist. Zur Struktur selber bleibt die White Sweet Candy OG Ihrer OG Struktur in Wachstum treu, mittelgroße Internodienabstände, starke Haupttriebe mit große Blätter und relativ starkes Seitentrieben. Einzig ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Triebe nicht zu stark trainiert werden sollten, da diese doch recht starr und zum Teil Hohl sind wodurch diese zum Brechen neigen, wenn diese zu stark heruntergebunden werden. Ein wirklich Problem sollte das aber nicht darstellen, wenn man darüber bescheid weiß und nicht zu rabiat an die Sache herangeht. Des Weiteren habe ich mittlerweile mein Intercanopy-Lighting eingestellt und beleuchte die Pflanzen nun mit 21 W zusätzlich und er unterschied in der Ausleuchtung der untere Triebe ist nicht zu übersehen, ich bin auf die Ergebnisse gespannt! Alles in allem ist dieser Strain wirklich robust, stellt keine großen Anforderungen, hat wirklich Bock zu Wachsen und kommt gut mit höheren EC Werten klar. Gerne mehr von genau solchen Strains! Hey, Week 3 of flowering is over, and the White Sweet Candy OG has stretched noticeably once again. The three remaining main branches in particular have put on a lot of growth (unfortunately, one of the main branches snapped during the last SCROG session at the beginning of flowering). These remaining tops will most likely develop into some pretty large buds! With the additional stretch, the plant has now reached the ideal height for this setup, and I’m hoping for little to no further vertical growth. Otherwise, I’ll have to reposition the carbon filter and exhaust system. Especially over the last few days, flower development has really started to pick up. More and more pistils are emerging from the bud sites, although I haven’t been able to spot any trichomes yet. That will surely change in the coming days, and I’m genuinely excited to see where this grow goes and when I’ll finally get my first impression of the hopefully sweet and perhaps slightly kushy (?) terpene profile. This strain is genuinely a joy to grow! The only thing I somewhat regret is not giving it the entire tent to itself. Towards the end of the week, I noticed a few minor signs of a calcium deficiency on two individual leaves. Because of that, I added a small amount of CaO when mixing yesterday’s nutrient solution. At the end of week 3 of flowering, the plant received a thorough lollipopping. In particular, some of the already massive fan leaves were removed, creating a much more open structure and ensuring proper airflow throughout the canopy. As for the plant structure itself, the White Sweet Candy OG stays true to its OG heritage: medium internodal spacing, strong main branches with large leaves, and fairly vigorous lateral branching. One thing I did notice is that the branches should not be trained too aggressively. They are quite rigid and partially hollow, which makes them prone to snapping if bent down too forcefully. However, this shouldn’t be a real issue as long as you are aware of it and handle the plant with a bit of care. Additionally, I have now set up my inter-canopy lighting and am providing an extra 21 watts of supplemental light. The improvement in light penetration to the lower branches is clearly visible, and I’m excited to see how this affects the final results. Overall, this strain has proven to be very robust. It doesn’t demand much, has a strong desire to grow, and handles higher EC levels without any issues. I’d definitely love to see more strains like this!

HomeToGrow Moin, Blütewoche 4 ist fast durch und die Temperatur stieg diese Woche auf über 30 % und die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit befindet sich zum Teil leider auch jenseits von gut und böse in der Spitze waren es 75 % und ich würde erinnert warum viele eine Sommerpause machen, solange wollte ich aber nicht auf neue frische Blüte warten. Unerwartet hat sich White Sweet Candy OG nochmal etwas gestreckt und mit Glück sind noch 15 cm bis zur LED. Ich habe daher den Drainmaster um 5 cm nach unten gestellt und konnte ggf. nochmal 5 cm tiefer gehen, sollte ich im Laufe der Zeit Anzeichen von Lichtstress sehen wird das auch gemacht, bisher steckt die WSCOG die Höhe Lichtintensität bei den Mainbuds aber wirklich gut weg, was den Gesamteindruck einer wirklich sehr robusten Sorte weiter bestärkt. Seit Anfang der Woche bilden sich neben den weißen Härchen auch die ersten Trichome auf den Blüten und Sugarleaf, natürlich musste ich auch schon eine erste Riechprob an den Trichomen machen. Bisher konnte ich in diesem noch recht frühen Stadium noch keine süße Note wahrnehmen, dafür einen kiefernartigen Geruch, der in den letzten Tag von einer zitronigen Note begleitet wird, ich denke einen kommenden Wochen wird sich dort noch einiges tuen und die ersten Ansätze sind auch sehr viel versprechend. Die Blätter erstrahlen in einem wirklich sehr schönen frischen Grün, Mängel oder Anzeichen für Stress kann ich keine erkennen und die automatische Bewässerung sorgt zur Zeit 3 mal pro Tag für frische Nährstoffe im Coco Medium, bisher ist dieser Grow ein wirklich sehr entspanntes Anliegen und ich denke das wird sich auch nicht weiter ändern, außer die Temperaturen und die damit verbundene hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit machen wir einen Strich dufh die Rechnung, da würde es mich wirklich interessieren ob diese Sorte resistent gegen Botrytis ist oder eher anfällig. Vielleicht muss ich nochmal aktiv werden und mir einen Luftentfeuchter holen. Hey, Flowering week 4 is almost over, and temperatures climbed above 30°C this week. Unfortunately, relative humidity has also been far from ideal at times, peaking at around 75%. It definitely reminded me why so many growers take a summer break. However, I wasn't willing to wait that long for a fresh flowering run. Unexpectedly, the White Sweet Candy OG stretched a bit more, and with some luck there's still about 15 cm left between the canopy and the LED. Because of that, I lowered the Drainmaster by 5 cm and could potentially gain another 5 cm if needed. Should I notice any signs of light stress over time, I'll definitely make that adjustment. So far, the WSCOG is handling the light intensity at the main buds exceptionally well, which further reinforces my impression that this is a very robust strain. Since the beginning of the week, the flowers and sugar leaves have started producing their first trichomes alongside the white pistils. Naturally, I couldn't resist doing an early smell test on the trichomes. At this still relatively early stage, I haven't noticed any sweet notes yet. Instead, there's a pine-like aroma that has recently been accompanied by a citrusy note over the last few days. I think the coming weeks will bring quite a few changes in that regard, but the first impressions are already very promising. The leaves are showing a beautiful, vibrant green color. I can't see any deficiencies or signs of stress, and the automatic irrigation system is currently supplying fresh nutrients to the coco medium three times a day. So far, this grow has been a very relaxed and enjoyable experience, and I don't expect that to change. The only concern is the high temperatures and the resulting humidity, which could still throw a wrench into the works. I'd be very interested to know whether this strain is resistant to botrytis or tends to be susceptible to it. I may have to take action and get a dehumidifier after all.

HomeToGrow Moin, Die 5. Blütewoche ist fast vorbei und die Hitze ist kaum noch zu kompensieren. Trotzdem zeigt die White Sweet Candy OG wie stabil sie ist, die Blütenbildung geht in beirrt weiter. War der Geruch letzte Woche noch wenig süß und größtenteils etwas piney eher nach eingelegten Gurken riechen, was mich stark an eine White Widow erinnerte, die ich Anfang letzten Jahres gegrowt habe, ist er mittlerweile von einer merklichen süßen Note begleitet. Insgesamt würde ich es als Mischung aus einer süß-würzigen Fementation. Wir befinden uns aber auch erst Mitte der Blüte und da wird noch deutlich mehr an Komplexität dazu kommen, da bin ich mich sicher. Das einzige was diese Woche an wirklich Arbeit angefallen ist, war der Tausch der Tropfer da einer von den 4 verstopft war für Ersatz war schon gesorgt und solange wurde die White Sweet Candy OG 1x täglich zusätzlich per Hand gegossen sodass genug Drain in die Wanne unter dem Drainmaster läuft. Dieser Strain hat wirklich das Potenzial einer meiner liebsten Sorten zu werden. Hey, The fifth week of flowering is almost over, and the heat is becoming almost unbearable. Still, the White Sweet Candy OG is proving just how stable it is and flowering continues unabated. While last week the scent was still only slightly sweet and mostly a bit piney, smelling more like pickled cucumbers which strongly reminded me of a White Widow I grew early last year. It’s now accompanied by a noticeable sweet note. Overall, I’d describe it as a blend of sweet and spicy notes. But we’re only halfway through flowering, and I’m sure there will be significantly more complexity to come. The only real work I had to do this week was replacing the drippers, since one of the four was clogged. I already had a replacement on hand, and in the meantime, I watered the White Sweet Candy OG by hand once a day to ensure enough water drained into the tray beneath the Drainmaster. I love this strain so far!
