Wojkers Dear Diary, we are starting the next run. This time with a new strain from Sensi Seeds: Garlic Gas Feminized, a cross of (Garlic Bud x Papaya) x Original Sour Diesel BX. It is a 50% indica / 50% sativa hybrid that should be a good choice for indoor growing if you want a sativa-leaning structure without ending up with an oversized plant. The two plants, Plant #2 and Plant #3, were started 2 days apart, and both took 2 days to germinate. After germination, they were placed directly into BioBizz Light-Mix. Soon I will transplant them into 3 L pots filled with Plagron Grow Mix. I switched to Plagron for this run and will be using the full range of additives. At the start we want to take it easy and not push too hard right away. I’m excited to see how it goes. Feeding: 1 ml/l Pure Zym 1 ml/l Power Roots Temp and RH values will follow soon. Lamp distance 45cm PPFD started at around 150 to 200 and is currently up to around 340 µmol/m²/s. Big thank you to Sensi Seeds for supporting this run 💚

Wojkers Dear Diary, vegetation week 1 is done and so far the start has been smooth and healthy. Avg values: Day: 24.0°C / 60% RH Night: 20.5°C / 65% RH At the end of the week both plants were transplanted into 2.5 L pots filled with Plagron GrowMix. I increased the lamp distance to 50 cm and raised the PPFD from around 300 to about 450 µmol/m²/s. I also started rotating the pots a little every day to keep light exposure and airflow 'more' even. We’re still taking it easy with the nutrients for now. Up to this point I only used additives. Terra Grow will probably be introduced around week 2 or 3, depending on how they develop. See you next week and big thanks to Sensi Seeds for the support on this run 🤟

Wojkers Dear Diary, veg week 2 is done, and so far both plants are growing healthy. The cotyledons are yellowish, which was most likely caused by overwatering in the smaller 2.5 L pots before. Other than that, everything is moving in the right direction. GG#3 is currently growing the best, even though it was the last seed to germinate. Avg values: Day: 24°C / 39% RH / 1.84 kPa Night: 21.5°C / 48% RH / 1.31 kPa This week has been pretty dry due to the climate outside. PPFD around 360–440 µmol/m²/s Originally I wanted to keep them in the 2.5 L pots for longer, but during week 2 I decided to transplant both plants into the final 11 L pots already. It was also a good chance to refresh the soil situation, because I had clearly overwatered the 2.5 L pots before. You can still see that a bit in the yellow cotyledons. I think that slowed growth down for a few days. Nutrient-wise I’m still only using additives for now. During this week I sprayed Vita Race two times at 5 ml/l. Terra Grow will probably be introduced in 1 to 2 weeks. Progress has been sweet so far. I’ll start topping soon, likely topping twice this run. I’m also still rotating and occasionally repositioning the pots to create more even light exposure and airflow. See you next week and big thanks to Sensi Seeds for the support on this run 🤟

Wojkers Dear Diary, veg week 3 is done and both Garlic Gas plants are looking healthy. Overall growth has been steady, and they are starting to build a stronger structure now. Garlic Gas #3 is still growing the strongest so far, even though it was the last seed to germinate. Garlic Gas #2 is growing more compact, but still looks healthy and stable. At the end of week 3, I started topping and cut both plants above the 4th node. The plan is to top them again later, probably around 10 to 14 days after the first topping, depending on how they recover and develop. So far I’m happy with how both plants are developing. The stems and side branches are getting stronger now. Avg values: Day: 25.2°C / 37.4% RH / VPD 2.00 kPa Night: 21.2°C / 45.4% RH / VPD 1.37 kPa This week was still pretty dry due to the outside climate, but towards the end of the week and now in the middle of week 4, RH is back around 50 to 60%, so it’s not really a problem anymore. PPFD is around 550 µmol/m²/s in the center and drops to around 380 to 400 µmol/m²/s towards the outer areas, with the lamp hanging at 50 cm distance. I introduced Terra Grow in veg week 3 instead of week 4. During this week I also sprayed Vita Race twice at 5 ml/l as a foliar spray, once in the evening and once in the morning. I noticed some brown spots or residue on the leaves afterwards, so next time I’ll lower the concentration a bit to avoid those marks. Progress has been nice so far. I’m still moving and turning the pots regularly to give the plants a more even environment and avoid keeping them in the exact same position all the time. See you next week and big thanks to Sensi Seeds for the support on this run 💚

Wojkers Dear Diary, the second round of topping was done this week, bringing both plants to 16 main tops in total. The two lowest branches were removed as well because they were getting too little light and probably would not have developed properly anyway. Garlic Gas #2 is growing much more compact. According to the breeder, this strain tends to grow very horizontally, which I can definitely confirm. Because of that, all branches had to be tied down to keep the canopy more even and open. Garlic Gas #3 developed bigger and a naturally more open structure, so no LST was done on this plant only topping so far. PPFD is currently averaging around 520 µmol/m²/s, and the lamp was increased from level 7 to level 8 during the week. Avg values: Day: 28.0°C / 57% RH / VPD 1.62 kPa Night: 24.2°C / 57% RH / VPD 1.30 kPa This week was definitely warmer because of the outside temperatures. The switch to Plagron is going really well so far. Vita Race is currently being used twice a week as a foliar spray at a reduced concentration of 2.5 mll, and since lowering the dosage the brown residue/spots on the leaves have not been an issue anymore. Both plants are growing very healthy so far. Garlic Gas #2 is currently developing a much more compact and horizontal structure compared to Garlic Gas #3. Overall happy with their progress right now. Both respond very well. Thanks for reading and big thanks to Sensi Seeds for the support on this run. See you next week 💚

Wojkers Dear Diary, veg week 6 is done and both Garlic Gas plants are still looking very healthy. Over the next weeks it will be really interesting to see how both plants behave during stretch. Garlic Gas #2 is still growing much more compact and smaller overall at around 26 cm, while Garlic Gas #3 continues to develop a more open and bigger structure and currently sits at around 36 cm. It’s nice to see the difference between both plants side by side. During this week, the final cleanup before flower was done. Both plants were heavily defoliated and lollipopped to clean up the structure before the flip. The plants seem to be recovering well so far after the stress and cleanup. The lamp intensity was increased during the week and PPFD is currently averaging around 800 µmol/m²/s across the canopy. Avg values: Day: 26.8°C / 50% RH / VPD 1.72 kPa Night: 23.8°C / 56% RH / VPD 1.34 kPa The switch to Plagron continues to work really well so far. Vita Race is currently being used twice a week as a foliar spray at a reduced dosage. Overall really happy with the development so far. Both Garlic Gas plants responded very well to topping and cleanup. Now it’s time to send them into flower and see how both plants develop during stretch. See you in flower week 1 💚

Wojkers Dear Diary, it’s been a while since the last update, so here’s a quick catch-up for flower week 4. Since the flip to 12/12, I mostly just let the plants grow. On flower day 25, I went pretty heavy with the lollipopping and defoliation. It looks aggressive, but it was done on purpose to focus more on the upper buds and reduce lower popcorn growth. Garlic Gas #2 is still the smaller and more compact plant at around 62 cm. I raised her up a bit to bring her closer to the canopy level. Her structure is much denser and more vertical compared to Garlic Gas #3. Garlic Gas #3 is currently around 86 cm tall and has a more open structure. She naturally grows wider and barely needed any LST so far. Chocolate Rainbow XXL is also in the same tent and currently sits at around 96 cm. Avg values: Day: 29.0°C / 52% RH / VPD 1.95 kPa Night: 25.0°C / 57% RH / VPD 1.40 kPa This week was warmer because of the outside conditions, but overall the climate stayed manageable. Vita Race foliar spray is no longer being used. At this stage I’m watering every 2-3 days with around 6-10 liters of nutrient solution in total, split across all three plants. After the heavy lollipopping, they definitely seem to drink a bit less now. Overall happy with how both Garlic Gas plants are developing. The lollipopping was definitely aggressive this time, so now I’m curious to see how the upper buds build up over the next weeks. A few days have passed since these photos were taken, and both plants have already bounced back really well. See you next week 💚
