Just starting week 3
I am testing a theory. When I add all nutrients per the recommended dosage by GH, I END up with pH 6.5 and ppm 2500. So I've made a 2 gallon jug of 100% concentration and when feeding will add this to straight ph 6.5 water until I hit that weeks desired ppm. So same concentration except diluted to meet ppm standards. I.e. 800ppm next feeding using the concentration listed in this post. Next week same concentration but mixed to 1000ppm (pre flip) also, adding Flora nectar fruit n fusion to start feeding the soil.
End of week 3 (7-7-19)
Watered twice. Once with heavy nutes and one with water since this is the 3rd in series
(feed feed water, feed feed water)
High nutes because I am recovering from nutrient deficiencies since germination.
Also note I'm using light bloom booster since I've noticed in most of my grows I end up purple with deficiencies, trying small doses of 0-10-10 each feeding to offset that.
Added cal mag to the mix as well. Plant seems to have recovered 100% and is back on track. So far so good.
Before I watered straight pH 6.5 room temp water I did a slurry test from 2in in and 2 inches down into the root zone, 1 oz soil 1 oz water. Ph dropped . 8 as it should, was ph 5.6 at the root zone with 600ppm . Water used was 285ppm. She's exactly where I want her right now. Backing the ppm of the next feeding to 800ppm and after every 2nd feeding will bump 200ppm.
Had a rough start getting her to root, now all seems great and she's been in flip for 6 days. No light leaks, 1212, 81 degrees f, 50% humidity, no toxicity or deficiencies, always pH 6.3 ish and 1000-1300 ppm early flower with bloom nutes.
No white pistils ..... Should I worry?
Looking nice n lush.

Good information about nute recommendation. I had the same problem when I followed instructions. I no longer care for manufacturers recommendations.
@Puffer_Bill,
I've been doing the concentrate cocktail for a month or so? And so far I'm really digging it. Also when or if you see the plant is lacking a specific nute, you can always cut back the concentrate and sub in some of what seems to be missing. Less mix, more cal mag but same ppm for a feeding, for example. Has been pretty good
@Puffer_Bill,
So far man I am really digging it. The verdict won't be out for about 7 -8 more weeks but I have high hopes. Would love to have a inexpensive like that's reliable and also productive.
I had my first old man
(38 go easy) dumb fuck moment and it's been going on for over a year now.
My ppm meter isn't a ppm meter. It's a us/cm meter (ec meter) meaning the 1300 ppm I've been feeding the plants is actually 650ppm (1300 us/cm / 2)
So I've been half feeding for a year
Thank you so much for choosing our genetics for this adventure on the grow diary platform๐
Best of luck with the grow my friend lets see what you can do with our Sapphire OG ๐
We are watching with interest from Humboldt County โ๏ธ
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
@GunsGrows, We launched 6 new HSO releases late last year my friend and all are tearing at 20-28% THC so worth a look ๐
The 6 I would suggest are
OGKZ
Sugar Breath
Gorilla Breath
Three Blue Kings
Sapphire Scout
Blue Fire ๐
I think one of these will be perfect mate ๐
Kind regards โ๏ธ
Team-HSO..
@That_Guy,
Thanks man ! I'm anxious to see the dry weight, but I'm more looking forward to terps, flavors and effect. I smoked my precut stuff sat and 2 bowls lasted me 11 hours. I'm a 25 years daily veteran smoker. I'm excited
Now that's one frosty and colourful looking Sapphire Scout ๐
Those flowers look really densely structured and dripping in trichomes๐, what's not to love ๐ค
With love from Humboldt Countyโ๏ธ
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, thanks! It's your Sapphire OG though, I'm looking forward to running the Sapphire scout soon though! Thanks for the kind words, she's coming down next week after a little fading and some time to purple up. She's slowly showing a blend of purple and light green. Great buds. Love the genetics
