Progress is good. I accidentally left the humidifier empty and the VPD was a little high for a couple days, which caused some tip burn and a bit of stress. She's none worse for it though, still very healthy.

She's growing fast, but staying nice and short with tight internodal spacing, likely due to a sustained high humidity and leaving the lights on seedling spectrum. I will switch lighting to veg next week, and repot her into a 5 gallon grow bag, and that will be her final home for the rest of the grow.

She's been repotted into a 5 gallon grow bag, and that will serve as her home for the remainder of the grow. The soil in the bottom half is pro-mix all purpose, and the top half is a combination of coco coir, perlite, worm castings, biochar, blood meal, bone meal, Epsom salts, and a bit of cal-mag.
Healthwise she is doing good, and also putting off a very faint aroma.

4 weeks old and charging ahead. She was topped today, leaving enough nodes to make her a 8-shooter after I remove the 2 bottom shoots that can be kept for cloning, as those generally take root the best.
She is already putting off a noticeable aroma in the tent, kind of a funky spicy smell at this point.

She's stretching now, and looking nice and even so far, barely any imperfections. Lighting was flipped on June 1st, and as of today light intensity has been set to 20 DLI as I don't want to blast her too quickly yet, and instead will gradually dial DLI up to around 40 (or higher) at the tops by mid-flower, or somewhere in the 900-1000 PPFD range.
There's also some mild chlorosis in new leaves that's been present throughout the grow, and throughout I've been doing foliar sprays with cal-mag-iron-nitrogen, and that seems to be helping after a few days of application. I'm pretty sure it's genetic, as there's also a few leaves that are near albino and unable to get much color other than yellow, which is often an issue with a lack of iron. I'll continue to treat new leaves as they come and try not to defoliate too much, other than some lollipopping after the stretch is over. I may try to find an iron supplement to add to the spray or the reservoir, just to target iron specifically and see if that corrects the issue.

She is now 6 weeks old and really starting to stretch. She is also drinking a lot of water, about 2 liters per day, and eating like a horse.
All the training staples have been removed and I'm letting her grow freely, as the tops are all spaced enough apart, but still under the light. I made the decision last week to cut off the top branches and make her a six-shooter, as this will allow for light to get to the secondary branches in the center.
There is a lot of branching happening everywhere, enough that I'm going to have my work cut out for me after the stretch is complete.
Her aroma is starting to mature, a blend of skunk, berries and spice that together has a sweet perfume-like smell. The smell leans more on the berries and spice, and the skunk is more subtle.

This was a big week for her. She doubled in height and she's already pushing out buds everywhere. She's one thirsty gal, drinking several gallons per week. I'm cautiously feeding her very well and keeping my fingers crossed that I don't overfeed her, but with her growth being so vigorous I feel like I don't have much of a choice until I know the stretch is over.
Her smell is developing nicely. Very strong with berries, spice and earthiness up front, and some faint funk/skunk/diesel/citrus undertones.
The tops are mostly even, with a couple of them stretching taller by a few inches over the others. I've been using training clips to slow them down, and so far that's been enough to keep the canopy even. I don't like super-cropping unless I'm forced to.

She finished stretching around June 25th, and since then has been busy bulking up as she rounds off her first week of mid-flower. At her current pace, the harvest window is likely going to be first or second week of August, but trichome color will be the deciding factor of course.
She underwent a large defoliation 5 days ago, but has since recovered nicely. I typically do heavy lollipopping of the lower two-thirds to focus all the energy on the colas, but this time I've chosen to keep the middle canopy intact and I only removed the lower third of the vegetation.
I'm targeting 1.3-1.5 VPD right now. In the winter I'm able to drive the temperatures and humidity down while still maintaining a good VPD target, but we're experiencing a heatwave right now and so I've relying on the lung room and the tent's exhaust to keep the VPD in check to ensure dense buds and a healthy plant.
PAR/DLI is beyond what I would normally push this early, currently around 40DLI or 900-1000 PPFD at the tops, but she's not complaining and none of the fan leaves are trying to hide, so I'll assume for now that she's content with it.
Grow nutrients were halved in her most recent fill-up, as Nitrogen requirements should be greatly reduced. I'll taper them off to nothing in the next couple weeks. Big Bud nutrients will now be stopped as well. Everything else should remain the same unless she starts complaining. I'm not liking the Nitrogen toxicity that's starting to appear in the fan leaves (tips pointing down), but a lot of them will be removed by late flower anyhow. I may need to do a big round of flushing if the toxicity gets worse, but we'll see.

Week two of bulking up is done and she's still marching along. Her smell at the tops is a lemony tropical punch aroma that is mixing in with her sweet skunky spicey perfume. There's still no hint of blueberry however, which is disappointing. This is probably the first QCS strain I've grown that isn't as advertised, definitely not Indica leaning or blueberry. While it's possible the aroma could mature into blueberry in late flower, I very much doubt it. It smells nice, but it's a generic kind of sativa nice with a faint Kush aroma underneath. I may have to do a pheno hunt with the remaining seeds at some point, as there could very well be an indica-leaning true blueberry waiting to be found.
She has been showing clear signs of nitrogen toxicity since the stretch was done, so this past weekend I did 3 rounds of flushing over 24 hours to reset the soil, as well as cleaning out her self-watering reservoir. Any nitrogen from now on will be from whatever is left in the soil, or from her own leaves/stems. There is some Nitrogen present in the Bloom nutrients I normally use, so I may cut off the bloom nutrients entirely and switch to Greenleaf Sea-K (Kelp) as that contains most of the same nutrients. It lacks the Nitrogen and Phosphorus, and instead is high in Potassium which will help her in late flower, as well as supplying additional calcium and some other micros. I believe the soil has plenty of Phosphorus anyway, and that should satisfy her until finish, so I think this will be the best approach from here on out.
I've added a bit of counter-support between the stems with cotton twine, just in case she gets really heavy. I don't anticipate her getting too top heavy, what with all the lower buds competing for resources, but you never know.
She's looking healthy and happy! Great job keeping her dialed in. Itβs always fun to see how these genetics turn out. Just gave you a follow, looking forward to the next update! π±π
