PharmaZ The Nutrients I use are for a Syngenic approach.
Syngenics a new word to me is a combination of Organic and Synthetic, to me this provides the best of both worlds especially when growing in a medium like Coco.
Ive tried a lot of different methods and this one just works for me keeping it simple.
For the veg period I like to use Canna A/B as a base then add Green Buzz Liquids as an additive and PH stabilizer.
Once in mid flower I drop the Canna A/B and continue only with the Organic Green Buzz Liquids.
This has worked for me and I’ve had great results.
Ive also done whole grows start to finish without measuring PH or EC that could be because of my water quality and nutrient quality but nevertheless it makes things a whole lot easier and less stressful when you don’t have to adjust up or down or worry about the strength of your feed.
I can go into more detail with my feeding as time goes on.

Tuesday 2nd June
Transplanted into pure Cana coco amended with Eco Thrive insect frass and a sprinkle of Great White Shark Mycorrhiza.
I’ve used Mycos the brand in the past with great results but couldn’t get any for a good price so I had a smaller portion of GWS
Watered in with
2ml/L Canna A/B
1ml/L Organic Grow Liquid

Defoliation of lower leaves and nodes, also some leaves pointing toward the center of the plant
Added a little extra kelp product Green Buzz Liquid Growzyme to help with the stress from pruning, this product is a must absolute staple in my garden.
Added a small amount of Peroxide to increase oxygen in the root zone after the heat wave the tent temps went up to 96f
I have also been feeding almost everyday, the water in the root zone will not stay cool for long, within a few hours it will reach the tent temps recipe for root rot without dry backs.
This small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide will not affect the microbe population.
I inoculate every 1-2 weeks, adding Living organics, Great white shark and EcoThrive to the surface of the coco after a watering making sure to massage in.

Monday 13th July (day 16)
Defoliated massively, scissors dipped in 3% H2o2 between cuts, I removed pretty much all undergrowth that looked pointless.
Also measured the light distance
It’s 60cm @ 75% will be playing with that soon raising and increasing intensity back up to 85%
Tues 14th July (day 17) 5am
Unfortunately I have sporadic waterings as I’m working nights I’ve been finishing late recently so schedule is all off.
However I have reduced the amount of Base Canna A&B by 50% and also made sure to give a really good heavy watering to try and displace as much excess out as much out of the pot as possible with a higher dose of Kelp to help remineralise excess
Raised light 60cm down to 75%
Check PPFD/DLI
Increase intensity and by day 21 have it around 700-800 in the centre of the tent

Tues 21st July (day 24) 5am
I had to get this in as quick as possible each plant had 2L at 5am, checked at 8am looks ok, but now I’m sure it’s a calcium deficiency caused by too much PK. EC1.4 run off isn’t to high, Ph is a little high though. Tomorrow will be a flush with a normal dose of Calmag Ph corrected

Weds 22nd July (day 25) 3am
Put 10L through the pots, looked like the leaves perked up, I have a nutrient lockout and precipitation between Calcium and phosphorus, I believe the PH was too high and although I was adding Cal-Mag at 0.5ml/L should have upped that to 1ml/L in the flower stretch. Plus sporadic watering and warm weather

Thurs 23rd July (day 26) 3am
Put another 10L through the pits brought the EC down to 1.4 at one point I was seeing 2.4 coming out, so I’m pretty sure there was a lockout and salt build up.
If I hadn’t had the major dry backs things would be different but now I’m having to correct PH and EC.
Over all things are ok but I know I’m teetering on the edge of catastrophe.
I will continue to do low EC big volume feeds to bring the EC right down and “reset”before go back in with PK and boosters

The above feed is to offset the nitrogen in the coco. I have been adding EcoThrive charge too much which has cause lockout due to excess nitrogen in the soil, at first I thought it could have been PK but some research and listening to Brandon Rust I have come to my conclusion that it is a nitrogen toxicity. I was adding far too much organic microbes and supplements.
Basically nitrogen locked out Calmag that caused tip burn, the plants or on the edge of a nitrogen toxicity but because they’re in Coco and have had a mixture of organic and synthetic the organic side has acquired to much nitrates locking out calcium to the tips of the leaves
The BBM has had tip burn the cheese looks too green, both are dark green but the Cheese has more foliage to store the nitrogen hence why little tip burn but more of a vegetative colour, the BBM has hardly any fan leaves left after a strip early in flower. I also think I defoliated too early, but then to second guess I believe if I didn’t feed to much organics the flowers would be much further along.
After the previous 2 feeds I can notice the buds picking back up again. Hopefully I can continue with this mix I’m using now and get some consistent bud growth over the next week. I’ll be glad when this one is over. The summer heatwaves are just tiring when you’re growing especially in coco.
I remember years ago I had issues like this and I said to myself never start a grow in the summer…

Otherwise looking ok, returned home the temp was 35c and humidity 78% that is not good…
Tomorrow I will try to get everything In order again, still going to feed this current program for another week, then I will go back to a more balanced feed using more organics for the final push.

Scraped the top layer of coco exposing roots, applied some great white after doing another flush and feed.
As you can see I’m imputing a low EC and the run off is gradually spiking up everyday.
Only way to reduce it is to do massive amounts of nutrients.
Note to self, make sure the timer is set up so I can be home for lights on watering. Never grow in the summer in coco again.

Heavy flushing EC keeps rising PH hasn’t come down below 2 after heavy watering and light feeding. I’m resorting to a reset flush now put roughly 15L of 1.0EC nutrient mix just Calmag and A&B through each pot and finished off with a Balanced feed for day 38

Have removed the plant stands so I can bottom feed them extra when the lights are off, or if I can’t be home in time for watering. I’ve reduced light intensity when it’s too hot, battling high humidity.
As you can see they are surviving they are a dark green colour and bud development has been super slow due to all the issues when growing in summer.
I shouldn’t have had dry backs early flower should have just soaked them and worked with the humidity. Lessons learned as always with growing it’s never just plain sailing.
I might knock the pure coco on the head and start adding perlite again in the winter.
May get the autopots out haven’t decided yet.
